This is so dishonest!
Chapter 401 The Celestial Master Seeks the Dao, the Taiwei Yuan Assembly Reopens!
Chapter 401 The Celestial Master Seeks the Dao, the Taiwei Yuan Assembly Reopens!
Alas, among the innate divine beings, none are simple!
Taiyi sighed inwardly.
He knew that getting the Queen Mother of the West to willingly assume the position of "leader of the divine sect" would probably be even more difficult than getting her to voluntarily give up her rule over West Kunlun.
Therefore, Taiyi stopped insisting.
Next, he had a “friendly and constructive” greeting with Yaochi.
It also subtly hinted that "the positions of the future Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors of the Divine Race are vacant, and all virtuous and talented individuals are welcome to actively strive for them."
Then, Taiyi took his leave.
On his way back to Heaven, he seriously considered the possibility of rescuing Emperor Donghua.
To cooperate with Emperor Donghua, two things need to be considered: first, reviving him; and second, confirming that he is truly willing to cooperate, otherwise all our efforts will be in vain.
During the great battle at Buzhou Mountain, Emperor Donghua perished at the hands of the Demonic Sect leader, the Void Emperor Daoist.
However, it cannot be denied that this person was indeed a man of great talent and ambition, and he was very responsible in his position as the Immortal Emperor. He could be a candidate for the leader of the Divine Cult or one of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors of the Divine Race.
"It seems we need to hold a Taiwei Conference. Let's first ask Fellow Daoist Jingyao for help and see if we can bring Donghua back."
After much deliberation, Taiyi decided to help Donghua out.
He did not go to see Laozi.
After all, when it comes to rescuing people, the Taiwei Gods are all professionals.
"Besides, how can Laozi be as reliable as our Taiwei Yuan's [Zi Qi Jing Yao Shang Zun]?"
Of course, Taiyi also knew in his heart that the position of "leader" would probably be difficult to settle in the short term.
The most urgent task is to steadily advance the great undertaking of "unifying the written language."
After all, this is the supreme undertaking that can truly benefit all beings, build consensus, and lay a solid foundation for the establishment of the "cult of gods" and the "god race."
~~~~~
On the other side, Kunpeng, who had long been entrusted with the important task of "unifying the written language," had already taken swift and decisive action.
Kunpeng knew that this matter was not only about His Majesty the Heavenly Emperor's trust and entrustment, but also a great deed that would go down in history and bring immeasurable merit.
If he can handle it well, his future status in the Heavenly Court and his reputation throughout the entire prehistoric world will be greatly enhanced.
By then, my title of "Celestial Master" will be even more truly fitting!
Will my Pengzhiwei BBQ restaurant still lack business?
[Hmph, just you wait, everything I've lost will return to me in double measure!]
As the chief instructor of basic martial arts for the celestial soldiers and generals and newly promoted immortals and gods, and as the introductory lecturer for the cultivation of the Great Dao, Kunpeng has gone far in educating people about the Great Dao.
If he succeeds in unifying the written language, he will definitely be able to make further progress on the path to enlightenment!
"If I could unify the written language after birth and make all generations use the language I created, could I use the path of literature to become a saint, break through the Taiyi Daluo realm, and become a Hunyuan Sect Master?"
Thinking of this, Kunpeng's eyes grew brighter and brighter.
Without the slightest hesitation or slackness, he immediately took on this heavy responsibility of "creating characters" and began his long and arduous journey of "unifying and creating characters".
First, Kunpeng made full use of his position as a core member of the Heavenly Dao Committee and the "special handling" authority granted to him by His Majesty the Heavenly Emperor to access many treasures within the Taiwei Heavenly Court.
Those are detailed information and evolutionary history of all the acquired scripts created and used by various eras, races, and civilizations throughout the primordial world since the beginning of time.
These materials are vast and incredibly complex.
Some languages have long been lost to the river of time with the extinction of their races; some languages are too obscure and difficult to understand, and are only circulated in a very small area; and some languages have even caused terrible wars because the Taoist concepts they embody conflict with each other.
Kunpeng locked himself in the "Wanwen Pavilion" in the Heavenly Court, working tirelessly day and night, multiplying his powers and expending a great deal of effort to finally complete the initial sorting, summarizing, and analysis of these precious written materials. He gained a relatively clear understanding of the current state and problems of the acquired writing system in the entire prehistoric universe.
