Chapter 11, Golden Body
Chapter 11, Golden Body
"Crack~"
A thick stack of autopsy reports was thrown on the table. Professor Ohkouchi was sitting behind him. On the computer screen next to him was a paper on esophageal puncture surgery. The old professor's simple and old face did not show much expression. His deep triangular eyes released an inexplicable meaning: "Sit down, Uesugi-kun."
"Yes." Uesugi Sosetsu sat opposite Professor Okouchi, feeling a little uneasy.
They had just returned from the scene, and after Uesugi Sosetsu's deafening answers, judgments and questioning, the police had nothing to say. But even so, Tanaka Ron did not immediately do what Uesugi Sosetsu said. They said they would apply for an administrative autopsy to find out whether it was a suicide due to love as Uesugi Sosetsu speculated.
The real problem arose when Uesugi Munesetsu questioned the nearby neighbors. After he finished speaking, what he got was not an apology or shame, but angry verbal abuse, especially the one from the woman with the vegetable basket who said, "We are obviously the victims," "We have tolerated them for so long," and "People with Alzheimer's should not cause trouble to others." They all attacked Uesugi Munesetsu until several patrol chiefs and Tanaka Ryuto maintained order and told everyone to disperse.
At this time, Professor Okochi, who had been missing for a long time, appeared and signaled Uesugi Sosetsu to stop. The two of them were taken back to Tokyo Medical and Dental University in a police car.
Uesugi Sosetsu now understood more and more what Professor Okochi meant when he said "this country is sick", and when Professor Okochi asked him to sit down seriously, he himself felt a little uneasy. He was not sure what the old professor thought of him.
Professor Ohkouchi sat up straight, put his hands under the table, put his elbows on the armrests and his hands on his legs, leaned back, and stared at Uesugi Muneyuki for one minute and fifty-five seconds. After Uesugi Muneyuki showed a slightly uneasy expression, he slowly said, "Very exciting autopsy, and very beautiful reasoning. Uesugi-kun, you may really be a genius in this area."
"I don't deserve it. Thank you for the compliment, professor." Uesugi Munen still didn't understand what Professor Okouchi wanted to say. He could only respond to his moves.
"Actually, I'm confused. How did you find out that the deceased committed suicide by taking sleeping pills?" Professor Ohkouchi carefully examined Uesugi Muneyuki's expression. The sunlight coming in from the window behind him made his old, cloudy eyes even sharper. "Also, how did you know about the deceased's living conditions before he died?"
"Well, when I was preparing, I heard the neighbors outside talking about the deceased. Inside the house, I noticed sleeping pills. From the chief, I learned that the deceased had bought and taken a large number of sleeping pills, so I speculate that he died from taking a large amount of sleeping pills." Uesugi Muneyuki's answer was what he had already thought of.
"Not enough!" Professor Okochi closed his eyes and shook his head in disappointment. "This is an inference, not evidence. Uesugi-kun, we are forensic pathologists, not famous detectives! The police like to use orthodox reasoning. As forensic pathologists, are we supposed to be the same as those police? You have also seen the level of the local police stations. They only know how to use their shallow experience and the interpersonal relationships of the deceased to infer the case. You are still young, don't learn from them."
"Yes." Uesugi Sosetsu was scolded again and felt a little depressed. After all, he couldn't tell Professor Ohkouchi that these things were told to him by dead souls. They were not inferences at all, but irrefutable evidence!
"Well, but... I told you, it was indeed a wonderful autopsy." Professor Okochi's reprimand immediately changed the scene. He closed his eyes and continued to lean back: "Although the police station was unwilling to admit defeat and sent the deceased for administrative autopsy, based on my decades of experience, the results of the autopsy are almost the same as what you said, even if they are not completely consistent. Uesugi-kun, if only one-tenth of the forensic doctors in Japan could be like you... I don't understand, I don't understand."
