Chapter 206 The Second Paternity Test

Jiang Liuyun looked at Guan Muyun, who was crying uncontrollably and without any regard for her image, and felt a sense of helplessness.

“You don’t need to be at a loss.” She tried to tug at her leg again, and could clearly feel that the man was using all his strength. “Xiao Shu is not your treasure.”

"It's her! It's her, it's her!" Guan Muyun's eyes were red, and her voice... trembled with sobs, yet there was a hint of coquetry in it all. "I know you had a baby when you left! The age matches up, and her personality is just like yours, except she's a little ugly and didn't inherit our beauty..."

Jiang Shu adjusted her framed glasses expressionlessly: "Mom, how about I break his bone right now?"

Guan Muyun suddenly looked at Jiang Shu, trying to adopt a loving fatherly demeanor, but after a few seconds of eye contact with Jiang Shu, he turned his face away and spoke earnestly to Jiang Liuyun:
“Our baby isn’t very good-looking, and she doesn’t always speak nicely, but I will love her dearly.”

Jiang Liuyun said irritably, "I already said no."

"Exactly!" Guan Muyun said quietly, "You and the baby, don't even think about distancing yourselves from me again!"

"..." Jiang Liuyun suddenly looked at Jiang Shu, "Bao, come here."

Jiang Shu walked over.

Jiang Liuyun reached out and plucked a few strands of hair from her head, then tossed them to Guan Muyun: "Go get it checked yourself."

Guan Muyun took Jiang Shu's hair blankly, then looked at Jiang Liuyun blankly: "Yunyun, Bao and I are biological father and daughter, why do we need a paternity test? Are you afraid of gossip and want to clear her name?"

Jiang Liuyun responded with an "Oh," and said, "I just wanted you to give up."

“I can’t give up. My heart was dead before, but seeing you alive, my heart came back to life…” Guan Muyun rubbed against her leg again, “From this moment on, if you live, I live; if you die, I die. We will never be apart again.”

"..." Jiang Liuyun exhaled a breath of stale air, "You go out first."

"I do not."

Jiang Liuyun gave him a disdainful look: "His face is covered in stubble, his skin is rough, and he's always snotty and tearful. He's ugly as hell."

"Then I'll go back and pack up first." Guan Muyun wiped away her tears with shame, then suddenly remembered something and her expression became flustered. "Could it be that you deliberately sent me away so you could run away with Bao?"

"I'd like to run away," Jiang Liuyun sighed. "I'm sick, I can't go anywhere."

“You treat the illness, I'll treat the leg.” Guan Muyun’s voice was gentle. “After I go back and get ready, I’ll come here and lie down with you. Yunyun, wait for me.”

After half an hour.

Guan Muyun was finally reluctantly stripped off Jiang Liuyun.

He left in his wheelchair, turning back every few steps.

Passing by the research lab, Guan Muyun suddenly remembered something else: "I'm not leaving yet. I'll get the paternity test done while I'm at it. I can brag about it to that bastard surnamed Nie later!"

“Then, this urn…” the assistant pointed to the box in his hand.

Guan Muyun suddenly felt a wave of nausea: "Bury him! Yunyun must never know that I've ever hugged another man or woman, even if they're dead..."

"it is good."

Research room.

The medical professor was furious when he saw Guan Muyun walk in: "You're here again?"

"I'm here again." Guan Muyun had just vented in front of Jiang Liuyun, and now he felt refreshed and in an excellent mood. "I'm here again to do a paternity test."

The professor started picking up the broom from the corner again.

"Don't hit me! I won't test my ashes this time." Guan Muyun carefully took out a few strands of long hair. "These are my daughter's hair—my biological daughter's hair. You should have seen her before. She's the little girl in ward number 1. She's cool and arrogant, incredibly smart, and a very cute and adorable little darling."

“No need to brag, I have a daughter too.” The medical professor’s tone softened slightly. “Leave the sample, come back in a couple of days for the results.”

Guan Muyun rolled up her sleeve, gesturing for him to draw blood: "I'm not leaving. I'll stay here and wait for the results—Xiao Wang, go get me a thick blanket. This lab is terribly cold." The assistant looked bewildered: "But aren't you supposed to be getting your image managed? The stylists and beauticians you hired are waiting outside."

“Bring them all in. It’s the same as doing it at the base.” Guan Muyun was worried. “I have to stay at the base to prevent Yunyun from running away again.”

"Madam said she won't leave."

“My wife has always liked to fool me, ever since I was a child,” Guan Muyun said with a smile.

Jiang Liuyun's hospital room.

After a chaotic scene, the ward finally became empty.

Jiang Liuyun looked at her daughter and said, "Go and complete the procedures for me. I want to be discharged from the hospital."

Jiang Shu: "No."

Jiang Liuyun sneered: "You saw what just happened. Since you're going to die anyway, why bother being haunted by little devils every few days? You might as well go out and have a few days of fun and die a quick death."

"You won't die." Jiang Shu lowered her voice. "The special medicine is almost ready. Your Nie Zheng's progress is also going smoothly; he'll be back in a few days."

"Progress...smoothly?" Jiang Liuyun smiled noncommittally.

At noon, Jiang Shu and Li Yubai returned to the Qingcheng Villa.

On the way, Li Yubai noticed that Jiang Shu seemed distracted and asked her, "Is something on your mind?"

"What exactly is Misty Continent?" Jiang Shu pondered. "My mother seems to be very wary of it, and Nie Zheng and Rong Jingchen have disappeared without a trace since they went there."

“Don’t worry, they’ll be fine.” Li Yubai paused for a moment, “but they probably won’t gain anything either.”

"If possible, I'd like to see it for myself."

Li Yubai remained silent.

“And then there’s the paternity test.” Jiang Shu thought of something else and was quite troubled. “If he pesters me to call him ‘Dad’ like he pesters my mother, should I acknowledge him or not?”

Li Yubai's eyes flickered slightly, but he still didn't speak.

Only Ning Yunzhan and Feng Li were in the villa.

Dressed in flamboyant attire, Feng Li glanced lazily at Jiang Shu, her tone sarcastic:

"You promised to take me to meet Mom today, and it's already afternoon before you finally decided to come back. You really don't value your brother at all. What, don't you love me anymore?"

Jiang Shu: "...You'll come back to the hospital with me this afternoon."

She went upstairs to wash up and change her clothes, and Li Yubai sat down on the sofa and took a sip of tea.

"Judging from the patron's expression, things aren't quite calm." Ning Yunzhan raised an eyebrow elegantly. "Has something happened?"

"I ate some gossip about Madam Jiang and the head of the family," Li Yubai explained, then said in a voice only Feng Li and Ning Yunzhan could hear, "I also caught up on Madam Jiang's condition, which is not optimistic."

Ning Yunzhan pondered, "Approximately how much longer?"

"Half a month." Li Yubai sighed softly, "The composition of virus No. 9 is complex, and Madam Jiang's intake was too large. Even the poison master that Yan Yu brought over couldn't do anything about it."

Feng Li's gaze turned slightly cold: "Won't my darling be very sad? No way, I won't allow it!"

He got up, straightened his clothes in front of the mirror, and urged Jiang Shu, "Baby, are you ready? Mom's waiting, hurry up and take your brother there."

"What's with the rush? Anyone who didn't know better would think she's your own mother." Jiang Shu changed into sportswear and came downstairs, giving Feng Li a disdainful look before leaving with him again.

Inside the villa. Li Yubai looked at Ning Yunzhan:
"You've been to Misty Continent, so... have you heard of the new master?"
