Chapter 79: Theory of Square and Circle, Great Advancement in Taoism
Chapter 79: Theory of Square and Circle, Great Advancement in Taoism (Part )
On Fuyun Mountain, Taoist priests of all sizes went down the mountain together. The sounds of footsteps rose and fell, from top to bottom, from far to near.
Seeing the four figures appearing in the field of vision, Xuanxu, who was leading the group, suddenly stopped and ordered, "Tell the disciples to walk lightly. It is best to use magic power to support them, do not make any noise, and approach quietly."
Xuanyin understood and did it quickly.
After a cup of tea, hundreds of Taoists, with Xuanming and Hai Fengming as the center, fell asleep in different sleeping postures.
Some people lie on their sides, some lie on their backs, some lie flat, some sleep on the ground, some lie on treetops, some float on the water, some spread their legs in a circle, align the soles of their feet, face the perineum, and place their hands on their navel; some people also spread their legs in a circle, align their feet, but fold their hands on the Baihui point on their heads.
Huan Yang Lying, Hun Yuan Lying, Five Dragons Coiling...
If you look down from a high place at this moment, you will find that they form a yin-yang pattern, and Xuanming and Hai Fengming are like yin-yang eyes.
The spiritual deer Changshou was also sleeping with his sister Changfu, Yan Zi, Bee and others. Seven spiritual cranes also arrived and slept standing on one leg. The spiritual bird Shi Jin, which Changning had carefully raised, was sleeping soundly with the red-feathered chicks, with the chickens standing among the cranes.
The breeze blew across the hills, hundreds of people slept together in the woods, all with comfortable expressions, and a peaceful atmosphere filled the air.
Xuanming doesn’t know about this for the time being.
As his breathing gradually became more in sync with Hai Fengming's, he paused from traveling through the mountains and rivers within his body, and felt a mysterious Taoist rhythm attracting him.
Following this feeling, Xuanming came to a strange place. It was pitch black all around, dark, empty and silent.
A point of clear light, like the morning sun, broke through the darkness and dispelled the gloom, eventually forming a square jade slip, three feet long and wide, like the four corners of the universe, emitting a solemn, sacred and inviolable feeling.
It was blank, like a book without words. There was not a single word, line or pattern. Xuanming was puzzled. He pondered for a moment and then suddenly smiled. Blessing came to his mind and he released his own Dharma meaning. Yin and Yang were the same, and the two principles were Tai Chi.
---
As the mysterious Dharma idea emerged, the three-foot jade slip shone brightly, and fine characters appeared on it. The strokes were horizontal and vertical, and each one was square, forming laws and orders. Then they flew out of it and condensed into a Dharma idea, which was bright, magnificent, and righteous.
The two groups of Dharma will echoed each other, and a portal suddenly appeared in front of him. Xuanming stepped on the bridge formed by his own Dharma will, stepped up, and walked from one section to another. In an instant, his body became smaller and fell into the three-foot book.
After a dizzying moment, Xuanming found himself in a special world. The whole world was a city, square and neat. Walking in the city, the houses were square, the land was square, and the streets were clean and tidy.
This is a city-state, consisting of three parts: the monarch, officials, and the people. The monarch is wise and powerful, and governs the country according to law; the officials are honest and abide by the law; the people are law-abiding and abide by the law. The people are united and form a trinity. The laws are clear and the orders are carried out. The society is harmonious, people live and work in peace, and the country is prosperous.
Xuanming was in the midst of it, feeling carefully that every person, every piece of land, every house, and every river were condensed by a special legal meaning, which was used to formulate laws and regulate words and deeds.
In other words, the city under our feet was created by the spirit of law, the ancient artifacts are in accordance with standards, and the legal objects should be in accordance with rules.
"The way of the Legalists!"
Xuanming suddenly realized.
Although it was unclear why this Dharma power appeared, opportunities were hard to come by, and his own Dharma power became stronger under his feet. The Tai Chi condensed into a big circle, covering the city on all sides.
There was a sky in an instant within the three-foot-long scroll: the sky was round and the earth was square, the earth was regular, the sky was round and harmonious, the square and the circle intersected, and all kinds of Taoist rhymes were derived from the collision.
Within the square, the orderly city is less rigid and more flexible. The houses are generally regular, but the details have changed. Some are carved with patterns, some change color, some are raised, and some are widened. The people are less stubborn and more flexible in dealing with things; officials are more considerate and lenient in enforcing the law; the monarch is less detailed and more measured in making laws.