Professor Okouchi sighed, and it was unclear whether he meant that he didn't understand why a genius like Uesugi Munesetsu could become a forensic scientist, or why the status of forensic scientists in Japan was so low, or whether he didn't understand why Uesugi Munesetsu had the confidence to make such a bold judgment.
Just as Uesugi Sosetsu was about to speak, he saw Professor Okouchi open his eyes, and he immediately closed his mouth.
The rules for seniors, juniors, mentors and students in Japanese society are extremely strict. He will have to work in the forensic field in the future. Although Professor Ohkouchi is old-fashioned, serious and stern, and will not bring him any benefits, he is a big shot in the industry after all, with a high status, and there will be no negative impact on him.
"In that case, I will teach you something." Professor Ohkouchi took the report and said, "It is not a good thing to show off one's talents."
"I am willing to listen to the professor's teachings." Uesugi Sosetsu immediately sat up straight, clasped his hands together and stretched them down between his legs, like a primary school student listening to the class attentively.
"There are five police officers present today, namely, Deputy Inspector Tanaka, Chief Ito, Inspector Kuwabara, Inspector Naito and Miss Kousaka. Tanaka and Ito believe it was suicide, Kuwabara and Naito believe it was homicide, and Kousaka... let's not talk about it. Mr. Uesugi, do you know why?" Professor Okouchi said slowly.
"Mr. Tanaka and Mr. Ito are both experienced police officers. They make judgments based on experience, while Mr. Naito comes to his conclusions based on investigation and reasoning?" Uesugi Sosetsu tentatively expressed his thoughts.
"Wrong." Professor Ohkouchi shook his head: "You are totally wrong to think so."
"professor?"
"Tanaka was a non-professional deputy inspector in his forties, and Ito was a patrol chief in his late fifties. To them, it didn't matter what happened, so of course they subconsciously thought it was suicide."
"Kuwabara and Naito are different. They are young and they still have hope of promotion. The credit for investigating the incident may not be of much use to veterans Tanaka and Ito, but it is also an achievement for the younger ones, so they subconsciously think it was murder."
"From this analysis, you can understand why these police officers have different inferences. You are wrong from the beginning."
Uesugi Souyuki was stunned. After thinking about it carefully, it seemed that this was really the case? !
He was wrong from the beginning. The inferences of these policemen had nothing to do with their experience and skills! It was only related to their personal interests!
"The essence of the police is bureaucracy, just like the essence of the doctors and professors in this hospital is also bureaucrats. It just happens that their duties as bureaucrats are to conduct detective patrols or to treat illnesses and save lives." Okochi's deep triangular eyes were filled with disdain and hatred: "But their essence is still bureaucrats. When looking at these bureaucrats, you have to look at their interests and standpoints. Generally speaking, personal interests are greater than factional interests and greater than national interests. You have to remember this."
"Sometimes, solving cases, arresting people, curing diseases and saving lives are consistent with their personal interests, and at this time they are defenders of national interests, but this is not always the case. For example, in the hospital, some cancer patients can receive the highest level of care, while some cancer patients are required to be transferred to other hospitals quickly." Professor Okochi said: "In the future, you will come into contact with all kinds of police officers and people. Don't be reckless and impulsive like you did these two times. The person you met was Tanaka these two times. If it were a key professional from the Metropolitan Police Department, it would not be so easy."
"I know you are very direct. There is nothing wrong with that. I admire you. But there are some things you don't understand. Do you know why I only served as the Dean of Medicine for one term? If you lose your qualification to practice medicine, will you still have the opportunity to speak frankly? The people on the street are ordinary housewives and people who don't work to watch the fun. If it's Dean Ukai or Professor Zaizen, what will happen if you embarrass them?"
Professor Okochi's words made Uesugi Sosetsu fall into deep thought. He understood the meaning of the old professor's last words.
To put it bluntly, veteran grassroots policemen like Tanaka Laodeng have no self-respect at all. After being confronted once or twice and realizing they are wrong, they will just admit defeat. However, if they meet a core elite of the Metropolitan Police Department, things will not be so simple. Their self-respect cannot be easily offended, and it is even more difficult for them to admit their mistakes.