Immediately afterwards, Kunpeng did not rush to "reinvent the wheel" and create a completely new unified script out of thin air.
He knew that the creation and evolution of writing was never something that could be accomplished overnight.
It must be deeply rooted in the soil of the civilization and living beings it serves, and must be able to accurately carry its unique Taoist philosophy and cultural essence.
Otherwise, it will become like water without a source or a tree without roots, unable to last long.
Therefore, Kunpeng made an extremely important decision—he would personally travel throughout the Primordial Realm and explore all the myriad worlds!
Only by delving into each race and tradition with its unique civilization, conducting on-site investigations of their language habits, studying their writing structure, comprehending the essence of their great principles, and experiencing their cultural customs can one truly understand their way of life.
He wanted to listen to the voices of every race, understand the aspirations of every civilization, and respect the history and emotions behind every language, just like a most devout scholar.
Therefore, after reporting his plan in detail to the Heavenly Emperor Taiyi and obtaining His Majesty's full support and corresponding authorization, he...
Kunpeng then transformed into an inconspicuous stream of light and quietly left the majestic Taiwei Heavenly Court, beginning his long and unknown "journey of exploring the writing systems of all the heavens and myriad worlds".
He first arrived in the primordial east, in that vast expanse of water ruled by the dragon race.
He disguised himself as a wandering cultivator and visited the Dragon Palace of the Four Seas. He talked with the knowledgeable dragon elders all night long and studied in depth the "Dragon Chapter," which was structurally rigorous, majestic, and contained the secrets of controlling clouds and rain and mastering the Great Dao of Water.
He personally experienced the hardships and joys of the dragon clan's children learning the "Dragon Code," and also felt the crucial importance of the "Dragon Code" in maintaining the inheritance of the dragon clan's bloodline and cultural identity.
Afterwards, Kunpeng headed south into the primordial wilderness.
There, he had the privilege of listening to the ancient "Phoenix Script" personally recited by the Phoenix Clan elders, a script filled with the meaning of rebirth and eternal flames, and felt the pride and resilience that came from the depths of his bloodline.
He also observed the process of phoenix chicks learning "phoenix script," and each stroke seemed to contain the rhythm of flames and a hymn to life, which amazed him.
Immediately afterwards, he went to the Western Regions to visit the White Tiger God.
Together they discussed the "Qilin Jade Book," which is full of the spirit of virtue, auspiciousness, and harmony.
I have come to understand the profound principles of balancing all things and harmonizing the five elements contained within it.
Besides these three powerful innate races, Kunpeng's footprints have spread to every corner of the prehistoric world.
He had been to the unfathomable Netherworld and studied with the Ten Kings of Hell the "Netherworld Ghost Script" that recorded the mysteries of life, death, reincarnation, and cause and effect.
He also visited the demon realm, where he drank and chatted with the demon kings of the heavens, exploring the mysteries of demonic script.
“Master, let me tell you, the demonic script isn’t just here. You can go to these other universes.”
At the banquet, Fu Zhu, the eldest disciple of the outer sect of the Chan Sect, and Meng Huai, the second disciple, mysteriously gave Kunpeng several coordinates.
They said, "The coordinates of these universes were recorded by us when we traveled through the heavens."
"Their magical script is also a typical example of writing that can convey the Dao, and it is quite similar to the formations in our True Realm."
"If the Celestial Master is interested, he can go and take a look."
"Is that so?" Kunpeng carefully noted down the signpost.
Fu Zhu reminded him: "If the Celestial Master goes, we must be careful of some heretical Celestial Venerables."
"Some of them are related to the Chaos Gods, so be careful not to fall into their trap."
At this point, Fuzhu revealed a look of unbearable sorrow.
Clearly, he had suffered some hardships.
"Well, I'll pay attention."
Kunpeng stayed in the Demon Realm for a long time, exchanging a lot of valuable information with the Demon Kings.
After all, since the emergence of the Demon Tribulation, the Demon Kings of the Demon Realm have been the examiners of those seeking the Dao in all the heavens, and their knowledge of the heavens must be very comprehensive.
Traveling through the primordial world is necessary, but Kunpeng has not forgotten the vast and complex myriad worlds.
