This is so dishonest!
Chapter 476 Qilin Cliff and Xuanqing; The Birth of Fuxi
Chapter 476 Qilin Cliff and Xuanqing; The Birth of Fuxi
The river of time flows quietly on.
Here there is no day or night, no seasons, only eternal, unchanging silvery-white waves formed from countless fragments of time.
Every wave has the potential to be the birth of a world.
Each tide may mark the end of an era.
In this unchanging silvery white expanse, a small, jet-black boat sways gently with the waves.
It seemed to be the only dark color in this bright ocean, appearing both lonely and perfectly harmonious.
Three slender yet strong fishing rods are lined up at the bow of the boat, their lines dangling into the unfathomable sea of time.
A fluffy little squirrel is sitting between two figures, one black and one white.
Its posture was incredibly focused, its clear, amber eyes fixed intently on its own hook, as if afraid of missing the slightest movement.
"Tianzun."
The little squirrel's mouth was busy; while staring at the fishhook, it casually asked a question.
"What brings you here to stroll through the River of Time and Space?"
The figure dressed in black beside him sat quietly, his demeanor as steady as a mountain and as unfathomable as an abyss.
Upon hearing this, the figure in black slowly spoke, his voice deep and magnetic.
"I noticed some unusual fluctuations, so I came to check it out."
Is there anything unusual?
The little squirrel, holding its little fishing rod, came to its senses a little.
It peered around, looking left and right in the vast river of time and space, trying to find the anomaly that the Celestial Venerable had mentioned.
"Strange, how come I didn't find anything?"
"some."
Beside him, the figure dressed in a pure white divine robe spoke softly with a gentle smile on his face.
His eyes, which seemed to hold the secrets of time and space, gazed at the little squirrel.
"Didn't you receive that summons from the [God of Balance] before?"
"The unusual fluctuations in this river of time and space originated from him."
"balanced?"
Upon hearing this name, the little squirrel's amber eyes widened instantly.
It instinctively reached into its bushy, colorful tail and pulled out a plump pine cone, then crunched it up and started gnawing on it.
"My God Pangu, that old fellow, what big thing is he planning to do now?"
Its tone was filled with vigilance and a hint of excitement.
"Yes."
The white-clad "ferryman" nodded slightly, confirming its guess.
"However, there's no need to worry, everything is still under control."
His tone was calm and confident, as if all the storms were nothing more than ripples in a pond in his eyes.
"We have actually been secretly observing all their actions."
"Oh, you're observing, then it's alright."
Upon hearing this, the little squirrel breathed a long sigh of relief, and its whole body relaxed.
It pulled out an even bigger pine cone from its tail and, while keeping its eyes glued to its fishing rod, happily munched on it.
"Ferryman, I'm telling you this now."
The little squirrel mumbled something while chewing on a pine cone.
"Right now, I'm just a ferryman intern on the river of time and space."
"I haven't been officially appointed yet, so I can't, and I'm not capable of, shouldering the heavy responsibility of suppressing the boundless spacetime."
It pointed with its fishing rod to the surging waves of time in the distance, and emphasized with a serious expression:
“In the days to come, no matter how much trouble those demons cause, you absolutely cannot let me take the blame alone.”
"Otherwise, I'm quitting!"
Upon hearing this, the white-clad "Ferryman" had a slightly amused expression on his face and turned to look at the seemingly timid but actually incredibly clever little squirrel.
He slowly opened his mouth and asked:
"As one of the three thousand Chaos Demon Gods in the past, whether it was the cunning Hongjun, the carefree Yangmei, or the raging demonic flames of Luohou."
"Or perhaps those destruction, order, and reincarnation that have already fallen, or even those other demon gods who are still wandering in the myriad worlds."
“They are all masters of creating chaos, always eager to stir up trouble.”
"How come you've become so complacent and lack ambition?"
The ferryman's tone carried a hint of gentle persuasion.
