Chapter 190 Falling down

Chapter 190 Falling down
The harsh voice was angry: "You are an incurable idiot! How come you can't even speak clearly? Didn't your mother teach you?"

A steady voice stopped his companion, "He's human! Don't be so mean! Use serpent language, kid."

Finally, a gentle female voice guided Harry: "Repeat after me: 'Open'."

"Open it," hissed Harry, realizing that this was the evil sound he made when he talked to the snake.

The faucet emitted a dazzling white light and began to spin rapidly. Then the sink began to move as well and soon disappeared, revealing a very thick water pipe.

"You are still useful!" "Great!" "Now catch our tail..."

A thick snake tail covered with thorns, orange in color with black stripes stretched out.

Harry was so frightened that he fell to the ground: "What a big snake!"

"Did they scare you? I apologize on their behalf." "Stop talking nonsense, kid! Catch it!" "That's our tail. We thought you knew who you were talking to!"

"Well... just a big friendly snake..." Harry muttered, wrapping his hands around his robes to protect them from the thorns on the tail.

"Push harder!" three voices shouted at once, and Harry noticed that the scales on the snake's tail were ridged in rows, as if it was also exerting force.

"Will this really work?" Harry's face flushed red, but the giant snake stuck in the pipe did not react.

"Have you realized your true gender, Potter? That's why you were yelling in the girls' bathroom?" Harry heard the voice before he saw the person, and he knew with his heels that the person was Snape.

He turned his head and saw that Snape had just walked to the door of the girls' bathroom.

Obviously, Snape was stunned by the huge pipe in the girls' bathroom and the snake tail in Harry's hand.

"What..." Snape made a sound of breath, and then shouted, "Let it go! You idiot!"

Of course Harry didn't let go. Resisting Snape's orders had become one of his instincts. He was also waiting to hear the familiar words "5 points deducted from Gryffindor"!

As Voldemort's number one Death Eater, Snape also has the identity of a spy for the Order of the Phoenix. In other words, Snape's strength has been certified by both Voldemort and Dumbledore.

"Potter, come here!" Snape did not continue to wait for Harry's action, but waved his wand and chanted the flying spell.

Harry, who was holding the snake's tail, immediately felt a huge force coming towards him. The power of magic grabbed his two hind legs and pulled him towards Snape.

The sudden loss of weight made Harry subconsciously grab the only thing he could hold on to, which was the colorful and terrifying snake tail in his arms.

"This brat is really strong!" "It works! It works!" "The three of us can't hinder each other. As long as one of us gets out first, the space here will be much more relaxed!"

Before Harry could hear what the three voices said, he felt his body flying backwards rapidly.

"what--"

Harry fell heavily against the door, causing his glasses to slip off his nose.

As he fumbled for his glasses in a blur, he heard Snape's sharp breath and three voices shouting, "We're free!"

Finally, Harry got his eyes back to where they belonged, and found himself lying next to Snape's shoes.

Harry first moved his body to the side by using his elbows, then he climbed up and saw clearly what Snape was confronting - a terrifying giant snake with three huge heads that almost filled the entire room!
"The Monster in the Chamber of Secrets!" Harry immediately thought of Ron and his thesis.

A strange snake with many heads living underground in the Black Lake!

Of course three heads could be considered a lot, because Harry had never seen a creature with two heads!
Where does the pipe in the bathroom lead to? Where else but the Black Lake? Hogwarts is not by the sea!

The giant beast before them perfectly met their predictions!
Am I really a genius?
No one could answer the questions in Harry's mind, because in this small bathroom, the situation was far more complicated than what a teenager could think.

Each of the three giant snakes lowered its head and hissed.

"We have you to thank, child," said the middle head, and Harry realized it was the soft female voice.

"How about a poisonous kiss?" The head on the right spoke in a harsh and impatient voice, spitting out its tongue fiercely.

The head on the left said in a steady voice, "I suggest you run now, the stuff down there is about to come out."

Just as Harry was about to respond, Snape pulled him behind him.

As the professor of Potions, master of the Dark Arts and duelling expert, Snape certainly heard what Harry said about the "monster in the Chamber of Secrets", which is why he was so nervous.

The legend of the Chamber of Secrets has been circulating in this castle for thousands of years. As the head of Slytherin, Snape finally has the opportunity to face this monster today.

The three heads of the giant snake were standing in front of the two men, hissing and spitting out their tongues. Snape felt that he had to do something.

Because he considered that the monster hidden in the secret room in the legend would carry out the orders of the heir and eliminate all those who were unworthy of learning magic in this school.

Harry's mother was a Muggle-born wizard, and Snape himself called himself the "Half-Blood Prince". He was not someone who was born to learn magic as Salazar Slytherin said.

"God's sword is invisible!" The half-blood prince used his most powerful black magic as soon as he attacked.

The invisible magic blade cut off a row of thorns on the middle head of the giant snake in the blink of an eye. It can be seen that Snape was aiming at the eyes, but it missed by a little bit. The damage caused by this spell was not enough to affect the entire giant snake.

"How rude!" Harry heard the middle snakehead complain.

"Kill them!" the snake head on the right suggested.

"We are not allowed to hurt people in this castle! Leave, we are free!" The snake head on the left stopped its irritable companion.

The giant snake's tail swept across the bathroom cubicle, smashing the green wooden structure with peeling paint into pieces. The three snake heads shrank back, avoiding Snape's second spell.

"Thunder Explosion!" Snape changed his strategy. The giant snake's agility was beyond imagination. He needed a spell with a larger killing range.

However, the red light from the wand only hit a toilet bowl flying in the air, and ceramic fragments exploded throughout the bathroom space, accompanied by water splashing out of the water tank.

