Chapter 13 Meeting in the Library
The two men in black were still busy on the first floor, and they were already heading towards the bedroom on the second floor.

"Mr. Miyano, look at this."

An He opened the wardrobe and found the space on the bottom layer was empty with a circle of light dust around it. It was obvious that something had been stored there before but it was taken away recently.

The adult-sized clothes above were not moved, so it seems that the missing clothes might be old clothes from childhood.

"It seems that the scene I saw a few days ago was not an illusion. Kudo Shinichi has really degenerated and shrunk into a child."

He walked to the bed. On the bedside table was a framed photo of the Kudo family of three with the famous Statue of Liberty in the background. Kudo Shinichi in the photo was still a young boy, who looked no more than 14 years old, probably the age when he just entered junior high school.

"This was taken in New York, right? The Kudo couple look really young. You can't tell at all that they are middle-aged people with children who are almost adults."

An He sighed.

"The information says that not long after Kudo Shinichi entered junior high school, Kudo Yusaku and Kudo Yukiko moved abroad, leaving him alone in this house in Beihua. This must have been the time when the photo was taken."

Miyano Shiho also came over to take a look, and marveled at the couple's appearance: "Although the information mentioned that Kudo Yukiko gave birth to Kudo Shinichi when she was about 20 years old, I didn't expect them to look so young."

"Since this photo was taken, it means that Kudo Shinichi should have gone to New York with them, right? Why did he end up living alone in Japan?"

"Maybe he doesn't want to stay abroad?"

Miyano Shiho guessed casually and shook his head, "Who can guess the mind of a rebellious young man? After all, he still often appears at the crime scene until now."

"That's true."

An He agreed deeply.

"By the way, we won't be going back with them later. You and I will go to the Rice Flower Library."

"Well? Aren't we going back?"

An He asked in confusion, "What are you going to the library for?"

Miyano Shiho sighed and looked at him as if he was trash.

"Although I expected this, your attitude of taking it for granted is really infuriating. Even if I didn't ask you to do anything on purpose, you should have been prepared for it, right? Or are you stupid enough to think that the identity of 'student' is just a name?"

Only then did Anhe realize that Miyano Shiho was going to fulfill the duties of a "teacher".

"I'm not used to teaching people step by step, and I don't intend to really teach a complete layman, but I still have to do it as I should, starting with reading books to familiarize myself with the basics."

Miyano Shiho lifted her hair and said casually, "Many books may not be found in civilian bookstores. It is better to go to a specialized library to save trouble."

"Wait, are these books that you can't find in ordinary bookstores really used to lay the foundation?"

With Anhe worried like this, the first attendance investigation ended hastily. They only needed to do it again after a month to change the name of Kudo Shinichi to "confirmed dead".

Since the two key insiders, Anhe and Miyano Shiho, remained silent, the two men in black naturally could not find anything unusual.

Unlike Miyano Shiho, Anhe had no psychological burden in commanding these ordinary members of the organization, and he naturally asked the two men in black to send them to the Beika Library.

"You are really self-aware enough." Miyano Shiho got out of the car and watched the two men in black go away with a complicated look in her eyes.

It was difficult for her to order others around so naturally, especially members of an organization.

An He didn't think there was anything wrong with it: "The director must have some privileges."

"It seems something unexpected happened."

He suddenly saw a police car parked on the side of the road.

When the two walked into the library lobby, they saw several police officers waiting for the elevator. The fat police captain in the lead was wearing a brown leather coat and there were several children around him.

"What happened, Inspector Megure?"

A little boy in a blue suit spoke innocently.

"Oh, we received a report from a lady that Mr. Tamada Kazuo, who works here, seems to have been missing for some time. We are here to investigate the matter."

The inspector Megure seemed to be very easy to talk to, and he explained patiently even though the person who asked him the question was a boy who looked about seven or eight years old. However, looking at the boy, Miyano Shiho and Anhe both looked strange for a while, and looked at each other, and saw the surprise in each other's eyes.

Although he was wearing glasses, his facial features and face shape were undoubtedly the same person they saw in the photo beside Kudo Shinichi's bed, just a few years younger.

Anhe knew that this was the so-called protagonist, Edogawa Conan.

Another well-behaved and lively girl turned around and saw the two of them, her eyes sparkling.

"Wow, what a beautiful sister!"

"Really?" The fat boy and the thin boy nearby were also attracted.

"Thank you."

Miyano Shiho responded politely, thought for a moment, and then said, "You are also very beautiful."

"You are really approachable, Mr. Miyano."

An He said sarcastically that he didn't have such a good expression when he first met her.

Miyano Shiho ignored him.

"My name is Yoshida Ayumi, and next to me are my friends, Kojima Genta, Tsuburaya Mitsuhiko, and Edogawa Conan!"

Ayumi is not afraid of strangers and introduces herself and her friends very outgoingly.

"Together, we are the Junior Detective Team!"

"Really? It sounds good."

Miyano Shiho seems to be particularly tolerant and patient with children. "You can call me Sister Miyano. The one next to you is my student Awa-kun."

"What? Wa-kun, don't teach children nonsense."

An He corrected with a dark face: "My name is An He, you can just call me Brother An He."

"Wow, is Miyano-san a teacher?"

Ayumi blinked her big watery eyes and it seemed that she had some admiration for the profession of teacher.

"That's it."

Conan, who was standing by, had secretly watched the two of them for a long time, and finally found a chance to interrupt and asked An He, "Brother An He is Chinese, right?"

"Yes."

An He nodded and explained: "My name is An Minghe, not the Japanese surname An He that is pronounced as 'Awa'."

"I see."

Conan looked like he understood something, as if he was just a child. "Oh, but Anhe-niang obviously doesn't look much older than Miyano-niang, why did she say you were her student?"

"Maybe it's because I'm stupid."

Anhe didn't intend to answer this question seriously, and just smiled and dealt with it with an answer that Conan was obviously not satisfied with.

After a while, the elevator arrived.

The leading Inspector Megure walked in first, followed closely by two police officers, a man and a woman. Judging from their features, they should be Sato and Takagi, two police officers who appear more frequently.

The four children followed closely behind.

However, when Anhe and Miyano Shiho started to walk into the elevator, a loud warning sounded.

overloaded.
