Chapter 535 Saints Ascend the Temple, Heroes Become Gods

This place is always filled with the ceaseless wind, the flowing wind, the still wind, the invisible wind, or the wind with form.

Even the magical whispers of the universe are particularly noticeable in this realm, which is always filled with the endless howling and murmuring of the wind.

Because this is the elemental plane belonging to wind.

Here, you can not only see different winds from around the world, but also elemental beings and spirits born from the pure element of wind.

However, these elemental life forms and elemental spirits were not conceived according to the mainstream aesthetics of humanoid civilizations in the universe, so their appearances are quite peculiar.

It's not unusual to look strange in this world; what's unusual is looking like a humanoid race.

However, even in this world of wind elemental life and spirits, traces of dragons still exist.

It was a snow-capped peak surrounded by a barrier formed by still magical winds, thousands of miles high, standing majestically in this region.

Even if the source of wind element in this world could give birth to the most powerful wind element dukes and elemental lords, they would not easily offend the majesty of the master of this region.

As for the wind elemental beings and elemental spirits of average strength, they often come to this place for small adventures.

This icy peak is the lair of powerful gem dragons who have lived here for generations, having been transported from the mortal realm using magic. It is also the lair of a group of crystal dragons.

However, today, the once quiet snow-covered peaks suddenly became lively. Many crystal dragons with shimmering white scales appeared and disappeared on the snow-covered mountains. They were of different sizes and ages, and the occasional roars of the dragons coming from the snow-covered peaks indicated the abnormality of this place.

But the crystal dragon Galina, who lived in the icy peaks, was unaware of this. So when the young female dragon was awakened by the roars outside her nest, she groggily opened her eyes and couldn't help but mutter to herself.

"What's gotten into these guys now? Did they get into another war with those savage white dragons while collecting the dragon eggs laid by the white dragons in the material world?"

"Hey, I hope these guys aren't injured, otherwise some radicals will start advocating for a retaliatory attack again,"

Galina shook her head in a daze. As one of the top two most beautiful dragon species among the gem dragons, Galina's appearance was also considered extremely outstanding among crystal dragons.

Even though she had just woken up from a long-term nap, Galina's body naturally radiated a dazzling energy glow, which looked somewhat similar to the vibrant life force of the green dragon, but appeared even more sacred.

This is a manifestation of the Crystal Dragon race's innate connection with the psionic energy of positive energy planes, and also a glorious display of the planes.

Such luster made the thorns growing from Galina's back stand up like clusters of jewels, and with every move, the Crystal Dragon gained the favor of other races in the world amidst the shimmering light.

As the friendliest gem dragon species, crystal dragons are always full of curiosity about everything in this world and even the universe. Therefore, crystal dragons are usually able to communicate and interact with visitors and adventurers in a warm manner.

However, Galina's personality differed from that of her fellow crystal dragons.

This female dragon was never particularly interested in what was happening in the world. To Galina, most dragons were the same.

Because dragons are born with factors and qualities that surpass those of mortal life, they do not need to care about their food, clothing, shelter, or transportation. They can even make a long-term home by digging out a cave anywhere.

Many dragons thus lived a life of eating and sleeping, and when they got bored, they would transform into humanoid races and travel and adventure in the mortal world, leaving behind various legends.

But the dragons that left their legends in the world returned to their lair and remained unchanged, without bringing about much change.

Some dragons will live to the end of their lifespan, or even die of old age in their sleep.

Many evil dragons also roam the world, burning, killing, and looting, establishing monster lairs and kingdoms.

Many dragons also indulge in eating, drinking, and merrymaking, reveling in pleasures and playing in the mortal realm. But to the crystal dragon Galina, these things offer no challenge and therefore hold little interest.

The statement that dragons, because they are inherently powerful, do not possess true civilization holds a great deal of truth in Galina's view.

Galina had heard from her parents that many dragons didn't even leave any wisdom or knowledge in their bloodline, only pure combat skills and some common sense.

It's because many of the previous generations of dragons felt that their descendants didn't need anything else, or perhaps some dragons even wanted to be lazy about such things.

Much of the ancient dragon script and the knowledge and magic possessed by dragons were lost for this reason as well.

However, no matter how much Galina didn't want to pay attention to the outside world, she had to step out of her cave and take a look.

