The court lackeys of the eight-hour workday
Chapter 79 Remarks on the launch
Chapter 79 Remarks on the launch
Hello everyone, this is Cucumber~
Still the old rules, let’s talk about the key points first:
Ten chapters will be posted at once at 12:00 noon tomorrow.
Additional chapters will be added from the next day. If the first order exceeds 3,000, one chapter will be added. Then, one chapter will be added for every 500 orders.
Alliance leader... although it is unlikely... I will still talk about it... Alliance leader, I will add two more chapters...
Finally, after this explosive period, about a week later, Huanggua will save up some manuscripts and add one update every day for a period of time. As for how long this period can last...it depends on whether Huanggua's leaders are humane...the shortest time is no less than a week~
During the year-end holiday, Huanggua will update more for you!
Please order first! Please, this is really important for cucumbers!
Even if you will leave later, please support Cucumber with a few cents because Cucumber made you happy before!
Please! ·°(﹏)°·
Okay, the next part is nonsense. Readers who are not interested can skip it and wait for the update at 12:00 noon tomorrow.
Let’s start with a question: cucumbers are not small.
Huanggua has never published any writing under any pen name or on any platform, nor received any royalties (the passionate writing of 10,000 or 20,000 words, only the beginning one does not count).
You may think that Huanggua’s account is a new one, but it is just because Huanggua wants to distinguish his account for reading books from his account for writing books.
Huanggua talked about this in a previous chapter, but many later readers may not know it.
Huanggua does like to write, but Huanggua is basically the only reader. After I started working, I gradually gave up this hobby.
If I have to say it, ten years ago, Huanggua chose liberal arts, and that's it.
When I wrote this book, I just wanted to finish my work. I did a good job and was very excited, so I just wrote a beginning and published it.
Then I received a message from the contract site and added the editor-in-chief as a friend. Then I gradually received recommendations and more and more people read it.
Step by step, I have come to this point in confusion.
During this process, many people provided great help to Cucumber.
First of all, I would like to thank:
First, let me introduce a senior author whose books you may have read. His ID is Qinzhihuaqing, and his representative work is "Inner Demon". He is currently serializing "Painted Skin of the Netherworld". His writing style is super good, and he is one of my favorite authors on Qidian.
In fact, it was also a chance encounter. A few years ago, when I was following the story of Heart Demon, I added my senior on QQ. Then one day, when I was stuck in the plot and didn’t know how to continue, I took the liberty to ask him for advice.
Then he read my novel overnight, and started talking with Huanggua about the outline, plot arrangement, character design, and how to write a good book at twelve o'clock, and we talked until four in the morning.
After Huanggua went to sleep, when I woke up the next day, I could still see the message he sent me at around five in the morning.
The outline of this book also gradually took shape in this process.
Thank you very much.
And then there is my editor, Bacon.
This was Huanggua’s first time writing a book, and I really didn’t understand some of the recommended terms, such as “first round, second round, third river, and little trumpet.” So at first I treated this book as a simple hobby and didn’t take the editor’s words too seriously.
Later, after Mr. Qin Zhi Hua Qing explained to me the meaning and rarity of these nouns, I realized that the editor was optimistic about this book.
After realizing that I couldn't treat this book as a joke anymore, I wrote an outline and design overnight and discussed it with the editor. The editor also gave Huanggua a lot of suggestions that day, and the message I sent couldn't even be displayed on an entire page on QQ.
As an aside, Bacon was really friendly and gave Cucumber a lot of encouragement!
Thank you very much for your help, Cucumber is really lucky.
There were also some guesses about the plot and settings proposed by some readers. After reading them, Huanggua thought, "Yes! What a great way to write it!" I kept some of them and added them to the plot of this book (which is the legendary copying of book reviews).
Cucumber would also like to say thank you to everyone here. Without your support, Cucumber would not be able to be put on the shelves. Thank you very much.
Finally, let’s talk about this book.
Let me say something off topic first. You may not believe it, but Huanggua is actually not a martial arts fan.
Huanggua probably only watched a few classic martial arts dramas when he was a child, such as The Return of the Condor Heroes, Xiaoyuer and Hua Wuque, and The World's Number One. As for martial arts novels, Huanggua really hasn't read many.
Online literature... I don’t actually read that many.
Cucumber's personality is the type that is both stubborn and conservative.
For example, when it comes to novels, I would rather reread my previous books than read a new one (if I have the chance, I can share my book list with everyone later).
Therefore, Huanggua is not too familiar with the popular trends of online literature nowadays. The fact that this book performed quite well was actually quite beyond Huanggua’s expectations.
Let’s get back to the point. The reason why I decided to write a martial arts novel was actually when I was ten years old and found a super, super niche martial arts novel in my grandfather’s box.
When Huanggua was young, he lived in a courtyard house. The south side was the bedrooms of Huanggua’s family, the west side was the washroom, the east side was the kitchen, and the south side was the living room and warehouse. Huanggua had a small room there where his grandmother brewed wine and prayed.
There is a small yard in the middle, where Cucumber’s grandmother planted a very tall cherry tree, the cherries are very sour. There are also fig trees, roses, Chinese toon trees, and a small rack where Cucumber’s grandmother would plant grapes and cucumbers, so that people could sit under it and enjoy the cool in the summer.
Cucumber remembers that it was summer, and Cucumber was sitting in the small yard, next to a fig tree with fruits. The cherry tree in the yard blocked the sunlight.
Cucumber's grandmother took two small puddings from the refrigerator, one for her and one for me, and we sat in the yard. Cucumber's pet chicken, which he bought for 50 cents, walked "clacking" on the bluestone slab.
In the back room, the sound of grandpa watching TV could be heard faintly. Outside, on the street, the sound of bicycles ding-ding-ding could be heard.
After eating the ice cream, Cucumber picked some figs to eat. You may not know that there is white mucus on the stems of freshly picked figs. Cucumber turned the pages of the book without wiping his hands, and ended up sticking several pages together.
Cucumber's grandmother helped Cucumber tear the book open, and then poured Cucumber a bowl of her secret "kombucha".
Cucumber finished reading the book in the small yard, enjoying the breeze and drinking red tea.
After Cucumber’s grandparents passed away, “Kombucha” was lost and the novel could not be found.
Having said so much, I still don’t know why this memory gave me the idea of “writing a martial arts novel”.
Maybe it was to continue the story of that martial arts novel I read that summer, whose name I can’t remember.
As a result, this book was started in winter, which is a bit funny to think about.
I have written a lot without realizing it. I have a lot of thoughts in my mind, but when they are put on paper, they still feel shallow.
Let’s leave it this way for now.
Thank you for your support. Huanggua will work hard to write this book well~
