This is so dishonest!

Chapter 487 Yang Jian, the Number One War God of the Chan Sect!

Chapter 487 Yang Jian—The First War God of the Chan Sect!

Xuanqing led his disciples into seclusion to deduce the Primordial Dao and the Pangu Dao.

The immortals of the Celestial Immortal lineage watched attentively and listened carefully.

They took out the Heavenly Dao Artifact, which represented the Great Luo Dao Fruit or the prototype of the Dao Fruit.

This divine artifact is a specialty of the Celestial Immortal lineage.

Their forms vary and differ from person to person.

Some were celestial books, some were jade tablets, some were axes, some were flags...

These divine artifacts all have one function—to inscribe the laws of the Great Dao.

The Celestial Venerable personally performed the Dharma, bestowing abundant blessings, yet not every immortal could comprehend it.

Everyone can take notes from their own perspective and keep them to reflect on later.

Even immortals can exchange "notebooks" to help each other improve.

Thus, under Xuan Qing's dedicated tutelage, the cultivators of the Celestial Immortal lineage made rapid progress in their strength.

at the same time.

Lord Yu Chen continuously sent his disciples into the mortal world to help Shennong govern the human realm.

Although the Jie Sect often referred to itself as the "Cult of Calamities," its disciples frequently traveled through the heavens, venturing into calamities in search of a breakthrough in the Great Dao.

However, these disciples were just like Yu Chen.

Entering the tribulation is merely a means for them to cultivate, not their goal.

Despite facing calamity, our hearts yearn for dawn.

This is another expression of the teachings of the Jiejiao sect.

This is also the great truth that Lord Yu Chen has always practiced.

Today, humanity is flourishing, which represents an endless dawn.

The disciples of the Jie Sect entering the world at this time to assist Shennong and help all living beings, is this not also a form of cultivation?
The "sliver of hope" pursued by the Jie Sect was not merely for their own benefit.

It is also for the sake of more lives that need a "lifeline".

"It is good to cultivate oneself in the human world."

Yu Chen Daojun arrived at the summit of Buzhou Mountain and looked down upon the human realm.

He saw the disciples of the Jie Sect running around, and he also saw one seed of the Great Dao after another sprouting.

A pleased smile graced his face.

"My disciples of the Jie Sect are capable of navigating great calamities, governing the world, and transmitting the Great Dao!"

"That's enough for me!"

"Hahaha!"

While Xuanqing and Yuchen were busy, two major events recently occurred in the Heavenly Realm.

These two major events, like thunderclaps from a clear sky, stirred up ripples in every corner of the world.

Firstly, the Heavenly Emperor Haotian personally descended the Nine Heavens Palace.

He condescended to travel to West Kunlun with the rites befitting a celestial emperor, and invited the equally ancient and revered Queen Mother of the West.

The Heavenly Emperor invited her to enter the Heavenly Court to manage Yin and Yang with him and to take charge of the register of female immortals throughout the land.

The celestial realm thus gained another top-tier powerhouse.

This powerful being is also an ancient being who governs the Heavenly Punishment and the Five Punishments.

Since arriving in the Heavenly Court, Yaochi has not only been in charge of female immortals, but also of the laws and punishments of Heaven.

In particular, Haotian also invited a goddess who governs the law to heaven—the senior sister of the Demonic Sect, [Nü Qing].

She became the chief judicial deity of the heavens.

After these two deities took office in Heaven, the Heavenly Rules became increasingly strict, and the leisurely days of the immortals and gods seemed to be gone forever.

"If you can't slack off in the government office, what's the difference between you and a salted fish without dreams?" the Tiandao committee members lamented.

They began to reminisce about the glory days of the Holy Heavenly Emperor and the Divine Heavenly Emperor.

Especially during the reign of the Holy Heavenly Emperor.

The Heavenly Emperor himself is the number one slacker.

He certainly wouldn't think there's anything wrong with the people below him slacking off.

Xuanqing would only advise the saints on how to maintain work quality while effectively slacking off.

"Don't be so sentimental, everyone. We can easily go home after we finish all this work, right?" Kunpeng said with a smile, not feeling uncomfortable at all.

I felt like I was living the life of a fish in water.

Shouldn't the government office be a place for hard work, and shouldn't the gods be concerned about the world?
The protagonist of the second story is none other than the only younger sister of the Heavenly Emperor Haotian, the Fairy Yunhua, who is known as the Pearl of Heaven.

This princess, of incomparably noble status, actually married in the human realm and had children.

The moment the news reached the Heavenly Court, the air in the entire Heavenly Emperor's Palace seemed to freeze into crystal.

Haotian was enraged.