~~~
On this day, the figure of Kunpeng quietly descended into a vast universe called "Xuanyun Great World".
This world is rich in immortal energy, and its Taoist practices are flourishing. Countless stars dot the landscape, and numerous cultivation civilizations of varying sizes are scattered across the star fields like stars, presenting a thriving and vibrant scene.
Kunpeng transformed into a refined and profound-looking Taoist priest, strolling through Tongming City, the most prosperous immortal city in this world.
He admired with great interest the buildings and magical artifacts on both sides of the street that were full of local characteristics of the Xuanyun Great World, while carefully listening to the conversations between the passing beings.
Just as he arrived at a magnificent pavilion with a plaque that read "Hall of All Laws and Knowledge" hanging on it.
Suddenly, a series of crisp, menacing sounds of armor clashing came from the void behind them.
Kunpeng raised an eyebrow almost imperceptibly, without turning around, but his divine sense spread out like a tide, instantly understanding the situation behind him.
A group of about a hundred celestial soldiers and generals flew in and patrolled the skies above Tongming City.
The leader, a celestial general, was particularly eye-catching.
He had a red face and beard, wore golden armor and a red robe, had three angry eyes, held a wind and fire wheel in his left hand and a steel whip in his right hand, and his image was extremely heroic.
This celestial general is none other than Wang Lingguan from the Jade Pivot Fire Palace!
"The Heavenly Dao Mirror is acting strangely, which means that a god from beyond the heavens has entered this realm. How come we haven't been able to detect even a trace of his presence?"
Wang Lingguan was leading his heavenly soldiers, meticulously carrying out their patrol mission.
He took out a divine mirror, a divine artifact issued by the Heavenly Court.
When Xuanqing was the Heavenly Emperor, he mass-produced many low-level replicas of the Heavenly Dao Mirror to monitor all realms.
What Wang Lingguan held was a Heavenly Dao Mirror of the Great World.
At this moment, with the help of the Heavenly Dao Mirror, he suddenly opened the vertical eye on his forehead and his gaze swept across the great city below like lightning.
Finally, after Kunpeng deliberately revealed a trace of his aura, he finally found the source of the anomaly.
"Hmm? Why does this figure look so familiar?"
Wang Lingguan met a Taoist priest in black robes who seemed ordinary, yet gave him a strange sense of familiarity.
He sensed it carefully for a moment, and the familiar aura became clearer and clearer, and it also made him more and more alarmed!
The next moment, Wang Lingguan no longer cared about his patrol duties.
He suddenly descended from the clouds, his figure moving like lightning to a few feet behind the Taoist in black robes, and clasped his hands in greeting, shouting, "This humble general, Wang Shan, greets the Celestial Master!"
"I was unaware that the Celestial Master had graced the Xuan Yun Great World with his presence; I have failed to greet you properly!"
Kunpeng slowly turned around and looked at the majestic heavenly general who had paid such a great salute to him. A trace of reminiscence and a barely perceptible smile flashed in his deep eyes.
He looked Wang Lingguan up and down, and said with a hint of teasing, "Oh? So it's Wang Shan. It's been many years, and you've become even more imposing and intimidating."
"If it weren't for the three eyes on your forehead that make you somewhat recognizable, I almost wouldn't have recognized you."
Then, as if he had remembered something, he continued, "Let me think... You kid, you should be from the 47th 'Elite Training Class for Heavenly General Reserves' of the Jade Pivot Fire Palace of the Taiwei Heavenly Court, right?"
"If I remember correctly, I personally presided over the graduation assessment for your class back then."
"Exactly! Exactly!" Upon hearing this, Wang Lingguan's face immediately lit up with a bright smile. He nodded repeatedly with excitement, his voice trembling slightly.
"As expected, the Celestial Master still recognizes this humble general! This humble general... this humble general is truly honored!"
It should be noted that Celestial Master Kunpeng holds a very high position in the hearts of all the heavenly soldiers and generals of the entire Taiwei Heavenly Court.
After all, he's their head instructor!
Although the Celestial Master usually appears stern and unsmiling, he is also extremely strict in disciplining his troops.
But all the heavenly soldiers and generals who had been trained by him knew that the Heavenly Master was actually a good leader who truly cared about his subordinates and loved his comrades.
