Pfft!

Martin pulled the dagger out of the gangster's arm, and a stream of blood spurted out from the diamond-shaped wound, but it was still steaming in the cold weather of Gotham.

"I'm lucky that no artery was punctured!"

Maybe he was too drunk, or maybe he was stimulated by pain and entered a self-protection program.

The guy fell to the ground, blood slowly oozing out of his wounds, but he didn't react at all and fainted on the ground.

"Leave it to fate!"

Martin shook his head and did not offer any assistance to the guy or call an ambulance for him.

Otherwise, when he woke up and saw the bill from the hospital, he would definitely wish he died on the street.

Even Bruce had to admit that Wayne Group was like a huge black hole that sucked in all of Gotham's resources.

No matter how hard Bruce himself tries to set up various charities and donate to government agencies, his output to society cannot keep up with the speed of the Wayne Group's monopoly.

This is how the system works. Even if Bruce is a genius, he cannot change the underlying logic.

Otherwise, why would he give up his job as a CEO and become Batman?

For him, the resources he can use to change Gotham as the boss of Wayne Enterprises are even fewer than those he can use as Batman.

The shareholders of Wayne Group can watch Mr. Wayne use the company's resources to play the vigilante game, but they cannot watch their boss use the company's resources to change the current system in Gotham.

From this perspective, the big bosses in the United States are more class-conscious and know how to build a system that is more beneficial to themselves, rather than simply watching the growth of account numbers.

This is also why Bruce becomes Martin's biggest supporter. As he grows older, he increasingly realizes that the Wayne Group is gradually becoming his enemy.

Previously, Gotham was in turmoil and Bruce was temporarily missing. These instigators wanted to transfer the Wayne Group and completely transform it into an international financial organization.

But their plan was interrupted by Martin and Dick before it could succeed.

But other people in Wayne Group did not give up this plan. They always wanted to change the nature of Wayne Group, completely get rid of the big burden of Gotham, and become world citizens.

But the core of the Wayne Group is the Wayne family. Bruce's ideas remain unchanged, and those guys can only hide their ideas.

“The road ahead is long and there is still much to do!”

Martin showed his face and wandered around the street, waiting for Bruce to find him, while thinking about the alliance.

As for the League of Assassins, he occasionally thought of it, but soon ignored it.

This organization is at best at the level of a number of countries in the Middle East, and this is only possible thanks to Lars' hundreds of years of accumulation.

If the Master Assassin was gone, the Assassin's League would fall apart in an instant.

No one can maintain the supreme sanctity like Lars, so the various rules followed by the assassins naturally lose their meaning. With Talia's heir who has little ambition and talent, it is already good enough for her to win over some people.

Fifteen minutes after Martin walked in front of a camera, the Batmobile roared over, scaring away the idlers on the street.

Soon, the Batmobile stopped in front of Martin, the door opened, and it was Dick, not Bruce, who waved at him.

"Hey, why are you here to pick me up?"

Martin jumped into the passenger seat and greeted Dick familiarly.

After not seeing him for a few days, this energetic young man now has dark circles under his eyes and looks visibly more haggard.

"It's all because of the plans you arranged. I've been so exhausted these days."

When Dick picked up Martin, he leaned over the steering wheel and began to complain.

Martin could tell at a glance that half of this guy's emotions were fake, and said with a smile: "Stop pretending. The Alliance has asked you to handle the management of peripheral organizations, mainly to connect with social resources. Most of these organizations operate according to business logic, which is much simpler than the work within the Alliance."

Dick's biggest problem is, to put it nicely, that he is too compassionate; to put it bluntly, he is indecisive.

The alliance had just been established and various schools of thought were constantly colliding. If Dick were to be drawn into it, it would be much more difficult than his current job of contacting external organizations.

"I'm not like you and Bruce. I can't be tough on my own people."

Dick was indeed resentful.

After Martin persuaded Superman and Flash not to be opinion leaders, Bruce took direct action to persuade and expel a group of superheroes who disagreed with the future development direction of the league.

Dick knew many of the people here.

"I know many of the people Bruce fired. They are all good people who did an excellent job fighting crime in their respective cities. They were fired just because they didn't agree with your plan to form a big alliance with Bruce. How could such a thing happen in the world?"

"There are so many cases like this. Doesn't Wayne Company fire a few people every year?"

Martin really couldn't understand what was going on in Dick's brain. When he was managing Wayne Company, didn't he expel competitors from the company because of development plans?
The nonsense of small government is a lie. In commercial companies with a slightly larger number of employees, every CEO is a dictator who can fire anyone at will.

Why did Dick start to get confused as soon as he joined the Justice League?
"In order for the Earth to be able to resist the invasion of outer space, a new alliance must be formed. This is what the Justice League will do. If it doesn't do this, there is no point for the Justice League to exist."

Martin knew why Dick returned to Gotham, so he spoke very harshly: "Therefore, anyone who opposes this plan is not an enemy, but at least not a friend."

"You and Bruce are being too unreasonable. Will anyone support me if we continue like this?"

Dick seemed to have personal feelings about this matter and couldn't help but start blaming Martin.

But some things seem complicated, but are actually very simple.

For example, Bruce's persuasion of a group of people to withdraw seemed to have hurt many people, but no matter what those people's identities were or what resources they had.

They do not agree with the alliance's goals now. Even if they stay, they will only try their best to prove that they are right, and the conflicts between them will only become greater and greater.

Dick now wants to use the concept of a good person to cover up this ideological conflict, which is like trying to fill a bottomless pit. No matter how hard he tries, he will fail in the end.

Martin knew Dick was not the only one who thought this way.