The oppressive aura emanating from the ruler of the Three Realms shrouded the entire Heavenly Palace in a chilling, ominous cloud.

He sat on that supreme throne, his eyes burning with golden divine fire, his face as calm as still water, revealing not a trace of emotion, yet every immortal and god could feel the earth-shattering rage beneath that calm.

"Order True Lord Tianpeng to lead 80,000 Heavenly River Navy troops to descend to the mortal realm immediately."

"Set up eighteen nets to trap Yunhua and bring her back to the Heavenly Court!"

This decree, like a black lightning bolt, instantly shattered the tranquility of the Heavenly River Water Palace.

The true home of Tianpeng Zhenjun is actually the Big Dipper constellation.

Currently in the Big Dipper Celestial Realm, apart from the [Ziwei Emperor] who has been absent for a long time, the four True Lords Tianpeng, Tianyou, Tianyou, and Yisheng generally have the final say.

However, Emperor Zulong believed that Tianpeng was destined to join the navy he had built, so he appointed him as the Marshal of the Tianhe Navy.

They are responsible for maintaining order on the StarNet on a daily basis.

In other words, the Tianhe Navy is actually a cyberspace force.

Tianpeng was the commander of this army.

Therefore, Tianpeng lived a very leisurely life.

As long as the Heavenly Court doesn't wage war against other countries, Tianpeng will come to the navy to slack off.

At this moment, the marshal who commanded the Tianhe Navy and was known for his magnanimity and laziness was holding a purple-gold wine gourd and leaning back on his marshal's throne.

His face was flushed slightly from being tipsy, and his eyes were dreamy; he was clearly enjoying a rare moment of leisure.

The celestial official who delivered the decree rushed into the water palace, stumbling and crawling, and read out the Heavenly Emperor's edict.

The drunkenness on Tianpeng Zhenjun's face vanished without a trace in an instant.

The purple-gold wine gourd in his hand fell to the ground with a clang, spilling amber-colored nectar all over the ground and emitting an intoxicating fragrance, but he was completely unaware of it.

"Should we send our online army to capture the Princess?"

Tianpeng Zhenjun stood up, his burly figure casting a long shadow in the Water Palace. As he paced back and forth, he rubbed his chin with his thick fingers, his brows furrowed into a knot.

He thought about it carefully, considering every aspect of the matter.

Their Tianhe Navy, despite its name, is a powerful and prestigious force, commanding troops across the vast and boundless Milky Way.

But in reality, the primary responsibility is to maintain the order of that enormous star network and occasionally clean up any cosmic behemoths that appear out of nowhere.

To put it simply, they are a group of celestial network order maintainers and cleaners.

They should never be tasked with catching wanted criminals.

His Majesty the Heavenly Emperor wants to capture his own younger sister, the Princess. How many talented and extraordinary people are there in the Heavenly Court?
In the celestial realm of the Big Dipper, countless malevolent stars reside.

The True Martial Demon-Subduing Heavenly Venerable has countless divine generals under his command, who vanquish all demons and evil spirits under heaven.

Any team you randomly pick is far more professional than his group of "sailors" who only know how to practice formations in the Milky Way.

The more Tianpeng Zhenjun thought about it, the more uneasy he felt, and a fine layer of cold sweat seeped out from his back.

This job is clearly a hot potato, a huge pit of fire.

To arrest or not to arrest?

If they catch her, they'll have offended the princess terribly. After the Heavenly Emperor's anger subsides, he might take their sibling bond into consideration. In that case, wouldn't the one who did it become the villain who's disliked by both sides?
If they can't be caught, that would be an even greater crime.

Disobeying the Heavenly Emperor's decree, I'm afraid I'll have to go to the God of Justice for a divine punishment.

After much thought, Tianpeng Zhenjun decided that he needed to ask someone about this matter.

A glint of light flashed in his eyes, and he immediately had an idea.

He decided to go to the Tushita Palace to ask Laozi for clarification.

After Haotian returned to his position, Laozi also came to the Heavenly Court.

He usually stayed out of worldly affairs, focusing only on alchemy and enlightenment, but everyone in the Heavenly Court, from the Heavenly Emperor down to the lesser immortals, knew that he was the truly unfathomable being.

Whether intentionally or unintentionally, Tianpeng would visit the Tushita Palace.

After helping Laozi taste some strange and unusual elixirs, he became a regular visitor to the Tushita Palace.

