Chapter 222 The Two Gods Fear Death, Not You
The story goes that Sun Wukong was in a lake. He plucked a handful of hair and sprayed it downwards, then hundreds of monkeys appeared and landed all over the mansion.

Envoy Feng said, "I have never done anything evil, but I don't know where you got the information that I did evil. I have always been cultivating in the mountains, so when have I ever done anything evil?"

Sun Wukong said: "The landowner of this mountain once said that you have committed many evil deeds and even wanted to harm others. Could it be that he is blaming you?"

Envoy Feng said, "I know the land you are talking about. It has been doing nothing for many years, which has led to many evil spirits harming people in the mountains. How can it blame me now? It is unreasonable, it is unreasonable. You must believe me, I have never done evil, the real evil is the land."

Sun Wukong replied: "If you say so, you are the one who is doing good, and the land god is the one who is doing evil?"

Envoy Feng said, "That's right, that's right."

Sun Wukong swung his golden cudgel and cursed, "You are a liar, confusing right and wrong. You are indeed a monster transformed from a human being, and you are very good at bluffing people. Envoy Feng shouted, "This matter has nothing to do with you, why do you want to get involved? You think you are gods, so do you have to get involved in such trivial matters?"

Sun Wukong shook his head and said, "But if you do good deeds and practice cultivation, who would look for you? But you have committed many evil deeds, never ruled the people when you were alive, and have been a haunter even after death. But all those who practice cultivation will surrender to you!"

Envoy Feng said, "It's easy for you to say that I am causing trouble, but I am not causing trouble. How can I embark on the path of cultivation?"

Sun Wukong said: "Does it have to be a demon to practice cultivation? What a perverted theory."

Envoy Feng asked, "How many years have you been practicing?"

Sun Wukong said: "Hundreds of years."

Envoy Feng asked, "How many years did you spend finding the path to cultivation, and how many years did you spend cultivating your magical powers?"

Sun Wukong told the truth, saying: "It took several years to find the way to practice, and in three or four years I have cultivated magical powers and will live as long as the heavens."

When Envoy Feng heard this, he said angrily, "Do you know how many years I have spent searching for the path of cultivation? If I had not been lucky enough to find the evil ways you mentioned, I would have turned into a handful of dirt by now. How could you know my hardships and come to tell me about evil deeds? If I could cultivate, how could I be willing to be like this now?"

Sun Wukong shook his head and said, "Even if it is so, it is not the reason for you to do evil. I have followed my senior brother Guangxin Zhenren to practice, but I have seen people like you. There are countless people who cannot practice in this life. You can only ask for the next life, but if you do not change your mind, you will definitely get the Dharma in the next life."

Envoy Feng said, "Seeking afterlife? How can I ask for something so illusory and insubstantial?"

Sun Wukong asked: "Why can't I just go and ask for it?"

Envoy Feng said, "How can you know that I will be me in the next life? All is lost when I die. Why would I care about the floods after I die? I have to cultivate in the next life. What does that have to do with this life?"

Sun Wukong pondered for a long time and said, "Since you know how to practice, then you should know about the saying that there are five people in the body and two gods disturbing the mind?"

Envoy Feng replied, "I know about the two gods, but I don't know about the five people among them, but I have heard a little about them."

Sun Wukong said: "You don't know whether the you in the next life is the real you, but how can you know that the you standing here now is the real you? Are you afraid of death in this life?"

Envoy Feng answered "yes". If he was not afraid of death, he would not have taken such an evil path.

Sun Wukong shook his head and said, "The ones who are truly afraid of life and death are the two gods, not you."

Envoy Feng's heart was moved, as if he had understood something, but he quickly suppressed the thought and said, "No matter what you say, I will leave now. Since you don't want me to do evil here, I see that you have supernatural powers, so I will give you face and leave this mountain. You just need to report back and say that I am dead."

Sun Wukong said: "I can't bully my elder brother!"

Upon hearing this, Envoy Feng said nothing more and transformed himself into a tiger, ready to pounce on Sun Wukong. Sun Wukong swung his golden cudgel and struck him on the head.
