Beijing Night Snow

Chapter 13 Why don’t you contact anyone?

Chapter 13 Why don’t you contact anyone?

Chen Yucong heaved a sigh of relief when he heard Song Jinhe talking. He held Song Jinhe in his arms and soothed her gently, "Don't be afraid, it's okay."

Song Jinhe didn't say anything else, just leaned on Chen Yucong's shoulder.

He is always like this, making me reluctant to leave him.

As time passed, half of the drip had been used. Chen Yucong looked down at Song Jinhe and saw that she had her eyes open. He then asked, "How do you feel? Are you feeling better?"

"Much better." Song Jinhe's mood was still bad and her voice was a little hoarse, but her mind was really much clearer and she was no longer groggy and painful.

Chen Yucong looked at Song Jinhe with heartache in his eyes, but he still had to say something: "Why didn't you call me if you felt unwell?"

He didn't want to blame Song Jinhe, but if he hadn't rushed over and found her unconscious from the fever, how long would it take for her to be discovered?

Before Song Jinhe could say anything, Chen Yucong continued, "I know I can't get here in time in Hong Kong, but as long as you call me, I will always find a way."

"Even if you really don't want to contact me, and you think I can't come even if you contact me, you can still contact Zhang Ting or Auntie. Why don't you contact anyone?"

"Song Jinhe, tell me, why?"

Song Jinhe looked at Chen Yucong and her eyes couldn't help but turn red.

Chen Yucong was also very distressed. She had only recovered a little bit, but he started to blame her. However, Chen Yucong was really scared.

This time it’s just a fever, what if it’s something more serious next time?
She still didn't tell him anything, or even anyone else. What should he do?
Song Jinhe tried hard to hold back her tears and said weakly, "I didn't have a fever at the time, I just felt a little dizzy."

"I, I didn't expect to have a fever after falling asleep."

Did you really not realize that you were feeling unwell?

Maybe she noticed it, but she wouldn't tell Chen Yucong. She would just let Chen Yucong think that she really didn't notice it, so she didn't say anything.

Song Jinhe couldn't control her tears from her eyes and felt extremely aggrieved.

After all, Chen Yucong was not cruel enough. Seeing Song Jinhe so upset, he really couldn't say anything harsher.

He reached out his hand and gently wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes with his fingertips, "Don't cry, I really can't do anything with you."

"At least you're okay now."

After all, it was because he was not by Song Jinhe's side. If he was there, wouldn't he be able to notice that she was unwell at the first moment?
Song Jinhe cried for a while before she calmed down. Chen Yucong asked softly, "What do you want to eat? I'll have someone bring some food over."

Chen Yucong knew without asking that Song Jinhe definitely did not have dinner.

Song Jinhe had no appetite at the moment, she didn't want to eat anything, but Chen Yucong was here, so she had to eat even if she didn't want to.

After thinking for a while, Song Jinhe said, "Let's drink porridge."

"it is good."

Chen Yucong made a phone call and had someone deliver the food.

It would take some time for someone to deliver the food. Song Jinhe didn't want to sleep at the moment, so she started chatting with Chen Yucong.

"Why did you come back suddenly? Didn't you say you would come back in two days?" Song Jinhe still remembered what Chen Yucong had said to her before.

"Originally it was supposed to be in two days." Chen Yucong paused, not saying that he suddenly felt uneasy today, "I have finished the work at hand, so I wanted to give you a surprise."

But in the end the surprise turned into a shock.

"I'm sorry I scared you." Song Jinhe looked up at Chen Yucong. Her eyes, which had not yet been swollen, looked so pitiful. Chen Yucong said, "I'm glad you're okay."

It doesn’t matter that he was scared. What matters is that Song Jinhe is okay.

"So you'll be here for the next while?"

"Yeah." Chen Yucong slightly turned his body to allow Song Jinhe to lean more comfortably in his arms. "I'll be here before the New Year. I'll go back to Hong Kong City when the New Year is approaching."

The man lowered his head slightly, nuzzled Song Jinhe intimately, and said in a gentle and magnetic voice, "Will you come back with me then?"

He had previously told Song Jinhe about spending the New Year together in Hong Kong, but they had said it over the phone at the time.

Now Chen Yucong said it more formally in front of Song Jinhe.

"Okay." Song Jinhe didn't test anything, but just agreed. As for the rest, they could talk about it later.

Chen Yucong smiled and moved over to kiss Song Jinhe, but Song Jinhe dodged him.

"I have a fever." Song Jinhe said in a muffled voice.

Finally, Chen Yucong kissed Song Jinhe on the top of her head.

Song Jinhe's illness came and went quickly, and her fever subsided that evening.

But Chen Yucong was worried, so he stayed in the hospital with Song Jinhe for another night. The next morning, after confirming that there were no signs of fever, he was discharged directly from the hospital.

Chen Yucong came back two days earlier than originally scheduled, so there was no work to deal with at the moment, so he stayed in the apartment with Song Jinhe.

It was almost time for lunch and the kitchen was filled with the delicious aroma of pork rib soup. Song Jinhe walked to the kitchen door and saw Chen Yucong, wearing an apron, cooking with ease.

She leaned quietly against the door without saying a word.

But Chen Yucong didn't look back, and he knew Song Jinhe was standing at the door. "Wait a little longer. If you're hungry, have a bowl of soup first."

"No need, we can eat together later." Seeing that Chen Yucong had discovered her, Song Jinhe simply walked in.

Chen Yucong turned his head to look at Song Jinhe, "What are you doing here?"

"Just take a look." Song Jinhe can't cook, not at all. She can only eat instant noodles by soaking them in boiling water.

When Song Jinhe first learned that Chen Yucong could cook and was a good cook, she was very surprised. In her opinion, a man like Chen Yucong should not be the type who can cook.

So until now, Song Jinhe still feels very surprised.

"What's so interesting? It's enough for us to have a meeting at home." Chen Yucong said with a smile.

"What should I do when you're not around?" Song Jinhe asked.

Chen Yucong said, "And Aunt Zhou, don't you like Aunt Zhou's cooking? I will try my best to make her cook longer."

Song Jinhe nodded seriously. She really liked the food Aunt Zhou cooked. She had never told anyone that the food Aunt Zhou cooked tasted very much like her mother's.

Chen Yucong quickly cooked the remaining dishes, brought the food out, and the two sat down to start eating.

"I was originally thinking that you and I would have some free time these two days, so we could go out and relax, but the weather has been bad these two days, and you just had a fever, so you'd better stay at home." Chen Yucong said as he picked up some food for Song Jinhe.