At this critical moment, Tianpeng Zhenjun dared not delay for a moment. He immediately rode on a cloud, transformed into a streak of light, and headed straight for the Tushita Palace.

~~~~
Outside the Tushita Palace, celestial energy swirls, purple mist rises, and the fragrance of elixir fills the air, refreshing the soul.
When the two gatekeepers, Golden Horn and Silver Horn, saw that it was True Lord Tianpeng, they did not stop him, but simply smiled and bowed.
Tianpeng was in no mood to joke with them at the moment. He simply nodded hastily and strode into the main hall.
"Disciple Tianpeng greets Laozi, please teach me!" As soon as Tianpeng saw the old man sitting cross-legged on the futon, with white hair and beard and an ancient face, he immediately put away all his casualness and unruliness and respectfully bowed deeply.
Why is the Marshal in such a panic today?
Laozi did not open his eyes, but a faint smile played on his lips, and his voice was calm and distant, as if it came from the ages.
He sat upright on the futon, his body exuding Daoist energy, his expression serene as if nothing in the world could move him.
"Tianpeng has encountered an immense difficulty today, in which life and death, fortune and misfortune are all at stake. I am truly terrified. I beg Laozi to have mercy and guide me through this predicament."
Tianpeng raised his head, his face full of anxiety and earnestness.
Lao Jun slowly opened his eyes, which seemed to contain the entire universe and stars, and calmly gazed at Tian Peng.
"How would you like me to teach you?"
His voice remained calm and unhurried, as if he already knew Tianpeng's purpose.
Tianpeng hurriedly asked, "May I ask, Lord Laozi, His Majesty has ordered me to descend to the mortal realm to capture the Princess. Is this a blessing or a curse for me?"
He asked very directly because he knew that in front of Laozi, any roundabout behavior would be foolish.
After listening, Lao Jun lowered his eyelids slightly and gently made a few calculations on his knee with his slender fingers.
After a moment, he slowly spoke, uttering a profound and mysterious statement.
"Good fortune may be the foundation of misfortune, and misfortune may be the harbinger of good fortune."
Upon hearing this, Tianpeng Zhenjun froze on the spot.
He repeated it blankly, carefully pondering the meaning of each word.
Fortune and misfortune are interdependent and can transform into each other.
Tianpeng Zhenjun's eyes began to dart around, and countless thoughts rushed into his mind.
Is it a blessing or a curse?
That means that if you do this job well, there will be huge benefits.
If it's done poorly, there will be huge consequences.
The key lies in how to "do it".
So this time, can I just turn a blind eye?
He instantly understood the key to it.
The Heavenly Emperor's decree must be obeyed. On the surface, it must be done perfectly and with great fanfare, so that the Three Realms know that he, Tianpeng, is faithfully carrying out the order.
But the eldest princess must also have a way out.
After all, she was the Heavenly Emperor's sister, and her children were the Heavenly Emperor's nephews.
Blood is thicker than water; this bond can never be severed.
Focus on the important and let go of the trivial. Bring back the main target, Fairy Yunhua, to report back. As for her children... well, they can "accidentally" escape in the chaos.
Isn't this exactly the specialty of us celestial gods—focusing on the primary contradiction, resolving the secondary contradiction, and then continuing to slack off and live a carefree life?
Having figured this out, Tianpeng Zhenjun felt a sudden sense of clarity, and the huge weight in his heart was lifted off his feet.
His signature honest smile returned to his face, and he bowed deeply to Laozi once again.
"Thank you for your enlightenment, Laozi! I understand now!"
Seeing his enlightened expression, Laozi smiled approvingly and nodded in satisfaction.
Children can be taught.
With a flick of his whisk, Laozi moved with graceful ease, imbued with boundless Daoist wisdom.
"boom!"
Not far away, the lid of the huge Bagua furnace opened with a bang, and the Six Ding and Six Jia divine fires inside burned fiercely, as bright as rainbows. The towering flames illuminated the entire Tushita Palace, making it radiant and full of auspicious energy.
Amidst the blazing flames, a divine weapon rose and fell in rhythm with the flames, radiating a breathtakingly precious light.
Laozi stretched out his finger and pointed it at the divine weapon from afar.
The divine weapon emitted a clear, melodious hum, then transformed into a golden light, flew out of the furnace, and hovered steadily in front of Tianpeng Zhenjun.
Upon closer inspection, Tianpeng saw that it was a strangely shaped weapon.
Its handle is jet black, its head is shiny, its nine teeth are sharp and gleaming, and one look is enough to tell that it is no ordinary product.
Laozi slowly said, "This treasure is called: Supreme Treasure Inlaid Gold Pad."
His voice carried a hint of solemnity.
"This was forged by me personally using divine ice iron, and with the help of the Six Ding and Six Jia, it took a lot of effort to complete."
