Chapter 205 The Seven Fairies

"How fast," the old man said, looking at the woman in green. "When I found you back then, you were half dead from the miasma. You were dull and couldn't even speak clearly. Only a few hundred years have passed, and in the blink of an eye, you have already become a Golden Immortal and can stand on your own."

The old man smiled, his voice softening. He raised his head slightly; though the dome was high, it didn't reach the sky, and the stone walls blocked his view at the edge. So he lowered his eyelids again, his eyes becoming increasingly cloudy.

"Too fast," the old man said, seemingly praising the woman in green, yet also reminiscing about something else, a hint of sadness showing on his deeply lined face. "Time really flies..."

"Xiao Yi, I called you here because I need you to do something." The old man pulled himself out of his thoughts and looked at Qing Yi again.

"Master, please give your instructions," said the woman in green.

The old man flipped his hand, and a row of official documents flew out from his palm, lining up in front of him. He casually picked one up, and with a flick of his finger, he wrote the three characters "Kang Jinlong" in the blank space at the very top of the document.

"Gather the soul into a thought, leaving a trace of the soul imprinted in this document," the old man said.

Qingyi obeyed.

"In that case, you are now Kang Jinlong, who has been registered as an immortal." A smile appeared on the old man's face.

Qingyi's eyes flashed. The moment the thought entered her mind, her thoughts expanded infinitely. In an instant, she saw a star, and an invisible connection was formed between her and the Kang constellation, one of the seven constellations of the Northern Azure Dragon.

It really is a star official.

However, though they are registered in the register of immortals, they are not registered in the register of heaven. They have no cause but have an effect, and they have a name but no substance.

A hint of doubt flashed in Qingyi's eyes, but she said nothing, knowing that her master had his own considerations. So she put her hands down and waited quietly to see if the old man had any other instructions.

"Xiao Yi, don't worry, it hasn't come to the point where you need to do anything. Your master isn't too old to move. I'm just letting you all have a nominal title and a share of the Star Origin." The old man explained simply, "Go and call your junior brothers and senior brothers here."

"Yes," the woman in green agreed and turned to leave the hall.

"Xiao Yi, things haven't been peaceful these days," the old man's voice rang out behind her as she took a step, accompanied by a surge of magical energy. Qing Yi paused, turned around, and saw the old man lazily wave his hand. A feather appeared out of thin air and floated towards her. Qing Yi reached out and caught it. The feather gently floated into her palm. Since the dragon was of the water element, the feather instantly became heavy upon touching her palm, transforming into a scale. "This is one of my scale feathers. With it, you can freely enter and leave the Azure Netherworld. If you encounter any difficulties outside, remember to protect yourself first."

"Thank you, Master." The woman in green was deeply moved.

"Alright, you can go now," the old man said.

The woman in green bowed and withdrew.

heaven.

Pantaoyuan.

Ding Lin closed his eyes to cultivate, but in fact, since his cultivation reached 8,500 years ago, his progress has been minimal, and he has indeed reached his current limit.

Within the same realm, to cultivate to a higher level, one relies on nothing more than opportunity, foundation, and techniques.

Ding Lin was originally just a red carp in the lower realm, with shallow foundations. His cultivation journey to this point relied entirely on a series of fortuitous encounters, gradually enriching his foundation. The *Black Water Scripture* he cultivated was only of the third rank among the four categories of magical scriptures. While not exactly a hindrance, it offered little benefit at this point. Scriptures were only sufficient to lead to immortality, and Ding Lin had already exhausted the last chapter of the *Black Water Scripture*, except for the final section on achieving immortality.

……

It's early morning again.

Ding Lin woke up as usual, and was stunned for a moment. The cold female voice that usually urged him to take inventory was not there, which made him feel a little uncomfortable.

Open your eyes.

As expected, they changed the person in charge.

A slender figure stood quietly in the mist not far away. As if sensing that Ding Lin had woken up, she turned around, her appearance gentle yet strong.

Ding Lin was stunned for a moment. He actually recognized the person who came. It was the Weaver Girl, or rather, the Seventh Fairy.

Upon seeing Ding Lin awaken from his cultivation, the Seven Fairies managed a faint smile.

"Brother Jin...?" The Seventh Fairy was a little reserved, and her address was somewhat awkward. "Since Fifth Sister calls you that, I'll just call you that too. Is that alright?"

“Of course,” Ding Lin said. Although he knew the Seven Fairies, he only knew them. Although they had spent time together in the past, they were either on the run or fighting and bleeding, and they didn’t have time to say more than a few words. They were not actually familiar with each other.

"Greetings, granddaughter." Ding Lin hesitated for a moment before addressing her.

“Brother Jin, please don’t address me like that anymore,” said the Seventh Fairy, a bitter look on her face. “We sisters have been stripped of our titles as granddaughters and our duties have been removed because we violated the heavenly rules. We were spared any other punishment thanks to our grandmother’s mercy. Now I am just a low-ranking fairy. If you don’t mind, Brother Jin, you can call me Little Seven like my sisters do.”

Ding Lin then noticed that the Seventh Fairy was not wearing the purple feathered robe he had seen once in the mortal realm, but a robe of the same style as his, half blue and half gray. Her black hair was tied up, and perhaps because the matter of the Cowherd had been resolved, although there was still a trace of melancholy in her eyes, she was much more cheerful and bright than when he had seen her in the mortal realm.

"Fairy, she's been transferred to the Peach Garden," Ding Lin asked knowingly.

“Yes,” the Seventh Fairy nodded, “My cultivation has reached the Nascent Soul stage, and it’s time for me to accumulate magical power. But as a person with a criminal record, I cannot go to the Outer Heaven. So my aunt found an excuse to put me in this Peach Garden so that I could use the spiritual energy in the garden to cultivate.”

Ding Lin remained outwardly calm, but inwardly he was somewhat astonished. As expected of a descendant of a phoenix and a dragon, he had gone to great lengths to enter the Peach Garden, which was considered a reward from above. However, the Seven Fairies were treated as a substitute with reduced treatment because of their mistakes.

"Did the fairy accept the task of fetching water?" Ding Lin asked again.

The Seven Fairies shook their heads: "Like Brother Jin, I was also assigned by the stewardess to guard this pool. The fairy maid who fetched water earlier has already come by. I saw that you were still cultivating, Brother Ding, so I fetched water with her myself."

That's right. If someone with connections like myself can be given an easy job, how could the real masters above actually assign me any real work? Of course, they'd just put me wherever it's easy and lucrative. After all, I'm just here under the guise of being exiled to cultivate myself.

"Then we will ..."

Ding Lin was only halfway through his sentence when his heart suddenly skipped a beat. The Seven Fairies had arrived. Would he be transferred to another place? After all, no matter how you looked at it, such a small pond didn't seem like it needed two people to guard it.
