Chapter 567 Suzuki Tomoko: Ayako Failed?
Chapter 567 Suzuki Tomoko: Ayako Failed? (1st Update)
Ayako Suzuki stood in front of Emi Shiraishi's door, took a deep breath, and gripped the glass bottle tightly in her hand.
Her heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was going to burst out of her chest, and her palms were sweating so much that the bottle was slippery.
"Boom boom boom——"
She gently knocked on the door.
A few seconds later, the door was opened, and Shiraishi E stood in the doorway, wearing only a loose casual shirt with the collar slightly open, revealing her collarbone.
"Miss Ayako?" Shiraishi E was somewhat surprised that the other party would visit her so late, and raised an eyebrow slightly. "Is there something you need?"
"I...I have something I'd like to discuss with Shiraishi-kun alone." Ayako's voice trembled slightly, and as she thought about what was about to happen, her fingers unconsciously tightened around the hem of her skirt.
Shiraishi E nodded: "Okay, shall we find a lounge?" As he spoke, he prepared to close the door and leave.
Seeing this, Ayako quickly stepped forward and squeezed into the room, saying, "No, no need! Let's talk here! It's not convenient outside!!"
Shiraishi E paused for a moment, realizing what had happened, but didn't say anything more and simply closed the door.
He walked to the liquor cabinet in the room and asked casually, "Would you like something to drink?"
Ayako bit her lower lip, hesitated for a moment, and then asked, "Wine...is that alright?"
Shiraishi E had her back to her, and the corners of her mouth lifted almost imperceptibly: "Of course."
He took a bottle of Bordeaux red wine from the wine cabinet, skillfully opened it, and decanted it, his movements elegant and composed.
Ayako sat on the sofa, her gaze unconsciously following his back, her cheeks slightly flushed.
"It's been a long time since we last met." Shiraishi E poured two glasses of wine, handing one to Ayako, and casually started the conversation.
“It hasn’t been that long…” Ayako took the wine glass, her fingertip accidentally touching his finger, and she pulled back as if she had been electrocuted, “only two months and three days.”
Shiraishi E paused, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes, but she quickly regained her composure and didn't expose him: "How have you been lately?"
“It’s good, and life has returned to normal.” Ayako’s voice gradually relaxed. “I’m currently preparing to make a movie… After all, I researched it for so long in college, and I would feel a bit regretful if I didn’t give it a try.”
"Making a movie? That's a good idea." Shiraishi E swirled her wine glass. "Do you know Yukiko Kudo? She was a very popular actress before, and she recently made a comeback as a director."
"I know her!" Ayako's eyes lit up immediately. "I've seen her interview; she said she prepared for a long time before deciding to film it. I was inspired by her to come up with this idea!"
Shiraishi E followed up, "Would you like to visit her film set? I'm fairly familiar with Ms. Yukiko."
"Really?" Ayako looked up in surprise, then realized she had overreacted and quickly composed herself, but the joy in her eyes was undeniable: "Then I'll have to trouble you, Shiraishi-kun."
"It was no trouble at all." Shiraishi E raised her glass in a gesture of respect.
Ayako quickly picked up her wine glass and clinked glasses with him.
Her wrist twitched "accidentally," spilling some red wine onto her white dress, leaving a dark red stain.
"Ah!" she exclaimed softly, hurriedly putting down her wine glass.
"Are you alright?" Shiraishi E thought the other person's acting wasn't very good, but she still chose to play along, standing up and saying, "I'll go get a towel."
Ayako watched him walk towards the bathroom, her heart pounding—her chance had come!
She shakily pulled the glass bottle from her pocket and frantically tried to unscrew the cap.
The more anxious I got, the less my fingers obeyed, and the bottle cap wouldn't budge.
"Why can't I open it..." She was so anxious that sweat beaded on her forehead. She twisted the cap several times, but it remained firmly in place.
In the bathroom, Shiraishi E watched Ayako's clumsy movements through the half-open door, and couldn't help but facepalm: "This is so unprofessional..."
He deliberately slowed down his movements to give Ayako time.
