Under the Red Dragon.

Chapter 430 The Coming Transformation

Chapter 430 The Coming Transformation

After several renovations and improvements, the Dragon Royal Court is now lavishly furnished in every room.

A long carpet woven from the fur of rare animals from another dimension was laid out on the smooth floor. This fur of unknown animals naturally possessed the property of absorbing and insulating sound.

It is also extremely thick and soft, making it a common household item in studies and bedrooms.

Even the carpets used for laying floors in the Golden Empire's textile bureau and above, which were supplied to the emperor, were imbued with magical effects to amplify their properties.

In one corner of this enormous bedroom, there was a magnificent screen, a national gift from the Orc Kingdom.

The screen is painted with over a thousand lifelike, strange and exotic beasts of various shapes and colors. These beasts are all extraordinary species with unique abilities in the world of Ekania, and even the least extraordinary ones are magical beasts born with extraordinary abilities.

These thousands of strange and exotic creatures are not just pretty decorations; they wander back and forth erratically within the screen, taking in all visitors who do not belong in this bedroom.

Once these strange beasts discover that the visitor has malicious intentions, they will leap out from behind the screen at some point, transforming into their true forms and driving the visitor out of the bedroom.

Moreover, if a learned mage were to examine the scene closely, they would discover that the forms of these strange beasts depicted on the screen were not drawn with ink or woven with silk threads.

Instead, it is woven from the finest feathers and fur of these thousands of strange beasts. Within their feathers and fur, the essence and bloodline of thousands of strange creatures, as well as their reforged alchemical souls, are sealed.

If some mages and powerful individuals who are well-versed in bloodline knowledge were to possess this screen, they could even use the bloodlines of these thousands of strange creatures to create a powerful army of monsters.

Behind this screen are rows of bronze dragon-faced lamps on the wall.

These dragon-faced lamps, resembling scaled-down dragons, with flames between their fangs like dragon breath, serve as both a stable and soft source of light for this bedroom and nodes connecting the energy core of the entire royal court.

None of the various decorations were ordinary; they were all rare and precious creations from the outside world.

When Kalon stepped into the bedroom, the thousands of strange beasts on the screen all closed their eyes.

The monster that had been looking down from the high mountain quietly retreated to the other side of the mountain. The strange creature that had been climbing on the towering ancient trees tiptoed back into the tree holes. The strange creature that had poked its head out in the lake and stream also withdrew its head and submerged underwater.

Caron looked at the partitioned balcony of the bedroom, which was empty and deserted, but two familiar auras had already given away their presence, because they had not really hidden themselves, although it would have been difficult for them to hide in front of Caron.

"You're all mature dragons now, why are you still as enthusiastic about games as when you were little kids?"

Caron chuckled softly, revealing his fangs slightly, and turned his massive head to look at the ornate screen in the corner.

“Oh, my king, my master, I told you long ago that this couldn't be hidden from your sun-like eyes, but Kleinaya insisted on doing it!”

A dragon-like chanting tone drifted over, and Kalon could imagine the melodious voice of the green dragon Antajina in private.

"You're talking nonsense, Antajena! This was clearly your suggestion first," Kleinaya, the grumpy little dragon, immediately retorted.

The next second, two female dragons emerged from an inconspicuous corner of the screen, growing larger and larger in an instant, standing gracefully in front of Kalon.

The word "charming" is absurd to use for dragons, but these two female dragons are certainly worthy of the word in front of Charon.

With the support of the Golden Empire and the natural growth of the dragons, both Karon and the dragon kings of the empire are evolving towards a higher level of life.

Whether in terms of strength or appearance, these dragons in the Golden Empire have all achieved different levels of improvement.

Moreover, the green dragon Antajena and the red dragon Kleinaya have now entered the late stages of their adolescence, approaching the maturity stage of a dragon's life. Having also received nurturing from Kalon, they are no longer as immature as they were back then, and are full of special charm.

