Foolish Brother Odin

Chapter 492: Meeting 1 and letting go of grudges with laughter

Chapter 492 A Smile at Reunion Forgives All Enmity
There was no arrogance or haughtiness, no conspiracy or scheming, no hatred or disgust.

When Odin said the words of welcoming his elder brother, he was surprised to find that he was surprisingly calm.

These words were spoken as casually as eating and drinking.

Just moments before, he was still thinking about how many lies he had told his subjects and how he didn't know how to cover them up.

What if the boss turns his back on his word and kills all his men, like Apuch?

But his reason and emotions both told him that his older brother wasn't such a petty person.

If Towns really cared that much, Odin's soul would have been annihilated long ago.

Alas! What is a blessing or a curse cannot be avoided; Odin, having come to terms with it, has given up.

Downs found it amusing to look at Odin's resigned and submissive gaze, even though Downs had a past life. In this life, the two brothers had been targeting and scheming against each other for over a hundred years, which ended with Odin completely giving in.

This fake brotherhood is truly dramatic!

“Odin, everything from the past will be remembered, and the Aesir will not mistreat any meritorious person.” These words, which sounded perfectly reasonable to the listener, actually contained Downs’s promise.

Merits are merits, and faults are faults.

Since Downs didn't immediately label Odin a sinful god, Odin knew he had probably passed the test.

Odin breathed a sigh of relief. But even if he tried to force a smile, the frustration of being repeatedly 'hunted down' by Downs over the past century and failing to establish himself again made his expression unnatural.

"My (damn) elder brother! It's been so long." There was a subtle difference between Odin's mouth movements and his divine voice.

“My (foolish) brother! Long time no see.” Towns echoed.

Odin, however, was speechless after being scolded.

Stupid?
Yes, every time Odin reflects, he feels incredibly foolish for having absorbed a large amount of Chaos power and recklessly raised the banner of rebellion in pursuit of his ambition.

Ironically, every time Odin reviewed the events over the past century, he knew that he himself back then was unwilling to listen to any advice.

He boasts that he is stronger than his elder brother and should therefore have more control over the Aesir gods and take all the beautiful goddesses!

Even after reviewing the events a hundred times, Odin still felt that he couldn't have known his elder brother's power at the time—not just divine power, but power in every sense of the word.

Odin has repeatedly risen to power only to be used as a pawn by his elder brother, subjected to various forms of torture, and stripped of his fighting spirit. Odin believes that, given his nature, even now, he would never accept defeat.

You can never learn God from God.

If you teach God, you'll learn it in no time.

It was only after experiencing defeat to Zeus, being captured, having his goddess stolen, enduring utter humiliation, and then instigating the Titan rebellion that Odin realized all his struggles over the years had been meaningless.

Since he could never surpass his elder brother in the future, he could only... lie down and relax.

If you fall down in your older brother's arms, dance clumsily like a clown in his palm, and finally discover the truth, then all you can do is... lie at your older brother's feet.

Odin gazed at the still-glorious yet infinitely powerful phantom of Tangs, and felt a surge of emotion.

"Brother, I don't want anything else right now. I just want..."

"Hera, isn't she?" Downs made a knowing look, and even winked.

After a brief moment of surprise, Odin burst into genuine laughter: "Hahaha! You truly understand me, my elder brother!"

Even though they were just phantoms, they embraced each other sincerely in the void.

The phantom felt unreal, yet Odin somehow felt all his grievances soothed.

“My (foolish) younger brother has been bullied, and I, as the elder brother, can’t just turn a blind eye.” “I’ll leave everything to you, elder brother.” Odin had a feeling at this moment: after giving all the instructions, he didn’t want to do anything else, he just wanted to quietly wait for Zeus to meet his end.

"Well, leave it to me."

What follows is a bit formulaic.

Odin summoned his old and new subordinates and introduced them to Towns.

What is Towns's current prestigious status?

In reality, only the dozen or so Mayan ancient gods of Apchena and a few newly allied former god-kings were qualified to be personally introduced by Odin.

Downs gave Odin face, offering a few words of comfort to Apche, and simply nodded to the other god-kings.

Over the next few days, Odin, filled with unease, first visited the Aesir.

Tangs had Gilgamesh, along with a group of gods, sit at the front of the Fusang world to meet with Odin first.

This not only greatly enhanced Odin's fighting strength, but also brought Odin a group of goddesses.

Most of them were worthless sea goddesses. The only ones of truly noble status were Anatolia, the goddess of sunrise, and Eletre, the goddess of prayer. These two goddesses, who were of divine rank, were dragged into the surrender when Athena surrendered.

In Downs' eyes, this kind of goddess, who is not particularly outstanding in Greek mythology, is no different from someone who has no special abilities.

Originally, they planned to wait until after defeating Zeus before Tangs made the distribution. Now that Odin has returned, they might as well appease him.

Odin, being quite sensible, handed over the former slave god-kings to Gilgamesh. He then spent his days drinking and making merry in the temple given to him by Tangs in the Fusang world with his old ministers, Apche and others, without showing any intention of competing for credit with the new god-kings.

Odin was such a good god that naturally the various Aesir kings had a good impression of him.

Only the true, veteran Asgardians remained wary and distant of Odin and his group. Even Odin's former good friend Loki only came to have a drink with Odin once.

Seven days later, the main force of the Aesir arrived at the Battle Starfield from the world of Jinlunga. This time, Odin finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Apuche, celebrate the end of Zeus."

"Praise be to our Divine Emperor!" Apche was quite adept at this, leading the way by raising his glass.

The other gods, whether Mayan or newly allied former Greek goddesses, all raised their glasses in celebration.

Yes, only those who have been brutally beaten by the Aesir gods will know how powerful and terrifying they are.

What they were most grateful for was that they had at least caught the last ship to eternal victory!

The rest is up to Towns and his team to perform.

Kinlunga, Asgard, the Silver Palace.

The Asgardians were already eager to fight, waiting near the Rainbow Bridge, ready to strike at any moment.

Only Downs and the other goddesses remained in the Silver Palace.

Towns has no reason to leave his temple until the decisive battle.

Athena frowned: "The Greek world is late."

To prevent Odin from being intercepted by Zeus, Downs at least accelerated the world of Ginnunga by a few days. Logically, Ginnunga should only arrive one day earlier than the Greek world.

The result was that the Greek world was three days late.

The only explanation is that Zeus caused the entire world to move in the opposite direction, thus slowing down its movement.