"You must understand that without a strong heart that dares to face all difficulties, you can never become a qualified time-space ferryman."
"You must understand that our mission is to suppress this long river of time and protect the peace of countless worlds. We cannot back down when faced with a crisis."
"I don't care, I don't care."
The little squirrel shook its head vigorously, its fluffy tail swishing back and forth, indicating that it would absolutely not be fooled.
What's so good about doing silly things?
It retorted confidently.
"Masters are found in the mortal world, but their mistakes are made in the underworld."
"Those gods you just mentioned, in this era, which one of them didn't die once, or have already been completely transformed into nourishment for the Primordial True Realm?"
"Besides, right now, I'm just a simple and kind little squirrel who likes to fish quietly on the river of time."
It puffed out its little chest and, in an extremely confident tone, uttered the most cowardly words.
"I won't hit fish unless they hit me; if they do hit me, I will never give them the chance!"
Anyway, I, the little mouse, will absolutely not take the blame!
Xuan Qing, dressed in black, listened to the conversation between the man and the rat and finally couldn't help but shake his head and chuckle.
"never mind."
He said to the ferryman.
"Don't make things difficult for it anymore."
The ferryman had no choice but to give up and stop trying to fool the stubborn little squirrel.
Plop~~
Just then, Xuan Qing, who had been quietly fishing, suddenly sank his seemingly ordinary fishing rod downwards.
A tremendous force emanated from the deep sea of time.
Wow! What good stuff has taken the bait?
Upon seeing this, the little squirrel immediately perked up, forgetting to chew the pine cone in its mouth, its eyes wide open, staring intently at Xuanqing's fishing rod.
Beneath the silvery-white river water, an unimaginably huge shadow was slowly rising.
The oppressive feeling brought by the shadow even caused a slight distortion in the surrounding space and time.
The little squirrel's mouth was wide enough to fit an egg, and it exclaimed in surprise:
"My God! Are there fish this big in this river of time and space?"
Hua Hua Hua~~
The water surged violently, and ripples imbued with the laws of time spread out in all directions.
Xuan Qing, however, remained as steady as a mountain. He gripped the fishing rod firmly with both hands and slowly reeled in the line.
The enormous shadow finally began to emerge from the water.
"This...this is...a mountain?"
The little squirrel looked at the enormous mountain shrouded in auspicious light, rubbed its eyes hard, and thought it was seeing things.
"It really is!"
The ferryman also looked carefully. He pointed to a cliff face on the huge mountain that was as smooth as if it had been cut by a knife, and a look of surprise and amusement appeared on his face.
"This... isn't this the ancestral home of the Qilin clan—Qilin Sacred Cliff?"
He turned to look at Xuan Qing, his tone full of confusion.
"My lord, how did you manage to fish it up?"
Xuan Qing looked at the Qilin Sacred Cliff, which he had forcibly fished out of the river of time, and fell silent for a moment.
He remembered that this Qilin Sacred Cliff should be wandering endlessly through the myriad worlds.
How come I was able to fish it out so accurately by just casting a line into the river of time and space on a whim today?
"never mind."
Xuanqing could only smile helplessly in the end.
"Since we caught it, it must be fate!"
Within that magnificent sacred cliff, countless worlds, large and small, shone brightly like stars.
In those vibrant worlds, little Qilins of all shapes and sizes, lively and carefree, are frolicking around.
Suddenly, they felt that their wandering and drifting, which had lasted for countless years, seemed to have stopped at this moment.
The little Qilins curiously ran to ask the elders of their clan.
"Elder, Elder, have we arrived at the next stop?"
However, unlike their excitement, the elders of the Qilin clan all looked solemnly at the three unfathomable figures outside.
At the same time, a thought came to their minds.
"This is terrible!"
Huaxu Country.
Spring goes and autumn comes, and the seasons change.
The queen, Huaxu, was already twelve months pregnant.
