Chapter 164 Horus: In the Name of the Wolf God, Let the Universe Burn
"Here they come."
Abaddon stood at the command podium atop the bridge of the Vengeful Spirit.
He looked grimly at the projected world beneath the observation dome.
The hum of machinery mixed with the noise made by the bridge personnel.
Dense red dots appeared at the edge of the projection.
First there was one, then hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, and finally they became one, densely packed and endless.
The other three members of the Council of Four Kings stood beside him.
Senior non-commissioned officers such as Locke stood a little further back.
"Then let them know the power of the empire and let them be crushed under the empire's strong shield."
Horus, who was sitting on the throne, stood up.
The tall and majestic body brings an unparalleled sense of oppression.
He has a perfect face with delicate lines.
Those sharp sea-green eyes were inlaid with two amber pupils, full of wisdom that could see through the mysteries of the operation of all things.
The Primarch was much taller and larger than the Astartes.
On his thick shoulders was draped the fur of a giant beast, a trophy won in a great war.
"The scale of the enemy is beyond our imagination, and their numbers are increasing rapidly." Torgaddon looked at Horus, "I suspect that these bugs have already filled the void outside the galaxy."
"What size group of bugs must this be? I wonder how many galaxies have been eaten clean by them." Sejanus also expressed his opinion.
"No matter how many there are, we will destroy them all." Horus walked over to the railing, overlooking the multiple decks of the bridge. "The Luna Wolves have never lost a battle, never have, and never will."
"Order the fleet to prepare for battle and meet the enemy with the primary tactic. We must transform ourselves into sharp blades and cut through these damned enemies."
"Lord Horus." The unruly and hot-tempered Abaddon saluted the Primarch respectfully.
"Do you have any comments, First Captain?" Horus asked.
"The enemy is too numerous. Even if the Imperial warships have fierce firepower, they will be overwhelmed by the huge number of the Zerg fleet."
"First Captain, this is the void, thousands of light years away from the edge of the Milky Way." Horus smiled, "We don't have to worry about anything. Tell the captains that as long as they don't hurt friendly forces, they can use all the weapons on the ship."
"All weapons?" Sejanus' eyes widened. "That would shatter the void into pieces."
"This is just a desert without life or material. It doesn't matter if it is broken. It will be repaired slowly over time. Go and convey my order."
"In the name of the Wolf God, let the universe burn."
Horus looked toward the porthole, his determined gaze fixed on the vast void.
With the terrifying amplification brought by the genetic engine, his vision broke through the limitations of dimensions and space and saw the Zerg's biological spacecraft.
They glowed damply in the dark depths of space.
A teardrop-shaped boat covered with sensor spikes was breaking out of the dark waves.
The number is innumerable.
When Horus looked over, he could only see a vast expanse of green light.
That was the light from the bioplasma thrusters.
"Attack. We must crush every bug that intends to enter the galaxy and completely wipe out this hungry race from the universe."
"First tactical formation, highest authorization, use all weapons."
The communications director stood up.
Repeating Horus's orders to each numbered ship in the fleet before him.
The layers of working groups and stations on the decks of each warship immediately became busy.
Technicians responsible for force field maintenance calibrated the energy matrix that stabilized the hull.
Adjusting parameters for the coming war.
The priests in the energy control room pass data to their colleagues in various weapons departments so that they can make accurate assessments.
The fleet adjusted its formation and accelerated, stabbing at the swarm like a sharp knife.
There are many types of Zerg ships.
Some look like slugs, and some look like void whales.
Most bear resemblance to marine life, but are magnified a million times in size.
Some have huge blades on the front, or armored beaks.
The tentacled bio-ships dominate.
But other ships have rams as bows, or carry oversized biological weapons controlled by executioners or queens hidden in huge, never-closing maws.
There are boats with fins, boats with tails, and boats with shrunken arms and legs.
Many of the ships had incredibly long tails, and when they got close to Imperial ships, they would roll towards them with the intention of launching an attack.
Some ships are also equipped with chitinous carapaces common to most Zerg creatures.
