Chapter 378 Guanyin Bodhisattva

"Fahai! It's him again!"

Xiaoqing stood up unhappily and said, "Why is this old monk so persistent?"

Gu Qing returned from outside. The Dragon Boat Festival had already passed. Xiao Qing also came out of the well. After hearing about the public trial of Doctor Shi, she was furious, as it seemed that Fahai was behind it all.

Xu Qian is backed by Fahai, and Doctor Shi is backed by Qin Hui. The two of them are pulling Gu Qing into business to draw Gu Qing into a vortex of right and wrong, thereby inducing Gu Qing and Bai Suzhen to separate.

"It's not the theft itself that's scary, it's the thief's eye on you."

Gu Qing sighed and said, "Let's indulge him for a while longer."

Gu Qing has recently been secretly using the resources of the Maoshan Sect to forge the Zhuxian Sword and the Tianji Lock, preparing to give Fahai a big surprise.

Now that the Dragon Boat Festival has passed, the heat and restlessness on Bai Suzhen and Xiaoqing's bodies have dissipated. Gu Qing looked at the two women, his smile gradually becoming impure. He immediately wrote a talisman in his hand, preparing to have Chang'e turn off the lights.

"Don't……"

Bai Suzhen felt it wasn't right to keep troubling Chang'e, so she stopped Gu Qing, saying, "The three of us can sit down and talk, but we're disturbing the fairy every day. How can we ever repay this kindness!"

In the Moon Palace, Chang'e, with her serene and cool divine light, nodded slightly.

This pure, aloof, and eternally noble goddess, after agreeing to help Gu Qing conceal his spying, began observing him every day, making Chang'e feel unclean.

"Another truce?"

Gu Qing frowned.

Bai Suzhen suddenly felt ashamed and angry, and said, "There is no marital bond between us. That day, I was in a daze and my mind was almost blank, so I let you do as you pleased. I forgot that I could move my own hands and feet and could have delivered medicine to myself and Xiaoqing..."

“Gu Qing, friendships based on power will end when power is lost, and friendships based on wealth will dissolve when wealth is gone. Our relationship is based on gratitude, which is why I am being so subservient. It's not like the kind of loving relationship you have with Xiao Qing. After the child is born, I will…”

Seeing Bai Suzhen looking aggrieved, Gu Qing quickly stepped forward to comfort her, knowing that she was pregnant and emotionally unstable. On the other hand, Bai Suzhen always felt that Gu Qing and Xiao Qing were a couple, and that she was a mistake.

She became pregnant very quickly and had no choice but to comply.

"We connect with each other based on feelings and our hearts."

Gu Qing gently embraced Bai Suzhen and comforted her, saying, "If I hadn't fallen for you, why would I have risked my life to face Fahai with you?"

After this reassurance, Bai Suzhen's emotions gradually stabilized. When she looked at Xiaoqing, there was a hint of embarrassment in her eyes. She knew he was her sister's good husband, but she was still deeply entangled in the relationship.

"Sister, you're welcome."

Xiaoqing came closer.

Xiaoqing only blamed herself for not being honest from the beginning, for dressing up as a man, for causing trouble in her relationship, and for creating misunderstandings. As for Gu Qing, Xiaoqing felt that he was fine.

The three of them huddled together, chatting idly. Gu Qing was lying on Bai Suzhen's lower abdomen, giving prenatal education to the future Ziwei Star. What he was talking about were all Taoist principles, such as the Taiping Jing, which describes establishing a peaceful world where the country is safe and the people are prosperous, and the Yuanshi Wuliang Duren Shangpin Miaojing, which describes "universal love and compassion, marriage between different people, national peace and prosperity, and joyful peace".

What Gu Qing extended on this topic was not so much the Tai Chi principle of Yin and Yang generating each other, but rather the struggle principle of Yin and Yang restraining each other. Gu Qing called it the Yin-Yang contradiction. Bai Suzhen did not understand it, but it broadened her horizons.

Bai Suzhen gently stroked Gu Qing's hair, and the family of three fell into a deep sleep.

"Gu Qing, Gu Qing..."

