Under the Red Dragon.

Chapter 528 The Dragon Shaping the World

Chapter 528 The Dragon Shaping the World
The sun had just risen from the edge of the world, and the morning mist had not yet dissipated.

The faint roars of enormous dragons could be heard from the sky above the wilderness.

"Roar!"

The soldiers stationed on the city walls surrounding Woking suddenly perked up and looked into the distance.

Beneath the clouds in the distant sky, the silhouette of a colossal dragon shrouded in a dark red aura could be faintly seen, flying in from the distant jungles and mountains of the wilderness.

Beneath this enormous dragon, shrouded in a dark red aura, lay the corpse of another colossal creature.

The enormous corpse's wings drooped limply, and its long neck and tail also hung down weakly, making it look just like a giant dragon flying under the clouds.

These soldiers all knew that it must be the corpse of another dragon.

Argogon, a red dragon in his prime, is known by the people of this world as the most evil and brutal lone lord among the five dragons. His infamous reputation as the "Crimson Calamity" is known in every country, every humanoid race, and every dragon in the world.

This mature red dragon possesses brutal power to fuel its tyrannical dominance. Its greatest pleasure is hunting down its own kind of dragons, ravaging and slaughtering those who have the potential to challenge its reputation, and eliminating young dragons who have the potential to surpass its own power.

Argogun, a mature male red dragon, also enjoyed torturing and killing young dragons, then carrying their corpses in his claws as he soared through the skies, sweeping across the land, to demonstrate his majesty and power to all civilizations and dragons in the world.

Furthermore, this mature red-scaled dragon liked to hang the corpses of these young dragons around its lair after its parade and demonstration, as a warning to civilized nations and dragons not to attempt to challenge it or resist its power.

Nevertheless, the dragons living in and around the territory of this mature red dragon dared not easily escape, because Argogon would not allow these toys and slaves to break free of his control, lest younger dragons rise up in the future to take revenge on this 'bloody scourge'.

Woking City was originally a small town on the edge of a civilized nation, but it became famous for its rich gold and silver mines, and thus gradually became a prosperous town.

This town is tens of thousands of miles away from Argogun's lair, known as the "Bloody Calamity," and thousands of miles away from the edge of Argogun's territory. There was no need to worry too much about the powerful dragon's attacks.

However, due to this red-scaled evil dragon's perverse tastes, it would often travel great distances to fly over human towns with the corpses of the dragons it had tortured and killed, and then smash the dead dragon corpses into the human towns.

Argogon would then use this as leverage to demand that the humans compensate for the loss of the young red dragon, or else Argogon would pin the blame for killing his own kind of dragon on the humans.

Argogun, a male dragon in its prime, embodies the brutality of the red dragon, the leader of the five chromatic dragons, and the shamelessness of all dragons.

But no one could easily subdue this vigorous red dragon.

Not every civilized nation can produce a legendary, powerful being, nor can every legendary, powerful being easily deal with a ferocious red dragon in its prime, about to enter old age.

After all, as long as the mature red dragon doesn't confront the enemy head-on and instead utilizes its mobility, even ordinary legendary beings wouldn't have a good way to deal with it.

As for legendary warriors and knights, without special means or the blessing of a high-level mage, they can only watch this robust red dragon swaggering in the sky.

After all, ordinary legendary warriors and fighters would have no chance of defeating a red dragon that is about to enter its old age in the sky.

"What a brutal, self-important fool! Argogun won't be around for long,"

The mage Dor stood atop the city wall, his hands resting on the crenellations. Beside him were elven archers and powerful warriors recruited by the city of Vol'jin with a large sum of money.

Meanwhile, the massive dragon-hunting crossbows and magically alchemical armor-piercing crossbows atop the city walls had already tightened their drawstrings, and a full twelve enormous crossbows began to adjust their positions, aiming at the robust red dragon approaching from the distant sky.

"Does it think its actions will make its fame spread far and wide?"

The bald warrior holding the heavy magic shield beside him scratched his head and whispered, "Isn't that right? Not only is Argogon's name famous throughout the various kingdoms of humanity, but even the dragons who are constantly enslaved by him..."

"Many people have also developed a worship of this dragon because of this, regarding Argogon as the benchmark and model of the five dragons. Argogon is even called the purest dragon by the silver and gold dragons who live in seclusion in the mountains and cloud-shrouded peaks."

The mage Dor looked up at the sky, his tone filled with utter contempt, "Argogun is nothing but a complete and utter fool."

"Cruel and abusive treatment of one's own race may instill fear in everyone, but it also earns contempt in everyone's heart."

"A complete and utter evil dragon, a pure evil dragon, nothing but a lowly creature!"

The monk's disdain and contempt were already evident in his words.

The elven archer Adori, who was standing nearby, nodded in agreement. Many of the elven races were naturally close to nature and especially hated the evil influence of the five-colored dragon.

"I don't know what kind of creatures worship those pure dragon-like traits, but I agree with what Dol said about the lowlifes."

The mage Dor smiled, turned to look at his companion, and said, "More than ten years ago, the great mage Cyril took the initiative to step out of the world and go to the stars to pursue more profound knowledge, but he happened to encounter a momentous event that shook the stars."

"In a distant world called Ekania, a supreme ruler of a dragon race is rising,"

The warriors and elves around him pricked up their ears to listen, and even the soldiers who seemed to be on high alert secretly held their breath, wanting to hear what the mage Dor had to say.

Because the great mage Cyril is the only 'legendary mage' in this world to have successfully ascended to the legendary status within the last hundred years, his story is widely circulated in the civilized world.

And the mage Dor was a high-ranking mage in the 'Mage Society' from which the great legendary mage Cyril came from, so it was not a difficult thing for Dor to obtain information about the legendary mage Cyril.

