The Great Way to Truth, Starting from Jiazi Laodao

Chapter 128: The True Lord’s Banquet, the Sound of Tao in the Heart

Chapter 128: The True Lord’s Banquet, the Sound of Tao in the Heart

The Rising Sun Sect is the top Taoist sect in Fengyang County for a thousand years, and once gave birth to a great spiritual master.

Xuanming didn't know this before, until he asked Jiaolong, he learned that the founder of the Rising Sun Sect was the direct disciple of Lianshen Da Daojun who sacrificed himself and seriously injured Canglong.

This great Lord was named Chaomu, and he had a direct disciple, who was the founder of Shuiyue Temple. In the past, Xu Ri and Shui Yue had not yet been promoted to the level of practicing gods. They were only on the threshold of practicing gods, and could not help in the dragon-slaying battle, and could only lend a hand. Even so, they were affected, and their foundation was damaged, so that although they were later promoted to the level of practicing gods, they only lived for more than 900 years before dying of old age.

By the time Xuanming collected his thoughts, he had already ridden a deer to Fuguang Mountain, the most prestigious sacred mountain in Fengyang County, three thousand feet high, towering, majestic and magnificent. A waterfall rushed down from the top of the mountain, like the Milky Way roaring over. A rainbow bridge hung high above it, falling to both ends of the waterfall, one end connected to the mortal world on the mountain, the other end connected to the Taoist palace on the mountain.

At the foot of the mountain, the True Man of the Rising Sun Sect and his disciples were already waiting. The invited True Men came in an endless stream, in various postures, some riding cranes, some flying in the clouds, some controlling the light of escape, and some offering magical instruments.

Xuanming was already one of the rare Taoist masters in Fengyang County. He arrived late and was warmly received by the Xuri Sect. Jindan Zhenren personally came down the mountain to greet him and took Xuanming to the Rainbow Bridge into the mountain.

After handing the gift to the immortal who was in charge of receiving gifts, Xuanming walked along the bridge and viewed the scenery of Fuguang Mountain.

It was early in the morning and the warm sun was visible on the horizon. In the near distance, the rosy clouds were shining on the water. The vast sea of clouds was dyed in gold and red, gorgeous and magnificent, like a large round mirror of red and gold, dyeing the clouds and illuminating the universe.

As the distance got farther and farther, the mountain became higher and higher, and gradually a large palace complex came into view. A towering tree came into view. The tree was about eight hundred feet tall, emerald green all over, with luxuriant branches and leaves, and a crown like a canopy. It was a strange-looking bronze tree.

The spiritual energy is dense, absorbing the rays of the setting sun, collecting the purple energy of the morning sun, and supplying the veins of Fuguang Mountain, making the spiritual energy of this mountain full of warm feeling, as warm as the spring sun shining on the body.

Nine golden spiritual birds shuttled in and out of the treetops, collecting purple air from the morning glow and spiritual fruits from the mountains to brew spiritual wine.

"The morning glow flows over the green tung tree, the rising sun shines brightly, is this the Fuguangtong tree?"

Xuanming asked symbolically.

The accompanying Jindan Zhenren nodded and said proudly: "Yes, it is the most precious treasure of my sect."

Xuanming nodded and admired the scenery as he walked.

The Xuri Sect has been passed down for thousands of years and is ranked among the top Taoist sects. It is not surprising that it has such a solid foundation.

He took a closer look because the name of this mysterious spiritual root was widely known in the outside world. It was one of the foundations of the Xu Ri Sect's inheritance and also one of the wonders. It was even more outstanding than the Endless Wood in the Qiu Zhen Temple. Now that he had come across it, he had to appreciate it carefully.

The nine golden birds, named Golden-Winged Spirit Birds, bathed in the morning glow and swallowed the purple air while in the eggshells. They were spiritual birds that the Rising Sun Sect had painstakingly cultivated. They could transform themselves into the sun and had great combat power. The Flowing Light Wine they brewed was even quite famous in the Great Xuan Divine Dynasty.

Chaohui Hall is the main hall of the Xu Ri Sect. With its red walls and golden tiles, it shines brightly, as dazzling as the sun.

Xuanming was invited into the hall. When the immortals who had arrived earlier saw Xuanming, no matter what they thought in their hearts, whether they were sincere or pretending, they all came forward to greet him. Xuanming did not put on airs and returned the greetings in a friendly manner. The whole hall was filled with joy.

"Daoyou Xuanming's presence has brought honor to the Rising Sun Sect. I am sorry for not welcoming you in person. Please forgive me."

A wealthy Taoist priest in a bright red robe walked over with a warm smile, like the big-bellied Buddha worshipped in Buddhist temples. His cultivation was at the Saint Embryo Realm, and he was none other than the head priest of the Rising Sun Sect.

After bowing his head in return, Xuanming said politely, "You are too kind, my friend. The Rising Sun Sect has beautiful scenery. It is my honor to be invited here."

Zhenren Chaotun is very good at dancing with long sleeves. Just a few words can make Xuanming feel like spring breeze, without making other Zhenren feel neglected. This ability is not comparable to ordinary people, at least Xuanxu and Xuantong cannot compare with him for the time being.

After all, Qiuzhen Temple has just been promoted to a major sect three years ago, and its foundation is still shallow. Fortunately, the two junior brothers are very motivated, there are new changes every year, and they are improving themselves step by step.

———After Xuanming, there was another Qigong master, Xianyue Master of Shuiyue Temple. He was a great master who had reached the threshold of spiritual practice. He wore a linen white moon robe and a jade crown on his head. He had a beautiful appearance and an unparalleled elegance.

She is as famous as the newly promoted Lianshen Zhenjun of the Xuri Sect. Since they are from the same lineage, the two families have always helped each other and have always had a good relationship. It is only right and proper for Zhenren Xianyue to come and congratulate them.

