Chapter 3: Give him his own way
Ryan drove the car forward at a constant speed. The area around the road became more and more desolate. Only abandoned wooden houses, half-human-high wild grass, discarded old furniture, and countless garbage were left. Combined with the setting sun in the evening, it looked like a classic scene from an American horror movie.

"Where is this?" Taylor still looked around nervously.

Ryan turned his head and glanced at Taylor who was sitting in the passenger seat.

She was wearing her white spring coat inside out, her body hunched back, looking at him warily.

At this moment, Taylor's mind was filled with some bad social news, some men lured women they just met to remote places...

Taylor's heart beat faster, and just as the idea of calling the police came to his mind, as Ryan turned the car, a busy repair shop came into view.

"Although the place is a bit remote, at least maintenance is convenient and quick. My car was modified here before." Ryan got out of the car and started chatting with the workers in the repair shop.

"Couldn't you have told me earlier?"

Taylor, who was sitting in the car, was frightened at first, then laughed. Then he took out a pair of Chanel sunglasses from his handbag and put them on, and then took out a baseball cap, disguised himself before getting out of the car.

The workers in the repair shop seemed more interested in the car than the woman in sunglasses and a baseball cap.

Ryan was right. Not only was there no need to queue here, but the workers were highly skilled. It only took less than half an hour for the sheet metal to be painted and polished, and everything was restored to its original state, with no trace of the previous tragic "injury".

"Considering that your mother is driving this car, she might be angry if she saw it," Ryan said as he got back into the car.

"Is this how you chase girls?" Taylor said for no reason.

"I don't think it's necessary." Ryan said in a relaxed tone.

He did this entirely for Terry's sake, including helping her drive the car out before. Putting aside personal preferences, he and Terry were partners after all.

As far as I can remember, the original owner had never actively pursued any girl because of his face and figure. On the contrary, it was always the girls who pursued him since his school days.

"So they think the refrigeration system in the car is not very good?" Taylor asked with a smile.

"Many times when I went to have it serviced, the maintenance worker would impatiently tell me that the air conditioner was not broken at all," Ryan said.

When the misunderstanding was resolved, the atmosphere in the car began to become relaxed.

"Have you ever matched with a girl in a car?" Tyler asked, narrowing his eyes.

Ryan knew he had done it, Taylor knew he had done it, and Ryan knew Taylor knew he had done it, but Ryan still chose to shake his head.

"Tsk, I don't believe it." Taylor said without surprise.

This time, just as Ryan was about to turn the steering wheel to return the same way, he suddenly turned the steering wheel in the opposite direction, causing the vehicle to drive away from home.

"I didn't say I didn't want to go home." Taylor fiddled with the ends of her golden hair and looked at Ryan in a seductive way.

·
At dusk, the setting sun illuminates half the sky red, and the clouds are magnificent and brilliant.

The SUV parked in a wasteland under a tree started slowly, and the front windows on both sides were lowered at the same time. Taylor, who had just put on his shirt, leaned close to the window and took a few deep breaths, the blush on his face was particularly bright.

Then he picked up his slim-fitting jeans and said without hesitation, "Since you've worked so hard, I can give you a chance. After the new EP is released in the summer, I will shoot a MV for the first single of the new album. I will choose Trey as the director, and you will be the male lead."

She was the one who decided on the male lead for the previous few MVs. A MV always needs a male lead, and it doesn’t really make much difference to Taylor who she chooses.

Then, she began to tidy up the ends of her hair to make it look less messy, then the collar, then stretched the hem, then raised her chin, and repeatedly checked her neck with the rearview mirror to see if there were any marks. After the inspection, she started to put on her shoes, and the last step was to put on the scarf she had been wearing before. Everything looked like nothing had happened.

Ryan didn't expect that this little country beauty would be so uninhibited in private. Although he knew that being with such a person was doomed to have no results, it was still acceptable to relax his body and mind occasionally.

Don't let any bad woman go, right? "Terry has your cell phone number?" Ryan tried to say, implying that he wanted to keep in touch with Taylor for a long time.

Taylor suddenly looked very alert, Ryan's words just now appearing in his mind.