After all, the management responsibilities entrusted to her by her parents, the Crystal Dragon leader residing in this world, fell on Galina's shoulders.

If Galina causes any major loss to the tribe because of her laziness, no matter how much her parents love her, she may be expelled from the tribe by her parents who have returned from traveling to other planes.

Galina sighed and slowly walked through the passage filled with crystals of pure wind element, stepping out of her lair.

The nest platform, situated atop the snow-capped peak, allows Galina to overlook nearly a third of the mountain's surface.

Scattered from top to bottom on this snow-covered mountain are many ice palaces that defy the comprehension of mortals, grand and elegant, which are the nests and dwellings of many crystal dragons and white dragons.

However, as the bloodline of the tribal chief, Galina lived in a simple cave, which shows the female dragon's laziness and indifference to certain things.

Besides these grand and elegant ice palaces, many towering stargazing platforms are also located on the snow-capped peaks. Many crystal dragons use these platforms to observe the celestial phenomena in the sky while practicing their psionic radiance, in order to grasp many truths and mysteries of the universe.

The wisest among the Crystal Dragons, also known as the Fate Astrologer, is the title and honor bestowed upon Galina's mother.

But now, the once deserted Ice Palace and Stargazing Platform are filled with giant dragons coiled and gathered.

These crystal dragons gathered around one of the enormous ice palaces, conversing with each other. They looked like clumps of transparent and translucent crystal creatures shimmering in the sun, causing Galina's vertical pupils to narrow slightly.

"Hey, what are you doing again, Gerald? Especially you, yelling so loudly, you woke me up!"

Galina flapped her wings aggressively and flew downwards, landing on the ridge of an ice palace. She bared her fangs and looked at the strongest male crystal dragon, then glanced at the several white dragons gathered around it.

"Did you two have another conflict with the white dragons in the material world? I've told you before, don't keep forcibly entering the white dragons' caves to steal their dragon eggs." "Do you really think those white dragons are just ignorant wild beasts?"

"Hey, how should I put it? Actually, many white dragons don't know how many of their dragon eggs are missing, or maybe they just don't care. You're finally awake, Galina!"

The powerful crystal dragon Gerard scratched the sharp horns at the front of his head, which resembled a cluster of crystals, with his claws, unconcerned about Galina's aggressive approach.

After all, although this female dragon possesses power, she never abuses it; she simply dislikes others disturbing the psionic dreamscapes she creates in her sleep.

Several white dragons and other crystal dragons also greeted the female dragon who was about to come of age. Galina's attitude towards these white dragons was much better than that towards the crystal dragons, and she actually responded to their calls one by one.

Because the Crystal Dragon race naturally prefers to live in harsh, cold lands, and they also like to take away the eggs of White Dragons, raising those wicked White Dragons into benevolent dragons.

These white dragons were giant dragons raised by the Crystal Dragon tribe.

“It’s been almost ten years since we’ve ventured out of the elemental realm to search for the white dragon’s egg in the nearby material world, Galina,”

Another female crystal dragon jumped down from the stargazing platform and landed next to Galina, saying, "We've gathered here not because we're angry at those white dragons and want to beat them up, but because of another big matter."

"Hmm, perhaps you'd be interested too, Galina."

Galina turned her head and looked at the female dragon, Potty, who was speaking. Potty was Galina's childhood playmate and companion, and the two dragons had a very good relationship.

Of course, it was the female dragon Porty's enthusiasm that maintained this friendship. After all, even a dragon like a giant would find it difficult to maintain a close relationship without one-sided enthusiasm from a reclusive dragon who spends all day building dreams in its nest.

"What secrets have you overheard those wind elementals talking about again, Portia?"

Galina blinked her vertical pupils, squatted on the roof of the ice palace, and her tail, which looked like it was cast from crystal, naturally wrapped around her lower body.

"Roar! This isn't just some rumor about wind elemental spirits. This is a major event that will shake the entire material and elemental worlds. Only a dragon like you, who dreams all day long, would be unaware of it, heh heh!"

Another young male crystal dragon also descended from the platform, looking at his elder sister with disdain.

“Can you get out of here, Ricky?” Galina curled her lip in disdain, her fine, crystal-like scales wrinkling slightly.

"Tell me, what kind of momentous event could shake the entire material and elemental realms in the vicinity?" The female dragon raised her head high, looking down at her twin brother with her nostrils.

