Chapter 9: What about your principle of not killing?
Boom!
The electrocutioner's fist smashed down, and the gathered electrical energy instantly melted the steel, leaving behind two huge fist marks.
But he didn't catch Martin.
The moment he rushed over, Martin bent down and lowered his head, rolled along the ground, squeezed through the gap between his arms and legs, and came behind him.
"what!"
The electrocutor roared, turned his lower body, and swung his arms fiercely behind his back. The arc of electricity on his boxing gloves drew a streak of lightning in the air.
Martin stared at the electrocutioner, determined his attack intention, and took a step back before he turned around, just in time to avoid the electric fist.
"It seems my fighting skills are not rusty."
The electrocutioner was enraged by Martin's relaxed expression, and he kept swinging his fists down like hammers.
The cabin was shaken by his smash, but no effective damage was caused.
Martin is not a steel billet on an anvil, but a flexible person who can move.
The electrocutioner exhausted himself to the point of being out of breath, but he didn't even touch the corner of his clothes.
He was sweating and his eyes were red as he shouted, "You can only hide like a woman? Come and fight me head-on like a man!"
"Idiot!" Martin uttered only two words to express his disdain.
He looked around and there was no trace of the Penguin in the room.
The hope of getting more information from the penguin population was completely dashed, which meant that the trip to the ship was in vain.
Martin couldn't help feeling a little annoyed. He stood still, threw away the rifle in his hand, and hooked his finger at the electrocutioner.
"Little brat, I will kill you, then activate your heart and kill you again!"
The fists of the electrocutors collided, arcs of electricity jumped and a large amount of sparks fell, reflecting the hideous face covered with scars.
Martin's mouth curled into a mocking smile: "It seems that your mouth is more powerful than your fist!"
"go to hell!"
The electrocutor was furious. He increased the output power of the gloves to the maximum and strode towards Martin's head.
He felt very proud when he smelled the burnt smell caused by the electric arc piercing the air. It seemed as if he saw the boy's head shattered and his brains burnt by the electric current.
Martin bent his body and easily dodged the electrician's powerful straight punch, while extending his right hand to perform a monkey-catching-the-moon move.
Click!
The electrocuter's little brother, which had no crotch protection, instantly turned into a puddle. The pain that was unbearable for any man spread throughout his body in an instant, directly destroying his perception system. His brain crashed on the spot, and he stood there in a daze, turning into an unconscious puppet.
Martin couldn't bear to see the electrocuted man suffer, so before the man regained consciousness, he pulled out the pistol from his waist, pointed it at the man's forehead, and pulled the trigger, letting death take away all his pain.
After dealing with the clown Electrocutioner, Martin immediately turned around and fired directly at Deathstroke's head.
Although Deathstroke's helmet, which was made of unknown material, blocked the direct damage, the concussion damage from the bullet's impact still made his head buzz.
Batman seized this opportunity, knocked the steel rod out of Deathstroke's hand, grabbed his wrist and twisted it back, directly cutting off his arm.
The pain brought Deathstroke back to his senses.
He used his remaining left hand to pull the ring of the stun grenade at his waist, and dazzling light and powerful shock instantly swept the entire room.
Martin dodged in time, but his ears were still ringing and his eyes were doubled. Batman and Deathstroke, who were at the center of the explosion, were blown out directly, and a big hole was smashed in the wall. However, they were all wearing high-level armor, so even if they were hit in the face by the stun grenade, they only felt a little uncomfortable and did not suffer any substantial damage.
Deathstroke was the first to get up, smashed the glass of the cabin, dragged his injured arm, jumped into the sea, and disappeared in the waves.
Instead of chasing the fleeing Deathstroke, Martin helped Batman up first.
"Go get Deathstroke first. You don't need to worry about my safety." Batman pressed his head with one hand. The aftereffects of the stun grenade on his face had not yet disappeared.
Martin looked at the stubborn Batman and said helplessly, "Compared to Deathstroke, a mercenary who only cares about money, you should be more worried about the escaped Penguin. That fat guy can't fight against the entire Gotham alone. He must have hidden allies."
"Thanks for reminding!"
Batman recovered quickly. He took a few deep breaths, then gently pushed Martin away and stood up by himself.
He stared at Martin for a while, until Martin was frightened, and then he asked, "You usually don't like to get involved in things like this, and you only care about reasoning and logic. Why did you come out in person this time?"
Martin thought Batman saw something and was shocked.
He breathed a sigh of relief and replied, "That's because someone gave me one million to investigate the case. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother with a stinky and stubborn old man like you!"
Batman did not respond, as if he was already used to Martin's sarcasm towards him.
He looked at the room where there were no intact items left and said to Martin, "Can you do me, a stinky, hard old fellow, a favor?"
"It depends!" Martin snapped his fingers.
Batman continued, "I have changed the route of the Last Quote. Help me to control the people on board, and when the ship docks, let Gordon take everyone away."
Martin shook his head and refused. "Then what? Although the people on the ship are all bastards, they also control the economic lifeline of Gotham. If you send all these people to prison and release them within an hour, they will not be punished, and Gotham's economy will be affected. It's not worth it!"
As he said this, Martin walked outside. It was very late at night and he should find a place to sleep.
Batman caught up with Martin. He saw the electrocutor with a bloody hole in his head. He didn't mention the incident, but just said, "You also said those people were bastards. Don't you feel uncomfortable letting them get away with it?"
Martin spread his hands to Batman and said helplessly: "Old man, when you were dealing with criminals, you had endless strategies. Why are you so slow now?"
He tapped Batman's breastplate and said with a smirk, "You are Gotham's Dark Knight, the Shadow of Fear. To those rich people, you are much scarier than the police and the law."
Batman is certainly not stupid, he is just used to dividing his identity, and his mind is not able to turn around for a while. With Martin's reminder, he instantly thought of how to deal with the "guest" invited by the Penguin.
Martin saw that Batman was not as stubborn as he thought, and then said: "I thought you would make trouble for me because of the death of the electrocutioner. After all, you have a 'no killing principle'!"
Batman's answer is simple: "You are not me. I have no right to demand that you agree with my principles!"
Martin nodded and gave Batman a thumbs up.
Then, he felt dizzy and barely stood up. He gave Batman a sunny smile: "See you tomorrow, old Bat. If you still remember me!"
After saying this, Martin disappeared from the spot, along with all the traces of his actions.
Batman only felt a flash before his eyes, and he always felt that there were more thoughts in his mind that did not belong to him, and he had forgotten some things.
But he couldn't remember it no matter how hard he tried, and the armor's system didn't have any record of it.
He had no choice but to keep this matter in mind, go and deal with the Penguin’s guests first, and leave this matter for investigation tomorrow.
