Therefore, the World-Honored One simply let it be and arranged for him to go to Xiniuhezhou, to sit in Xiaolingshan, and live next to Maitreya, the future Buddha.

The Buddha stated that if Maitreya could convert either Da Mi or Wu Tian, ​​and bring either of these two Buddhist rebels back to the right path, he would immediately enter Nirvana and pass on the throne to Maitreya.

However, no matter how profound Maitreya's future Zen teachings are, they are helpless against the Great Annihilation Zen teachings, which are capable of severing the life force of all sentient beings and plunging the universe into pure annihilation.

The former incarnation of the Demon Lord Wutian, the Great Bodhisattva Kinnara, was a person with profound Buddhist nature. When he saw that a figure like the Great Extinction Tathagata could rely on his martial power and escape the law, his mind inevitably developed a slight flaw.

It was precisely this slight flaw that led to the final tragedy.

But the stricter the Heavenly Rules were, the more they went against the will of the Jade Emperor and the Daoist Master. Finally, one day, the Jade Emperor broke free from these constraints, gracefully departed, and returned to the Heavenly Way.

Therefore, all those with great supernatural powers could no longer transcend this state, and even those with great supernatural powers, such as the Bodhi Patriarch who had already deeply penetrated the chaotic energy, could no longer find their way back.

On the other hand, the Western Buddhist Kingdom had a completely different idea. The World-Honored One wanted to establish the Ten Dharma Realms to restrain all sentient beings, so that all things would be born in an orderly manner, and only through cultivation could they transcend the constraints.

Those Buddhas who supported this idea even studied the method of vows by following the cause-and-effect relationship, achieving the wonderful effect of "result before cause".

In the view of these Buddhas, as long as one can cultivate the Ten Dharma Realms and include all sentient beings within them, then merit will flow in abundance, and there is no need to worry about subsequent karma.

Furthermore, at that time, the "Supreme Ruler of Heaven" had already developed a rift with the gods of Heaven, and the World Honored One of Mount Ling also regarded this as an excellent opportunity, encouraging the Buddhas to make great vows in exchange for supernatural powers.

However, this collective vow was the first of its kind ever made, which naturally led to unpredictable consequences. Karmic forces arose from nothingness and demanded repayment from the Buddhas.

In the end, this karma even merged with the demonic path in the material universe. The demonic path was already deeply entangled with the Buddhas. If the Primordial Demon Ancestor were to follow the clues and come to the Upper Realm, which of the Buddhas of Mount Ling would be able to escape the calamity?
The Buddha's solution was to select those destined to face the calamity.

After much deliberation, he chose the Bodhisattva Kinnara, who possessed profound Buddhist nature, to descend to the mortal realm to undergo tribulations. In other words, he offered his body to the demons, attempting to reverse the corruption of the demonic system with his pure Buddhist nature.

Although this matter may not be successful, it can buy more time for Mount Ling. As long as the Ten Dharma Realms can be built in the "Mysterious and Boundless World", then everything will be worthwhile and everything can be salvaged.

Kinnara was originally a protector of the Buddha's kingdom. Now that he was able to sacrifice himself for the propagation of the Dharma, following the example of the Buddha cutting off his own flesh to feed the eagle, he was naturally happy to do so.

However, it was precisely because of the Great Annihilation that left a flaw in his heart that Kinnara was unable to resist the corruption of the Heavenly Demon system, completely degenerating into a demon, and even merging with the karma of the Buddhist Kingdom, truly becoming "Wutian".

Only then did Wutian realize the hypocrisy of all Buddhas.

When Kinnara descended to the mortal realm, the World-Honored One had no intention of saving all sentient beings. He merely treated sentient beings as a field of merit, harvesting their faith and vows to repay his own vows.

At this point, Wutian realized that the Great Extinction Tathagata was one of the few truly genuine people in Buddhism, so he chose to cooperate with this Buddhist traitor.

Unlike the Great Celestial Venerable who guided the Demon Emperor to the Heavenly Realm and eliminated opposing forces in the Heavenly Court, when the Great Calamity descended, it was the Great Destruction Tathagata who took action, ferrying the Demon Lord of No Heaven to the Earthly Immortal Realm, allowing him to reside in Mount Ling.

Maitreya, the future Buddha, was the first Buddha to suffer calamity. He was killed on the spot by the Great Extinction Tathagata, and only one of his relics escaped from Little Vulture Peak and disappeared without a trace.

With all the Buddhas of Mount Ling now in extinction and Wutian trapped in the "mysterious and boundless world," the Great Extinction Tathagata is undoubtedly the strongest being in the Earthly Immortal Realm.

With a single shout, the Great Extinction Tathagata's armor shone with the brilliant light of millions of suns. With a wave of his arms, he soared into the sky and met the Demon Emperor's sinking behemoth!
