Chapter 520 Uncle
"It started at seven in the morning, and it's almost noon now." Jin Tian couldn't hide the fear in her eyes. "Do you think the surgery might..."

“This kind of brain surgery is very complex and will definitely take a long time. Don’t scare yourself.” Liang Jingfeng interrupted her, not wanting her to keep thinking about these things, and changed the subject, “Have you not eaten anything?”

"I can't eat." Jin Tian clenched her fingers tightly.

Just as Liang Jingfeng was about to speak, the operating room door opened, and a nurse called out, "Zhong Jiali's family member!"

"It is I!" Jin Tian quickly stood up, but when she tried to walk over, she twisted her ankle and almost fell.

Liang Jingfeng caught her in time, saying, "Be careful."

The nurse came over, looking relaxed: "The test results show that the tumor is benign, the surgery was very successful, and the family doesn't need to worry."

Jin Tian instinctively covered her face with her hands, her eyes wide open, almost unable to believe her ears.

"Family members can go back to the ward first, and we will take the patient back to the ward when she wakes up."

After saying that, the nurse went back into the operating room.

Jin Tian hugged him tightly, bursting into tears of joy: "It's alright, my mom is alright... That's wonderful, that's really wonderful."

Liang Jingfeng was surprised that she would hug him. His body stiffened suddenly, but his heart softened completely.

Looking down at the top of her head, a faint fragrance wafted from her hair. He smiled slightly and said, "Yes, your mother is alright."

Jin Tian hugged him for a full minute before she realized what was happening, and quickly let go, apologizing, "I'm sorry, I was just too happy, that's why..."

Liang Jingfeng wasn't angry at her physical contact; on the contrary, as she left, his arms felt empty, and his heart felt empty as well.

"Now can you come with me to get something to eat?"

"Ok?"

Liang Jingfeng looked helpless. "I've been busy all night, and the airplane food is really not good."

Jin Tian then realized that he had come all the way from Nancheng and hadn't eaten anything.

"My treat!"

Liang Jingfeng didn't argue with her. "Okay."

There weren't many good restaurants near the hospital, so Jin Tian picked one that looked decent and let Liang Jingfeng order.

Liang Jingfeng ordered several dishes, all of which were her favorites.

He noticed during their last meal at Qiyunli that she preferred sour and spicy food and didn't like sweet or bland dishes.

Jin Tian was unaware of his thoughts and was still immersed in the joy of the successful surgery when she sent messages to Liang Hanyue and the others.

There weren't many people in the restaurant at the moment, and the food was served quickly.

Liang Jingfeng first served her a bowl of soup, and then served her some vegetables.

Jin Tian put down her phone and saw the soup and dishes in front of her. She looked at the man opposite her and said, "Thank you, Mr. Liang!"

"Are you really going to keep calling me President Liang?" Liang Jingfeng asked, frowning.

"Huh?" Jin Tian's eyes widened.

"I call you Sweetie, can you call me something else?" Liang Jingfeng felt that calling him President Liang seemed too formal.

Jin Tian bit her lip, somewhat hesitant, "But what can I call you?"

They are so far apart in age, it seems impolite to call them by their names.

Liang Jingfeng thought for a moment, "You young people are into nicknames and aliases, so just think of one."

"We call those who are older than us 'little brother,' those who are younger than us 'little brother,' and those who are much older than us 'uncle.'"

Jin Tian tentatively asked, "Then should I call you Uncle?"

Liang Jingfeng: "..."

Jin Tian sensed that he probably didn't like that title, "How about calling me Mr. Liang?"

"Just call me 'Uncle' if you feel comfortable with it."

Mr. Liang is not as good as General Manager Liang.

Jin Tian sipped her soup and smiled, "I think Uncle is pretty good!" Liang Jingfeng didn't argue; if she thought he was good, then so be it.

Liang Jingfeng had dinner with her and they went back to the hospital together.

Zhong Jiali has been transferred back to her ward from the operating room. She woke up briefly and then fell asleep again.

Jin Tian sat by the hospital bed, looking at the bandage wrapped around her head, the oxygen mask on her face, her eyes red and filled with heartache.

"The surgery was a success, and your mother will recover soon," Liang Jingfeng said softly.

Jin Tian hummed in agreement and turned to look at him. "You haven't rested all night, go back and get some rest. I'll treat you to a good meal in a couple of days when my mother's condition improves."

Liang Jingfeng: "No need!"

"Absolutely." Jin Tian said earnestly, "If you hadn't invited the expert from Nancheng, the surgery definitely wouldn't have gone so smoothly. I really want to thank you properly!"

Seeing how serious she was, Liang Jingfeng didn't refuse anymore. "Alright, then I'll come to visit your mother again in a couple of days."

Jin's dessert.

"You should get some rest. Xia Wu came with me this time; she'll stay here to help you."

A look of surprise flashed across Jin Tian's eyes, and she quickly waved her hand, "No need to trouble Xia Wu..."

"Don't worry about troubling her, the salary I pay is fair to her work." Liang Jingfeng is always generous to his own people.

"Okay, thank you then."

She said thank you countless times that day.

Liang Jingfeng didn't want to listen anymore. "I'm leaving now."

Jin Tian only saw him off to the door of the ward. After he left, Xia Wu came in, carrying a thermos.

"This is porridge that I ordered from Wangyuelou. I specifically asked that it be given to the patient."

Jin Tian took the thermos. "Thank you. May I call you Sister Xia Wu?"

Xia Wu was taken aback, then chuckled and said, "It's possible, but it's best not to call him that in front of President Liang."

Jin Tian asked, puzzled, "Why?"

"He's my boss, and you're Mrs. Liang," Xia Wu subtly reminded him, emphasizing the difference in their status.

If the boss finds out that he makes his wife call him "sister," his career is over.

Jin Tian wanted to say that it wasn't true, but then she thought that she was also a worker, so why make things difficult for her?

"Then I'll call him privately."

Xia Wu nodded. "I'll be right outside. Call me anytime if you need anything."

"Outside? You should stay in your room." There's only a hard bench outside, which is very uncomfortable to sit on.

There is at least a sofa in the room.

"No need, please take good care of Auntie." Xia Wu declined her offer and turned to leave the ward.

Jin Tian placed the thermos on the bedside table, sat down and looked at her still unconscious mother, "Mom, Mr. Liang is very good, and the people around him... are also very good."

Both Xia Wu and Liang Teng treated her very well.

And all of this is because of Liang Jingfeng.

**
When Zhong Jiali woke up in the afternoon, Jin Tian carefully fed her a few mouthfuls of porridge.

She woke up but fell asleep again shortly after.

Jin Yanchen and Liang Hanyue came to visit that evening, and Qin Yishen came along as well.

"Sweetie, why didn't you tell me about something this big last time?" Qin Yishen said seriously, "If I had known, I would have come to see Auntie much sooner."

Jin Tian looked a little embarrassed. "It wasn't that I meant to hide it; I just didn't want you to worry. You're quite busy with work every day!"

After all, he was just Jin Yanchen's friend, and she didn't want to trouble him with something like this.

Sorry to bother Brother Yishen, but I'm so sorry to bother Uncle Liang! ^_^ [Second Update | See you tomorrow]
