Chapter 150 Underground Space

Chapter 150 Underground Space
Christina on the stage had fallen into a deep sleep. Although Dumbledore in the box had stopped talking, Nicolas Flamel still missed a wonderful performance.

But he didn't care at all and continued to immerse himself in the musical. After watching it many times, Nico knew very well that the first conflict of the plot was just about to unfold.

The Phantom of the Opera, who sent Christina to sleep, was writing at his desk. He lived underground in the opera house and made a living by writing new operas for the theater. However, he never gave his operas to the theater manager in a normal way, and he never showed up. He lived like a shadow in the theater, relying on various secret passages and dark rooms in the theater to travel around.

"Did you know?" Nico said with interest, "The total number of doors and keys in the Garnier Opera House is almost over 10,000, and there are several miles of underground tunnels. Maybe there really is a Phantom of the Opera living somewhere unknown to Muggles!"

Ivy felt that Nicolas Flamel's joke might actually come true. After all, weren't there all kinds of ghosts living in Hogwarts Castle? There were even wizard ghosts from a thousand years ago, the Bloody Baron of Slytherin, and Helena Ravenclaw of Ravenclaw.

Although "The Phantom of the Opera" is just a literary work from the Muggle world and the characters played by the actors are just fictional images, a dark and damp place like the underground space of the Opera Garnier may really be able to attract some ghosts.

Ivy wanted to explore. His experience points had not increased significantly for a long time. With the little experience he had gained from studying in the academy, he didn't know when he would be able to obtain a ninth-ring spell slot. He also wanted to experiment with the effect of wishing in this world.

As we all know, there are two main ways for adventurers to gain experience points. One is to fight, and the other is to complete adventures. If there is really something interesting under the Garnier Opera House, maybe Ivy's level can be raised by one or half a level.

"Oh--"

The Phantom of the Opera let out a scream, causing Ivy to turn his attention back to the stage.

It turned out that Christina, who had been sleeping soundly, had woken up. Seeing the Phantom writing at the desk, she became curious and sneaked over and tore off the white mask on his face.

"…You damn, snooping Pandora! You little devil, is this what you wanted to see?"

The Phantom of the Opera, who was attacked by surprise, uttered a vicious curse, venting his panic and anger. The pitiful Christina fell to the ground and curled up into a ball.

Seeing the beauty frightened, the extreme and eccentric Phantom of the Opera couldn't help but feel a little pity, not to mention that this was the girl he had always loved.

"Do you dare to look at this face that is stranger than you can imagine? Do you dare to think of me?"

The Phantom of the Opera softened his tone and began to confess affectionately: "This disgusting and weird man, suffering in hell, secretly yearns for heaven... quietly... quietly..."

Watching Christina in a white dress slowly turn her head, the Phantom of the Theater gently guided: "Fear can turn into love. You will find that the man behind this monster, this beast-like man, is also quietly longing for love..."

When Christina was attracted by the singing and wanted to catch a glimpse of the Phantom of the Opera, he himself backed off.

The extremism and eccentricity displayed by the Phantom of the Opera was just to cover up his deep inferiority. In the face of the young and beautiful Christina, he finally turned his face away.

Christina thoughtfully picked up the mask for him. When the inferiority and ugliness were covered by the mask again, the strength and weirdness of the Phantom of the Opera returned. He pulled Christina up from the ground and wanted to send her back to the backstage lounge of the theater.

Ivy chuckled quietly and stood up from his seat.

"Where are you going?" Nico turned around in surprise, "The fun is just beginning!"

"You're right. This exciting plot makes me want to explore the underground space of the Opera Garnier." Ivy replied with a smile, standing up from his chair and casting an illusion spell on himself.

Watching the heavy wooden door of the box open and close, he shook his head in astonishment, then laughed again: "It seems that Ivy has long been impatient with the nagging of the two old men! Being able to endure it until now is pretty good among young people."

Dumbledore suppressed his desire to say something. Could he say that this tall young man, who was even a few years older than me, was an antique from more than a hundred years ago?

The Opera Garnier was indeed just as Nicolas Flamel had described, with countless doors and locks. If anyone wanted to steal something here, the key alone might weigh several kilograms.

But Ivy is a wizard. When he was still a student at Hogwarts more than a hundred years ago, he had already picked all the boxes and locks in the academy. No matter how exquisitely crafted and complex the lock of the Garnier Opera House was, he could use the "Alaho" to crack it.

Thanks to the fact that electronic locks are not well developed nowadays, the Opera Garnier has not been modernized. If it is converted into a museum in the future and replaced with electronic locks, Ivy may have to use gaseous body.

Walking through the corridor decorated with Ionic columns, Ivy passed by the brilliance reflected by the crystal lamps like a shadow. Although there was a performance in the main hall, there were still many staff members in the corridor, and Ivy had to be careful to avoid each of them.

The Disillusionment Charm uses magic to make the wizard's body transparent. In short, it uses magic to change the refraction path of light. It is not complete invisibility in the traditional sense, so some unnatural places will appear when moving.

Even though Ivy was an experienced wizard who had been immersed in this art for many years, he still couldn't avoid revealing some flaws under the colorful lights reflected by the countless crystal chandeliers in the corridor.

There are some unnatural changes in color at the edges of the body outline, as if there is some translucent object standing on the ground.

Ivy saw a staff member looking towards him with a look of horror on his face.

Just as Ivy was about to perform a painless memory modification on him, the staff member looked away as if he had seen a ghost.

As long as Ivy stopped moving, the magical effect of the Disillusionment Spell would stabilize and his invisibility would become invulnerable again.