From the perspective of the dragon race's aesthetic standards, these two female dragons are now considered exceptionally beautiful.

Moreover, although these two female dragons have grown to different sizes, they have both exceeded the 25-meter mark.

Even the green dragon Antajena has broken through the shackles of her green dragon bloodline and has transformed into a colossal dragon.

However, compared to the mountain-like ancestral red dragons, their size is no different from that of a young dragon facing a mature dragon, or even much larger.

Kalon's gaze lingered on the two female dragons. He still remembered the days many years ago when they were still cubs, hunting and playing together as a herd of Gogmora dragons, finding joy in childish games.

Every time Antajana tried to cheat her way to victory and was caught by Karon, she would brazenly drag Kleinaya into it.

The resurfacing of past memories miraculously dispelled the primal desires that had been stirred in Karon by the Naga princess Galun, transforming them into tenderness.

These two female dragons, despite their individual flaws, have been with Karon for a long time.

The phrase "childhood sweethearts" doesn't quite apply to dragons, but they all grew up playing and fighting together since they were little.

Humans are not creatures of lasting affection, and although dragons possess a more intense and profound primal desire than humans, they are not exactly creatures of lasting affection either.

Caron couldn't quite define whether his feelings for Antagena and Kleinaya could be considered love, but he knew one thing: he loved having them by his side until the end of time.

“You still can’t change your nature, Antajanna,”

With a light laugh, Kalon gently placed his paw on the slender neck of the approaching green dragon. The smooth, emerald-colored scales shimmered under the light, reflecting a beautiful glow and possessing a pleasant feel.

Kron's other paw was cradled against his chest by Kleinaya, who felt the wonderful sensation of the female dragon's completely relaxed and heightened senses. "You've become even stronger, my king,"

The green dragon Antajena looked up at Karon. At this moment, the two were in the closest possible contact, which allowed the green dragon to feel how enormous Karon's body was. Even this female dragon, who had transformed into a super-giant dragon species, had to raise her long neck as much as possible to touch Karon's raised chin.

"The difference between ordinary dragons and their ancestral giants is vast, like the difference between a valley and a mountain, but the difference between even one ancestral giant is also enormous to me,"

“Kalon, my love, my brother, you have always been someone I look up to! I can hardly find a chance to hold you beneath me,”

Kleinaya's head drew near Karon, her slightly hoarse voice carrying warm breath that touched Karon's scales. His strong, muscular body and the beautiful scales covering his entire body were attracting this female red dragon in every way.

Kleinaya wrapped her arms around Karon's thick neck and pressed down slightly, making Karon's head level with her own raised head. Their breaths were exchanging, and a faint scent of desire filled the air.

“You’ll have plenty of opportunities to pin me down,” Caron said, his breathing becoming heavier. “That way, it’ll be easier for me.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the temperature of Karon's scales rose significantly, but it wasn't Karon's reaction; rather, it was his amplified senses that clearly detected the rapid increase in the temperature of the two female dragons' bodies.

Not to be outdone, the green dragon Antajena moved closer to Karon, her long tail swirling and caressing against his chest and abdomen, and her voice began to tremble.

"It's been so long since we last met. Have you thought about me?" The green dragon Antajena exhaled a sweet breath, carrying the dreamlike scent of the beautiful yet poisonous magical plants of the forest.

At that moment, Kalon's massive body quietly took a step back, a wicked smile spreading across his face as he whispered, "Of course, whether it's you or the Golgmora dragons,"

“But the important matter is at hand. We have plenty of time ahead of us, Antajena.”

A profound silence fell over the bedroom, the only sounds being the grinding and sucking of the teeth by the two female dragons, who seemed to want to carve ten or eight bloody wounds into Karon's body.

"You're just using your despicable dragon tricks to toy with us, damned Charon," the green dragon Antajana gritted her teeth in annoyance, then spoke viciously, "The candidates to be sent to the Crimson Heaven plane have been selected."