He was always generous in guiding and mentoring those younger, talented, and hardworking soldiers; he was also always willing to give those who made mistakes but were genuinely repentant a chance to reform themselves.
It can be said that at least half of the heavenly soldiers and generals of the entire Taiwei Heavenly Court had received the teachings and favors of the Heavenly Master Kunpeng, directly or indirectly, and were filled with heartfelt respect and love for him.
Seeing Wang Lingguan's overjoyed expression, Kunpeng couldn't help but smile slightly, and he continued teasingly:
"Of course I recognize you. Your master, Master Xujing, told me your story. Master Xujing put in a lot of effort to take you as his disciple!"
Wang Lingguan and his master, Master Xujing, both originated from a certain world in the immortal realm.
Wang Shan, whose original name was Wang E, had done many embarrassing things.
Later, he was convinced by the true master Xu Jing, reformed his ways, and ascended to the true realm with his master.
Later, after achieving perfect merit, Master Xujing ascended to the Primordial Realm with his disciple Wang Shan. Master Xujing then chose to study at the Kunlun Academy of the Xuanmen Chan Sect, hoping to make further progress on the Great Dao.
Wang Shan, whose personality still retained some of his fiery temper and belligerence, chose to join the Taiwei Heavenly Court for an internship.
"Ahem... Celestial Master! Celestial Master! Those are all unpleasant memories from the past, please don't mention them!"
When Wang Lingguan heard Kunpeng reveal his "hidden secrets" in front of so many of his subordinates, he was shocked.
His originally flushed face instantly turned as red as a monkey's bottom, and he looked extremely embarrassed, wishing he could find a crack in the ground to crawl into on the spot.
The Heavenly Soldiers of the Fire Palace behind him, seeing this scene, all suppressed their laughter and turned their gazes toward Wang Lingguan, their eyes filled with an undisguised fire of gossip.
[Holy Emperor above! So our boss had a little-known "glorious past"?]
[Tsk tsk tsk, I never expected this! Our leader always seems so upright and dignified, but it turns out he's a student with a story to tell!]
Hehe, I wonder if I can find relevant information about this on the StarNet.
In an instant, the gossip-loving hearts of these heavenly soldiers were ignited.
If it weren't for the presence of the Grand Master Kunpeng, they probably would have already pulled out their StarNet terminals to thoroughly search for all sorts of "dirt" and "historical secrets" about their leader, Wang Lingguan!
Kunpeng looked at Wang Lingguan's extremely embarrassed and desperate appearance and couldn't help but chuckle to himself.
He knew the time was right, so he stopped teasing him.
Since there was nothing urgent to do today, I decided to chat casually with Wang Lingguan and his heavenly soldiers on the streets of Tongming City, which was also a way to get a feel for the "people's conditions" and understand the living conditions of the grassroots heavenly soldiers.
"How long has your team been stationed in this Xuan Yun Great World?" Kunpeng asked casually.
Wang Lingguan quickly composed himself and respectfully replied, "Reporting to the Celestial Master, if we calculate according to the time of the Primordial Realm, we have been stationed in this realm for exactly five hundred years."
"For the past five hundred years, we have worked diligently and conscientiously, without daring to slack off in the slightest."
"My subordinates and I have created countless clones to patrol every corner of this Xuan Yun universe."
"And project its divine sense into the many middle and lower worlds under its jurisdiction to uphold the laws of the Heavenly Court, eliminate evil, help the needy, punish the wicked and promote the good, and ensure that all beings in this world can live and work in peace and that the Great Dao can be spread smoothly!"
Upon hearing this, Kunpeng nodded slightly, a hint of approval in his eyes.
He was quite satisfied with the loyal, diligent, and pragmatic attitude of Wang Lingguan and the other heavenly soldiers and generals.
This gave him even more confidence in the two major reforms advocated by the Supreme Heavenly Emperor: "unifying the written language" and "establishing a divine religion."
Ultimately, any grand blueprint still needs countless grassroots implementers like Wang Lingguan, who fight on the front lines, to take it one step at a time and put it into practice in order to truly achieve its goals.
These heavenly soldiers and generals will undoubtedly be one of the most solid and important forces for promoting these two major reforms in the future.