Postmodern culture is highly deceptive and always tries to use cultural symbols to make up for the real trauma in reality.

For those who live in modern society, it is easy to be misled by various cultural propaganda and believe in the diverse and inclusive neoliberal culture.

The problem is that they have never thought about the fact that this culture only allows you to be diverse and inclusive. When you doubt something, even if you just argue for its disadvantages, it will be regarded as inappropriate and you will be expelled from the big circle of multiculturalism.

But Martin has no interest in playing such ideological games, not to mention that the ideology of neoliberalism is of no benefit to the goals of the alliance.

"If you really think that Bruce and I have done something wrong, we can convince everyone at the regular report meeting." The current social system has developed for such a long time, and some things, such as meeting procedures, can just be copied.

Martin and Bruce privately convinced Clark and Barry on the matter of deciding the development path of the alliance.

But Bruce still discussed the matter in a public meeting and gained the approval of most people.

Procedurally speaking, this is not at all overbearing. Bruce just established a kind of authority, but this authority already exists and is recognized by the majority.

Diana also knew about this. After the results came out, Bruce specifically informed her so that Martin could get the news as soon as possible.

"Bruce and you are both so domineering. I can't compare to you two."

Dick's resentment grew.

Martin said helplessly: "What do you want? You can't explain the reason, and you don't have much ability to do things. Just because you think those people are good people, the alliance should obey your orders and invite them all back?"

"I told you before that I won't talk about these things with you. Look, you're getting anxious while talking!"

Dick was frightened by Martin's fiery eyes, and he also knew that his resentment would not be widely recognized.

His sympathy for the heroes who were dissuaded was only out of personal friendship, and he did not oppose the Alliance's strategy.

To be more precise, he and those heroes who were persuaded to quit never thought about the future of the alliance at all.

Dick was just used to wandering around in a city and dealing with ordinary criminals, and his mentality had not yet changed, so he was afraid of the goals set by Martin and Bruce.

As for what those who try to dissuade others from doing something, it is much more complicated.

"If you really mind this matter, I can discuss with Bruce to change your seat."

Martin didn't intend to force Dick to do anything, and even if he tried, he couldn't force him.

"That's great. Where are you going to help me move to?"

Dick became interested instantly, as he was not a power-hungry person.

There was nothing wrong with hard work, but the significance attached to it made him a little breathless.

"To be honest, I now think that returning to Wayne Group as chairman is not a bad thing."

"You're so happy! You still want to be the chairman? You might as well lie down somewhere and dream on."

Martin said sarcastically, "The Wayne Group's departments must be changed, especially its overseas business."

It is no secret how American business groups take advantage of the US military to sign commercial contracts in third world countries that are no different from plunder.

As the world's leading multinational group, Wayne Group has done this kind of thing many times.

In the past, Bruce could only ensure that these contracts remained relatively fair. Now he no longer wants to do that. He plans to cut down on the Wayne Group's departments, separate the Wayne family's assets, and use all of them to support the construction of the alliance.

"This job is perfect for me. Although I don't want to take action against my superhero friends, I have long been dissatisfied with the shareholders within the Wayne Group."

Dick was so excited that he didn't bother to argue with Martin. He stepped on the accelerator and drove straight to the Batcave.

Martin didn't think this was any easier than the job Dick was doing now, nor did he think the situation he was facing was much better.

He can't stand the resentment of the superheroes in the alliance, but these people in the Wayne Group are much more shameless than the superheroes. When they launch a favor offensive, will Dick be able to stop them?
Just looking at his happy expression, Martin still didn't express his doubts.

The final decision on whether Dick can go to Wayne Group is still made by Bruce.

Besides, he might not be able to listen to what Martin said now.

So I'll just not mention it.

"By the way, I've been busy talking about my own business. What big thing are you planning to do today?"

Dick stepped on the accelerator and drove at high speed on the streets of Gotham, not forgetting to talk to Martin.

Martin replied, "I learned from reliable sources that the invasion of Apocalypse is about to begin. Someone on Earth is secretly communicating with Apocalypse. I want to review the International Gang case and find out who is behind this arms dealer."

"what?"

Upon hearing that Apokolips was about to invade, Dick was stunned for a moment, and the steering wheel tilted slightly. The Batmobile, running at a speed of more than 200 miles per hour, almost knocked out a normal car on the road.

Fortunately, there was a control system on the passenger seat, and Martin pulled back to change the outcome.

"Why are you surprised? Didn't the alliance already report this matter internally before? Otherwise, why would we go to all the trouble to set up a big alliance?"

Dick opened his mouth several times, but no words came out.

To be honest, deep down he felt that the alien invasion was because Martin and Bruce were under too much pressure and had delusions of persecution.

Not only him, other young heroes also felt that alien invasions only existed in science fiction movies and were not really prepared at all.

"I didn't expect the war to come so soon."

Dick unhooked his hands and feet and let Martin take control of the Batmobile while he thought about the aliens.

"You don't have to worry. Bruce and I will make this matter public once we have a rough idea of it."

Martin didn't drive fast, but mainly drove steadily. He only stepped on the accelerator after passing through the complex city roads.

"What is this? Shouldn't everyone be informed immediately of an alien invasion?"

"Look at your current state. Even if I give you a chance to discuss this matter, what can you say?"

Martin is more familiar with these important members within the alliance.

Dick may have inherited Bruce's tactical talent, but his talent has never been proven at the strategic and campaign level.

The main reason is because he always wants to live a stable life as a vigilante, and as a policeman he also likes to be alone.

With these actions of his, it is natural that others cannot be reassured.
