Chapter 207 Celestial Immortal Technique

Chapter 207 Celestial Immortal Technique
"Grandmother asked Fifth Sister to accompany the Stone Monkey, but in reality, it was just a pretext to let her accumulate magical power outside the heavens. The spiritual energy outside the heavens is abundant, which is incomparable to that of this world. Brother Jin, you don't need to worry," said the Seventh Fairy.

"That's good then." Ding Lin nodded. He had known the Fifth Fairy for a long time and had some relationship with her. It wasn't all pretense, but there was still a distance between them. To be honest, they were only half sincere and half fake.

"However, this 'Celestial Immortal Manual' was indeed a favor that Fifth Sister begged for a long time, almost angering Grandmother again," the Seventh Fairy said.

Ding Lin didn't speak, and his eyes seemed to dim.

“Brother Jin, let’s leave it at that for now. I’ll go back to cultivate, and you can study this technique first.”

The Seventh Fairy said, turning around, but not leaving immediately. She thought for a moment, as if pondering, then turned back to look at Ding Lin and continued.

"This manual is all-encompassing and extremely obscure. Brother Jin, if you encounter any parts you don't understand, you can come and consult it. I have been practicing this 'Celestial Immortal Manual' since I was a child, and I always carry various classics given to me by my grandmother, which you can refer to."

"Thank you, fairy."

Ding Lin thanked him, saying that this was exactly what he needed right now.

"Then, I'll go back first."

The Seven Fairy Maidens turned around, and with a leap, they sped towards their own jade house, which was more than ten miles away.

This time, he's really gone.

Ding Lin watched the Seven Fairies' departing figures for a few breaths before turning away and walking towards the pavilion. His steps remained steady and unhurried, but his breathing suddenly became rapid the moment he turned. He sat down in the pavilion, took several deep breaths, and then readjusted his mood before slowly and expectantly probing his thoughts into the jade slip.

The Celestial Immortal Technique!
The first thing you see are three large characters, followed by a lengthy preface:

"Gods have ranks, and immortals also have levels. I have observed that the Golden Book of the Dao Ancestor divides them into Heaven, Earth, Gods, Humans, and Ghosts..."

"This technique is easy to learn but difficult to master..."

"...Once the technique is mastered through nine cycles, one will surely enter the realm of celestial immortals. The golden book has no name, so I will tentatively call it the 'Celestial Immortal Technique'..."

Ding Lin calmed down a bit. This "Celestial Immortal Manual" was not as he had imagined, where as long as one cultivated it, one would definitely become a celestial immortal.

The Celestial Immortal Manual divides the realm before the Immortal Realm into nine levels. The first level is simple and encompasses everything below the primordial spirit.

Only from the second level onwards can one touch upon the divine soul; a thousand years of cultivation is enough to enter the path.

For the primordial spirit, a thousand years of cultivation is indeed a very low threshold, which is what the I Ching mentioned in the preface refers to.

From the second level onwards, each additional level requires not only a thorough understanding of the corresponding scriptures but also an additional thousand years of spiritual cultivation.

That is, it takes two thousand years of cultivation to cultivate to the third level, and three thousand years of cultivation to cultivate to the fourth level.

The fifth level is a watershed moment. Upon reaching the fifth level and possessing four thousand years of cultivation, if the practitioner is limited by their natural talent and cannot further increase their cultivation, they can attempt to ascend to immortality. They can burn their physical body to create resources, forcibly raising their cultivation to five thousand years, reaching the minimum level of the late-stage Nascent Soul realm. Then, using a secret method, they can achieve ultimate sublimation, thus gaining a chance to ascend to immortality. Those who succeed by chance become Ghost Immortals. Those who cultivate to the sixth level already possess five thousand years of cultivation and are at the late-stage Nascent Soul realm. If they attempt to ascend to immortality at this level, they might be able to preserve their physical body and achieve Human Immortal status.

The seventh level is different again; it is a new threshold. In the preface written by that unnamed great being, the seventh level is referred to as Minor Success.