"Thank you, professor, I've got it." Uesugi Sosetsu knew that Okouchi was giving him a lesson called a lesson in life.
"Well, you must feel uncomfortable after being exposed to the stench of a corpse today. Go back and rest early. If you really feel that the stench of the corpse is lingering, you can go and smell the smell of feces." Professor Okouchi signaled Uesugi Muneyuki to leave.
Just as the smell of a corpse is engraved in human genes, the smell of feces is also engraved in human genes. The former means that there is danger nearby, while the latter means that the surrounding area is relatively safe, thus ending the alarm in the genes and freeing people from the stench of the corpse.
This is really interesting trivia.
Uesugi Sosetsu complained in his heart.
————I am the dividing line of interesting and interesting knowledge————
While all his surgical colleagues were still working overtime, Uesugi Sosetsu got off work at around 3:00 p.m. and returned to his apartment in Bunkyo Ward.
He habitually hung his clothes on the hanger, then smelled his sleeves, wondering if they were stained with the stench of corpse.
After smelling for a long time and making sure there was no strange smell, Uesugi Sosetsu took a shower, changed into clean clothes, slightly opened the curtains and looked out the window.
The prosperity of Tokyo and the bookish atmosphere of Bunkyo Ward almost simultaneously poured into this small apartment through the gaps in the curtains. A faint ray of sunlight reflected on Uesugi Sosetsu's face, adding a bit of vitality to his cold and sharp eyes. Following the sun also came Uesugi Sosetsu's raised right hand.
Golden body image - Aigan Mingwang. Aigan Mingwang is a special existence among the esoteric Buddhist deities. He is the Mingwang who resides in the Samadhi of great love and great greed. The image represents "intense love". Folk beliefs believe that Aigan Mingwang can bless marriages. Some say that Aigan Mingwang is the incarnation of Vairocana Tathagata, but there are also claims that Aigan Mingwang is the incarnation of other Bodhisattvas such as Vajra Bodhisattva, and so on.
He regards the desires and troubles of sentient beings as Bodhi wisdom, and hopes that sentient beings can awaken from their desires and finally become enlightened and attain the Tao.
In Japan, people believe that believing in Aizen Myo-o can bless men and women with harmonious marriages and love, and some also believe that Aizen Myo-o can bless them with good luck in exams. The most well-known believer is Naoe Kanetsugu, the "number one retainer in the world" of the Uesugi family. He is well-known for the fact that a big "爱" character is engraved on his head. This "爱" refers to Aizen Myo-o.
It was for this reason that Uesugi Sosetsu recognized this Dharma image at a glance. He saw that the Aizen Myowang displayed in the azure stone was in a wrathful form, with three faces and six arms, his whole body was red, he wore a lion crown on his head, and he was sitting cross-legged on a red lotus.
Each of the six arms holds an object: the upper left hand holds an empty fist, the middle left hand holds a bell, and the lower left hand holds a bow. The upper right hand holds a lotus, the middle right hand holds a five-pointed vajra, and the lower right hand holds an arrow.
So, what's going on?
Why is it Aizen Myōō instead of Kunshamonten? I am not from the Naoes family either!
After showing his Dharma image, Uesugi Munen still didn't understand. He didn't know what to do at the moment. Thinking carefully, the only thing he could do was...
Uesugi Sosetsu did what he said and tried to inject the "courage" he gained from solving cases into the golden body.
The blue light stream represents the energy of the soul driving the body flowing into the golden body, and Aizen Myowang began to change.
The golden body has been activated!
Love and attachment are the polluted hearts of greed and attachment to the six dusts. On the outside, they are jealous of evil like an enemy and are angry about it, but on the inside, they use love and respect to help all living beings attain liberation.
He has righteousness in his body, a pure nature, no difference between impurity and purity, and great wisdom in his words.
Recalling the words of Aizen Myōo, Uesugi Sosetsu felt the blessing of the power of the Dharma.