Every combination of creatures can be found within the Swarm fleet.
Unfortunately, they were all merged and completely changed.
Forced to submit to the will of the hive.
There is a terrifying unity in their diversity.
The range of the Swarm fleet's biological cannons is much shorter than that of the Imperial warships.
When the two sides were still millions of kilometers apart, the Empire's artillery launched the first round of salvos.
The muzzles of the huge ships' guns gleamed with light, unleashing annihilation shells the size of shipping containers.
Lasers and spears of light intertwined in the void, as bright as stars, weaving together a short-lived constellation.
Zerg ships have no shields, but they use ice, asteroid fragments and secreted body fluids to stick together to form a thick protective layer.
Their motherships also have a unique Zerg psychic field protection that can offset most physical attacks.
The intense barrage tore apart the Zerg ships, turning them into broken shells and giant chunks of flesh.
Frozen bodily fluids condensed in clouds between the corpses of the bio-ships.
A few hours later, the debris spread across millions of kilometers of airspace, and the area was still expanding rapidly.
But the swarm is endless.
For every ship destroyed, a hundred came to replace it.
"Activate space weapon - dimensionality reduction beam."
shouted the Vengeful Spirit's weapons chief.
A huge teleportation light hole appeared in front of the Queen of Glory-class battleship.
A beam of light sank into the light hole, and then appeared again a million kilometers away, sinking into the insect swarm.
In just a moment, the area where the light beam fell, the three-dimensional space fell into two dimensions like a waterfall.
The area of dimensionality reduction region expands rapidly.
This then led to a larger drop.
This was a terrible natural disaster for the densely packed Zerg fleet.
One biological ship after another fell into space.
Every atom of them is clearly imprinted in the space of the fallen dimension.
Extremely precise, not a single one is missing.
Dimensionality reduction is just a problem with the spatial structure, and matter will not increase or decrease. After all, the Warhammer universe is different from the Three-Body Universe.
The Three-Body Universe is an absolutely physical universe.
The subspace is suppressed to the extreme, almost non-existent, and no supernatural power exists.
No matter how powerful those civilizations are, they cannot break the constraints of the laws of physics.
Precisely because physics occupies an absolute dominant position, dimensionality reduction and the spread of the black domain appear so terrifying to the civilizations in the Three-Body Universe.
However, the Warhammer universe's warp is extremely active, and the laws of physics cannot completely overwhelm the immaterial world.
When the two-dimensionalization reaches a certain range, the non-material world will help the material world to rebound, allowing space and time to return to three dimensions.
But after those creatures that fell into two dimensions recovered to three dimensions, they were torn apart by the change in the structure of space and time, and turned into pools of broken shells and flesh.
In addition to space weapons, imperial warships also used various extinction weapons.
Create black holes, speed up time, reverse the law of causality, etc.
The space is cut like paper-cuts and shattered like glass.
Time was in chaos, sometimes flying forward, sometimes moving backward, tearing the biological ships into pieces.
Time and space have become tools controlled by the empire.
Thought waves rippled and spread throughout the void like water waves, interrupting the connection between the mother nest's will and the numerous biological ships.
The Imperial fleet cut through the Zerg fleet like a sharp knife.
Slaughtering any biological ships they encountered.
“It was a truly exhilarating massacre.”
Abaddon smiled as he watched a giant hive ship that was thirty kilometers long and five kilometers wide being destroyed by the horrific fire of the Spirit of Vengeance.
The huge body of the hive ship was pierced by the light beam.
Even though the mother body was dead, the limbs were twitching wildly in the void.
"Are we unable to kill all of these things?" Torgadon complained as he looked at the densely packed Zerg warships outside.
The Imperial fleet relied on its powerful firepower to fight its way through the Zerg fleet.
But the number of enemies did not decrease at all.
The ship seemed to be trapped in a sea of insects. No matter which direction you looked from, there was an endless tide of insects.
The war broke out over a range of tens of billions of kilometers.
However, the Zerg bio-ships filled the space.
It is conceivable that the number of insects has reached an exaggerated level.
