The Great Way to Truth, Starting from Jiazi Laodao

Chapter 269 Earth Immortal Techniques, Spiritual Treasures

Chapter 269 Earth Immortal Techniques, Spiritual Treasures
A scroll depicting heaven and earth, seven gods moving in unison.

Using mountains, rocks, vegetation, and flowing water as a base, they set up formations from their inherited memories, attempting to draw upon the primordial energy.

The first attempt failed.

The primordial energy surged back into the heavens and earth, causing chaos in the spiritual realm, mountains collapsed and the earth cracked, vegetation turned to ashes, and rivers dried up. If the amount of energy drawn out had not been relatively small, the seven gods would have perished.

After resting and recovering, the seven gods reunited. They shared their opinions, reviewed their gains and losses, learned from their experiences, improved the formation, and continued to draw upon the primordial energy.

This time, the quantity was even smaller, and the formation was even more mysterious, but it still failed, and another part of the land was destroyed.

The seven gods were busy repairing the damaged world. They continued to refine the formation and draw upon the primordial energy.

Failure after failure, repair after repair.

Each injury leads to further improvement.

Get up again and again, and make progress every time.

During this process, the gods discovered that by connecting their divine fire with the mountains and rivers, they could live longer.

It complements the mountains and rivers, sharing weal and woe.

The more lush the mountains, the wider the rivers, and the more superior the ecosystem, the stronger they are and the longer they exist.

Even if they are eroded by the Primordial Qi, as long as the mountains and rivers where the Dao Fruit resides do not wither, they will not perish and can make a comeback.

Later, they focused on restoring the mountains and rivers, using their own strength to develop them. If the mountains were not high or the water was not deep, they used their own strength to supplement them; if there were not many trees or grass, they used their own strength to plant them.

They grasped the essence of nature, and their understanding and comprehension of the earth's natural features deepened year by year.

Time flows on, and the world unfolds like a scroll.

The phoenix has vanished, the laws of space have been fully integrated, and the Time Butterfly is still struggling, but it can hold on for a while longer.

A towering mountain stands majestically.

A great river, magnificent and turbulent.

A lush and verdant mountain forest.

A vast expanse of sand stretches out in undulations.

This is the work of the seven gods.

The earth grants them longevity, and they reciprocate by giving back to the earth, but they have reached their limit. To go further, they need to make changes and break free from their constraints.

---

The seven gods thought of the Primordial Chaos Qi. They wanted to draw upon it again, but they were afraid that the Primordial Chaos Qi would destroy their hard work.

After racking their brains, they came up with a solution.

Over the years, as the Dao Fruit merged with a particular place, they discovered that they could occasionally come into contact with the laws of the earth.

They planned to draw the primordial energy into the laws of the earth, and with the power of those laws, create space within the earth's veins.

This space exists between the real and the virtual, relying on the earth's veins and giving back to them, forming a virtuous cycle.

The movement of space nourishes the earth's veins.

The earth's veins grow stronger, stabilizing the space.

However, the formations and secret techniques still need to be perfected.

Based on the creation of nature, they planned to combine their innate primordial energy with the turbid energy of the earth, making themselves yang and the earth yin, thus reversing yin and yang to temporarily deceive the primordial energy, making them believe that they were still in chaos. Then, with the help of an array, they would lock this energy and use the laws to open up space.

After refining the details, the seven gods worked together.

Busily setting up the formation and communicating with the laws, once everything was ready, they once again drew upon the primordial energy.

This time the quantity was even smaller, just a trace.

They were sent directly into the earth's veins, first confused by the reversal of yin and yang, then sealed by an array, and finally suppressed by the laws.

The seven gods continuously repaired the energy, slowly neutralizing the primordial energy with the earth's turbid energy and the laws, thus diminishing the violent energy within.

When the time is right, they each set their own paths.

On the day the space was born, the earth roared, mountains rose, spiritual energy surged, rivers rushed, and waterways widened. The soil and water where the Seven Divine Fruits were entrusted underwent a transformation and were elevated to a blessed land.

The mountains rise high into the clouds, and resources become abundant.

The long river flows ceaselessly, nurturing all aquatic life.

Desert vegetation sprouted, giving birth to an oasis of life. The seven gods were also reborn.

They are stronger and live longer.

Sensing the changes within themselves, the Seven Gods looked at the Primordial Qi with unprecedented brightness.

The butterfly of time has finally vanished.