This day was March 18th, a day of gentle spring sunshine and bright sunshine.
Before the first rays of sunlight fell, the entire Chengji Plain was already enveloped in a layer of magnificent, seven-colored rosy light.
This is a blessing bestowed by the Holy Mother Nuwa of the human race from the Nuwa Palace beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens.
Immediately afterwards, three more layers of flawless celestial light descended from the heavens, peaceful and sacred.
That was the goodwill of the Celestial Venerable of the Mysterious Gate.
There are also prayers offered by the two Western saints.
For a time, strange phenomena appeared all over the sky above the entire Huaxu Kingdom.
A magnificent and extraordinary Qilin appeared out of nowhere, riding on auspicious clouds.
Colorful divine birds circled and soared around the capital.
Furthermore, a series of high-pitched and majestic dragon roars echoed from the depths of the clouds.
Auspicious omens descend from the heavens, and golden lotuses spring forth from the earth.
In the ancestral land of humanity, the Ziyi clan, who held power over the human world, was quietly observing the celestial phenomena.
Upon seeing this, she quickly did some calculations with her fingers, and a joyful smile immediately appeared on her face.
"Excellent! Excellent! The future ruler of our human race has been born!"
She stood up excitedly and instructed the people around her, "Quickly, send an envoy immediately... But no, for such an important matter, we should go ourselves."
After saying this, Ziyi Shi, along with Suiren Shi and Youchao Shi, the three ancestors of the human race, transformed into three divine rainbows and sped off towards the Huaxu Kingdom.
At that very moment, in the land of Huaxu, a golden light fell to the ground, and a loud cry of a newborn baby announced the official birth of Fuxi.
He was born with extraordinary features: a human head and a dragon's body, with a cinnabar dot between his eyebrows, containing boundless wisdom and divinity.
A divine bird circling in the sky slowly descended, carrying an ancient jade slip in its beak, and gently placed it beside the baby.
The dragon in the clouds lowered its enormous head and spat out a golden seal symbolizing supreme authority.
The birth of Fuxi destined him to be extraordinary from the very beginning.
He changed almost daily; he could speak in three months, walk in five months, and by July his teeth and hair had grown in.
The three ancestors of the human race were delighted to see it.
They chose to stay in Huaxu Kingdom and personally teach Fuxi.
From a young age, Fuxi displayed extraordinary wisdom and possessed an innate keen insight into the laws governing the operation of heaven and earth.
He often sat alone on a high hill, gazing at the starry sky, sometimes for an entire day.
He would observe the rising and setting of the sun and moon, and the movement of the stars.
He would record the changes in wind, rain, thunder, and lightning, and the course of mountains and rivers.
He used the most primitive pebbles and twigs to draw all sorts of mysterious symbols on the ground, trying to decipher the ultimate mystery of this world.
The people of Huaxu Kingdom loved him dearly.
And Fuxi never failed the expectations of his people.
He even created the prototype of human writing and calendar based on the changes of yin and yang in the universe.
He is like a bright morning star, illuminating the path of human civilization's progress.
~~~~~
Above the nine heavens, lies the Haotian Palace.
This is a separate residence built for the newly appointed Heavenly Emperor Haotian.
His Daoist incarnation—the Jade Emperor Daoist—is diligently processing memorials from the Three Realms at the Heavenly Emperor's desk in the Heavenly Emperor's Palace.
Meanwhile, his true form leisurely stayed in the Haotian Palace, his gaze piercing through layers of clouds, observing the scenes of the mortal realm with great interest.
When Haotian saw the divine son Fuxi, born in the Huaxu Kingdom, growing at an astonishing speed and displaying unparalleled wisdom and leadership, a smile appeared on his face.
He knew that the era belonging to the human race was about to officially begin.
And Fuxi was the key to unlocking this great era.
"The time is almost right."
Haotian muttered something to himself.
He called out softly to the void.
"Heavenly Master."
