Chapter 26: The Position of the Lord
Nan Zhiyu woke up feeling a little dazed and didn't know where she was.

Warm golden sunlight shone in through the window. She opened her eyes and found that the surroundings were very unfamiliar. Gilded incense balls with flower and bird patterns hung on the sky-blue curtains.

Nan Zhiyu struggled to get up and landed on her feet. Before she could stand up, her legs were shaking so much that she fell to her knees on the carpet.

The servant outside heard the noise and immediately opened the bead curtain to come in.

"Master, you are finally awake." Qingdai hurried forward and helped the man up.

Then, groups of palace maids and eunuchs came in and knelt on the ground. "Your servants are here to greet the young lady Fengyi."

Nan Zhiyu blinked, feeling extremely surprised.

All the women from official families who entered the palace started out as selected concubines, and the highest position they could get was only the Imperial Concubine or Baolin. She thought she was one of them, but she didn't expect that His Highness would give her the position of Fengyi.

After Nan Zhiyu washed and dressed, and just as she was wringing her hair dry, Qingdai came over and said, "My lady, Eunuch Wen is waiting outside the palace."

Nan Zhiyu was still a little uncomfortable, so she said, "Hurry up and let Eunuch Wen in."

Wen Duan was quickly led in. He stopped at the door of the inner room, bowed slightly, and said humbly, "Your servant greets Yue Fengyi."

His Highness always felt that Nan Zhiyu's surname and position sounded unpleasant to read, so he took the word "Yue" as her title.

"Eunuch Wen, please stand up." Nan Zhiyu raised her hand, her hoarse voice sounding a little abrupt.

Wen Duan had dealt with Chai Hui before, and vaguely felt that his attitude towards this new noble was different.

When he stood up, he couldn't suppress his curiosity and glanced up quickly.

Nan Zhiyu sat at the top, with a hint of rose red at the corners of her eyes, a hint of charm between her eyebrows, and a delicate and beautiful face, not like that of an ordinary person.

Wen Duan immediately understood what was going on. No wonder eunuch Chai Hui, who worked for the prince, looked at her differently!

He also behaved more respectfully, "My lady is now a Fengyi. According to the palace regulations, she should be served by four palace maids and three eunuchs. His Highness specially gave Miss Lianyue to my lady."

Nan Zhiyu had no impression of Jiang Yunxuan. She frowned slightly as she thought, "Isn't Lian Yue a maid serving in Chengqian Palace?"

Wen Duan quickly explained: "Your Highness ordered me to do this, and I am just following his orders. The Jiangyun Pavilion where the young master lives is small and exquisite, with everything you need, and the main seat is vacant.

The East Side Hall where you live was chosen by His Highness. There is a lush bamboo grove behind it, which is quiet and elegant. You should like it."

Nan Zhiyu smiled faintly, "Thank you, Eunuch Wen, for helping me solve my doubts. Qingdai will prepare a red envelope for Eunuch Wen so that he can also share in the joy."

Wen Duan quickly bowed to express his gratitude. Only then did he understand what it meant when Eunuch Xiao Chai winked at him when His Highness asked him to come and help with errands.

Wen Duan accepted the red seal with a smile on his face, "Your Highness knows that the young lady is not feeling well today, so he asked you to go to Ganlu Palace to pay respects to the Crown Princess tomorrow morning. And don't forget the one in Yiqiu Palace."

The original plan for the first trip to be favored was delayed until tomorrow because of His Highness.

After Wen Duan was sent out, Nan Zhiyu leaned listlessly on the soft pillow, and her bones seemed to be falling apart.

Last night, she had fully witnessed the prince's tyranny and various tricks in bed.

Fortunately, she thought at first that His Highness really wanted to give her jewelry, but who knew that there was a lot of secrets between those pearl necklaces, waist ornaments, armlets, and anklets.

She seemed to be entangled in these exquisite ornaments, the cold gold chains rubbing against her fair skin, yet fitting tightly against her.

The prince's hot hands wandered among the ornaments, giving her the illusion of being in a world of ice and fire. The prince personally appointed a concubine's daughter as Fengyi, and everyone in the East Palace knew about it.

Qi Zhaoying, the Crown Princess of Ganlu Palace, sat in front of the dressing table and looked at herself in the mirror. "Yin Qiu, do you think I am really old?"

