"Strange ancestor spirit, where do you come from?"

An old man wearing a feather crown, a white robe and holding a scepter came out and welcomed Martin on behalf of all the ancestral spirits.

"I am not one of your kind."

Martin explained his origins to the old man.

The ancestor spirit of Comu Camemps, the king of the gods who looked like the Camemps clan, was neither angry nor offended. He just said with a little sadness:
"Since the magic age has passed and the gods have left this world, we have created the Ancestral Land in imitation of the kingdom of the gods, thinking that we can enjoy eternal paradise here."

"But we didn't expect our people to be massacred, and our civilization to be destroyed and distorted. Today, no one remembers our glory. Only a pile of old bones are left, mourning and lamenting."

“So, no matter where you’re from, we welcome you to add a little life to this place.”

Martin bowed slightly to the old man, and then said, "But I can't stay here for long. In the forest of the real world, my friends are in danger and are waiting for my rescue."

"Where are they, we can help."

The ancestral spirits surrounded them instantly.

It was obvious that these people had been idle for too long, so when they heard there was some fun to be had, they all ran over, talking in a flurry, and began to show off their magic and abilities.

Without interrupting their chatter, Martin waved his hand and projected a map marking the location of the pyramid.

The moment they saw the pyramids, all the ancestral spirits stopped, looked at each other, and then fled in different directions as if they had seen a ghost, leaving only the old man in white behind.

"Please forgive their gaffe."

The old man stroked his beard to hide his embarrassment, and then explained: "After the gods left, not everyone was willing to become ancestral spirits and live in this country. They clung to the royal power of the human world and refused to let go, disobeyed the laws of the gods, and turned to darkness, war, and hypocrisy."

"Of course, even if they sold out everything, they did not gain the eternal kingship they imagined. Only a few pyramids were left, exuding their malice towards the world."

A classic story. The ancient man who lived thousands of years ago had nothing else to do after he gained power.

"I'm not surprised. The stronger the light, the deeper the shadow. Now I just want to rescue my friends. If possible, I will destroy the twisted shadow in the pyramid on your behalf."

Martin raised his snake staff and swore a solemn oath.

The old man in white didn't react. All his descendants were dead, so what did it have to do with him whether the pyramid was destroyed or not.

God loves the world, but he is not God!

However, if you want to add a bit of fun to this boring life, this business is a sure win.

"I can help you."

The old man in white's walking stick turned into an eagle and flew out. After a while, a woman hanging by a rope floated over.

The woman's head was covered by her long hair, so her face could not be seen clearly. She was wearing bag-like clothes, and the exposed skin looked purple and black.

The old man in white introduced: "This is the priest of the Istabu Rope Goddess. She controls suicide, sacrifice, and death. She can send you to the living world."

The woman hanging by the rope landed with her feet on the ground and removed the rope around her neck with her hands.

"You're not going to let me put this thing around my neck?"

Martin touched his neck and felt the rope strangling it.

"Hold it."

The woman's voice was low but clear.

Martin obeyed and put the noose around his wrist.

Then the priestess kicked him in the stomach, kicking Martin back into reality.

Damn, why did this woman suddenly go crazy?

Martin continued to fall in the holy lake, and was getting closer to the world under the pull of the noose.

"Come quickly, there's a good show to watch. If you miss this time, you don't know when the next time will be!" The old man in white shouted, and a large number of ancestral spirits rushed over, sitting in front of the huge water curtain, betting on what Martin would do.

When the sun came out the next day, Diana did not set out immediately.

Barbara's physical condition has only improved slightly, but it is still very difficult for her to walk normally.

The dead are afraid of the sun. Before the sun comes out, they return to the earth to avoid the scorching sun.

The plants that had eaten their fill of bones stopped growing and lazily basked in the sun, digesting the nutrients in their bodies.

"I'm sorry, I got you into trouble!"

Barbara felt very guilty when she looked at Diana who took care of her.

She began to doubt whether her insistence yesterday was correct: "If I hadn't held you back, you would have definitely been able to reach the pyramid and complete the project overnight."

"We are friends. Your safety is far more valuable to me than that shitty project."

Diana spoke so nonchalantly that she didn't take the project seriously at all.

Barbara's body stiffened and she stopped talking. She silently cooperated with Diana, drank a bowl of porridge, and then lay down to rest.

Diana didn't think much about it. She left the tent, looked at the traps around her, and shook her head.

"What Martin said is actually true?"

Diana was washing dishes with river water, and couldn't help but think of the man who disappeared without a trace.

If it weren't for the insect repellent powder and traps around the camp, she would have suspected that everything that happened yesterday was an illusion that the forest had forced into her mind.

Her two male colleagues were not sent back to the city, but died in the forest.

"It's all that man's fault. If he didn't have so many secrets, I wouldn't have thought of finding out, let alone falling into such a dangerous situation."

There was no one around, so Diana acted a little willful and blamed everything on the strange man, Martin.

After washing the dishes, she buried this willful thought deep in her mind and would never think of a word about it again.

Diana turned around with the cutlery in hand and was about to leave the river.

Wow!
The surface of the river suddenly broke open, and a piranha jumped out, opening its big mouth full of sharp teeth and biting the woman who turned around.

It was as if Diana had eyes on her back. The moment the piranha jumped out of the water, she turned around, swung the iron pan in her hand, and hit the piranha into the sky like hitting a baseball.

But this was just the beginning. After Diana slapped the first fish away, the second and third piranhas jumped out of the river, snapping their fangs and pouncing on her.

Diana ignored the fish, all she could think about was Barbara, who was unable to move, and ran quickly towards the tent.

Then she saw the river water rising rapidly, and piranhas and water snakes swam towards Diana, the outsider, along the water that overflowed the river bank.

In the forest, countless leopards, black bears, and wild wolves also ran out, revealing their sharp claws, wanting to tear the outsiders to pieces.

A meter-tall goshawk swooped down and snatched away the tent, teasing Barbara who was lying inside.

"Get out of here!"

Diana finally exploded when she saw the blood on her friend's face.

The lasso of truth was thrown out, caught the hawk, and threw it directly to the ground, smashing it into a pulp.

This was Diana's declaration of war to the entire forest.
