Who is Kawai in Chapter 467?
(A minor bug has been fixed; the scene where Tamako and Kawai go to play with sand sculptures has been removed.)
Inside the old Japanese house, Fushimi Shika hurriedly finished her homework before Kujo Yui returned home.

The exact second he paused writing, the sound of the living room door opening came from the entryway, followed by Kujo Yui's ghostly, urgent question:
"Operation……"

"Have you finished writing?"

Fushimi Shika was unsure of himself, since the answers were all made up, and he dared not speak up. So he turned to Tamako and gestured for her to report back to her mother.

"I've finished writing," Xiaoyuzi said timidly.

Kujou Yui slowly floated in, once again using the Python Coil technique. She lay on Tamako's back like a bound spirit, extending her slender fingers to carefully examine the homework.

Tamako was sweating profusely, remaining silent, her lips pursed as she stole glances at Kujo Yui's profile. The latter was anything but a kind mother; her cheeks were sunken and pale, her eyes bloodshot and venomous, as if she wanted to stick her eyeballs to her homework and pick out a bone from an egg.

"Well……"

"Um……"

The room was so quiet that only the sound of turning pages and the occasional unintelligible interjections from Kujo Yui could be heard.

After a while, Kujo Yui finished checking the part of the homework that Tamako had written, and then continued to check the part of the homework that Fushimi-sensei had written for her.

Tamako's face turned pale with nervousness. She kept stealing glances at Fushimi-sensei, looking like a guilty thief, afraid of being caught by Kujo Yui.

Fushimi Shika keeps his eyes down, seemingly indifferent to everything.

Kujou Yui looked at it for a while, then realized something was wrong and tightened her grip, her cunning fingers almost piercing the exercise book. She scolded sharply, "How could you get such a simple question wrong?!"

Xiaoyu was extremely aggrieved. She hadn't done the problem; it was Fushimi-sensei who did it... Wasn't Fushimi-sensei supposed to be a renowned tutor? How could he get even an elementary school student's problem wrong?
She turned to look at Fushimi Shika, hoping that Fushimi-sensei could explain and help her out of this predicament.

Fushimi Shika, with a serious and righteous expression, frowned and echoed, "That's right, I've explained it so many times, how could you still make a mistake?"

what? !

Xiaoyuzi's eyes widened, and she looked like she was about to cry.

She was so wronged she was about to cry. If it weren't for Fushimi-sensei letting her go out to play, she would have stayed home and finished her homework obediently. Now, not only did Fushimi-sensei break his promise, but he also kicked her when she was down.

Is this what adults are like? It's absolutely outrageous!

After poking at the diary, Kujo Yui started poking Tamako, her sharp fingernails pressing against Tamako's forehead, making her wobble like a rag doll. Tamako cried out in pain, but dared not cry out loud, only sobbing softly, her thin shoulders trembling.

At this moment, from Fushimi Shika's perspective, a window resembling an experience bar appeared above Tamako's head, rapidly decreasing from its original green color to a deep red, leaving only a tiny bit remaining.

He didn't know what it was, but guessed it was a bar similar to health points. Xiaoyu was losing health, so it kept deducting health points... something like that?
"You still have the nerve to cry? You can't even do your homework properly! Is it that hard to finish your homework? I've given you time to rest!" Kujou Yui scolded sharply, her voice like a demonic whisper, as if she wanted to exhaust Tamako to death.

Fushimi Shika couldn't bear to watch any longer. Even if this scene was fake, just a dream, he couldn't stand it. He immediately grabbed Kujo Yui's arm and said, "Miss Kujo, don't be too harsh on the child..."

"This is my family matter!"

Kujou Yui glared at him, her eyes gleaming red. If Fushimi-sensei said anything wrong, he would have to pay with his life today for Tamako's carelessness in doing her homework!
Fushimi Shika sensed danger. Having played horror RPGs before, he knew not to go against NPCs who triggered certain deaths—now that a dialogue option had been triggered, what he said was crucial. "Learning isn't something that can be accomplished overnight. I promise Tamako will do her homework properly tomorrow," he said sincerely.

"This is your dereliction of duty! She made a mistake in her homework, didn't you check it? Didn't you correct it? Why didn't you explain the problem to her? What did I call you here for?!"

The more Kujou Yui spoke, the more terrifying she became. She was like a boss from a Souls-like game, unleashing her second phase in a rage. Her bones cracked and popped, and her body gradually grew taller, twisting from a slender ghost into an indescribable Cthulhu... Perhaps it was because Kujou Yui was so enraged that Tamako didn't dare to look directly at her mother, which is why she left such a deep impression.

Fushimi Shika had never seen this side of Kujo Yui before. In his memory, Kujo Yui always acted with propriety and had the air of a superintendent of police. Her words and actions were always dignified and authoritative. But thinking about it carefully, she was also a mother.

As the saying goes, distance makes the heart grow fonder. Even the greatest hero is just a mortal in the eyes of his servant, who may even find him repulsive.

Just as Fushimi Shika was about to say something to make amends for his dereliction of duty, Kujo Yui suddenly grew four tentacles that wrapped around his limbs, suspending him in the air. With a sudden twist, his hands and feet became twisted like pretzel, causing him to grimace in pain.

I felt pain even in my dreams, and it felt incredibly real.

Then, Kujo Yui opened the cupboard and threw Fushimi Shika inside like a rag doll, while also grabbing Tamako's ear and pushing her inside as well.

"You two will stand facing the wall and reflect on your actions tonight!!"

After saying that, Kujo Yui slammed the cabinet door shut, plunging the surroundings into darkness and complete silence, with only Tamako's sobs remaining.

Fushimi Shika lay in the corner of the cupboard, sweating profusely from the pain. He tried to move his hands and feet, but couldn't feel anything at all. It seemed that he had only managed to escape with his life by sheer luck, but had become a cripple.

He listened carefully for a while, but didn't hear any footsteps of Kujou Yui leaving. He wasn't sure if she had left or not, since Kujou Yui had floated in and would most likely float out.

On the other side, Xiaoyu hugged her knees, curled up in the corner of the cupboard, and sobbed incessantly.

Fushimi Shika, feeling troubled and guilty, couldn't help but say, "Don't cry."

He should have said it, because it only made Xiaoyuzi more upset, and her low sobs turned into loud wailing.

In the darkness, Fushimi Shika could still see that thing that looked like a 'life bar'. He didn't know what it was for, but he felt it was important, otherwise it wouldn't have appeared in Minamoto no Tamako's dream.

He pondered for a moment, but couldn't come up with anything good, so he changed the subject and asked, "Has Kujo Yui always been like this?"

"Mom, Mommy...she's under a lot of work pressure...waaaaaah...I know Mommy is doing it for my own good...Daddy doesn't want people to gossip about him, so he keeps trying to get Mommy to quit her job...They argue all the time...waaaaah...Mommy says she can take care of me outside of work...but actually they're both very busy...Mommy simply doesn't have time..."

Xiaoyu leaned against the cupboard wall, her right hand hugging her knee, her left hand unconsciously picking at the wallpaper. She was so sad that she cried and said, "But I don't blame Mom. I just want a friend... When we went out to play today, I still didn't dare to talk to the other classmates..."

"Huh? Where's Kawai?" Fushimi Shika asked, surprised.

"Chuan, Chuanhe... hiccup! Who is it?" Xiaoyuzi cried and hiccuped.

Fushimi Shika remembered that Kawai and she only became good friends in high school... Minamoto Tamako never seemed to have mentioned that she had any friends her age before high school.