Before he finished speaking, a beam of azure light appeared in the hall.
As the light faded, the slender yet majestic figure of the Kunpeng was revealed.
He bowed deeply to Haotian.
"His Majesty."
Haotian slowly sat up straight from the imperial throne and beckoned with his hand.
Two radiant, innate spiritual treasures, imbued with the boundless principles of heaven and earth, appeared out of thin air in his palm.
A jade-shaped object with swirling stars on it, seemingly encompassing the entire universe, is the [Hetu].
Another object, resembling a tortoise shell and covered with mysterious and unfathomable patterns, seems to record the ultimate principles of heaven and earth; this is the Luoshu.
"Heavenly Master."
Haotian's voice echoed in the vast and majestic hall.
"The Human Emperor Fuxi has already descended to earth, but in order to expound the Great Dao and open the wisdom of all people, he still lacks two key treasures for proving the Dao."
He gently pushed the Hetu Luoshu in his hand forward.
The two magical treasures then slowly floated to Kunpeng's front.
"I command you to descend to the mortal realm immediately and present this Hetu and Luoshu to Fuxi."
"Help him achieve his goal of perfecting his merits as soon as possible, so as to establish the foundation for the human race for all eternity."
Kunpeng looked at the two spiritual treasures before him and suddenly understood.
After the emperor and empress gave this item to him, Kunpeng also took the opportunity to comprehend the great Dao within it.
At that time, he felt that this thing was not meant for him, and that there was another wise master for it.
Therefore, after Haotian returned, Kunpeng did not intend to occupy the Hetu Luoshu, but chose to return it directly.
Unexpectedly, I was wrong.
"Sir, obey the order."
After saying that, he carefully put away the Hetu Luoshu, and his figure turned into a wisp of green smoke and disappeared into the Haotian Palace.
However, after leaving the celestial realm, Kunpeng did not go directly to the Huaxu Kingdom in the human world.
He stood atop the clouds, gazing down at the vibrant land below, lost in thought.
"His Majesty's intention is for me to directly deliver this treasure to Fuxi."
"But... the path of the Human Emperor lies in the word 'enlightenment'."
"If I were to deliver such a treasure directly to him, it would certainly save a lot of trouble, but it would also miss the divine sign of auspiciousness and the emperor's self-satisfaction."
A gleam of wisdom shone in the eyes of the Kunpeng.
"In this way, Fuxi's merits would not be truly complete."
"No, no, that's not right."
He shook his head slightly.
"This matter needs to be handled more skillfully in order to fulfill His Majesty's good intentions and also to ensure the future Emperor's path is fulfilled."
With this in mind, Kunpeng had already made up his mind.
He descended from the clouds and arrived at the banks of the Yellow River, the mother river that nurtured the people of Huaxu Kingdom.
He looked at the surging river and smiled slightly.
He then gently tossed the [River Diagram] in his hand.
The jade-shaped magical artifact spun in the air and instantly transformed into a magnificent dragon-horse.
This dragon-horse was eight feet five inches tall, with a long neck, round eyes, and its body was covered with magnificent dragon scales. When it ran, it left no trace on the water, like a flowing rainbow.
Then, Kunpeng threw the Luoshu into the Luo River, a tributary of the Yellow River.
The tortoise-shell-shaped magical artifact, upon falling into the water, immediately transformed into a giant white divine tortoise.
This divine tortoise is nine feet in circumference, and on its shell, sixty-five mysterious red characters naturally formed, filled with profound Taoist charm.
Having done all this, Kunpeng's figure quietly disappeared, leaving only a divine thought to silently observe everything.
He did not directly deliver the two magical treasures to Fuxi.
Instead, they chose a way that was more in line with the workings of Heaven, transforming them into a dragon-horse and a white tortoise, waiting for the chosen human emperor to personally search for and discover them.
Because he knew that some opportunities must be revealed by the destined person in order to show their full value.
