"An unknown ship is approaching!"

As soon as Martin said it was safe, the Sword-class frigate patrolling outside reported the threat.

"Cough cough!"

Under the doubtful gaze of the adjutant, Martin pretended to be calm and waved his hand, saying, "Let's go to the bridge and see what these unidentified spacecraft are from."

Sidonus obediently followed the captain's steps and came to the bridge.

"Report the situation."

Martin plopped down in the captain's chair and gave orders to the person projected in the bridge window.

The two combat teams stationed on the Sword-class frigate were very excited to see Martin. They were excited for a few minutes before they began to report.

"When our reconnaissance aircraft was scouting planets in the galaxy for intelligent life, we discovered that a fleet had suddenly appeared."

"The other side has ten ships, most of which are small boats less than 100 meters long, equipped with unknown standard weapons, and use engines with unknown principles that can fly at superluminal speeds."

When the two combat teams reported on flying at faster than the speed of light, each one was more surprised than the other and they all wondered if they were dreaming.

Martin was not surprised. The hyperdrive that had plagued the Empire for tens of thousands of years was not a rare commodity in the DC world.

Right now, there are spaceships from two Krypton planets on Earth, all equipped with superluminal engines, and able to even open wormholes for flight.

In the near future, after the establishment of the Justice League, Batman will be able to build a hyperdrive by himself.

In the universe, superluminal engines are probably everywhere.

"Do you think the other party is a threat? How serious is the threat?"

Martin waved his hand to quiet down the bridge that was operating at a superluminal speed.

"The situation is unclear and we cannot make a judgement. Please ask the company commander to conduct an in-depth reconnaissance."

The two combat teams applied to Martin at the same time.

Martin thought for a few seconds, then said, "Send a call to the other side in my name, and ask the two frigates to return to prevent any accidents."

"If you are worried that the other side is in danger, why don't you just send a combat team to land on the other side's spacecraft and take control of the situation first."

Sidonus made his own suggestion.

Martin shook his head: "If the other party has no problem, we will trade normally. If the other party has ill intentions, it is not too late to take action later."

He had seen the photos sent back from the first reconnaissance. Regardless of the size of the fleet, it certainly did not look like warships.

However, eyes cannot be trusted.

Until you are sure that the other party is not dangerous, you must take any precautions.

The two frigates returned to the cruiser and Martin ordered the calls to begin.

When radio waves began to spread between planets, the fleet from another world made its voice heard to this world for the first time, and soon received a response.

"Gulu gulu..."

The image of the captain of the opposing fleet appeared on the screen. He was a fish-headed man with gurgling sounds coming from his mouth.

The cruisers were of course equipped with translators, but those were only for the cosmic races of the Warhammer world and were obviously not applicable to the races of the DC world.

Martin felt a little regretful that he didn't go on the Krypton spaceship with Clark yesterday to take a look around the world and the universe.

But it doesn’t matter, if technology is not enough, magic can make up for it.

Martin raised his right hand, runes lit up on his hand, and the next moment he forcibly established a mental link with the other party.

"I'm Martin, the captain of the Second Company of the Extreme Regiment. Our spaceship encountered a cosmic storm and lost its way. I hope to get your help."

A strange voice suddenly popped up in his head, and the fish-headed captain jumped up.

"Get out of my head, you damn psychic." "Don't worry, I'm not interested in your secrets. I do this just so that we can communicate normally."

Martin calmed the other person's emotions and did not try to pry into his secrets, nor did he have the ability to do so.

Connecting to another person's spirit across such a long distance is as fragile as a hanging spider thread, which is at risk of breaking at any time.

The fish-headed captain seemed a little restless, and Martin initially thought it was because of his magic.

But soon, he discovered that there was another reason for the other party's panic.

"I won't waste my words on you, you strange psychic."

The fish-headed captain seemed to see something and became panicked in an instant.

"We are a pirate fleet. We were attacked by the enemy not long ago. Our main force was destroyed and captured, and only our few ships are left."

"If you are willing to help us stop the enemies that are chasing us, I am willing to give you all the star maps I have, and I can also help you repair the damaged hypersonic engine."

Sidonus was pulled into this link by Martin.

He could not accept such behavior. For a Space Marine, being treated as a mercenary was an utter insult.

Martin was also wondering what on earth these pirates had encountered that caused them to panic to such an extent.

After a moment, he made a decision: "Okay, I can go meet your enemy. But you must first pay a deposit and send the star map of this galaxy over."

The fish-headed captain didn't even bother to bargain and directly sent the star map over.

The navigator on the bridge compared the reconnaissance information with that of the frigate and confirmed the authenticity of the map.

"There is no intelligent life in this galaxy, and the natural environment of several planets is also very harsh. If we want to contact the civilization of this universe, we can only compromise with these pirates temporarily."

Mira also rushed to the bridge. After hearing about the hyperdrive, she urged Martin to accept the other party's conditions.

Sidonus was actually also tempted. He didn't even dare to think about what would happen if he could bring this engine back to the empire.

"If you want a hypersonic engine, you don't necessarily have to get it from these pirates."

Martin watched the pirate fleet slowly approaching and ordered the three ships to prepare for defense and counterattack while moving forward.

The two sides soon met, and the huge cruiser, capable of crushing any ship in the pirate fleet, cast a dark shadow, covering the other fleet.

Maybe these pirates just wanted to escape, or maybe these pirates were shocked by the cannons and torpedoes of the Imperial battleships. The other side did nothing, their engines spewed out long tail flames, and they just wanted to leave the galaxy quickly.

"Captain, those pirates are about to escape."

Sidonus looked at the suddenly skyrocketing energy index and realized that the other party was going to use a hyperdrive to escape.

Seeing that the duck in their mouths was about to fly away, the entire bridge became anxious. Everyone looked at Martin, who was as steady as a rock, hoping that he would give the order to open fire as soon as possible.

Martin was indeed not in a hurry. He looked in front of the cruiser and suddenly a green light appeared. He couldn't help laughing in his heart.

No wonder those pirates were running around with their eyes closed, as if their butts were on fire.

"Open fire, paralyze the enemy's engines first, then organize troops to board the ships and control the entire fleet. Require each combat group to focus on capturing the enemy and not to kill them at will."

hum-

The cruiser and the two frigates' light spear weapons fired dense red barrages, hitting the pirate fleet's protective shield and interrupting the opponent's superluminal jump.

Torpedo after torpedo was fired stealthily and silently amidst the laser barrage, penetrating the energy shield and directly destroying the pirate ship's engine.

The pirate ship did not expect Martin to suddenly turn around and attack it. It was caught off guard and all its engines were instantly hit by torpedoes, leaving it stuck in space and unable to move.

"You bastard, you broke your promise!"

Martin laughed and said, "You bastard, you deliberately led me to deal with Green Lantern? We are both equally matched, so let's not blame each other."
