Chapter 49 Dark Earth
Shana nodded in response to Nemesis' question.

"In the world where Fazi lives, the magic network is active, but for some reason the magic power is extremely inert. The magic in their world is mysterious and rarely visited by humans. It is a story from myths and legends."

Fazi took over the conversation and said, "If I hadn't discovered this gem and learned about the greatness of the multiverse from Rajat, I'm afraid I would still be a frog in a well who thinks theology is superstition."

"Speaking of which," he announced to Shana with an excited look on his face.

"Ever since I became a mage using the spell notes you gave me, I have been searching for a long time, and finally found someone similar to me a few days ago."

"Those people also come into contact with the magic network and practice magic, but they call themselves "Adepts" and are very disgusted with the title of wizard."

There was a fascination in his eyes, as if he was proud of discovering some mystery.

"Those [experts] told me that one must be careful when practicing the magic web. The inert magic in the magic web contains a highly polluting darkness. If one advances too quickly, they will be contaminated by the darkness and turn into a monster."

His speech became faster and faster, as he excitedly explained his findings.

"I have consulted many ancient books and found many traces of this phenomenon in history, but no official book has ever explained it."

"Our magic network has been contaminated by some existence, and someone is deliberately concealing this fact."

Nemesis paused tapping the tabletop. Fazi had finally piqued his interest.

"An existence that can pollute the magic network? It seems that the world he lives in is not simple either."

He pondered for a while, and observing that the mysterious halfling Rajat did not react, he threw out an exquisitely designed ring, which was an advanced energy-shaping ring.

"Take it. This ring allows you to cast any fourth-level evocation spell every day. This should be enough to deal with the vampire."

There was a flash of joy in Fazi's eyes. It would be a lie to say that he was not nervous. It was just that his neurotic personality always caused him to distract himself with other things before a life-and-death crisis.

He was about to take the ring, but Nemesis held up a finger to stop him.

"I'll give you this ring, but there is a condition. You have to allow me to go to your world once when I need it." Nemesis said with a smile.

The Advanced Shaping Ring has almost no effect on him who has already been promoted to the fourth ring, but getting a chance to travel to another world is a good deal. Of course, as a living dragon, he will not go before evolving into an adult dragon.

Moreover, according to the other party's description, the mystery of that world is very low and the security is greatly improved.

The most important point is that another reason why he was interested in that world was the existence of the polluted magic web mentioned by the other party.

For some reason, Nemesis felt that this was somewhat similar to the existence behind the distorted psionic energy, except that one distorted the magic web and the other distorted the psionic energy.

After thinking about Nemesis' proposal for a while, Fazi agreed to it for a simple reason.

If the other party wanted to harm him, he would just watch him die without helping him. But if the other party wanted to take the gems from him, he thought it was unlikely, after all, multiple gems were meaningless to the Duke.

On the contrary, the more people from different worlds there are, the better the quality of the meeting will be.

Fazi took the ring and said solemnly, "Thank you for your help. I will never forget this kindness." Nemesis smiled and changed the subject, "No need to do that. We are just doing a fair deal. But I am more curious about whether Mr. Rajat is a simple guy or not."

"An old antique who has lived for at least thousands of years, why don't you help our companions?"

Nemesis made some sarcastic remarks, wanting to see the other party's reaction, but before Rajat could speak, Fazi scratched his head awkwardly and said.

"This old guy is now in a state of pure waste. He has been sealed for thousands of years by his own disciples, a group of beings who call themselves wizard kings. If it weren't for the power of the gem, he wouldn't even be able to appear here."

Rajat snorted coldly and said, "Sooner or later I will make those idiots who betrayed me pay the price!"

Nemesis narrowed his eyes. Although he could not see the opponent's strength, he instinctively felt the danger from Rajat. Before being sealed, the opponent must have been an extremely powerful existence.

Legend, or even just the most conservative guess!
Fawzi resolved his demands and Rajat raised his hand. The old man looked pitiful and even wiped away non-existent tears with his hands.

"Ah, Nemesis, I can see that you are a very kind dragon, otherwise you wouldn't help a fool like Fazi."

"Can you help me too, a poor old man who has been betrayed and tortured for thousands of years?" Rajat's eyes held the same expectation.

"Come to my world and help me remove my seal. I will definitely repay you. I will fulfill any wish of yours and even rule my world with you!"

Shana, who was standing by, heard this and said angrily, "Don't trust this cunning old man."

"He was indeed sealed, but what he didn't tell you is how dangerous that world is! And how powerful his disciples who betrayed him are!"

She stretched out her slender white left arm, on which was a scarlet antler mark.

"He tricked me into going to his world, but I found out it was a desolate planet without even a magic net! What's even scarier is that there are a large number of spellcasters on that world who can manipulate powerful psychic powers."

As she said this, she gritted her teeth and glared at Rajat angrily.

"Not long after I arrived in that world, I was captured by a slave trader. If he hadn't seen how pretty I was and wanted to offer me to the Witch King of that city, giving me enough time to wait until the Throne was opened again, I might have died there!"

"This mark was given to me by the slave trader! Sooner or later I will go back there and kill all those damn guys!"

Rajat blew his beard and glared, "You are talking nonsense! You are so useless. Who knew you were such a powerless loser? If I had known, I would not have asked you to save me!"

Seeing that they were arguing again, Nemesis interrupted them helplessly: "Enough, stop arguing. Since we want to be an organization that helps each other, we should carry it through to the end."

"However," he looked at Rajat and said, "your world is too dangerous, and I am not strong enough yet. Anyway, you have been waiting for thousands of years, so you should not mind waiting a little longer."

Nemesis was very clear that he could not eat the pie that Rajat painted now, so the best way to deal with it was to ignore it temporarily and wait until he was qualified to force the other party to realize the pie.

After hearing this, Rajat had no choice but to agree. What he said was indeed right. He really didn't mind waiting. Time was the only consumable that he didn't care about.
