Chapter 555 Don't Date Others
Jin Tian's heart was pounding, and her ears were burning. She stammered, "You...you can't get so close to me, let me go!"

Liang Jingfeng didn't let go of her. Instead, he lowered his head and pressed his forehead against hers, murmuring, "Sweetie..."

Jin Tian's breath hitched, but she quickly realized what was happening. "Why is your forehead so hot?"

It's not heated properly.

The man didn't care at all, and like a broken record, he kept calling her name, "Sweetie!"

Even if Jin Tian was stupid, she would realize something was wrong. She reached out and touched his face and his hand, both of which were frighteningly hot.

You have a fever.

Liang Jingfeng still didn't react, leaning against her and pressing down on her so much that she could hardly breathe.

"You, you get up..."

Jin Tian reached out to push him, but he was as heavy as a mountain, and she couldn't budge him no matter how hard she tried.

"Driver... driver..." she cried out for help.

Unfortunately, there was a soundproofing device, so the driver couldn't hear it at all.

Left with no other choice, she could only use one hand to randomly press the buttons on that row of keys.

It must have been bumped into randomly, because the barrier slowly rose up.

The driver sat ramrod straight, not daring to glance in the rearview mirror, "Chairman Liang..."

"What kind of Chairman Liang is this!" Jin Tian said angrily, "He's almost burned out! Get him to the hospital!"

"Oh, okay..." The driver paused for a moment, then quickly stepped on the gas.

Liang Jingfeng was delirious from the fever. Paramedics carried him onto the bed, but he still clung tightly to Jin Tian's hand.

Jin Tian was embarrassed, but she tried to remain calm and explained, "He's delirious from the fever."

Everyone knew what was going on, but no one said anything; they focused on saving the patient first.

Jin Tian was forced to sit on the side and watch the doctor examine her.

I really want to turn into a butterfly and fly away.

When the blood test results came back, it turned out to be just a common cold and fever, with no other problems.

Soon, the nurse started an IV drip on him and gave him fever-reducing medication.

An hour later, the fever subsided a bit, but the person was still unconscious.

Jin Tian was a little worried and asked the nurse.

The nurse explained, "He probably hasn't had a proper rest for a long time, which lowered his immunity and caused him to catch a cold. He's sleeping now because his body is repairing itself, so he'll be fine."

Jin Tian nodded, half understanding, and looked down at the man receiving the IV drip. She couldn't help but mutter, "Why aren't you resting properly? You're already so old, why are you trying to be all sentimental like a young person?"

Two hours later, Xia Wu rushed over, "Miss Jin."

For some reason, seeing her made Jin Tian feel a little guilty. "I didn't know he had a fever."

Xia Wu glanced at the man on the hospital bed, but did not hold a grudge against her because her boss was sick.

"Chairman Liang maintains a regular fitness routine and rarely gets sick. This sudden high fever seems to be due to stress and anxiety."

His words even carried a hint of mockery.

"Huh?" Jin Tian didn't understand.

Xia Wu didn't explain further, "I'm going to handle the hospital admission procedures, and I'll have to trouble Miss Jin to take care of Chairman Liang."

Jin Tian gave a guilty smile.

I didn't take care of him; he just kept holding onto my hand and wouldn't let go. Otherwise, I would have left long ago.

After Xia Wu completed the hospitalization procedures, she immediately had Liang Jingfeng transferred to a VIP ward.

The quiet and pleasant environment here is more conducive to patients' rest.

Xia Wu pushed the suitcase brought by the bodyguard to the bedside. "Mr. Liang's personal belongings and changes of clothes are all in the suitcase. I'll trouble Miss Jin to take good care of Mr. Liang these next few days."

"Huh?" Jin Tian's clear black and white pupils widened as she pointed at herself in disbelief: "Me? Taking care of him?"

Xia Wu nodded, "There's a very important collaboration in Nancheng that I need to handle when I get back, so I'll have to trouble you here, Miss Jin."

Jin Tian: “…”

Is this a question of whether it's hard work or not? This is inappropriate!

Before she could speak, Xia Wu had already bowed slightly and turned to leave.

Jin Tian: “…”

She turned to look at the haggard-looking man on the hospital bed, gritting her teeth in bewilderment.

What is all this about?
Liang Jingfeng woke up in the evening. His high fever had subsided, and he had slept for so long. He was in good spirits after waking up.

His dark eyes looked at Jin Tian with a slight smile, "You've always taken care of me."

Jin Tian took a deep breath. "Let go of my hand first, it's numb."

Liang Jingfeng looked down and saw that he had been holding her hand, and his fingers loosened slightly. Jin Tian immediately pulled her arm back and rubbed it.

“Xia Wu came by, but she said she had work in Nancheng and went back,” Jin Tian said succinctly.

He said "hmm" lightly.

Jin Tian added, "The doctor said you need to be observed overnight. If the high fever doesn't recur, you can be discharged tomorrow."

Liang Jingfeng nodded: "Okay."

"Your personal belongings and clothes are all in the suitcase," Jin Tian said, pointing to the black suitcase next to her. "Xia Wu brought them over."

He still didn't say anything, he just kept staring at her.

Jin Tian got annoyed by his staring. "Why are you always staring at me like that?"

“You’re worried about me,” Liang Jingfeng said with certainty.

"Who cares about you?" Jin Tian denied it outright. "Don't try to make yourself look good!"

Liang Jingfeng's expression warmed. "Don't you care?"

"I don't care!" she answered decisively.

He didn't speak, but just stared at her silently, his eyes burning.

Jin Tian's heart pounded uncontrollably as she stood up and said, "I'm going back."

“Sweetie…” Liang Jingfeng called out to her.

Jin Tian paused, turned to look at him, and asked, "Is there anything else?"

"Don't date anyone else, at least not so soon." Liang Jingfeng's Adam's apple bobbed, his voice hoarse. "Give me a little more time."

Give me a little more time to pursue you.

Jin Tian met his deep gaze, her expression pleading. She hesitated for a moment, then bit her lip and said, "He is the son of my mother's friend. I didn't know beforehand."

Liang Jingfeng knew this wasn't her intention, and his heart finally settled down. "Have the driver take you."

Jin Tian did not refuse his kindness and nodded.

"Tiantian..."

Jin Tian sighed: "What is it now?"

A hint of anticipation flickered in Liang Jingfeng's eyes. "Will you come tomorrow?"

"I'm not coming." Jin Tian glanced at him and strode away.

Liang Jingfeng: "..."

As Jin Tian walked out of the hospital, she thought about how old he was, with no relatives or friends, and that Liang Teng and Sister Hanyue probably wouldn't take care of him.

Before leaving, Sister Xia Wu asked me to take care of him, and I was afraid that if anything happened to him, I would be letting Sister Xia Wu down.

After thinking for a moment, I turned around and went to a restaurant near the hospital. I got a meal to go, and all the dishes were chosen according to his taste.

He turned back to the hospital, walked to the ward door, and handed it to the bodyguard, saying, "Don't tell him I bought it."

The bodyguard paused for a moment, then took the takeout and nodded, "Oh."

He turned and went into the ward. Jin Tian was about to leave, but before she had taken two steps, she heard the bodyguard's voice coming from inside the ward...

"Ms. Jin said she didn't buy it."

Jin Tian stumbled and almost fell to the ground.