I don't know his past, who knows what kind of person he is? And he's a model, so I'd better not get too involved in this industry... After thinking for a few seconds, Taylor made a decision.

She just said, "Listen, I don't want you to get the wrong idea. You're a gentleman and great in every way. I'm really, really satisfied with you. But I'm really, really busy right now. I have to record a new album, so I'm afraid I don't have the energy to date anyone. Maybe we can develop further in the future, but at least for now, let's not contact each other."

"Forget what just happened and don't tell anyone about it, is that right?" Ryan, who was driving, smiled.

Taylor turned to him and said, "You are very smart and enthusiastic. That's why I didn't think of deceiving you. This is what I really thought. My parents always taught me to protect myself when I was out there. I admit that I was a little impulsive just now, but that's because I trust you. If you think there is something wrong with me, we can terminate our cooperation at any time."

First, say something nice, then attribute your behavior to impulse, and finally make a subtle threat.

Ryan's smile became increasingly bitter, but he was also well aware of the disparity in status between the two parties. If he went ahead with it, he would not only lose the chance to be the male lead in the MV, but it might even affect Tracy.

So rationally speaking, I can only do what she wants? Writing a song for my ex-boyfriend is a commercial activity. It can't be written about me anyway. It's just a friendly shot. What's the big deal?

"It's still three months away from summer. Maybe I'll be kicked out by Treasure before the MV shooting starts." Ryan said suddenly.

"That's your problem."

"You're right. In order to make a living, I can only compile what happened this afternoon into a song and sing it in the bars in Nashville. Don't worry, I will never mention you. This is in line with your confidentiality requirements. However, I am a rather vulgar person, so the words I use are inevitably explicit, just like those booty music. You should not mind, right?" Ryan smiled.

Writing other people's privacy into songs and singing them everywhere, isn't this what Taylor is best at? He can be said to be returning the favor in the same way.

Taylor turned his head and stared at Ryan.

"Actually, you can think on the bright side. My writing skills are so poor that no matter how much I write, I can't become famous by selling out other people's privacy like you. Doesn't it make you feel better if you think this way?" Ryan continued to rub salt into the wound.

Taylor looked like he wanted to kill Ryan at this moment!
Ryan then said slowly: "And now, you have a chance to solve this matter once and for all, that is to buy this song."

"You want to blackmail me?" Taylor laughed out of anger.

"This is called copyright sale. It's a mutual agreement." Ryan stepped on the accelerator.

·
Half an hour later, Ryan walked out of Taylor's mansion in the wealthy area. Taylor finally agreed to his request, which made him particularly happy.

As soon as I turned the corner, I saw an ambulance with its lights flashing parked not far away, and the personnel were performing emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

As Ryan gradually approached, the medical staff held the AED defibrillator and placed it on both sides of the injured person's chest. As the current passed through instantly, the injured person's chest suddenly jumped.

The familiar strong sense of "déjà vu" came again, almost exactly the same as when he saw Taylor, but the difference was that this time it directly caused Ryan's consciousness to freeze for a moment.

Once, twice, three times, the sharp beeping sound of the defibrillator seemed to have turned into some kind of rhythm, the tremor was gradually intensifying, and Ryan's heart seemed to tremble continuously with the experience.

Then the beeping sound evolved into a continuous chord, and the low drum set was infinitely amplified, combined with the rich sound effects, creating a strong sense of rhythm, like a volcanic eruption, bursting with powerful energy.

A melody consisting of multiple tracks, lasting several minutes, appeared in Ryan's mind.

Then Ryan discovered that this song was not a traditional pop song. There was no vocal singing at all. It only had the vocal bars of "3.2.1 go!" in the pre-chorus part, but it had a prelude, verse, chorus and interlude structure similar to pop music.

Ryan looked at the neon-lit music bar sign not far away, listened to the sound of the acoustic guitar coming from inside, and shook his head. Then he looked at the nightclub on the other side. The strong low-frequency bass sound in his mind was very consistent with this kind of place. At the same time, the name of the song began to emerge in Ryan's consciousness - Tremor.