After her arrival, all the guests gathered, and Master Chao Tun led everyone out of the hall, and the main show began.

A red sun rose from the highest peak of Fuguang Mountain, with brilliant red light. At this moment, it seemed as if there were two suns in the sky. The three thousand feet high sacred mountain was shining brightly, the energy was steaming, and the yang energy was flourishing.

Within thousands of miles of Fuguang Mountain, all evil demons and heretics have nowhere to hide. Wherever the sun shines, everything melts like snow. Even the big monsters are no exception. They let out miserable screams, but cannot escape for long before they die.

Bathed in the sunshine and energy of the rosy clouds, the people suddenly felt light and healthy, some minor ailments disappeared, serious and chronic diseases were alleviated, and patients with colds benefited even more. Within a thousand miles, all flowers bloomed.

This is a blessing from the True Lord.

On the Fuguang Mountain, the red sun shrank and turned into a slightly plump Taoist priest wearing an embroidered red sun Taoist robe, with a gourd around his waist and a kind face. He was none other than Chao Tun Zhenren’s senior brother from the Xuri Sect and the newly promoted Zhenjun: Chaoguang.

"Congratulations to Master Zhenjun (Senior Brother) for advancing to the spiritual realm, and may you live a long and blessed life."

Xuanming bowed his head and congratulated the other Taoists. He nodded and smiled at Master Chaoguang, and bowed his head in return: "Thank you all for taking the trouble to come and participate in Master Chaoguang's banquet. I will always remember this and am very grateful."

After a few simple and polite words, True Lord Chaoguang led all the Taoists back to Chaohui Hall. There is no order of priority in the Tao, and the one who is more accomplished is the teacher. Although Xuanming has been practicing for a short time, he has gone farther on the path of seeking, so his seat is in the front, above many old seniors who have practiced for a long time.

His seat is higher than that of Zixia Sect's Dongfeng Zhenren, and is ranked fourth only to the host Xuri Sect's leader Chaotun Zhenren.

The other real people had no objection to this. Some were consistent in what they said and really thought so, while some, even if they were not happy about it in their hearts, never showed it on the surface.

Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, Xuanming sat down calmly without any discomfort. With an order from True Lord Chaoguang, the True Lord's banquet began. Disciples of the Xuri Sect came out one after another, and plates of delicacies were brought to the table. There were Xuan-level spiritual fruits such as Fuguangtong fruit, dragon and phoenix soup made of dragon meat and phoenix soup, and century-old Liuguang wine, all of which were rare spiritual foods.

Xuanming took the chopsticks and the spoon and took a sip of the dragon and phoenix soup, which had the same yin and yang flavors, with the right amount of sour and spicy, mellow and delicious, leaving a lingering fragrance on his lips and teeth; he then took a sip of the flowing spirit wine, and felt even more comfortable all over, a warm feeling in his heart, and his magic power became three points purer; he took a bite of the Fuguangtong fruit, which was crisp and refreshing, with the right amount of sour and sweet.

These spiritual foods are precious. The closer they are to the front and the greater the quantity, the better the effect. Unfortunately, they have little effect on Xuanming. There were three Fuguangtong fruits on his desk. He ate one and kept the remaining two, preparing to take them back for Xuanxu and Xuansu to taste. The Liuguang wine was five hundred years old, but he had no left.

The Taoists clinked glasses and toasted each other, enjoying the food to their heart's content. The Chaohui Hall was lively and joyful. Some Taoists chatted with friends, while others were busy making new friends.

Xuanming toasted a glass of wine to Chaoguang Zhenjun, Xianyue Da Zhenren and Chaotun Zhenren, and toasted a glass of wine to Dongfeng Zhenren, his old acquaintance at the opposite table, and then began to accept toasts from other Taoists.

After three rounds of wine and five dishes, True Lord Chao Guang ordered people to clean up the messy cups and plates. Seeing this, all the Taoists were refreshed, knowing that the climax was about to begin, and they immediately used their magic power to dispel the drunkenness.

After everything was packed up, they sat down on the cushions one by one. The disciples of the Rising Sun Sect also entered the hall, but sat in the outer hall. Many spiritual beasts and birds gathered outside the hall.

When all the Taoists gathered, True Lord Chao Guang sat cross-legged on the cloud bed. Without opening his mouth or moving his lips, the sound of Tao could be heard. It was mysterious and wonderful, like the sound of nature, which can only be understood but not described. It came from the heart and entered the hearts of all the Taoists. Flowers bloomed on their hearts, big trees were planted, roads were built, houses were constructed, and heavy rains began to fall. Different Taoists have different Tao images in their hearts.

The heaven and earth were moved, and strange phenomena occurred frequently in the Chaohui Hall. Inspirations flocked in, evolving into a huge sun, and then evolving into rare birds and beasts such as dragons and phoenixes. The sky was filled with colorful rays of light and auspicious colors gathered.

A diagram of Tai Chi appeared in Xuan Ming Dao's mind, with black and white yin and yang fish swimming around in a circle, flowing endlessly, madly absorbing the sound of Tao, absorbing the rhyme of Tao, analyzing the principles, and at the same time mobilizing the Huangting Qi to enhance his understanding.

Because of this, his comprehension of the Tao far surpassed that of other Taos, even the great Zhenren Xianyue was slightly inferior to him. Especially after he showed that he had seen the threshold of practicing the Tao, Zhenjun Chaoguang, who was sitting high on the cloud bed, could not help but open his eyes and stared at Xuanming deeply, with surprise and respect in his heart. Afterwards, the sound of Tao in Xuanming's heart became louder and clearer, and the principles became more profound and clearer.
