Chapter 406 Afraid of Him
Jin Tian nodded, "I know. I had already decided before I called the police and agreed to marry you. I would keep this matter buried in my heart for the rest of my life and never mention it again. Don't worry!"

Jin Yanting was the one who started that incident; both he and Liang Jingfeng were victims.

She herself lost her innocence, and Liang Jingfeng's reputation was also damaged. As Sister Hanyue said, there were no winners in this matter.

Liang Zhoushan shook his head. "You still don't understand."

"Huh?" Jin Tian blinked her clear, innocent eyes, not understanding what he meant.

"If he's had any woman he wanted all these years, he wouldn't have lost control just because of a little alcohol! The fact that he could have sex with you means that his physical desires are with you."

Jin Tian's pupils contracted, and she remained silent for a long time.

Liang Zhoushan smiled enigmatically, "Perhaps he himself doesn't even realize it, and can only justify his foolishness by saying it was a drunken act."

Jin Tian felt extremely cold, as if she were in an ice cave.

In other words, if Liang Jingfeng had no physical desire for himself, nothing could have happened that night.

Jin Tian didn't hear what Liang Zhoushan said after that, and finally walked out of the room in a daze.

Liang Jingfeng, who had been waiting impatiently in the courtyard, saw her come out and quickly walked over.

Seeing her pale face, his eyes narrowed slightly. "What did he say?"

Jin Tian looked up and met his calm eyes. Thinking of Liang Zhoushan's words, she couldn't help but shiver and subconsciously took a step back.

It seems she's... afraid of him!

Liang Jingfeng noticed this and felt a little uncomfortable, but he didn't show it. He comforted her, saying, "No matter what he said, you don't need to care. No one can make decisions for me."

Jin Tian remained silent, her gaze towards him filled with a complex mix of emotions, including fear.

"Let's go, I'll take you back to your room." Liang Jingfeng didn't ask any further questions.

Jin Tian stood still, saying, "I... want to go back to the capital."

Liang Jingfeng paused, turned around and said, "Applying for a flight takes time, let's go back and rest first."

She looked really unwell.

"I'll take the next flight back." Jin Tian just wanted to leave the Liang family and get out of this man's sight right now, immediately.

Liang Jingfeng could sense her avoidance and distance from him, nodded, and immediately called Xia Wu.

After arranging everything, he looked up and said, "I'll take you back to pack your things."

“I can manage on my own,” Jin Tian said hastily. “Go do your thing, don’t worry about me.”

Liang Jingfeng's hand holding the phone clenched involuntarily; he had never been so disliked in all these years.

"This place is too big and you can easily get lost. Don't move, I'll send someone to pick you up."

When you're done, turn around and leave.

Jin Tian stood there, lost in thought.

When Xia Wu came over, she saw her squatting on the ground, thin and small, which made her look very pitiful.

"Madam, are you feeling unwell?" Xia Wu helped her up. "Should we call a doctor to take a look?"

"Don't call me Mrs.," she retorted sharply, instinctively resisting the word "Mrs."

Perhaps her voice was too loud, because Xia Wu was startled.

Jin Tian snapped out of her daze, lowered her eyes, and apologized, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..."

Xia Wu smiled faintly, "It's alright, I'll take you back to your room to rest for a while."

Jin Tian didn't say anything more.

She brought very little with her this time; besides two sets of clothes to change into, she brought nothing else.

A small carry-on suitcase stood quietly beside the sofa, just like her—small and quiet. An hour later, Xia Wu took her to the airport.

I booked business class, went through a special channel, and boarded the plane with no problems.

Xia Wu saw her off at the airport before returning to the company to report back.

"I've already spoken to the flight attendant, and they'll take good care of my wife throughout the trip."

Liang Jingfeng nodded. "Did she say anything?"

Xia Wu replied, "My wife said that when you have time to go to the capital, you should also pick up the divorce certificate."

Liang Jingfeng raised an eyebrow: "Nothing else?"

Xia Wu didn't know what he was referring to. In fact, Jin Tian had kept her head down and didn't say anything the whole way, and only said that one sentence before boarding the plane, so she shook her head.

Liang Jingfeng lowered his eyes, remained silent for a few seconds, and said indifferently, "You can leave now."

After Xia Wu left, he got up and walked to the window to overlook the scenery of the entire southern city.

He had only shown her some kindness out of respect for Liang Hanyue. Since the young lady didn't appreciate it, why should he bother making a fool of himself?

Having figured this out, Liang Jingfeng returned to his desk, nothing able to distract him from his work.

***
Neil's death kept Liang Hanyue awake all night, and she stayed home to rest instead of going to the company the next day.

When Jin Tian came back, she was curled up on the sofa reading a script.

Chen Mu specially delivered it; it was a red-themed item specified by the authorities, so there was no way to refuse.

Fortunately, her role isn't large, so she won't be on set for too long.

Seeing Jin Tian push her suitcase in, he put down the script, looked up, and said, "You're back."

Jin Tian walked straight toward the elevator as if she hadn't heard anything.

Liang Hanyue asked in confusion, "Sweet, sweet..."

Jin Tian snapped out of her daze, her eyes filled with confusion, "Huh?"

"Are you alright?" Liang Hanyue noticed her expression was off, got up and walked over, asking with concern, "Did they give you a hard time?"

Jin Tian snapped out of her daze and shook her head: "No, no."

"If you won't tell me, then I'll call them and ask." Liang Hanyue said, reaching for her phone.

"Sister Hanyue..." Jin Tian grabbed her wrist, her eyes filled with complicated doubts and confusion.

Liang Hanyue had the maid take her suitcase to her room, then pulled her to sit on the second-floor balcony. "Your brother isn't home. If there's anything you need, just tell me."

After a few seconds of pause, she said, "You don't need to worry about whether my status in the Liang family will be awkward. I have never cared about being the fourth young lady of the Liang family."

Jin Tian pursed her lips. "Your grandfather gave me a big red envelope and a gift, and also said a few words to me privately."

"What?" Liang Hanyue asked.

Jin Tian took a deep breath, bit her lip, and suppressed her shame as she spoke Liang Zhoushan's words.

A hint of surprise flashed in Liang Hanyue's eyes, but she couldn't refute his words.

After Jin Tian finished speaking, she looked at her timidly, "Sister Hanyue, is what he said true? Liang Jingfeng only did it because he had physical desires for me..."

"If I said yes, would you find him disgusting?" Liang Hanyue asked.

Jin Tian bit her lip, tears welling up in her eyes. "Why? Why me of all? A man like him could have any woman he wanted, but why me? He's so old, he could almost be my father... He..."

Her voice choked, and tears streamed down her face uncontrollably.

She never imagined she would have anything with someone so much older.