The growth of plants has changed, with different heights and slight differences within the same species. No two leaves in the world are exactly the same. The river is sometimes turbulent and sometimes calm, no longer flowing at a constant speed.
More flowers and plants grew in the city, and the whole city seemed to come alive, more vibrant, with a more human and natural feel.
Fang and Yuan grow through communication and tolerate each other. Yuan seeks height and breadth, while Fang seeks precision and detail. One focuses on the overall picture, while the other focuses on details. They seek common ground while reserving differences and benefit each other.
---
In the forest, Xuanming and Hai Fengming were discussing the Dao in their sleep. One's Dharma was like water, the other's Dharma was like a mountain. As time went by, their discussion became deeper and deeper. Xuanming became heavier, while Hai Fengming became more flexible.
The breathing of the two people became more and more in sync. The rhythm of Tao permeated the air, covering the Yin-Yang diagram formed by the Taoists and also including the spirit beasts. They were affected, and their breathing began to change. They were pulled into the city and became one of it. Some became common people, some became high-ranking officials, some became flowers and plants, and some became pots and bowls.
They were inspired by the debates between Fang and Yuan, and gained enlightenment from the different laws and morals. Their own understanding and knowledge of the world were also integrated into it, making this world more real.
Even the birds and animals that were attracted, the flowers, plants and rivers nearby seemed to be pulled in, and the spirituality of heaven and earth gradually increased.
A mountain range looks like a peak from a distance and a peak from the side. The distance and height are different. The different moods, perspectives, perseverance, understanding, and practice will lead to different gains and persistence time.
After one stick of incense, a Taoist withdrew from the surrounding world and fell asleep completely; after two sticks of incense, the snoring became louder; after three sticks of incense, the snoring sounds were intertwined, like the croaking of frogs. Even so, their sleeping posture did not change at all.
On the nearby river, many creatures such as fish, shrimps, turtles, crabs, etc. were floating in the air, all falling asleep. The birds on the trees closed their eyes, and under the trees, rabbits, musk deer, roe deer, weasels, foxes, pheasants, etc. were sleeping. The rabbits and weasels were standing back to back, and the pheasants and foxes were touching paws.
It seemed that even the grass and trees were asleep, the floating clouds and mountains were sleeping, the rivers and white clouds had stopped flowing, and the wind had disappeared without a trace.
Xuan Yang fell asleep soundly, Xuan Kong lay on his belly, Xuan Yin slept while standing, Xuan Su slept cross-legged, Xuan Yu slept with his eyes open, Xuan Tong slept with his eyes squinted, and Xuan Xu slept with his mouth open.
The fourth generation Taoist fell asleep, followed by the third generation.
This unique discussion of Taoism lasted for about two hours. When Xuanming started snoring, Hai Fengming opened his eyes. Square and circle intertwined in his eyes, and finally square swallowed up circle. The three-foot jade slip behind him was half open and half closed, half virtual and half real, as if a Taoist domain was taking shape, and it disappeared after a few breaths.
Looking around at the birds, beasts, insects, fish and Taoists sleeping on the ground, he smiled, did not disturb them, closed his eyes and rested, digesting what he had gained.
About half a cup of tea later, the white-haired Taoist woke up, and a Tai Chi pattern appeared behind him, with yin and yang complementing each other, movement and stillness blending together, from virtual to real. Then came the third generation of Taoists, followed by the fourth generation of Taoists, and then the birds and beasts.
When the last living being woke up, a strong wind blew in the forest, as if the entire Floating Cloud Mountain had also woken up. The grass and trees swayed, and the spiritual energy of heaven and earth surged. Many Taoists broke through on the spot, some Taoists made progress in their Taoism, and some living beings opened their spiritual wisdom and embarked on the path of Taoism. Even Floating Cloud Mountain had a little more spirituality, and the underground spiritual veins that had swallowed most of the corpses of dragons and snakes had a little more dragon energy.
Dozens of fourth-generation Taoists broke through the bottleneck. The best of the fourth-generation disciples such as Changchunzi and several older ones entered the fourth stage of essence training and condensed essence flowers.
Except Xuanxu and Xuansu, the remaining five third-generation Taoists all condensed their Dharma ideas and produced illusory Dharma images behind them. Xuanyang was a fire cauldron, Xuankong was a golden pot, Xuantong was a drop of water, Xuanyin was a sword, and Xuanyu was a thunder. They saw the threshold of Qi training.
The most eye-catching one is Xuan Su, she is going to be promoted to a real person!
There will be another update in half an hour!
