Chapter 70: Nine Panlongs, the Gate of Life Beyond the Eight Trigrams
Chapter 70: Nine Coiled Dragons, the Gate of Life Beyond the Eight Diagrams
As he was speaking, Su Mo saw that the entrance to the tunnel had been open for a long time and the foul air inside had almost dissipated, so he jumped directly down from the entrance.
Hubayi and the others quickly followed.
However, the tunnel was still inclined downward at a 40-degree angle, and extended towards one side of the cave, which was exactly what Su Mo expected.
If this is a Tai Chi feng shui layout, then this is the Yang fish formation eye of the Liang Yi, and the coffin in the Hades Palace over there is the Yin fish formation eye. The key to the Feng Shui layout lies between the Yin and Yang fish.
There are no mechanisms, mazes, or soul-hanging ladders in the tunnel. After all, the purpose of designing this place is to break the feng shui impasse. The previous soul-hanging ladder was ingenious enough, and the entrance to the passage in the Yangyu Formation is extremely secret. One must be proficient in the art of Yin and Yang and mazes to open it, so there is no need to be mysterious here.
After walking forward for dozens of meters, I came to a circular cave in front of me. The area of this cave was not very large. It was designed completely according to the layout of the round sky and square earth. There was a dome-shaped cave ceiling above and a square stone chamber below.
However, one side of the stone chamber is smooth and flat, while the other side has rows of tomb walls, which seems to be an overlap between the Western Zhou Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty tombs.
Right in the middle of the stone chamber, there is a round stone ball with nine coiled dragons entwined under the ball. The nine dragons are entwined and wrapped around the bottom of the stone ball with their heads opening their mouths upwards, which looks very beautifully carved.
There is actually a stone tablet under the stone ball with many words engraved on it. Because no one has ever entered here, the words on the stone tablet are still very clear.
Huba walked over, wiped the dust off the stone tablet, and began to read:
"I have been a military officer of Emperor Taizong since the second year of Emperor Gaozu's Wude reign. I have not made any contribution to the country. I have only assisted the Tang Dynasty with what I have learned throughout my life. I am already sixty years old and should not go against the will of heaven..."
This inscription was indeed written by Li Chunfeng.
This Li Chunfeng was a remarkable man in the Tang Dynasty. He was a Taoist priest, proficient in astronomy, numerology, the Book of Changes, and yin and yang. He experienced the late Sui Dynasty and early Tang Dynasty in his life, and served as an official in the dynasties of Tang Taizu Li Yuan, Tang Taizong Li Shimin, and Tang Gaozong Li Zhi. He was proficient in divination, and it was rumored that he and Yuan Tiangang jointly wrote the immortal book Tuibei Tu.
According to the inscription, this Feng Shui bureau was built in the first year of Xianheng during the reign of Emperor Gaozong of Tang, which was the year Li Chunfeng died.
Li Chunfeng discovered through divination that Empress Wu was in danger of replacing the Tang Dynasty, and he was quite worried. It happened that Empress Wu's mother, Lady Rongguo, died of illness that year, so Empress Wu immediately ordered Li Chunfeng to find a suitable burial place for her mother.
After visiting, Li Chunfeng found a tomb with a hidden treasure in Longling. If Wu Zetian buried her mother here, it would certainly be of great help to her in ruling the country and replacing the Tang Dynasty with the Zhou Dynasty.
When Empress Wu found out, she was overjoyed and immediately ordered Li Chunfeng to supervise the construction of the mausoleum. However, after digging halfway, she discovered that there was also a Western Zhou tomb here. Having two tombs in one place has always been a taboo for the ancients, let alone for Empress Wu's mother. Therefore, the construction of the mausoleum was hastily completed halfway. The craftsmen sealed the entrance with stone bars and iron juice, then buried the mausoleum and evacuated.
But in fact, this was Li Chunfeng's plan. The reason why he asked Empress Wu to build a tomb for her mother here was to create a feng shui layout here.