"Its length and size can be adjusted at will, and it can determine the fate of the world. When it is waved left and right, it secretly conforms to the principles of Yin and Yang, and can separate the sun and the moon."
Lao Jun's gaze fell on Tian Peng, and he continued, "Now that you have taken on the mission of the Heavenly Emperor, you represent the majesty of the Heavenly Court. You must not be negligent, and you must not go empty-handed."
"Take this item and use it for self-defense and to fight enemies. Go down to the mortal realm as soon as possible."
Tianpeng Zhenjun was overjoyed. The happiness came so suddenly that he was at a loss for what to do.
He thought that receiving a few words of guidance from Laozi would be an immense blessing, but he never expected that Laozi would bestow such a precious treasure upon him!
He immediately knelt down again, his voice trembling with excitement.
"What merit do I have to receive such a generous gift from Laozi! Thank you, Laozi! Thank you, Laozi!"
He repeatedly bowed in gratitude to express his endless thanks.
Laozi simply smiled slightly, flicked his whisk again, and a gentle force lifted Tianpeng up.
Tianpeng then trembled as he reached out his hands and respectfully accepted the precious gold-plated rake.
Upon acquiring the divine weapon, a heavy, weighty texture and a cool touch washed over me, as if I were holding an entire galaxy in my hands.
With a thought, the palladium expanded and contracted in accordance with his will, and a feeling of blood connection arose spontaneously.
Tianpeng, filled with boundless pride, could no longer contain himself and began to dance wildly and expansively in the main hall of the Tushita Palace.
He moved with the force of a tiger, his halberd flashing, sometimes like a cunning snake emerging from its hole, ruthless and vicious, sometimes like a tiger descending a mountain, unstoppable.
The precious golden rake in his hands seemed to come alive, causing the space to tremble slightly with every move and every strike, radiating precious light.
"Perfect for handing over! It really is a perfect handy treasure!"
After Tianpeng finished his dance, he hoisted the inlaid gold rake onto his shoulder, his face glowing with joy.
He thanked Laozi profusely, using almost every word of praise he knew.
Looking at his pathetic state, Lao Jun finally couldn't help but laugh and scold him as a "fool".
Immediately, he turned to the Golden Horn and Silver Horn who were standing beside him and ordered, "Go and fetch the gourd of Nine-Turn Great Rejuvenation Pill that I just refined, and give it to the Marshal."
Golden Horn and Silver Horn responded and left. A moment later, they returned carrying a purple-gold-red gourd, which they respectfully handed to Tianpeng.
Lao Jun then waved his hand impatiently, as if shooing away flies.
"Alright, alright, the treasure has been given, and the elixir has been delivered. Stop making a racket here and hurry up and get on with your business!"
Having said that, he closed his eyes, entered meditation again, and ignored him.
Having obtained both the divine weapon and the elixir, Tianpeng was in high spirits and full of vigor.
He carefully put away the gold-plated rake and the gourd of elixirs, bowed three times to Laozi's back, and then left the Tushita Palace satisfied.
Instead of immediately mustering his troops, he first went to Nantianmen.
He bid a brief farewell to his good brother Sha Xin, who had been promoted to the rank of Curtain-Raising General for his meritorious service.
Sha Xin stood ramrod straight beneath the Heavenly Gate, his face resolute. After listening to Tian Peng's story, he simply patted him heavily on the shoulder and said in a deep voice, "Brother, be careful in everything you do."
Tianpeng grinned, revealing a set of white teeth: "Don't worry, I know what I'm doing."
After bidding farewell to his friends, Tianpeng returned to the Heavenly River Water Palace to formally convene his troops.
Under his command, the 80,000-strong Tianhe Navy quickly assembled.
Warships swept across the sky, banners waving, and marched mightily toward the Guanjiang Estuary in the mortal realm.
~~~~
Jade Purity Realm, Pure and Subtle Heaven.

The two true forms coalesced once more.

Just then, Xuanqing called out to his disciples.

"Master, is there something we did wrong?" the disciples asked humbly.

"No and no."

Xuan Qing smiled and said, "You may continue. There is something that requires Yu Ding to make a trip."

The jade tripod immediately materialized.

"What are your orders, Master?"

Xuanqing said, "You have a disciple who is in danger. Take him back to Jade Void Palace."

"My disciple?"

Upon hearing this, Master Yuding was taken aback at first, then calculated with his fingers and laughed loudly, "This disciple will set off immediately!"

"We will definitely bring back our Chan Sect's War God."

Guang Chengzi, standing to the side, smiled and reminded him, "Junior brother, we in the Chan Sect persuade people with reason, so we can't act recklessly!"

Yu Ding nodded: "Thank you for reminding me, Senior Brother. I understand."

Having said that, Master Yuding transformed into a sword beam and departed.