Through a series of incomprehensible methods, Uesugi Sosetsu activated the golden body of the Dharmakaya - Aizen Myooh. The power of this Myooh will be permanently bestowed on him as a passive protection.
The power of Aizen Myōo can also be activated actively. By providing a huge amount of courage, Uesugi Sosetsu will be able to temporarily transform his golden body into a formation to defeat the enemy. Different golden bodies have their own strengths and weaknesses, some have special talents, some have unique magic, and so on.
Currently, Uesugi Sosetsu only has one golden body of Dharma, which is Aizen Myooh. As for how to find it, how to activate it, and what types of Dharma bodies can be activated, he is almost confused.
Namo San! There is no system or a white-bearded grandfather in the amulet to teach me!
Uesugi Sosetsu instinctively tried to transform into Aizen Myōo, but before the transformation was completed, more than 30% of the spirits he had collected from solving two cases were consumed, and he was so scared that he immediately stopped the transformation.
He had collected the spirits with great difficulty, he couldn't waste them like this!
After coming out of the transformed state, Uesugi Sosetsu was silent for a while, and suddenly laughed.
I said, since I have traveled through time, I must get some benefits. Although there is no system or old man with white beard to guide me, at least he knows what to do now.
My current goals are nothing more than three things: money, courage, and power.
Uesugi Sosetsu stretched out his right hand, the power of the bluestone burst out, and the image of Aizen Myooh was blessed behind him. He clenched his fist and glowed.
I have to be all!
He did what he said and immediately called his brother Uesugi Sadanori who was studying at Waseda University.
Being a cautious person, he would not expose the fact that he has super powers casually, nor would he show off his new abilities. But he must confirm one fact, that is, besides himself, are there other people in this world who have super powers?
He wasn't sure about this, at least he had never heard of it when he was in school or when he occasionally read history books.
The phone was connected, and my brother's steady, heavy and serious voice sounded: "What's the matter?"
Uesugi Sadanori is a taciturn person who is engaged in archaeological research. Although he and Uesugi Munesetsu are not close, they are brothers from the same mother after all. There is no dispute over inheritance rights at present. Uesugi Munesetsu believes that his brother Uesugi Sadanori can still be trusted.
"Brother, can you help me check something?" Uesugi Sosetsu said in a deep voice, "Can you help me check whether there are people with supernatural powers in historical records and ancient books?"
"…………Why do you suddenly ask this?" Uesugi Sadanori pondered for a few seconds and did not give a direct answer.
"I've been studying anatomy recently, and I accidentally saw a document that said it was an autopsy report on a body with supernatural phenomena, but the information at the end was obviously tampered with, so I thought you might know something." Uesugi Sosetsu made up an excuse: "Don't you have a lot of information there?"
"I remember seeing it before...Give me some time and I'll help you check it out." Uesugi Sadanori thought for a while and said, "It may take a few weeks or a few months. When I finish this project, I will apply to access the old historical files. There may be some things that have not been deleted."
"it is good."
A few days later, at the Criminal Division of Otsuka Ward Police Station in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo.
Inspector Kuwahara came to Inspector Tanaka with a shocked look on his face, holding a thick stack of autopsy reports.
"Tanaka-san! It's simply amazing! Look, the autopsy report on the Ishizaka couple, all the details of their death are exactly the same as what Uesugi-san said!"
"Exactly the same? Impossible?" Inspector Tanaka quickly sat up straight in his seat: "I know that Uesugi is very capable, but to say that they are exactly the same is also... almost the same is already very capable..."
He was speechless because the autopsy report was exactly the same as what Uesugi Sosetsu had said in all the details. He even described it in more detail than what could be obtained from the autopsy report!
Who is this kid?
Before Tanaka and Kuwahara could react, someone came outside.
"Tanaka, Kuwahara, the section chief wants you to come over for a moment."
"It's about the young intern forensic pathologist at the Tokyo Medical and Dental University's Forensic Pathology Department, Uesugi Muneyuki."
