Foolish Brother Odin

Chapter 442 Count me in?

Chapter 442 Count Me In?
In almost every famous Greek story, there is a tragic character left to the Amazons.

These valiant female warriors, with their thorough female supremacy principles, were completely at odds with mainstream Athenian culture.

For example, Hercules, who had just become the king of the gods, had one of his twelve trials to take the belt from Hippolyta, the queen of the Amazons. This belt was given to Hippolyta by the god of war himself and symbolized the queen's power.

In his battles with the Amazons, Hercules encountered many formidable opponents—Aera, known as the "Whirlwind Girl" for her swiftness; Pelothea, who had won seven individual duels; three of the other eight women were warriors chosen by Artemis during her hunt, skilled in javelin throwing; there was also Alchipa, who had vowed never to marry; and then there was Melanippa, the valiant Amazonian leader—Hercules finally managed to subdue them all with great difficulty.

In another incident, Theseus, then King of Athens, reached the banks of the Amazon River during his early adventures and was warmly received by the warlike Amazon women. However, he repaid their kindness with enmity, tricking the Amazon queen Antiope back to Athens and marrying her.

The Amazons were enraged by his actions and sought an opportunity for revenge. One day, an Amazon fleet suddenly arrived, landed, besieged the city, and quickly captured Athens, establishing a camp in the city center. The Athenian forces and the Amazon forces were locked in a prolonged stalemate, with victories and defeats on both sides, until finally a peace treaty was signed. The Amazons left Athens and retreated to their homeland, while Queen Antiope was killed in battle.

In the various conflicts between the Amazons and the Greeks, led by the city-state of Athens, the gods always took sides.

The only true protector of them was Artemis, the goddess of the hunt.

This led to the Amazons outwardly worshipping the Olympian gods, but in reality only associating with the goddess of the hunt!
Their defection is therefore not surprising.

Seeing her sister and most of her followers choose to follow the goddess of the hunt, Hippolyta was greatly pleased and announced to the crowd: "Her great Queen Artemis has acquired a land ten times larger than Asia Minor as her hunting grounds. Moreover, the true battle between the Aesir and the Olympian gods has not yet begun. Now, sisters, let us first inspect our new territory, and then on the day of the decisive battle, unleash our fury upon those damned Greeks—"

"Ooooooooooo!" The Amazon warriors, led by Penthesilea, cheered and jumped for joy, raising various weapons high, and many of them banged on their shields, making a clanging sound.

As a nomadic tribe, they were far more mobile than agricultural peoples.

After packing their belongings in just half a day, these fierce female warriors followed their queen without looking back and stepped into the gate that represented the unknown space.

A day later, they arrived in the South American continent of Kinlunga World.

They were immediately stunned by this vast, undeveloped continent.

“My sister, don’t just stand there! Take ten thousand men and let’s go to Asgard to be inspected by the goddess! And while we’re at it, let’s receive the investiture from His Majesty the God-King!” Hippolyta said.

"Ah good!"

Before long, Penthesilea led Amazon warriors in full armor to an open space, and then an incredibly thick rainbow beam pierced the sky and poured down on them.

For a moment, they all thought they were about to be completely annihilated by this divine light, their bodies and souls vanishing.

When they came to their senses, they found themselves in the enormous Rainbow Bridge Palace.

"Welcome, valiant Amazon warriors! I am Heimdall, the guardian of the Rainbow Bridge!" A fair-skinned, golden-toothed, golden-armored giant smiled at them.

The smile of the giant!
Whether it was the opponent's unbelievably powerful divine strength, their exaggerated height, or the great hall that recorded the glorious hunting achievements of the Aesir, everything filled the Amazon warrior with excitement and joy.

They are an extremely martial tribe! A hunting people! And deep down, they have an extreme admiration for strength!
Women alone cannot bear children, so on fixed holidays, they would go outside the forest to recruit many men for intercourse. If a girl was born, she would be kept and raised as a new generation of Amazonian warriors; if a boy was born, he would be returned to his father to raise. Penthesilea looked at the eyes of the two progenitor giants in the hall, at the tentacles of the Kraken, at the head of the poisonous dragon Nidhogg… It's no exaggeration to say that in that instant, she became aroused.

This is exactly what Amazonian women want!
Penthesilea instinctively squeezed her long, slender, and incredibly supple wheat-colored legs together, excitedly asking, "Sister! Are these all His Majesty the God-Emperor's spoils of war?"

Hippolyta answered proudly, “Of course. The story of the Aesir destroying several Chaos Beasts during Ragnarok is widely known among the Aesir. In fact, it is the beginning of the glorious history of the Aesir.”

Just then, a group of twelve Valkyries descended gracefully on white Pegasus.

To the Amazonian warriors, these female knights wearing winged helmets appeared to be of extremely high status, as even the gods and giant soldiers guarding the temple bowed to them, with Heimdall only bowing slightly.

"Hispania," said the leading Valkyrie, "I have come to greet you all by the command of His Majesty the Divine Emperor and the goddess Artemis."

Hippolyta stepped forward warmly and took the Valkyrie's hand: "Thank you, Sister Brunhilde."

Brunhilde smiled slightly: "Hurry up and get the team together! His Majesty values you all quite a bit."

"it is good!"

After Brunhilde finished giving her instructions, she led her sisters on horseback to wait at the gate.

After Penthesilea finished issuing a series of orders and had his generals line up, he immediately came over and asked, "Sister, you call her sister?"

Hippolyta blushed: "It's... the relationship where we, as divine servants, lend a hand when the goddess Artemis can't hold on any longer."

"Can I join too? How about I join as well?" Pentessilia launched a direct attack.

Hippolyta couldn't make the decision: "That depends on Your Majesty's mood."

"it is good!"

This is actually a characteristic of Amazonian women. In the later stages of Greek mythology, there is also the story of the Amazonian queen Thalesis visiting Alexander the Great and spending thirteen days and nights with him in exchange for a woman.

The Amazonian warriors were formidable, but their strength was ultimately within the realm of mortal combat. Their bronze equipment was also inadequate. However, an army composed entirely of women was still a very rare sight for the Asgardians.

The people of Asgard today are mostly mortals who have served the Aesir for many years, with a very few possessing Aesir blood. Despite their different races, they have all inherited the same character: a strong sense of martial prowess!

Seeing that they had come to Asgard not as prisoners, but as a new army, they couldn't help but point and whisper in surprise.
