Chapter 325 Master Xu: You Won't Die
"Da da da."

As the gate of the Minister's residence was knocked on.

Aunt Lin entered the mansion and came to the courtyard.

Zeng Shilin sat in a recliner, leisurely sipping his tea. Hearing the noise, he didn't turn around, but said calmly:
"We've run out of tea, go and get some more for the master."

Aunt Lin remained silent, a smile playing on her lips. She gracefully walked to Zeng Shilin's side, gently picked up the teapot, and headed out of the courtyard.

It was only then that Zeng Shilin realized something was wrong.

He slowly raised his head, glanced sideways, and when his gaze fell on Aunt Lin's back, he exclaimed in astonishment:
"Why are you back?"

"Who let you come back?"

Where's Tiger?

The three questions in a row showed that he was caught off guard.

The sun was just setting.

Just like when we first met, Aunt Lin stood by the bridge, holding an umbrella.

This time, however, Aunt Lin was not holding an umbrella, but a teapot.

She looked at Zeng Shilin with a smile, blinked, and a mischievous glint appeared in her eyes:
"My lord, your staring at me like that makes me a little flustered."

As soon as these words came out.

Zeng Shilin blushed deeply.

He also recalled the first time they met, when he was deeply attracted to Aunt Lin upon first sight.

That's what she said back then.

"You know it all?"

Zeng Shilin sighed and looked at Aunt Lin with a complicated expression.

"I don't know."

Aunt Lin's face remained smiling, but her exquisite features revealed a serious expression.

“But no matter what you want to do, it is not good to leave me behind alone.”

"With Dalang gone, someone has to keep the master company."

"I'll go add water to the teapot for the master." With that, Aunt Lin picked up the teapot and headed outside.

"Come back." Zeng Shilin paused for a moment, a look of relief on his face, then smiled and waved to Aunt Lin.
"Talk to me."

"it is good."

Aunt Lin nodded with a smile and respectfully came to Zeng Shilin's side.

Zeng Shilin stared at Aunt Lin for a while, then shook his head and smiled:

Do you know why I looked the way I did when I first met you?

Aunt Lin's smile remained unchanged. She winked at Zeng Shilin and said:
"Ah."

"You know that too?" Zeng Shilin was taken aback.

"Under the master's bed, there is a scroll of paintings of ladies, with an inscription from sixteen years ago."

"The woman in the picture is exactly the same as the concubine."

Aunt Lin smiled and said, "I suppose it's because I'm fortunate enough to resemble the eldest son's birth mother."

Zeng Shilin's face showed a look of bewilderment:

"Have you discovered all this?"

"Haha." Aunt Lin chuckled softly, and said in a low voice, "Having lived together day and night for nearly seven years, even the most foolish girl would know something unusual."

"I'm old."

Zeng Shilin sighed.

His gaze, somewhat clouded, looked ahead:

"I'm sorry you've suffered all these years."

"Life and death are unpredictable, but I have never regretted it." Aunt Lin leaned gently on Zeng Shilin's shoulder.

"Kid, at a time like this, you still have the mind to flirt and develop feelings for someone?"

An old, mocking voice suddenly rang out in the courtyard.

A look of panic flashed across Aunt Lin's face. She quickly sat up from Zeng Shilin's shoulder, straightened her clothes, and looked ahead.

Zeng Shilin remained expressionless, as if he had expected this.

As the words fell.

The figure of Master Xu appeared out of thin air.

He stood in mid-air in the courtyard with a smile on his face, looking at Zeng Shilin.

"It's none of your business today, what are you doing here?"

Zeng Shilin calmly stood up from his chair and looked up at Master Xu's face. "Greetings, Master Xu," Aunt Lin said, quickly bowing upon seeing Master Xu.

"No need for formalities," Master Xu chuckled, then carefully examined Aunt Lin before looking at Zeng Shilin.

"You're quite lucky, kid."

"You are blessed with a body that is hard for outsiders to come by, and you will encounter it twice."

"Stop spouting nonsense." Zeng Shilin glanced at him, his voice cold.
"What are you here for?"

"The Xiangliu Demon Emperor possesses the bloodline of a Demon Emperor and can awaken a Sacred Body. The power of the nation's destiny cannot suppress him, so his arrival is useless."

Zeng Shilin's voice was calm.

Master Xu chuckled lightly: "I mainly came to take a look."

"I'll also help you cover your retreat. Those barbarian demons are reckless and don't know their own strength. It's alright if they destroy this courtyard, but we can't let it affect the people of the capital."

"Humph."

Zeng Shilin snorted coldly:
"I think you're afraid that if too many people die, it will harm the country's fortune and implicate you, isn't it?"

"You always speak so bluntly," Master Xu said, spreading his hands and looking innocently at Zeng Shilin.

"I've always meant well."

"Kindness?" Zeng Shilin's expression grew even colder: "Kindness means you plotted against me the very first time you met me?"

"How can you call it scheming? You are the only one in the entire world with such talent in Confucianism and Taoism."

Master Xu's expression also turned serious:
"After so many years in office, my mindset has not changed in the slightest."

"Besides you, I can't find a second person."

"Actually, after you took office as the Governor of Fengqi Road, I thought you would change."

Zeng Shilin smiled proudly:
"Others may change, but Qin Shoucheng and I will never change in this lifetime."

"Alright, enough chit-chat, here I come."

Zeng Shilin's face was solemn. He glanced at Aunt Lin and said, "Go back inside. No matter what happens outside, don't come out."

Aunt Lin stubbornly shook her head: "I will not go."

"obedient."

Zeng Shilin frowned, his voice carrying a hint of reprimand:
"You've come with ill intentions; I shouldn't look after you."

"Don't go."

Aunt Lin shook her head again.

Zeng Shilin looked at Master Xu with a blank expression.

"Go, go, go."

Master Xu sighed, then casually waved his hand.

Aunt Lin's face became blank, then she simply closed her eyes and her breathing became even.

With another gentle gesture, Master Xu sent Aunt Lin drifting into the room like a falling leaf, landing on the bed and covering her with the blankets.

……

Only Zeng Shilin and Master Xu remained in the courtyard.

"After this battle, no matter what happens to Xiang Liu, I will go to see the Confucian sage."

The old man, carrying Master Xu on his back, spoke in a faint voice:
"Master Xu, please take good care of my wife and children."

Master Xu stared at his back for a while.

Then he chuckled and said:

"You should handle this yourself."

?

Zeng Shilin's body trembled slightly.

He looked at Master Xu with a puzzled expression.

Master Xu spread his hands and said:

"I told you before, no matter what the outcome is, you will die if this method is used."

"But I never said I couldn't help you come back to life."

As he spoke, Master Xu smiled and took out a piece of lotus root that emitted a seven-colored halo from his sleeve.

"I will envelop your soul with my spiritual power in a moment."

"Use this to reshape your physical body."

"How are you? Happy?"