The seven gods were stunned, then shattered in an instant. Each of them produced a leaf that nourished the scroll and the world around them. The primordial spirits of the seven True Men turned into specks of light, flew out of the scroll, out of the Eight Trigrams Furnace, and back to their respective entrances.

The power of the imperial decree disappeared, and the primordial spirit repeated the soul.

---

On the cloud bed, Xuanming raised his hand.

The primordial energy continuously flowed into the scroll.

The vast mountains and rivers rapidly rose and widened, vegetation flourished, and flowers, birds, insects, fish, houses, buildings, and people who existed between reality and illusion were born.

As Xuanming concludes, the scroll transforms from the abstract to the concrete, making the mountains, rivers, heaven and earth within it even more real. With a light touch, Yin and Yang transform into the Five Elements, the Five Elements evolve into the Eight Trigrams, the Eight Trigrams transform into all things, and heaven and earth become increasingly stable.

Once the scroll's extraordinary colors faded, Xuanming stopped and also withdrew his Primordial Dao Domain. They reappeared in the quiet room.

He glanced at Xuanxu and the others who were meditating with their eyes closed, and his eyes showed satisfaction. He then closed his eyes as well to digest what he had learned.

He benefited greatly from this treasure-refining experience.

He gained some insights into the way of creation and also learned the true meaning of the Earth Immortals through the Seven Mysterious Immortals.

Both earth immortals and earth deities rely on a particular landscape.

The difference is that the Earth God is granted authority by the mountains and rivers, and is equivalent to a manager. He can only repair, maintain, manage and use the land, while the mountains and rivers are the owners.

Earthly Immortals are allies of mountains and rivers, and the two are equal in status. In the early stages, mountains and rivers nurture Earthly Immortals, and in the later stages, Earthly Immortals nourish mountains and rivers. They are users, formulators, and creators of the laws of a region's mountains and rivers.

Blessed land is the fruit of enlightenment.

The beginning is always the hardest, but now that Xuanxu and his group have taken the first step, the road ahead will be much smoother.

After distinguishing the differences between the two, Xuanming quickly immersed himself in what he had gained, and his foundation gradually deepened.

---

Cold comes and heat goes, spring and winter alternate.

Nourished by the Daoist energy, Fuyun Mountain exudes an even more majestic aura of a celestial mountain. Auspicious clouds roll in, and the mountain is shrouded in rosy light. Ancient temples are nestled among the mountains, palaces stand in rows, and pavilions rise and fall in a staggered pattern, all blending harmoniously with the mountains and waters to create a picturesque scene.

Li Zizai, Chang'anzi, and Changning only served as protectors outside the Flying Fire Hall for two years before leaving after receiving a telepathic message from Xuanming.

Or perhaps they could descend the mountain and enter the world, living a carefree life among mortals.

Or they might stay in a library and peruse scriptures.

Or they might venture deep into the mountains to educate and enlighten the creatures.

Inside the quiet room, the three-year-long treasure-refining process finally began to show signs of activity, with a buzzing sound coming from the Eight Trigrams Furnace.

The seven immortals, including Xuanxu, were startled awake.

Their drowsy eyes were fixed on the Bagua Furnace, their fists clenched nervously, their hearts filled with trepidation and their faces full of anticipation.

Xuanming, who was the first to awaken, acted swiftly, waving his whisk and using the power of law to stabilize the Eight Trigrams Furnace, calming the restless energy and preventing it from exploding. Then he opened the Eight Trigrams Furnace, and a scroll flew out of the furnace, through the skylight, out of the quiet room, and straight into the sky.

Eight beams of light followed closely behind, descending into the air and transforming into the figures of Xuanming, Xuanxu, and others, gazing at the sky.

Boom~!
In an instant, dark clouds covered the sky, the sky darkened, lightning flashed and thunder roared, enveloping the vast expanse of land and sky.

People thought it was going to rain, so they either rushed home, packed their clothes, or bought rain gear.

Those who practiced Qi cultivation noticed something was wrong.

Tens of thousands of miles away, the cultivators at the Refinement God level in the four prefectures all looked towards Floating Cloud Mountain, as if something was undergoing tribulation.

They calculated with their fingers, and then their expressions became complicated.

Arhat Miaode clasped his hands together, chanted the Buddha's name, his gaze fixed on Mount Fuyun, and said, word by word:

"The spirit treasure will emerge!"