Although Wu Zetian's mother was not buried there, half of the mausoleum had been built. Together with the half of the Western Zhou tomb, Li Chunfeng built the Soul-Hanging Ladder between the two tombs, and built the Yang Fish Formation Eye on the other side of the coffin, creating a Tai Chi Yin-Yang Feng Shui Formation, and finally built this stone chamber between the Yin-Yang Formation Eyes.
Nine coiled dragons are coiled around a stone ball in the stone chamber, absorbing the spiritual energy from the yin and yang formations to achieve the purpose of yin and yang balance, thereby strengthening the fortune of the Li Tang Dynasty and preventing Wu Zetian from overthrowing the Li Tang Dynasty and establishing the Zhou Dynasty to replace the Tang Dynasty.
After Li Chunfeng had done all this, he knew that he was going against the will of Heaven and would inevitably be punished by Heaven, so he left an inscription here, describing his merits and demerits in his life and the purpose of building this Feng Shui bureau.
After creating this Feng Shui situation, Li Chunfeng suddenly fell seriously ill in the same year and died. The Tang Dynasty archives "Jia Ku Jia Li" recorded that Li Chunfeng "died suddenly", and Emperor Gaozong of Tang, Li Zhi, issued a "reinstatement edict" to reinstate Li Chunfeng as "Grand Historian".
After Hubayi and Dajinya finished reading the inscription haltingly, they both suddenly realized something.
No wonder this Western Zhou tomb overlaps with the Tang tomb, and no wonder this Tang tomb was hastily completed after being only half built. The craftsmen even sealed the entrance with stone bars and abandoned it. No wonder there are no burial objects in the Western Zhou tomb.
It turns out that this was actually a Feng Shui maze created by Li Chunfeng more than a thousand years ago!
After listening to the explanations of Da Jin Ya and Huba Yi, Fatty Wang grinned:
"Since this old man Li Chunfeng built a Feng Shui bureau here, he must have left something valuable. I heard that the Tui Bei Tu was written by him and Yuan Tiangang. If we can find the original Tui Bei Tu here, it will be priceless!"
Su Mo shook his head and said with a smile:
"In my opinion, the possibility of finding the original book of Tui Bei Tu here is lower than your chance of winning the jackpot. After all, Li Chunfeng's original intention was to build a Feng Shui bureau here to trap Wu Zetian's luck. Apart from what is needed for the Feng Shui bureau, there won't be any other treasures."
When Fatty Wang heard this, he couldn't help but feel disappointed:
"Well! This trip to the Lantern Festival is not called the Lantern Festival. It's a waste of time!"
Su Mo smiled faintly and said nothing.
For the fat man, this trip might be in vain, but for him it is definitely not in vain.
Since Li Chunfeng created a Feng Shui maze here to trap Wu Zetian's luck, he would definitely place things here to increase Li Tang's luck.
This stone ball is surrounded by nine dragons, and there might be dragon bones hidden inside it!
After all, ancient emperors believed themselves to be true dragon emperors, so using dragon bones to absorb the luck of Longling was the most appropriate thing to do!
Su Mo then walked to the side of the stone ball and carefully observed the stone ball and the nine coiled dragons on it.
The surface of this stone ball looks very smooth, as if it was carved out of one piece, without a single visible line, and there is no visible gap between the relief dragon below and the stone ball.
But Su Mo knew that since Li Chunfeng placed this stone ball here, it must be no simple matter. In the final analysis, it must be cracked by the Yin-Yang Liuren technique.
He thought about it carefully, then grabbed one of the nine coiled dragons.
Tai Chi gives birth to two rituals, two rituals give birth to four images, and four images give birth to gossip.
The positions of the nine coiled dragons on the stone ball are completely arranged according to the eight trigrams of Qian, Kan, Gen, Zhen, Xun, Li, Kun and Dui.
Only the coiled dragon held by Su Mo was outside the Bagua and looked like the exit of life in the Bazhen Diagram!