"In that world, an unprecedented red dragon appeared. Although he was the most ferocious of the five dragons, he defied the poisonous nature and chaotic evil practices of the five dragons,"

"And with this, he commands a powerful dragonflight, named after this red dragon, known as the Golgmora Dragonflight,"

With a hint of admiration in his eyes, the mage Dor said slowly, "People always wonder why dragons, a race with innate intelligence and physical prowess, always live like wild beasts."

"Many civilizations and races in the mortal realm reject, hunt, capture, and target the Five-Colored Evil Dragon and many other dragons,"

"This is not just because of us; the fundamental reason is the choice made by those five-colored evil dragons and the vast majority of dragons themselves. They must also bear the corresponding consequences for their choices." The mage Dor's words drew chorus of agreement from the soldiers around him, which made the mage's voice become more impassioned.

"But the supreme ruler of the dragon race that rose from the world of Ekania chose a different path. He used reason and order to restrain the chaotic and poisonous influence among the five-colored dragons, and then extended this to the entire dragon horde,"

"The Gorgmora dragonflight that embraced reason, wisdom, and order, together with this supreme ruler among the dragons, created an extremely prosperous and powerful civilization."

"That supreme king will lead all the dragons of the world towards another order, freeing them from their beastly state and transforming them into a true dragon civilization,"

The mage Dor sighed deeply, "This is the true dragon, the one that should roar across the sky and strike the earth."

"Some dragons pride themselves on being purely evil, and revere their beastly behavior and vile habits; but some true dragons despise and reject such thoughts and actions."

"That dragon king, through his power and majesty, codified with the dragons of the entire Goggmora dragonflight and the entire empire that flourished because of his ideas, establishing a code to restrain and protect all dragons in the world—the 'Dragon Code.'"

"The Dragon Codex not only stipulates that no dragon may kill each other without cause, and no living being may kill a dragon without cause, but it also stipulates that dragons may not kill other races of living beings without cause!"

The mage Dor raised his head slightly, glanced at the male, robust red dragon Argogon in the sky, and spoke in a fierce tone.

"Compared to that supreme king among dragons, what are those so-called pure evil dragons but lowly scum?"

"So, that king among the dragons was indeed a remarkable ruler,"

The elven archer nodded in agreement, a look of longing on his face as he said, "For the first time in my life, I have such an urgent desire to see such a great being."

The bald warrior gasped, "Hiss, what a boastful king! He actually intends to use a code of law to govern all dragons in the world!"

"The problem is that such lofty ambitions require not only courage, but also extremely strong strength."

The mage Dor smiled, looked at the bald warrior, and a slight upturn of his lips.

"The great mage Cyril happened upon a grand gathering in the starry sky and had the good fortune to witness the supreme ruler of that other realm,"

"During that grand gathering of stars, hundreds of powerful legendary beings from the material worlds gathered in one place. Among them, there were countless powerful ones. Even the great mage Cyril saw a being who was even more powerful than the legendary ones, a chosen one."

"Hiss, are there even more powerful beings above the legendary level? I can't imagine," the bald warrior exclaimed.

Dole nodded and said, "Since you haven't received a systematic education and learning, you naturally can't understand some of the 'common sense' involved."

"You just need to think of those legendary, destined beings as kings who hold all power in a world, capable of changing the world, destroying it, and having the power of life and death."

"At least the great legend Cyril himself admitted that he could not possibly escape from such an existence."

Everyone around had their eyes shining as they watched the monk Dor expound on the secrets and knowledge.

"Even among the legendary powerhouses and those destined for greatness gathered from hundreds of material planes, the supreme king among the dragons can still roar across the starry sky, roam freely in all directions, and look down upon the world!"

Dole’s tone was filled with an indescribable respect, which infected everyone around him.

"In the chaos of battle, countless legendary warriors died at the hands of the dragon king, and each of them was a figure like the legendary Cyril."

"But even such powerful beings, their corpses fell like rain from the stars, their bones piled up into mountains, and their blood flowed into rivers."

"Furthermore, there were legendary Chosen Ones who were blasted to death in the starry sky by that supreme king with his might, and an even more powerful Chosen One was beaten to death by the Dragon King in his own world!"

"Tell me, can such power sustain the might and effectiveness of the Dragon Codex?"

Exclamations of amazement rose from all around. Such a powerful being was beyond their imagination. They could not perceive its specifics, but that did not prevent them from marveling at and praising it.

"What an extraordinary king! He not only possesses lofty ambitions but also unparalleled power!"

"Wow, I can't imagine how powerful that Dragon King is,"

"Could his wings cover cities, mountains, rivers, seas, and lakes?"

Even the soldiers around him started to murmur among themselves.

The elven archer's eyes lit up, and he asked, "You're saying that Argorgon won't be able to keep up for long because of this 'Dragon Codex'?"

Dol nodded, his gaze shifting to the robust red dragon that had already flown over the city, and a cold smile appeared on his face.

“The great mage Cyril has joined the Grand Alliance of the Stars, founded by that supreme ruler, and will entrust all matters concerning dragons in our world to the Golgmoran dragonflight.”

"What we can't handle isn't a problem for someone else!"

The bald warrior scratched his head, looked at the seemingly profound mage Dor, and asked, "But after all this time, Dor, you still haven't told us who that supreme ruler who has risen from the distant world is!"

"Kalon Gogmora!"

Dor said slowly, word by word, "But whether it is the great Cyril or other legendary powerhouses, they all respectfully call him the Emperor of the Dragon!"

"And those dragons, and the diverse races ruled by this supreme king, all call him the Holy Emperor Gogmora, the Supreme Ruler of the World, the Dragon Who Shapes the World!"
