Chapter 8 The first scene
Chen Nuo spent more than half an hour reading the book quickly. He began to doubt whether Zhang Yiyi had some unspeakable complex.

The characters and plot were similar to what Zhang Yiyi had told him before.

But what Zhang Yiyi didn't finish saying was that after Zhang Yaba was abandoned by Xiaozhu, he thought that it was because he didn't have a house that Xiaozhu's family didn't agree with them being together. So Zhang Yaba decided to build a house himself.

That’s right, just fix it yourself.

But instead of using bricks and cement, he went to a barren mountain to dig a hole. Finally, after five years and many difficulties, he dug out a house underground.

But when he went to invite Xiaozhu to visit his house, he found that Xiaozhu had already married, had a child, and lived in a tall building. Finally, Zhang the Mute went up the mountain alone, went into the underground house, and never came out again.

What kind of stupid fantasy plot is this?

Chen Nuo was overwhelmed by it. Not to mention the unreasonable parts, the whole script revealed only one word: miserable. Miserable, covered in green from head to toe.

Chen Nuo didn't understand. Would anyone watch such a movie? If people spent money to go to the cinema and ended up being fed such a big mouthful of shit, wouldn't Zhang Yiyi be afraid of being sent razor blades?
If he dared to shoot this kind of short video in his previous life, he would lose a million fans that day.

Or is this a movie, this is art?
Chen Nuo didn't understand.

But since he had promised Zhang Yiyi, he might as well go ahead and see what the result would be.

He called Chen Bicheng and told him about it. Then he didn't go to class the next day and started to study the script peacefully.

Although Chen Nuo was not a good reader, he could stay at home and read for two months during the summer vacation. Similarly, he really disliked this book with green poison, but it did not stop him from reading it for three whole days, from morning to night.

He first memorized the script by rote, following Zhang Yiyi's request. Although he didn't understand some of the professional terms, such as long shot, close shot, close-up shot, push and pull, etc., he had experience in short videos, so he could guess what they meant.

After he finished memorizing the script, he took a few sheets of paper and drew the long and close shots according to the scenes in the script. Then he found that after doing so, the pictures in his mind became clearer, and he even felt that the characters in his mind were moving. So he became interested and decided to draw the script.

In the following week, Chen Nuo did nothing but sleep, eat, and paint. When Zhang Yiyi finally called him, he was already painting the last scene.

"Chen Nuo, get ready. We'll start filming tomorrow. How do you think of the script?"

Chen Nuo looked at the painting in front of him, a stick figure, that was the mute, he was lying in a circle, that was the crypt. Looking down from above, the mute closed his eyes peacefully and calmly. After five years, he could finally sleep in his own house.

"I've remembered everything, Director." Chen Nuo said these few short words with some effort, as if he was not used to speaking anymore.

When Chen Nuo rushed to the place Zhang Yiyi told him, the two met, and Zhang Yiyi's first words were: "What's wrong with your voice?"

Chen Nuo didn't know what was wrong with him.

He has been immersed in Zhang Yaba's world these days. Apart from going out to eat and answering the phone, he has almost no communication with the outside world.

He also became less and less willing to talk.

Chen Nuo shook his head. Zhang Yiyi nodded thoughtfully and did not ask any more questions.

This time, Zhang Yiyi's crew was all present. In addition to the actors, there were more than ten people from top to bottom, and everyone had to do multiple jobs. The photographer was a man in his forties with a big beard. When Chen Nuo passed by, he heard him muttering that he had been in this industry for twenty years, and this was the first time he had joined such a grass-roots team. The director and producer were all students, and he didn't know where the investment came from.

After Chen Nuo arrived, Zhang Yiyi asked him to cut his hair.

Sitting at the entrance of the alley, a lady who was a stage manager and part-time stylist, took a clipper, stood behind Chen Nuo, and asked him hesitantly, "Hey, did I really clip it?"

"Push it."

The young lady had shaved Chen Nuo's hair into a crew cut and originally wanted to borrow some hot water from a household to wash his hair, but Chen Nuo thought it was troublesome and saw a faucet at the entrance of the alley and simply buried his head under it.

Li Xiaotian and Zhang Yiyi were smoking not far away and happened to see this scene. Li Xiaotian said, "I didn't expect it. It's okay. 40. If the film still doesn't come out this time, both of us will have to sell our butts." Zhang Yiyi stared at Chen Nuo who was running cold water on his hair under the faucet and said, "Xiaotian, I have a feeling that from today on, the fate of you and me has changed."

"because of him?"

"because of him."

After the haircut, he was asked to change his clothes. A ragged cloth shirt with many patches and a pair of ragged cloth shoes. The worst thing was that there were two holes in the cloth shoes, and Chen Nuo's big toe just stuck out of the hole.

This picture was not enough for Yi Yi, so he came over to look her up and down, and finally said, "The face is not good, it's too clean."

The makeup artist and the managing lady asked, "How about some coal dust?"

"Coal dust is too contrived. Just find some dust from the ground and use it on your face, neck, and hands."

The non-professional lady looked embarrassed and asked, "How do I do this?"

After hearing this, Chen Nuo didn't say anything. He walked to the dusty place near the wall, lay down on the ground, rolled back and forth a few times, and then walked back.

Zhang Yiyi looked at him deeply and said, "This time it works."

Ready to start.

Zhang Yiyi said that on the first day, the crew needed to get used to each other and they would shoot three scenes in total, all of which were scenes set in the alleys. But if things didn't go well, two scenes would be fine.

"Everyone, take your positions. The Dumb's House. First scene, first shot, first time!" the young lady said, and with a "click", the clapperboard clicked.

The first scene Chen Nuo filmed in his life began.

This is a close-up shot.

The photographer was squatting on the ground, less than a meter away from him, taking a picture of him putting on his shoes at the gate of a courtyard.

The door behind Chen Nuo opened and a man walked out.

There were only a pair of legs of that person in the camera, as if he was not seen, and he walked directly over Chen Nuo's head, as if he was treating him as a weed or a stone on the roadside.

While painting, Chen Nuo was deeply impressed by this scene. He thought Zhang Yanba would have a strong reaction, but at this moment he did not.

Chen Nuo just squatted there with his head buried. He paused for a moment, then quickly put on his shoes, stood up, looked around, spat at the entrance of the courtyard, and then left to the other side with fast steps, as if he was running away.

From beginning to end, he never once looked in the direction where the legs left.

"Okay, Ka, do it again."

Why did they have to do it again? Zhang Yiyi didn't give a reason on the intercom, and Chen Nuo didn't ask, so he just filmed it again.

"do it again."

"do it again."

"do it again."
