Warhammer: Emperor's Ravenbringer

Chapter 1: The Big Golden Man

Chapter 1: The Big Golden Man

Terra.

The end of the Unification War.

Battlefield of the Scandinavian Peninsula.

The Emperor, covered in glory, strolled across the war-torn frozen plains, with no emotion visible on his face.

The golden armor on his body protected him from the biting cold wind, and a long sword without a scabbard hung at his waist.

The energy field has not yet been activated, and the circuits throughout the sword are cold and silent.

Deep craters left by the artillery fire were everywhere, and gray snowflakes carrying radiation flew down from the sky.

All around the Emperor, the power armor of the Thunder Warriors was humming softly.

They walked with heavy steps, searching the battlefield.

Rescue the surviving comrades and execute the remaining enemies.

The Emperor strode across the battlefield, past the groaning soldiers who begged him for help.

Over those cold bodies.

Walk towards the circle surrounded by the imperial guards.

Surrounded was a gray-haired, lonely man.

The man was wearing a tattered robe made from the fur of a cloned creature.

Shivering in the cold wind.

He hugged himself tightly with both hands, hunched over and huddled together, his body covered with bruises.

The man's name is Moranson. He is the supreme ruler of the Moranson Federation and a crazy chaos worshiper.

He has a fanatical religious army.

One of the many warlords on Terra intent on preventing the Emperor from unifying the world.

Like those warlords, he eventually suffered defeat at the hands of the Emperor's powerful army and was captured.

"So, this is the end of it all?"

Moranson looked at the Emperor approaching with a sad smile on his face.

The Emperor remained silent, the cold wind blew his long black hair, and the cold sun made his sword shine.

"Why?" Moranson looked up at the Emperor. "Why are you slaughtering my people like this?"

"Your people will live, but you and your crazy army have no right to do so."

"Lord of Terra." Moranson pronounced the title word by word and laughed crazily.

The Emperor shook his head, "Wrong, it's the Lord of Mankind."

"Hahaha, all of humanity, one planet is not enough to satisfy your appetite? Don't you even intend to let go of the stars in the sky? Your arrogance is simply hopeless."

The Emperor did not argue with him anymore and slowly looked around the battlefield.

"Victory is mine."

"Tyrant, you butcher of the civilized world."

"I have brought enlightenment, and I will bring new light. Humanity will rise again, and ruling the galaxy will be our destiny."

"You bring a curse. In the name of salvation, you push humanity towards destruction. As long as I have a breath left, I will curse you. One day, everything you have built will turn to dust."

The vicious curse aroused the wrath of the imperial guards.

One of the Custodians stepped forward and struck Moranson with the butt of his spear.

He had no intention of killing Moranson, but his power was too terrifying.

With just one blow, half of the opponent's face was shattered with flesh and bones, and even his eyeballs were beaten into a meat paste, with bright red blood flowing out of his eye sockets.

"That's enough, Sagittarius."

The Emperor called out the Custodian's name, stopping further violence.

He remembered the name of every guard.

Just because they were all created by themselves.

They are cultivated from childhood and each one is a perfect product.

The imperial guard showed a hesitant look, but finally bowed his head and apologized, then walked back to the line.

The Emperor looked at the screaming Moranson with pity.

He can see the essence of things through all illusions.

In his view, Moranson's soul had already become rotten.

Beneath the seemingly human body lies a hideous warp monster.

The claws, as smooth as obsidian, were twisting, and the hideous mouths were laughing, constantly emitting blasphemous and crazy screams.

"Your soul has long been completely corrupted by darkness and has become food for those abominations. I once advised you to stay away from the so-called gods."

"They don't care what you believe in, let alone whether you are pious or not. They just want you to commit one crazy act of violence and killing after another."

Moranson raised his head and opened his mouth to say something to the Emperor.

The Emperor did not listen to his words, but activated the power field of the sword.

The flames wrapped around the sword along the lines on it.

The sword swung down, and Moranson's head fell into the snow.

Many soldiers cheered. At this time, the voice of the commander of the imperial guards, Valdor, sounded in the Emperor's private channel.

"Your Majesty, there is something in the bunker that you should see for yourself."

The bunker where Moranson was hiding was in a mess.

There were rubble, broken bodies, and weapons and equipment emitting black smoke everywhere.

A military unit made up of ordinary people was clearing the fort.

The mangled bodies and charred remains were carried outside using a forklift.

When the Emperor appeared, everyone bowed to him with adoration and awe.

The commander-in-chief of the imperial guards, Valdor, was alone in a room deep in the fortress.

The guards at the door saluted the emperor.

Once inside, the Emperor saw what Valdor wanted Him to see.

On top of a half-meter thick, one-meter high cylinder made of unknown material, there is a strange raven sculpture.

Valdor saluted the Emperor, "I'm sorry, I should have gone out to greet you, Your Majesty."

"It's just that this sculpture is a little strange. When you look away, the memory will disappear from the viewer's mind. Only when you see it again will the relevant memory be restored."

"That's impossible." The Emperor subconsciously objected to Valdor's words, "You have an absolute memory. You will never forget anything you have seen."

"I tried, Your Majesty. I forgot about it when I first left, and only remembered it when I turned around and saw it again."

The Emperor tried to look away.

I found that my memory of the sculpture was fading quietly.

First its specific details, then its general outline.

Before the memory of the sculpture completely disappeared, he turned his gaze back.

The memory of the sculpture reappeared clearly in his mind.

It was so strange that even he couldn't retain his memory of the other person after looking away.

"This thing can be touched, but when I try to destroy it."

Waldo thrust out his halberd violently, and the halberd covered with arcs mysteriously pierced through the sculpture.

It seems that it is not an entity existing in this world, but an illusory projection from a higher dimension.

However, Waldo's other hand was still touching the sculpture's entity.

The Emperor approached the raven sculpture and subconsciously touched the strange sculpture.

[Detecting the protagonist of destiny, initiating the resuscitation procedure]

Rays of light surged and covered the cold sculpture.

After a moment, the raven became alive.

Its feathers are pitch black, its eyes are exceptionally bright, and it can freely escape the influence of gravity and wander in the air.

"Would you like to sign a contract? Mortal, if you wish, you can gain supreme power, wealth, and authority."

The Emperor's expression was as calm as ever, without any emotional fluctuations because the raven sculpture had become a living creature.

"A creature from the warp? Such a clumsy deception technique is really nothing new."

Raven looked at the guy in front of him who was looking down on him.

He has black hair and black eyes, is nearly four meters tall, wears golden armor, is covered in light, and has a crown of thorns on his head.

Turning around, he saw the commander of the imperial guards wearing mica gold armor. In his hand was a halberd with an activated power field, and bright arcs of electricity were leaping from the tip of the halberd.

"A glittering golden giant, golden armor, a halberd, a power weapon, a human, and the screening range I set is the Earth. The psychic power is so terrifying."

Raven muttered, his eyes widening as if he had thought of something.

"Oh my god, are you the Emperor?"

The Emperor looked at the raven, which was shocked after calling out his name, and activated the sword in his hand.

Golden flames rose along the lines on the sword.

The heavy sword body surged with the terrifying power of the end.

The raven flapped its wings and took a few steps back.

"Big guy, don't do it, don't do it. I have connections in the heavens. The risk is a little bit higher, but the benefits are also great. We can cooperate."

"I don't cooperate with demons." The Emperor's voice was extremely cold.

"I am not a demon. I am a traveler across the universe. I am fundamentally different from the demons in your universe."

Raven's words made the Emperor pause.

"Zhu Tian, our universe? Does that mean you are from another universe?"