What's even more terrible is that the Zerg are constantly recycling destroyed bio-ships, converting them into biomass, reshaping them into warships, and deploying them to the battlefield.
"The enemy is too numerous."
Locke also frowned.
Such exaggerated numbers have only been experienced when fighting against greenskins.
But the greenskins are not as exaggerated as these bugs.
You know, this is a war in the void.
How many ships does the Zerg have and how big are they? !
"If we let them into the Milky Way, I'm afraid the entire galaxy will be filled up and overflow." Cyjanus responded humorously.
"They will wear us out." Abaddon looked at Horus. "Our warships are far more powerful than those bugs, but there are so many of them that they can ignore the difference in weapons."
"We are now trapped in the sea of insects. It looks like we are doomed." Torgadon looked at Horus and said, "Sir, when the time comes, please bring my body back to Cosonia. Maybe my fellow villagers will shed a few tears when they see my corpse."
Horus was amused.
"If I hadn't been aware of your funny personality, I might have really thought that I had lost your trust and was heartbroken."
He turned to look at the other officers of the Luna Wolves.
"What about you? What do you know about the current war situation?"
"This time, I agree with Torgaddon. We are doomed, Commander." Abaddon said, "We need to prepare enough silver coins to cover our eyes."
There is a tradition in Cosonia that the living place silver coins on the eyes of their deceased loved ones and friends.
Abaddon's words almost made Cyjanus, Horus Jr., Loken and others laugh out loud.
"You have been with Torgaddon for too long." Horus turned his gaze back to the void, "I never lose a battle, including this one."
"Communications officer, contact Terra, send the fleet rune location, and request a divine punishment override. It's time to show you my brother's masterpiece."
The high-ranking officers of the Luna Wolves looked at each other in confusion.
But soon, their confusion was answered.
Magnificent gates of light opened up in the void.
They saw exaggerated steel buildings floating behind the light gate.
Those buildings bind multiple stars and constantly draw power from them.
The light gathered on the spire-shaped transmitters of those buildings, emitting a terrifying aura of destruction.
Then the light shot out, spanning tens of thousands of light years and landed on this vast battlefield.
The endless Zergs burned quickly like dead leaves on fire.
Then it turned into ashes and disappeared from this universe.
"This is Perturabo's masterpiece." Horus said calmly: "Drawing the power of the stars and using instant teleportation technology to launch a saturation attack on any known location in the universe.
"The number of Zerg is endless, but behind us stands the Empire with endless potential for war. From beginning to end, we are not fighting alone."
Members of the Council of Four Kings, Loken and other high-ranking officers all widened their eyes.
Watching the crazy swarm of insects turn into ashes and drift away in the void.
When the divine punishment was over, the stars shrank and dimmed visibly to the naked eye.
One can imagine how much energy was released in the previous round of attacks.
"Let the fleet regroup. The Zerg has not been completely defeated yet." Horus ordered the shocked descendants, "We must make this race disappear completely from the universe."
Noisy!Noisy!Noisy!
At this moment, a strange electric current sound was heard in the communication channel.
"There is interference from an unknown signal source. It has been added to the database for comparison."
"Commander, this is a communication message from the Necrons. They request to be connected and speak to you."
The communications director's words made Abaddon and the others frown.
"Didn't that gang of ribs be almost wiped out? How come there are also some outside the galaxy?"
"These bugs couldn't be their masterpiece!"
"If that's the case, they deserve to be damned."
".."
Horus ignored the discussion of his descendants and said, "Come in. I want to know what these aliens want to say."
The projection equipment made a humming sound, and the light emitted changed in the air.
A quick sketch of a Necron sitting on a majestic throne.
It sat upright, and in front of the throne there were several Undead Guards holding phase weapons.
"My Lord is the head of the Three Holy Councils, the C'tan Crusher, the one who defeated the Old Ones, the master of the Scepter of Eternal Glory, the King of Silence."
"Hurry up and kneel before my Lord. This is the etiquette you should follow, because my Lord is the true Lord of the Galaxy, an existence that you inferior races must worship and respect."
A guard in front of the throne spoke.
