Chapter 639 Phantom
I have to say, watching beautiful women climb walls is actually quite pleasing to the eye.

"Damn it!" the other person cursed as they retreated to the corner of the stairs.

Wayne found the lever-action rifle more comfortable. After kicking the dagger beside the man lying in the corridor away, he roughly tracked the guy's movements on the stairs and began to use his senses to pass through the walls, even through the wooden steps.

Sanders, the tough guy, swung his leg and threw Connor to the ground with a thud, just like Loki being beaten up by the Hulk in the movie.

At that moment, the sound of shattering glass, as if someone was breaking a window and getting out, came from upstairs. The location was at the back of the building. Then, a series of gunshots rang out outside, followed by the loud explosion of high explosives in a relatively open area.

Connor, who had been thrown to the ground, quickly rolled on the floor, baring his teeth, and tumbled into the opposite corridor on the other side of the stairwell, completely blocking any possible path to the back door. He considered giving the middle finger but then decided against it, so he grabbed a lever-action rifle from behind his back with one hand and clenched his fist at Sanders with the other.
The people who had been hiding on the stairs seemed to have already gone upstairs. Wayne, under the cover of two guns behind him, rushed to the bottom of the stairs. Finding no one in sight, the minimalist camera lens quietly panned upwards. These guys seemed to have mainly concentrated on the second floor. The high explosives Lina had thrown appeared to have detonated in the second-floor living room; amidst the chaos, the soles of shoes could be seen lying helplessly in the floor. It seemed she had retreated back to the third floor; faint sounds of movement could still be heard from a distance.

Amid the explosion outside the back door, Sanders peered at the side of the neck of the man lying in the corridor, nodded slightly to Wayne and Connor, and then Wayne continued rushing upwards.

The second floor was relatively "clean," with all the rooms having their doors open. Even the living room, which occupied nearly half the area, was empty.

Then, tentacles made of tiny dots rushed towards him. Wayne first dodged to the side of the wall, then quickly pushed against it, falling to the ground and spinning in a circle before immediately pulling his legs back a short distance.
These tentacles could actually pass through walls. After they "grew" out of the wall, they lashed out a few times like whips. Then, they received "reinforcements," with several more sprouting up from the side. Just as he was about to circle back to the front of the door to find a shooting angle and continue to exploit the weakness of the person inside, the man inside rushed out.

The minimalist visual system now had a side effect; the swarming, randomly floating "dots" completely obscured his figure, making their positions even harder to guess than those of ordinary wall-penetrating attacks.
Connor and Sanders, who were checking the other rooms on the second floor for safety, also came to the rescue. Together, they fired continuously at the guy whose appearance in Wayne's vision was comparable to the "King of the Swarm". The gunshots rang out in the room like surround sound.

Two twisted lines crashed down from the upper floor into the "swarm" of tiny dots. As Lina peeked out from the stairs, the figures hiding among the dots seemed to have their movements restricted as well.

Just when Wayne thought this guy was doomed, the minimalist lines of his vision once again showed an X-ray-like "penetrating" effect. It wasn't that Wayne's extraordinary abilities had been enhanced, but rather that a "bright light" pierced through all obstacles like lightning, making Wayne's vision seem to be able to see only it for a moment.