"Because the personnel dispatched by the Empire this time are designated as civilization observers, most of them are members of the Civilization Observation Council. They are basically intelligent mages who know how to conceal their identities, know when to advance and retreat, and possess self-preservation skills,"

Antajena frowned slightly, her delicate brows furrowing, the fine scales on her tightly knit forehead resembling beautiful emeralds.

"However, given your emphasis on this dimension, the Empire has provided the greatest possible support to this group of people. Even the Empire's Assassin Court has dispatched several dragons skilled in stealth and assassination to accompany them to that world."

Caron nodded slightly, giving Antajina straightforward affirmation, "Well done, Antajina. Your wisdom is extremely efficient when used in the right way."

"That dimension is related to the future direction of the Golden Empire, so we cannot be careless. In order to maintain contact, the Empire's resources should be tilted towards that dimension to the greatest extent possible."

Antajana nodded. When it came to serious matters, the green dragon would never go against Karon's wishes.

“I know your efforts will not be in vain,” Antajena said. “However, although the Empire now possesses highly advanced interdimensional teleportation technology, the resources consumed for inter-universe teleportation are enormous.”

"With the Empire's current strength, it is not yet possible to establish a direct interdimensional portal between two universes. We can only build interdimensional portals step by step, following the beacons left by you and other kings in deep space as base points. According to the Ministry of Magic's estimate, it will take at least half a year."

“That’s enough. We’re not in a rush,” Caron nodded slightly. There was nothing he could do about it.

Even after Charon and the other kings returned to the Empire, it still took them several months to travel through deep space, given their capabilities. The Empire's estimate that these constructions could be completed in six months was only possible thanks to the valuable beacons and maps left behind by Charon and the other kings.

Moreover, if Charon and the kings hadn't used the Tower of Babel and the metal continents floating above the planet to manipulate gravity and capture and anchor that fleeting crack in the cosmic barrier, the Empire would have had a hard time finding the corresponding target, no matter how much time it spent.

Kalon looked at Kleinaya, and the female dragon nodded slightly, saying, "Our soon-to-be-dormant lair is under construction. The Empire's giants and dwarven artisans, led by mages from the Imperial Magic Research Department, are luring and capturing small dimensional planes that meet the elemental energy requirements and are compatible with the elemental properties."

"This massive project is estimated to take three months to complete,"

Caron pondered for a moment, "Three months later? The time is about the same, so it's not a big deal. My dormancy period being delayed by a few days won't affect my transformation."

For an ordinary dragon to undergo a metamorphosis, it needs to make many preparations in its own dragon nest, including countless energy crystals and magic gems, or use magic circles in advance to accumulate magic power for its nest.

Even so, ordinary dragons need to prepare for this for several years in advance, because the timing of a dragon's transformation is closely related to its strength.

The more powerful a creature is, the longer it takes to cross different levels of life, and the more energy it requires. Nothing comes out of thin air.

Many of the dragons in the core of Kalon and Gogmora have been dormant for roughly the same amount of time since they were young, because they are in a similar age group.

In order for the emperor and the many dragon kings and great dragons of the empire to undergo a perfect transformation, the empire had naturally made preparations long ago.

However, Karon's current situation is different from that of ordinary dragons who skip adolescence; his transformation is almost like an ascension to a higher rank.

Whether it's a legendary dragon or the first generation of dragons, it represents a tremendous transformation for Charon, and the energy it consumes would be terrifying even to a legendary mage.

It's not just about Charon's enormous body and his even more powerful soul, but also about the power born from the system built by the legends—a power that gradually touches upon the fundamental laws of the world.

The private planes built by those legendary mages, whose magic had been accumulated over countless years, have been drained. They may only be able to make initial progress in Charon's transformation, let alone allow Charon to make a perfect transition.

"Unfortunately, the sun above the world of Ekania is not suitable for me yet," Caron thought with a hint of regret.

Sleeping and transforming in the sun would be a perfect way to obtain energy, but the Golden Empire is currently unable to protect the Dragon Emperor's slumber on the sun.
