Chapter 479 (Complete Collection)

After Athena uttered those words, she suddenly felt a strange sensation throughout her entire being.

An aura called destiny transformed into an endless ocean and engulfed her.

It engulfed the city of Athens, which she protected, from the city's clean stone pavement to the men, women, children and the elderly wandering the city's streets and alleys, to the magnificent palaces and towering banners. It spread like smoke and mist all the way to the Temple of Athena, the highest point on the Acropolis.

The city-state she loved and the mortals she protected all changed their stance and allegiance with a single word from her.

This mysterious feeling was so bizarre that Athena became somewhat fascinated by it.

Open the bow without turning back the arrow!

A promise is a promise.

Honestly, Thor on the other side was clearly startled.

The children of Downs had been repeatedly warned by their father that, below Zeus and his two brothers, the most dangerous deity in the Olympian pantheon was Athena.

Athena is now saying she's going to vote?
This isn't a clone; it's her true form!
Thor could hardly believe his ears. He turned around and saw the same astonishment on the faces of his younger siblings.

Thor, never lacking in decisiveness, immediately realized that this was a good opportunity.

“It’s good that you have this awareness. You are also the goddess-king whom my father has specifically chosen to stay. In that case, Catherine will accompany you back to Kinlunga.” Thor then turned to look at Apollo not far away: “And you?”

"I will continue to fight for the Olympian pantheon!" Apollo uttered an unexpected answer.

The Aesir gods: ? ? ?
Only Athena, as she passed Thor in mid-air, spoke in a calm tone that all the gods could hear: "Apollo is the god of light, and his divine duty prevents him from committing any act of betrayal. But if we beat him down and capture him, he will neither run away nor resist."

Apollo: “…”

Thor was overjoyed: "Got it!"

Athena, accompanied by the goddess of victory, exchanged a glance with Apollo before stepping into the rainbow light that shone upon them once more.

Athena saw the struggle, heartache, and helplessness in Apollo's eyes. She sighed softly and left with a quiet, lingering sentence: "See you over there."

Apollo was even more conflicted, watching with an incredibly complex expression as Athena's dignified figure stepped into the rainbow light.

Thor brandished Mjolnir, the pure and surging power of lightning emanating from it was truly astonishing.

In Apollo's view, Thor's power of thunder and lightning felt very similar to Zeus's. The only difference was that Thor did not have the divine authority of the sky, which made it easy for Thor's divine power output to lack sustainability. This forced him to rely more on his father god, Downs.

"I'm sorry, Apollo, although Artemis informed me, time is a bit tight, and the Father God instructed us to thoroughly weaken the Olympian pantheon's fighting power, so we can't hold back!"

After Thor finished speaking, Tyr, the god of war, and Gilgamesh, the god of wealth, followed him out of the ranks.

In the void, the three gods, separated by about fifty meters from Apollo, formed a triangular encirclement. To onlookers, this exceptionally handsome Greek god of light seemed destined for great torment.

He brought it on himself.

Just as Athena transformed into a streak of rainbow light and sped away from this airspace, she saw several incredibly powerful divine lights suddenly blaze up in the airspace where she had been, so much so that the golden light at the center resembled the glow of fireflies.

"Alas!" Athena sighed deeply.

Not long after, in the rear hall of the Silver Palace in Asgard, the devoted niece Artemis was carefully instructing her aunt Hestia on how to maintain weapons of mass destruction. Hestia was still struggling to fully embody her new role, especially with the nymphs and Valkyries who had once served her closely around her.

She learns very slowly and very poorly.

Ironically, it was precisely this clumsiness and shyness that, in Towns' eyes, became the rarest treasure, and for a limited time no less.

Just then, the door to the rear hall was suddenly opened.

"Ah?" Hestia let out an uncontrollable gasp, her whole body went cold, and she even stiffened briefly.

What did she see?
A goddess clad in shimmering golden armor, with firm steps and a confident expression, slowly entered the magnificent palace.

The surrounding area was filled with the seductive music played by nymphs, and the eyes were filled with Valkyries draped in light veils. Her presence seemed out of place in this rear hall.

"Athena?" Hestia and Artemis exclaimed in unison.

Why is she here?

They couldn't understand why Athena, the wisest and most powerful goddess in the Olympian pantheon, would appear here in full armor.

The situation was so bizarre and abrupt that it made them feel as if their minds were paralyzed and they had temporarily lost their ability to think.

Seeing her two former colleagues stiff with shock, Athena could no longer keep a straight face; she revealed a mysterious smile.

“Don’t be afraid, Hestia, Artemis, I’m not here to threaten you, I’m here to join you.” With each word Athena spoke, a piece of her equipment fell from her body: first the divine spear forged by Hephaestus himself, then the Aegis shield, followed by shoulder armor, gauntlets, breastplate…

With each step she takes forward, her 'defense' increases by one level.

Finally, she knelt before Towns in a rather elegant manner.

This scene left her aunt and half-sister stunned.

"I'm very curious, why did you make this decision based on your own will?"

"Because of despair!" Athena raised her head and answered calmly.

"despair?"

“Yes, I see no hope of victory for the Olympian pantheon. Especially considering that Zeus, the king of the gods, is so selfish, greedy, and unable to distinguish who his true enemies are, yet he still covets me.”

"Ha! I have heard of Zeus's debauchery; I've heard he harmed almost all of his relatives. But is that all?"

Downs was genuinely curious. He stretched out his right arm, rested his head on it, and gestured for Hestia and Artemis to continue serving him.

Even though he knew that these two goddesses were probably not paying attention.

Athena seemed oblivious to their movements; her clear, black eyes held only Towns's gaze.
“Zeus is my father god, and to me, the worst god-king. He usually worships Hera, and even though Hera is so jealous, he still chooses to uphold Hera's authority. If it were just to give the gods an object of hatred and divert their dissatisfaction from him, that would be one thing. But with a great enemy at hand, he still allows Hera to persecute every god child who is not born of Hera. This is the way to bring disaster upon himself!”

Zeus coveted her beauty, and Athena made no secret of her disgust for Zeus and her strong dissatisfaction with Hera.
