The Great Way to Truth, Starting from Jiazi Laodao

Chapter 135: Secret Realm in the Moon, the Way of Time

Chapter 135: Secret Realm in the Moon, the Way of Time

Water Moon View.

Located on a large river.

This river is a branch of the Canglan River, named Xingyue River: the stars hang low over the vast plain, and the moon flows over the great river.

Such wonders can often be seen.

The gate of Shuiyue Temple is hidden in the water and moon.

As night falls, the stars and the moon shine brightly. The bright moonlight pours down on the mountains and rivers. The clear river surface reflects the white moon and the stars in the sky, and the waves sparkle like the Milky Way flowing into the mortal world.

Unlike the quiet scenes in the past, a certain section of Xingyue River is bustling with people tonight.

One after another, moon-boats and pleasure boats, which were several meters in length, turned from virtual to real, sailed out of the water and docked along the coast. On each moon-boat there was a Kun Taoist at the helm, waiting patiently, with cultivation levels ranging from training essence to training qi.

The real people who were invited showed their magical powers and descended to the riverside. Some rode on magical beasts, some stepped on auspicious lights, some carried bamboo sticks and straw sandals, some flew with swords, and some walked with lotus flowers, each with their own style.

Every guest boards the exclusive moon boat, sails on the river, and finally sails into the water moon in the misty water fog.

Half an hour later, there was only a lone boat left on the river bank, which was personally controlled by a Jindan Zhenren. She stood quietly on the boat, waiting patiently.

The cry of deer was heard, illuminating the dark night. Jindan Kun Dao followed the sound and saw a handsome young Taoist leading a deer. The deer was majestic, with white fur, long limbs, and a strong body. It was the size of an ox. When it landed, flowers and grass grew between its hooves and its white fur glowed.

The old Taoist Lu Shang has white hair and a youthful face, a neat beard, and kind eyes. He wears an ordinary gray Taoist robe that looks like a spotless celestial robe. There is a halo of ten feet behind his head that illuminates the darkness and spreads light. His temperament is easy-going and sacred.

"Xianyun greets fellow Daoist Xuanming."

"Fellow Daoist Xianyun is polite."

When the white deer reached the shore, Kun Taoist on the boat immediately bowed to it. Xuan Ming landed on the boat, bowed his head in return, and they called each other fellow Taoists.

Linglu Changshou, Changfengzi and Xuanming boarded the boat, and Zhenren Xianyun rowed the boat towards the center of the river. During the conversation on the way, Xuanming learned that Zhenren Xianyun was the junior sister and younger sister of Zhenjun Xianyue, and her status was not inferior to that of the current abbot of Shuiyue Temple. This shows how much importance Shuiyue Temple attaches to Xuanming.

The small boat entered the water, passed through many real and virtual formations, and appeared in another body of water and another space.

---

There are no stars in the sky here, only a bright moon in the sky, which visually seems several times larger than the moon outside, as if one can pick the full moon with one hand. The whole space is as bright as day, the ground is full of silver light, and there is a thin mist like gauze on the water, which makes it seem like a dream under the moonlight.

Xuanming looked around and admired it slowly. It was said that this piece of Shuiyuetian was built by the founder of Shuiyue Temple with great magic power. It was originally a ruined secret land, which was found by her. She used the Hutian technique and secret formation to improve it, thus forming the eternal foundation of Shuiyue Temple.

Dozens of moon boats were moving towards an island. On each moon boat hung a crescent-shaped glass lantern, which was small, exquisite and gorgeous. The lights echoed with the bright moon in the sky, like stars scattered in the water.

There was a sound of splashing water. Changfengzi and Linglu Changshou leaned over to take a closer look. Dozens of figures swam quickly in the water and then broke out of the water.

The man and the beast looked at each other carefully and saw that they had the upper body of a human and the lower body of a fish. The man was handsome and the woman was pretty. Their fish tails were both silver-white and their skin was fair. The woman had graceful curves and the man had smooth muscles. Their appearances were different in the details.

For example, their ears are slightly pointed and slightly elongated, and there are some fine scales on the edges of both sides of their cheeks, which makes them full of exotic charm, with a bit of primitive and wild beauty, and an ethereal temperament.

"There are mermaids in the South China Sea, and the waves are clear and deep. I have always heard that the Shuiyue Temple is inhabited by the mermaid tribe of the South China Sea. Today I saw it and it is indeed true."

Xuanming praised.

Upon hearing this, Xianyun explained, "When the moon shines brightly over the sea, pearls shed tears; when the sun shines warmly over the blue field, jade emits smoke. In the past, when the ancestor traveled to the South China Sea, he saw that the mermaids were being massacred because of their ability to turn tears into pearls. He felt compassion and rescued some of them. This tribe has been thriving in this Moon Lake for hundreds of years, and has long been connected to the destiny of our Shuiyue Temple, and is inseparable from it."

Xuanming nodded to indicate that he understood. After praising Master Shuiyue for a few words, he turned around and continued to admire the mermaid.

Dozens of mermaids led the way and sang ancient ballads. The sound of their voices lingered in the air, welcoming the guests. It was a joy to hear and no one felt sad.

The merman controlled the water, and the moon boat went faster, gradually approaching the island in the middle of the lake. A silver osmanthus tree stood towering, about five hundred feet high, with lush branches and leaves, and a silver-white body. There were yellow osmanthus flowers blooming on it, with a rich fragrance that made people feel relaxed and happy.