Those who achieve minor success are those who are about to succeed but have not yet succeeded.

The entry requirement for the seventh level of "The Celestial Immortal Manual" is no longer six thousand years of cultivation, but seven thousand years.

Starting from this level, the "Celestial Immortal Technique" becomes increasingly difficult. The seventh level is also known as the Seventh Transformation, where magical power circulates and is refined within the body, undergoing additional sublimation and tempering.

A seven-story building is called a seven-turn building, an eight-story building is called an eight-turn building, and a nine-story building is called a nine-turn building.
Those who can cultivate to the seventh level must have accumulated at least seven thousand years of cultivation. They must have comprehended the metal element when they reached the Dan realm to be able to reach this stage in the Yuan Shen realm.

After cultivating the "Celestial Immortal Technique" to the seventh level, the cultivation has undergone seven transformations. Even without external assistance, human cultivators have a 50% chance of ascending to immortality, while those born into the demon race have a 30% chance. Most likely, they can only become gods or earth immortals. There is also a 50% chance. However, because they possess the metal element, the path to celestial immortality is not completely severed, and there may be a very slight possibility of achieving it.

The eighth level of the "Celestial Immortal Technique" involves eight cycles of cultivation, a further advancement from the seventh level. It requires eight thousand years of cultivation to reach this level. If one is a human cultivator, the chance of successfully transcending the tribulation is as high as 90%, and even for demons, it is 60%. The chances of becoming a Celestial Immortal are roughly equal, with half being a Divine Immortal and half a Earth Immortal, and even 10% being a Celestial Immortal.

Ding Lin had completely calmed down. He recalled what the Seven Fairy Maidens had said: "After you have mastered the technique, you will surely become a celestial being." Mastering the technique was not the same as cultivating it. The former was a state, while the latter was just a beginning. The Seven Fairy Maidens were not lying. Indeed, there was no such thing as a free lunch in this world.

However, even so, this "Celestial Immortal Manual" is no ordinary manual. It is many times more advanced than the "Black Water Scripture" that he cultivated. The "Black Water Scripture" only recorded one sentence about ascending to immortality: "There is hope of ascending to immortality." It dared not mention the rest. However, the "Celestial Immortal Manual" clearly stated the possibility in the preface.

Ding Lin now possesses 8,500 years of cultivation. After he switched to cultivating the "Celestial Immortal Technique," this cultivation is sufficient to support him in cultivating to the eighth stage. The technique itself alone has a more than 50% chance of success. With the addition of other methods, it can be said that ascending to immortality is now highly probable.

After ascending to immortality, at the very least one can attain the status of a divine immortal, possessing both spiritual and physical perfection. With the addition of that trace of golden essence, one can still retain the hope of becoming a Golden Immortal.

In this life, he had never dared to dream of such an outcome when he first began cultivating. But now, he felt a sense of despondency. It was because Ding Lin himself had placed too high an expectation on himself after hearing the words "Celestial Immortal Technique" again. He had unconsciously raised his expectations, and the greater the hope, the greater the disappointment.

Ding Lin continued reading.

"The Immortal Technique has undergone nine cycles of refinement over nine thousand years. When it reaches its ultimate sublimation and ascends to the highest realm, achieving the forty-ninefold success, it is considered a great accomplishment and can be called the 'Grand Celestial Immortal Technique'..."

The Great Celestial Immortal Manual.

The words were exactly the same as those in my memory, completely confirming my previous guess.

The same technique as the stone monkey.

However, Ding Lin's emotions were limited at this moment. Although the techniques were the same, he did not have the talent of the stone monkey.

Eight turns and nine turns may seem to differ by only one level, but in reality they are completely different.

The name "Great Celestial Immortal Technique" itself suggests that the ninth stage is a completely different world, a realm that only true geniuses can reach. Although it is recorded in the "Celestial Immortal Technique," it is actually a separate technique that can be listed separately.