Someone was gently shaking Gu Qing, making him open his eyes. He saw a little girl in red standing before the bed. She was delicate and pretty, with bright, dark eyes. Seeing Gu Qing awake, she blinked her sparkling eyes and said, "The Bodhisattva is waiting for you." What Bodhisattva?
Gu Qing focused her mind, trying to recall, but felt as if her mind was blank. Then, with a thought, she applied her good deeds, and her memories suddenly returned. Gu Qing turned around and saw herself, Bai Suzhen, and Xiao Qing lying on the bed, fast asleep.

Is this a divine being entering a dream? Or is it the soul leaving the body?
Gu Qing glanced at the girl in front of him and suddenly said, "So you are the Dragon Girl. Then Guanyin Bodhisattva must be waiting for me."

Bai Suzhen bowed to Guanyin Bodhisattva many times, and Gu Qing was always by her side. He recognized the statue of Guanyin and the Dragon Girl. Thinking of the relationship between Bai Suzhen and Guanyin, he followed the Dragon Girl and walked outside.

In the Legend of the White Snake, Bai Suzhen repeatedly impersonates Guanyin and receives various warnings from Guanyin, which clearly shows that she is treated differently.

As Gu Qing entered the courtyard, he saw a figure in white robes, with eyebrows like a crescent moon and eyes like blue lotuses. The figure was serene and smiling, compassionate and dignified. There were no willow branches or jade bottles, only a vast, profound, and boundless Buddhist nature of compassion.

"This humble Taoist, Gu Qing, greets Guanyin Bodhisattva."

Gu Qing bowed to the Bodhisattva.

"That's good, that's good."

Guanyin Bodhisattva's voice was compassionate, clear, and profound, saying, "Gu Qing, you have established the Tongren Hall in the human world, practiced charity, and benefited all sentient beings. Your merits are immeasurable."

Buddhist giving is divided into three types: material giving, Dharma giving, and fearlessness giving.

In this Tongrentang, Gu Qing treated the sick, spread medicinal prescriptions, and opposed the King of Liang, which corresponded to the three kinds of charity. Gu Qing also established the Canal Gang to help the poor, which also corresponded to the three kinds of charity.

"Heaven shows no favoritism, but only befriends the virtuous."

Gu Qing calmly said, "Cultivators are focused on helping others and accumulating good deeds, so they don't think about that much."

Although Guanyin Bodhisattva is all-encompassing, Gu Qing's stance is firm.

Guanyin Bodhisattva's eyes were clear, and her voice became more compassionate as she said, "It is true that you are wholeheartedly doing good, and it is also true that you have afflictions in your heart. As long as you relinquish your afflictions and benefit all sentient beings, you will have the Bodhi mind. Then, water it day and night, let it take root and sprout, and you will naturally achieve great things in the future."

Guanyin Bodhisattva taught Gu Qing the principle of developing Bodhicitta (the aspiration for enlightenment).

Gu Qing paused for a moment, then said, "The reason why the minor path is good is simply because it is inherently good. It does not seek wealth, sex, fame, or food, nor does it seek the three bodies, four wisdoms, five eyes, or six supernatural powers. The Bodhisattva thinks too highly of the minor path."

Gu Qing does good deeds simply because he is bound to the Good Deeds System, which allows him to fulfill other people's wishes and strengthen his own power, essentially a win-win situation. If he encounters an enemy, Gu Qing can even win twice.

Guanyin Bodhisattva listened to Gu Qing's words with her smile unchanged, and said, "If you truly do not seek wealth, sex, fame, or food, nor the three bodies, four wisdoms, five eyes, or six supernatural powers, and do not dwell on any dharma, you would have already attained Prajna."

That which does not associate with the myriad dharmas is Prajna.

Gu Qing treated the deities like brothers, harboring many selfish motives, but when the Bodhisattva exposed him, Gu Qing simply smiled.

"I do have a lot of things I can't let go of."

Gu Qing said frankly.

"I can't let go... neither can Fahai."

Guanyin Bodhisattva sighed and said, "Gu Qing, come with me."

We should still give face to the Bodhisattva.

Gu Qing nodded, and with that same thought, he followed the Bodhisattva into the air, standing atop the clouds, drifting northward. Gu Qing turned back to look towards Hangzhou, but in an instant, the city appeared as small as a fist, completely invisible.