Harry raised his arms to cover his head and face. If he was scratched by these fragments, the famous Potter would be disfigured.

"Armor protection!"

A pale golden magic barrier suddenly appeared, blocking all the debris rushing towards the two.

With a loud bang, the three-headed giant snake broke through the bathroom wall and escaped.

In a trance, Harry thought he heard the voice of Professor Lockhart, whose office was next door.

“There really is a monster!”

Lockhart originally wanted to find out what was going on on this floor, but as soon as he opened the door, he saw three giant snakes passing by his door. He was so scared that he immediately closed the door and even locked it, and moved his huge solid wood desk to block the entrance. "That's a giant runescope!" In the bathroom, Snape's black eyes stared at Harry's green eyes without blinking.

"What snake?" Harry asked instinctively, but he immediately started to make amends before Snape deducted points from him and after causing such a big disaster, "You know, Professor...well, I'm only in my second year this year, and I haven't started studying Care of Magical Creatures yet..."

"I never thought that you were the heir of Slytherin..." Snape had no intention of answering Harry's question, nor did he intend to listen to his excuses. He just kept talking to himself.

"It wasn't me!" Harry denied vehemently, "I saw someone else..."

He closed his mouth tightly. Now he knew completely that the person who quietly entered the secret room that night was the heir - Ivy Doom.

But they are friends...

"Who!?" Snape roared.

Harry had never seen him so angry. Undoubtedly, Snape hated Harry, but he always expressed it in a bitter, sarcastic, and somewhat unpleasant humorous tone.

After all, he was a professor and always had the upper hand in every clash with Harry, so why would he get mad?

The Heir of Slytherin will kill everyone in Hogwarts who is not worthy of learning magic...

Hermione's voice flashed through Harry's mind.

Even though Ivy was a Slytherin, he was different.

Ron was also speaking in the back of Harry's mind.

Snape's eyes seemed to be able to see through Harry. He tried hard to stop his mouth from making any sound, for fear of accidentally saying Ivy's name.

Parseltongue. Ivy. Chamber of Secrets. Hydra. Dragon.

All kinds of thoughts were flying around in Harry's mind, even including Professor Lockhart's homework and the basilisk that Hermione had only told them about once.

Could it be that Snape was transformed from a basilisk?

Harry had no reason to think about this.

Otherwise, why did Harry feel like he was suffocating every time he was stared at by him?

Snape's eyes changed, as if he knew something. He opened his harsh lips, ready to utter some vicious words.

But the sudden sound of music interrupted him.

The two people in the bathroom looked at the pipe that Harry had opened with Parseltongue before. The music came from there.

No, not music, but the chirping of birds.

Harry had just realized the truth about the music when he saw a fiery red shadow rushing out of the pipe.

"Fawkes?" Harry heard Snape mutter, "So Dumbledore has..."

The fiery red shadow was a big, beautiful bird with golden-red feathers, and it flew around the bathroom, chirping loudly.

Phoenix.

Harry called out the only name he knew of that matched the creature.

"No! That's not right!" Harry suddenly shouted, "That three-headed snake just now was not the monster of the Chamber of Secrets!"

The flying phoenix landed on a rickety toilet tank.

The toilet and water tank in Hogwarts are separate, with a pipe connecting them. The advantage of this is that the water used to flush the toilet has more gravitational potential energy and flows faster, so the toilet can be flushed cleaner. Muggle toilets use other designs to increase the flow rate of water, so the water tank and toilet can be connected together.

The runespoor's tail attack destroyed almost all the toilets, but part of the water tank hanging on the wall was not damaged, but all the water in it now flowed onto the ground.

Snape's eyes did not blink as he stared at the Phoenix high up. The Phoenix also tilted its head and stared at the two humans, one tall and one short, in front of it.

"It told me before that there were monsters fighting underground!" Harry tugged at Snape's sleeve, trying to remind him that there might be a dragon underneath. "It must be the Phoenix and...some other creature..."

"You're a Parseltongue..." Snape began to glare at Harry again, with a hatred in his eyes that Harry could not understand.

"What did the snake say to you?" Snape asked softly.

"It said the monster would kill everyone... and that we should leave..." Harry tried hard to recall, but how could one remember what three mouths said at the same time?

"Gone?" Snape asked with his eyes wide open, as if trying to use his eyes to help Harry dig the memory out of his brain.

"It had three heads and three mouths..." said Harry. "I can't remember..."

"Someone's talking again..." Harry tilted his ear and listened carefully.

It was a barely audible whisper, but it was getting closer and louder.

Kill you! Tear you apart!

The phoenix jumped up from the water tank and started singing again.

Harry suddenly felt courage growing wildly in his chest like bamboo shoots after rain. His heart was beating wildly, pumping out blood. He felt clear-headed, better than ever.

"There's another snake coming out!" Harry shouted. "It's going to kill us!"

Although he didn't like his Potions professor very much, he was at least the second person in this small bathroom, and Harry hoped to get his attention.

However, Snape attached great importance to everything that happened in Hogwarts, especially anything that might be related to Voldemort.

"Come here!" He pulled Harry behind him, facing the big hole in the wall, and backed away with his wand raised.

Turning your back to your enemy is always a foolish act, and Snape would never make such a low-level mistake.

The noises in the pipes grew louder and louder, but Harry was so completely hidden by Snape's black robes that he could not see a thing.

"I can walk by myself!" he protested.

However, before he could wait for Snape's ridicule, the arm that was holding his shoulder seemed to lose all its strength at once, and before he could react, Snape's body pressed him down.

"Ouch!" Harry's head hit the floor, splashing a lot of water. Before the dirty water on the ground poured into his ears, he heard the sound of a giant swimming across the water and the angry cry of a phoenix.