Ricky, the crystal dragon, shook his head and chuckled, "Decades ago, a red dragon rose up on the northern continent of the nearby material world, a world called Ekania. Do you remember it?"

"That red dragon?"

Galina furrowed the fine scales on her forehead slightly, as if searching through her memories, and then slowly said, "That guy, Caron Gogmora?"

"Our tribe is finding fewer and fewer white dragon eggs in the Frosty Lands of the North, and it seems to be because of this guy, right? What exactly has this ambitious man done this time?"

"careerist?"

Ricky looked at his sister with disdain and said with a resentful tone, "His Majesty Gogmora is the true king born from the world of Ekania. He is the sun in the world. He is so merciful that even the white dragon wanted to nurture and educate him. He is so majestic that even demigods have to bow down and accept punishment!"

Galina turned her head to look at the other members of her race and the white dragon, and asked with a questioning look, "Has Ricky been bewitched by the five-colored dragons in the world of Ekania?"

The other crystal dragons and white dragons shook their heads almost simultaneously, saying in unison, "This is not bewitching, it is the charm of a born king."

“Karina, it’s not just about dragons,”

Portia, the female dragon, approached and gazed into Galina's eyes, slowly saying, "Ever since the Dragon Emperor of Arcaneia returned to his empire, all the elemental realms surrounding the world of Arcaneia have been proclaiming the power and name of the Dragon Emperor."

“Those wind elemental beings and elves are all saying that whether it is earth, water, wind, fire, or metal, all must pay homage to the Dragon Emperor of the material world, because it is the invitation of the true king, and cannot be disobeyed!”

……

"King Kane Modra of the Farn Empire, who has received the Mandate of Heaven, pays homage to His Majesty the Great, Powerful, and Invincible Emperor of the Golden Empire,"

"My capable assistant and most relied-upon elder, the former regent of the Farn Empire, now Prince Josiah of the Farn Empire, carrying my will and the wishes of all the subjects of the Farn Empire, will soon travel to the center of imperial civilization in the Northern Continent for a grand ceremony,"

"I believe that with His Majesty's tolerance and benevolence, greatness and power, he will be able to protect and receive the visiting delegation that has traveled a long way to reach your country."

"The Dragon Code, which your country has enacted, was unanimously passed in the First Council of the Farn Empire. On the day of the ceremony, the Farn Empire will simultaneously draft and promulgate it on the same day as your country, making it one of the supplementary sources of the Farn Empire's laws."

"I only hope that Your Majesty will allow the Farn Empire to be included in the list of partners in the Dragon Codex, just like the other kings of the Northern Lands."

"Furthermore, I boldly request His Majesty the Dragon Emperor to grant the Farn Empire the same customs and trade regulations as the other kingdoms of the Northern Continent, and for the Dragon Deed Tax to become a nationally amended trade law within the Farn Empire..."

King Kane Modra of the Farn Empire carefully checked his private letter again, finding that his language was not offensive or taboo. He then breathed out a breath, carefully dried the letter, put it in an envelope, and stamped it with his personal seal.

"Hand it over to the Golden Empire envoy who is waiting on the platform. Tell him that the Faen Empire has accepted the invitation and will attend the ceremony as scheduled. Be friendly."

Kane, now middle-aged, summoned his servant, handed the letter to him, and then slowly rose and walked quickly to the window near the fortress platform. Through the one-way window, he observed the Golden Empire envoy waiting for his reply.

It was a kobold, a lowly creature despised by humanoid civilizations, yet now it was able to step into the private castle of the King of the Farn Empire.

Kane Modra watched as his servant handed his faith to the tall kobold, who was surprisingly well-versed in etiquette and even gave his servant a small gift.

Then the kobold suddenly lowered its body and transformed into a medium-sized white dragon, spreading its wings and soaring into the sky with a roar.

"Are the kobolds of the Golden Empire's Dragon Vein this powerful?"

Kane Modra stood quietly by the bed, his somewhat withered hands tapping gently, his gaze deep, as if he could see the increasingly powerful empire far away in the northern continent of Ekania.

And that dragon emperor who sits high on his throne, wearing a crown presented by five-colored dragons, a magnificent robe woven from metal dragons, and holding a scepter forged from the molten metal of countless dragons, looking down upon all living beings—Karon Gogmora!