Finally, as he pretended to look for a towel, he heard a soft "pop" from the bottle cap.
Ayako breathed a sigh of relief, but as she prepared to pour the medicine, her hand trembled—the entire bottle of medicine spilled into Shiraishi E's wine glass with a "splash," and the water level visibly rose.
“It’s over…” Ayako froze on the spot. Before she could react, footsteps could be heard coming from the bathroom.
She hurriedly stuffed the empty bottle back into her pocket, sat up straight, and pretended nothing had happened.
Shiraishi E came out with a towel, pretending not to notice the unusual wine glass: "Here you go." "Thank you..." Ayako took the towel and guiltily wiped her skirt.
Shiraishi E sat back on the sofa, casually picked up a wine glass, and gently swirled it—the liquid in the glass was noticeably more turbid than before.
He sighed inwardly, resigned to continuing to play the blind monk, and then took a sip without changing his expression.
Ayako hesitated, then nervously clenched the towel.
She originally only intended to administer a small amount of the drug, but now... the entire bottle has been swallowed!
Could something... possibly go wrong?
"What's wrong?" Shiraishi asked knowingly.
"N-nothing!" Ayako quickly shook her head, picked up her wine glass and took a big gulp, but choked and coughed.
The medicine works very quickly.
A few minutes later, Shiraishi E's breathing became heavy, and an unnatural flush rose to his cheeks. He tugged at his collar, his voice hoarse: "Strange... I suddenly feel a little hot..."
Seeing this, Ayako immediately stood up, suppressing her excitement: "Shiro-Shiroishi-kun, are you feeling unwell? Let me help you to bed to rest!"
She helped Shiraishi E walk to the bedside, her heart pounding.
But as she waited expectantly for the next development, Shiraishi E simply lay down, closed her eyes, and said, "I'm fine... I just need to rest."
"Huh?" Ayako froze on the spot, looking somewhat puzzled.
This isn't like in the movies! He'd already taken the medicine, and the atmosphere was perfect, so how did he... fall asleep?
She stood by the bed, twisting her fingers helplessly, her mind in turmoil.
Finally, she gritted her teeth, mustered her courage, bent down, and stretched out her hand with trembling hands.

The following morning, in Tomoko Suzuki's bedroom.
Morning light streamed into the bedroom through the sheer curtains, and Tomoko Suzuki slowly opened her eyes, stretching lazily.
The first thing she did was reach for her phone on the bedside table and turn on the screen—there were no unread messages.
"Hmm?" She frowned slightly, swiping her finger to open the chat interface with Ayako. The last message was still from last night.
“This girl…” Tomoko Suzuki snorted softly, then gave a meaningful smile, “Well, it’s her first time after all, she must be exhausted.”
She put down her phone, decided to give her daughter some time to rest, then got up from the velvet quilt and stepped barefoot onto the soft carpet.
Her well-maintained figure was reflected in the full-length mirror, and a silk robe outlined her elegant curves.
Tomoko Suzuki looked at herself in the mirror with satisfaction, then turned and walked towards the dressing room.
Ten minutes later, she changed into a neatly tailored black swimsuit, draped a light scarf over it, and walked towards the manor's indoor heated swimming pool in sandals.
The corridor was quiet and deserted in the early morning, with only the sound of her footsteps echoing softly on the marble floor.
Pushing open the glass door of the swimming pool, a wave of moist steam hits you.
Sunlight streamed through the arched glass dome, casting shimmering light on the water's surface.
Just as Tomoko Suzuki was about to untie her scarf, she suddenly heard a rhythmic splashing sound—someone was swimming back and forth in the pool.
"Who would come so early..." She squinted in confusion, and when she saw the agile figure in the water, her pupils suddenly contracted.
Shiraishi E!
He was swimming in the lane with a standard freestyle stroke, water droplets rolling down his strong back muscles and shimmering in the sunlight.
What shocked Tomoko Suzuki even more was that his movements were swift and efficient, showing no signs of fatigue.
wrong!
Did Ayako fail?