Yin Qiu stood aside and said, "Your Highness is in your prime, why is there any mention of old age?"

Qi Zhaoying raised her hand and touched her cheek, "Then why do you think the prince would fall in love with a concubine's daughter and give her a title?"

Yin Qiu helped her tidy up her loose hair and said in a gentle tone, "My Lady, you are the Crown Princess of the Eastern Palace, His Highness's first wife. You are of noble status, so naturally no one can surpass you."

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince's mind is always unpredictable. Who can control what he wants to do? No one in the harem can question who he values and who he wants to favor.

Seeing that the Crown Princess seemed to be thinking about something, Yin Qiu quickly changed the subject and said, "I heard that Concubine Ming seems to be sick again, and her illness is quite serious. The Imperial Hospital has sent several doctors to her."

The Crown Princess said coldly, "She keeps complaining about her old illness recurring every other day. The number of times that everyone in the Eastern Palace has consulted the imperial physician in a year is not as many as she has."

Ming Zhaoyi had been favored for many years, and her superficial docility was for the sake of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. In fact, she was more jealous than anyone else. Whenever His Royal Highness stayed at someone's place for a few days, she would try every possible means to seduce His Royal Highness to her Hexiang Garden.

"I don't know what kind of connection there is between her and His Highness. She almost took away my position as Crown Princess."

The Crown Princess looked at her hair bun and pearl hairpins in the dressing mirror, and felt satisfied, then she slowly stood up.

Yin Qiu supported her, smiling as he said, "Your Majesty, let's sit on the mountain and watch the tigers fight. Whether the east wind prevails over the west wind or the west wind prevails over the east wind, it will be a hundred benefits to you without any harm. If the new Fengyi is easy to control, Your Majesty, you might as well take her in for your own use."

The Crown Princess nodded in agreement, "Let's make plans after we see the person tomorrow!"

The main hall of Yiqiu Palace
Hua Liangyuan was upset and made several mistakes in writing the poems in the hairpin-shaped regular script. She was so angry that she rolled herself into a ball and threw it on the ground, and even the brush on the table was damaged.

Bai Lu heard the noise and hurried in to clean up. "Your Majesty, why do you have to vent your anger on these things? If they are really broken, I'm afraid you will be sad again tomorrow."

Hua Liangyuan had no place to vent her anger, so she snatched the jade pen from Bai Lu's hand and threw it to the ground. The fragile jade immediately broke into several pieces.

"What's there to be sad about?" Hua Liangyuan had never expected that the seemingly insignificant concubine's daughter would have such ability to make the prince fall in love with her right under the noses of the concubines in the Eastern Palace.

She is just a small Fengyi, but His Highness was so partial to her and gave her a title.

“I wonder what Nan Zhaoxun’s expression will be when he wakes up and learns that his concubine sister has become the Eastern Palace Minister.”

Hua Liangyuan showed no disdain in her eyes. Seeing Bai Lu still squatting on the ground packing things, she knew that she had wronged her, so she said, "Okay, let them pack these things. You are the one in charge, why do you have to do it yourself?"

After Bai Lu packed up her things, she stood up and said seriously, "I have been with the Majesty for so many years, and it is my duty to be devoted to her.

Those little palace maids don't know the Majesty's habit of placing things, so they don't want to find the paperweight that she is used to when she wants to write something.

Hua Liangyuan took her hand and walked outside, "I'm afraid Nan Zhaoxun doesn't know this good news yet. You go with me to congratulate him."

Bai Lu heard the gloating tone in her master's voice and quickly responded yes.

Yesterday, I was exhausted from all the work and my mental state was not very good (=TェT=)
Here I would like to thank ID Li Liming for her two recommendation votes, Chenri for her 10 recommendation votes, Xiaocaibao for her ten recommendation votes, Ci for her two recommendation votes, nihongden for her 10 recommendation votes, and Pamper for her 10 recommendation votes.

Thank you all for your love (*︶*).. .:*The natural traffic is not very high, I sometimes secretly go to the backstage to see if there are any cute people leaving messages to vote for recommendations ( ̄y▽ ̄)~*Covering her mouth and laughing
[Sometimes when I wake up the next morning, I find that some little cuties voted for me in the middle of the night or early in the morning. I am very touched to see this, but I still hope that while staying up late and having fun, the little cuties will pay attention to their health (^o^)]