This is the spiritual root of the Shuiyue Temple, named Hanyue Shuanggui, which is as famous as the Fuguangtong of the Xuri Sect. After landing, many beautiful buildings stand under the Shuanggui, high and low, in a row. Compared with the Xuri Sect, it is less enthusiastic and magnificent, but more calm, elegant and exquisite. Under the leadership of Kundao, the real people walked through the corridors and alleys, saw many exotic flowers and plants, and beautiful courtyards, and finally entered a magnificent palace called Yuchan Palace.

The current Shuiyue Temple abbot, Xianyan Zhenren, had been waiting outside the hall and personally invited all the Taoists into the hall, especially Xuanming, who entered the hall last. She even accompanied him personally and placed him at the head seat in the hall, second only to the True Lord. His treatment was even higher than that of the abbot, Xianyan Zhenren.

---

Not long after Xuanming took his seat, the bright moon in the sky shone brightly, and a beautiful figure appeared. All the immortals came out of the hall to welcome the True Lord.

Zhenjun Xianyue was still wearing a plain white linen Taoist robe and a jade crown on his head. He wore no makeup but was naturally beautiful and had his own demeanor. He was bathed in moonlight, as if he was the moon god from the nine heavens who had descended to the earth, cold and holy.

He stretched out his white fingers and gently stroked. The bright moon shone brightly, and a large amount of moonlight covered thousands of miles. The grass and trees grew wildly, the fish and shrimps buried their heads, the birds and beasts were excited, the cultivators were happy, and the people felt relaxed. This was the blessing from Lord Xianyue to all living beings.

Xuanming, Linglu and Changfengzi were closer to the water and got the moon first. Xuanming's magic power increased by three points, and Linglu and Changfengzi benefited even more and their magic power increased greatly.

When Xian Yue Zhen Jun landed, all the Taoists greeted him and said, "Congratulations to you for successfully cultivating your spirit and becoming a Zhen Jun."

He nodded slightly, thanking all the Taoists for coming. Taoist Xianyue's eyes fell on Xuanming, and he bowed to him alone, saying, "I am very happy that Taoist Xuanming can come."

Xuanming immediately returned the greeting: "I am honored to be able to congratulate you, the True Lord."

Without any further pleasantries outside the hall, Zhenjun Xianyue personally invited Xuanming to enter the hall with him. The latter smiled slightly and also extended his hand to invite him. Zhenjun Xianyue did not hesitate and took the first step, with Xuanming following closely behind, always staying half an arm's length away from Zhenjun Xianyue.

He was clear-headed and aware of the gap between himself and Zhenjun. If someone respects me one foot, I will respect them ten feet. Only then can things be done long-term. If he really took Zhenjun Xianyue's courtesy seriously and stood shoulder to shoulder with her as a matter of course, and dared to open a dyeing room with three kilograms of dye, it would be extremely foolish.

Zhenjun Xianyue was satisfied with Zhenren Xuanming's knowledge of the limits, and had an even better impression of this fellow who was rising in fame.

After they were seated, the Zhenjun Banquet began.

Thanks to Xuanming's face, Changfengzi also got a seat and became the leader among all the young disciples.

Osmanthus wine, cold carp soup, jade cake... the feast was no less sumptuous than that of the Rising Sun Sect. Xuanming savoured the food with great pleasure and experienced the wonder of the spiritual food.

After having enough food and drink, Zhenjun began to preach.

The Tao of Lord Xianyue is diametrically opposed to that of Lord Chaoguang, and they complement and counteract each other. His Tao of the Bright Moon has benefited Xuanming a lot, and it is consistent with Lord Chaoguang's Tao of the Sun. The sun and the moon are opposite, and yin and yang are independent of each other. Not only does he see the principle of the two poles of heaven and earth more clearly, his foundation is greatly increased, and a Taoist mountain rises in Taiji Heaven. The sun and the moon shine together, rising in the east and setting in the west, and day and night alternate. A mysterious truth is born in Taiji Heaven.

The fleeting insights that he had not grasped when he was comprehending the Ming character in the past came to his mind, and a familiar feeling came over him. This time Xuanming had accumulated enough, grasped it in time, and comprehended it with his heart. When he understood and comprehended this truth, he was overjoyed, and his whole body exuded an aura of joy.

I didn’t expect that after listening to the sermon this time, I could actually touch a glimpse of the way of time. Even though it was just the basics, it had a different meaning and level.

Time is respected and space is king.

The threshold of time is higher than that of space.

I'm afraid that many great spiritual practitioners find it difficult to enter the Gate of Time. Now that he has touched upon this path, how can he not be excited?

The principle of time derived from the sun and the moon also allowed him to see the connection between time and yin and yang, and he had a deeper understanding of Tai Chi Hunyuan, and even realized some principles of Wuji Hunyuan. Xuanming was closer to practicing gods, and as long as he had enough magic power, it was almost certain that he would achieve the goal of practicing gods.

Feeling the changes in Xuanming, Zhenjun Xianyue looked up. No wonder Senior Brother Chaoguang reminded her to try to make friends with this Zhenjun. He was probably the third Zhenjun of the Taoist sect in Fengyang County. It was just that achieving spiritual cultivation was not something that could be achieved by just reaching the level of Taoism. She hoped that this Zhenjun would be lucky and gather enough luck, otherwise, a slight difference would make a world of difference.

After a day and a night, the sermon ended.

The matter here is settled, Xuanming bids farewell.

He had just left Xingyue River on his deer and had traveled less than three miles when he suddenly became furious.

"You dare!"