Leave the Xuan Yun Great World.
With the authority granted by the Heavenly Dao Committee and the power of the Great Luo Supreme, Kunpeng could create countless versions of himself and others in all realms with a single thought.
"We Xuanxian follow the path of proving the Dao through force."
"To traverse the three realms of time and space with great magical power, that is 'power'; to walk through the heavens with great perseverance, is that not also 'power'?"
"Furthermore, when I return having successfully used literature to convey the Way, I can demonstrate the power of literature and the Way!"
"Hahaha!!"
In the long river of time and space, the Kun fish swims in different tributaries, and the Peng bird soars through countless worlds.
The transformation of Kunpeng is a transformation of the eternal culture and way.
"The decision to appoint him as the Celestial Master was not a mistake!"
On the ferry that carries people across the world, the ferryman, dressed in white, drifts among the various worlds.
He witnessed the footsteps of the Kunpeng.
Kunpeng traveled to one after another world of different levels and civilizations, including the Great Thousand World, the Middle Thousand World, and even the Lesser Thousand World.
In those technologically advanced civilized worlds, he saw "information scripts" composed of countless intricate symbols and logical codes, capable of driving the entire world to operate efficiently.
In those fantasy worlds where magic is at their core, he witnessed "magical runes," composed of various mysterious runes and elemental markings, capable of drawing upon the power of heaven and earth and unleashing world-destroying forbidden spells.
In those theocratic worlds bound by faith, he studied those sacred and majestic "divine texts" that recorded the will of the gods and sectarian codes.
Even in some primitive and unique tribal civilizations, he discovered "primitive pictographs" that were based on knotted ropes for record-keeping and pictorial representation, and were full of simple wisdom and the beauty of natural harmony.
Kunpeng ventures into various times and spaces, not only as a tourist but also as a participant in many civilizations.
His many different identities are tirelessly absorbing all knowledge and information related to writing, language, and civilization in this endless space and time.
Throughout this long process, Kunpeng has encountered countless difficulties and challenges.
However, when I think of His Majesty the Heavenly Emperor's earnest expectations...
The thought of the profound significance of this great undertaking of "unifying the written language" for the entire primordial universe is truly remarkable.
The thought of the immeasurable merit and immortal reputation that he might gain in the future because of this made him very happy.
The moment Kunpeng thinks of his own path, he immediately rallies and, with even greater enthusiasm and unwavering will, continues to dedicate himself to this great and sacred cause.
Gradually, as he traveled to more and more parts of the world, came into contact with more and more civilizations, and accumulated more and more knowledge.
In Kunpeng's mind, the prototype of that brand-new "unified post-natal script" began to become clearer and more concrete.
He began to try to find common patterns and internal connections among seemingly unrelated writing systems.
He even boldly borrowed some of the secrets of the "Chaos Mantra" used by some Chaos Gods in the Chaos Era, which could directly invoke the origin of the Great Dao.
They attempted to integrate it into a new writing system, giving it a more powerful ability to "carry the Way".
This process was filled with countless attempts and failures, as well as endless hardships and challenges.
But Kunpeng found joy in it all, and found it delightful.
Because he knew that he was doing something truly groundbreaking, a feat that could change the future of the entire primordial universe!
The pen in his hand at this moment carries not only the strokes and structure of words, but also the future and hope of the entire prehistoric civilization!
~~~~~
While Kunpeng was working tirelessly and traveling around to accomplish the great task of "unifying the written language,"
The Primordial True Realm.
The massively multiplayer online game (MMORPG) "Creator God," launched by the official platform of the Taiwei Heavenly Court, "StarNet," has already reached an unprecedented peak in popularity.
Hundreds of millions of beings in the primordial world, whether they were powerful immortals or beginners, or even ordinary beings who had no interest in cultivation and only sought entertainment and excitement, were almost all drawn to this game.
In the game world of "Creator God", every player can transform into a "Creator God" with supreme authority, starting from a chaotic void and personally creating their own vast world.
They can freely set the laws and order of their own world, evolve various unique races and civilizations, and guide the creatures in their world to experience various magnificent epics and calamities.
Some players are passionate about creating fantasy worlds filled with the spirit of immortals and chivalry, and the surging sword energy.
Some players prefer to create fantasy worlds filled with magic and dragons, knights and elves.
Some imaginative players have even tried to create a futuristic sci-fi world dominated by technology, featuring interstellar battles and mechs.
Or perhaps it's the Cthulhu Mythos world, filled with the bizarre, terrifying, and indescribable.
Different worldviews, different legal systems, and different forms of civilization collide, learn from each other, and merge on the huge "sandbox" of "Creator God," sparking countless amazing ideas and inspirations.
The Heavenly Ministry of Works also took this opportunity to cleverly incorporate many concepts and knowledge about the "Five Great Luo Methods," the "Eight Immortal Methods," and even the "Unification of Acquired Scripts" into the game.
The goal is to allow players to subtly accept and understand these profound mysteries of the Tao through an "edutainment" process.
It can be said that the emergence of the game "Creator God" not only successfully diverted public attention from the "Heavenly Emperor's Seclusion" incident.
Furthermore, it created an unprecedented and most favorable "mass base" and "ideological atmosphere" for Taiyi's two major reform initiatives: "unifying the written language" and "establishing a religion."
A bottom-up wave of "civilizational revolution" sweeping across the entire primordial universe is quietly brewing and poised to erupt within this seemingly peaceful game and daily life...
~~~~~
Taiwei Enclosure.
The Heavenly Emperor Taiyi summoned all the gods of Taiwei.
The deities present included Xuanqing (the Supreme Lord of Jidu), Taishang (the Supreme Lord of Jingyao), Minghe (the Supreme Lord of Xuyao), Wangshu (the Supreme Lord of Taiyin), and Zhenyuanzi (the Supreme Lord of Zhenxing).
"This gathering of everyone is a major event, a major event concerning the bright future of all living beings in the primordial world!"
The Heavenly Emperor Taiyi waved his hand, and a line of golden, primordial Daoist script revealed the theme of this conference:
"A Major Discussion on Several Issues to Deepen the Unification of the Three Realms in the Primordial World—Post-Heaven Writing and Candidates for the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors"
"Postnatal script?"
"The Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors?"
The gods of Taiwei looked at each other in bewilderment.
"I've been following StarNet's new game. Are you about to launch the Post-Heavenly Unification Plan for Scripts?"
[The Venerable Venerable Jin Yao Tai Bai] asked the question.
After all, Taiweiyuan had already prepared relevant plans, and they knew Taiyi's purpose without even having to calculate it.
“That’s right!” Tai nodded.
"As for the matter of the 'Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors,' the specifics are as follows."
Taiyi briefly explained his views on the religion and the divine race.
Xuanqing pretended to be thinking, Taishang was drowsy, and Minghe seemed to be listening with great interest.
Yuan Huang looked at Taiyi with a strange expression, and she subconsciously thought of Shen Ni.
"So, Fellow Daoist's first choice is Emperor Donghua?" Xuanqing couldn't help but laugh after hearing Donghua's name.
Taiyi actually thought of digging up "the dead" to fill the hole.
Who came up with this idea?
"That's right. I wonder if Fellow Daoists Jidu and Jingyao could lend a hand?"
Taiyi looked expectantly at Xuanqing and Taishang.
Xuanqing is an expert when it comes to getting people out of trouble.
However, when it comes to saving lives, we still need the most miraculous elixirs.
"Of course we'll help!"
The moment the topic of elixirs came up, the Supreme Lord immediately became energetic and all sleepiness vanished.
"It's just saving Donghua, right? I'm a professional!" he assured, patting his chest.
"Tell me, what kind of Donghua Emperor do you need, fellow Daoist?"
Taiyi asked curiously, "Could it be possible to customize different versions of Donghua?"
"Of course!"
The Supreme One looked at Taiyi as a matter of course.
"Fellow Daoist, would you like to rescue a Donghua Emperor who refuses to cooperate, and then play the role of a forceful conqueror, staging a drama of harmonious coexistence between ruler and subject?"
"The popular vernacular novels these days are all written like this—to subdue the strong and highlight one's own greatness!"
"No, no, let's get serious." Taiyi shook his head.
Because Tianfei Yinglong was a devoted reader of a certain immortal, Taiyi was also fortunate enough to have read the popular storybooks of today.
Compared to them, he felt that the Taiwei gods were quite serious.
