Chapter 80 Assassination
As night fell, in S.H.I.E.L.D., special employee Matt was wandering around with nothing to do.

This street hero seemed at a loss at this moment.

"Matt, why are you so free today? Aren't you going to seek justice?"

The sudden voice brought Matt back to his senses immediately.

"Commander, you know, it's been difficult for me to take action during this period."

Matt's voice sounded a little frustrated, he sighed and continued: "Since the last confrontation with those supernatural forces, I realized that my abilities are becoming increasingly limited in this ever-changing city.

Those events made me feel overwhelmed and I began to question whether I could still protect the peace of this neighborhood as easily as I had in the past.”

The last time the Red Giant led his minions to attack New York, Matt also participated, but he was defeated by one of Banner's minions again.

If there weren't SHIELD agents around to protect him, Matt would have been sent directly for cremation.

This battle shattered Matt's confidence. Thinking that there would be battles like this between people with super powers in the future, Matt couldn't help but feel abandoned by the times.

Moreover, Matt's old rival Kingpin seemed to have disappeared and did not make any moves.

Even though his power was about to be squeezed out of Hell's Kitchen, he didn't even utter a word.

This is not like Kingpin's style. Matt suspects that Kingpin may have some other conspiracy.

The doubts in Matt's heart grew heavier like the night. As the shadow king of New York's underworld, Kingpin's silence was often more terrifying than his roar.

Jin Bing's silence may mean that he is planning a bigger plan, a conspiracy that could overturn the status quo and even threaten the peace of the entire city.

"Chief, I need to find out what Kingpin is planning."

Matt's eyes gleamed with determination, as if he was making a promise to himself and the director.

"This city needs our protection, and I can't just wait."

Since Matt can't deal with those super-powered people on the battlefield, he can also contribute his own strength to prevent those criminals from causing trouble in the rear.

Should we say that the "bond" between the two is deep, or should we say that Matt has his eyes on Kim and won't let go?

Xia Ling didn't want to say much about the relationship between the two of them, but it would be a good idea to let Matt get in touch with Kingpin, maybe something good could happen.

Fun, he loves watching it the most!
"If you want to fight against Kingpin, I have some information to share with you."

Xia Ling pulled out an encrypted document from his pocket and gently pushed it in front of Matt.

"King Bing will take Vanessa home tonight. This is a rare moment of relaxation for them. However, according to reliable information, several enemies who have been suppressed by him for many years can no longer hold back and plan to assassinate him on the way."

Matt took the document and glanced through it quickly, his brows furrowed.

Given Kingpin's cruelty and cunning, it is unlikely that this group of assassins can kill him. Moreover, Matt does not want Kingpin to die in a gang vendetta. He hopes that Kingpin can be brought to justice.

He also knows better how important Vanessa is to Kingpin. If anything happens to Vanessa, Kingpin's anger will erupt like a volcano, and the consequences will be disastrous.

"I must stop this assassination."

Matt said in a deep voice, with a determined gleam in his eyes.

Time waits for no one, Matt quickly changed into a suit of equipment that is convenient for action and immediately prepared to set off. The night was dark, like the most intense ink spread across the sky, the sparse moonlight barely penetrated the heavy clouds, casting a mottled and faint silver glow, covering the prosperous but already sleeping New York City with a layer of mysterious veil.

Jin Bing's black Rolls-Royce sedan was like a silent giant beast, cruising slowly on the quiet street. The golden flying wing logo on the front of the car was faintly visible under the dim light, highlighting the owner's extraordinary identity and status.

Inside the car, the atmosphere was warm and private. Kingpin, the king of the New York underworld, who was usually majestic and inviolable, seemed particularly gentle at this moment, personally driving the car that symbolized his power.

He was wearing a tailor-made suit that was tailored to fit him perfectly. Even in the dim light, it was difficult to conceal the powerful aura emanating from him.

Beside him was Vanessa, his soul mate, wearing an exquisite black dress that outlined her graceful figure. The hem of her skirt swayed gently with the slight bumps of the car, like the gentlest dream in the night.

Her smile was warm and peaceful, and her eyes sparkled with deep love and dependence on Jin Bing. The tacit understanding and love between the two needed no words, everything was implied.

However, this tranquility did not last long.

Just as they were about to drive into the secret road leading to the private estate, the air around them suddenly became tense.

Several dark shadows emerged from the darkness and quickly surrounded the Rolls-Royce.

Gunshots rang out suddenly, breaking the silence of the night and the warmth in the car.

Vanessa's face turned pale in an instant, but she didn't scream. She just held Kingpin's hand tighter, her eyes full of worry and reluctance for him.

There was a flash of anger in Kingpin's eyes, but more of it was anxiety about Vanessa's safety.

He reacted quickly, using years of alertness and skills to try to dodge the sudden attack and protect Vanessa with his body.

However, the enemy was clearly more prepared, and the dense bullets were like the Grim Reaper's scythe, ruthlessly cutting through the surrounding air.

Many bullets hit the man's body, causing blood to spurt out, but even so, the man didn't even make a sound.

"stop!"

Matt's voice was low and powerful, and he arrived at this moment.

After discovering the situation at the scene, he moved quickly, his figure like a ghost, shuttling between the enemies, swinging the stick in his hand. Every move was accurate, either knocking down weapons or subduing opponents, and resolving the originally fierce attacks one by one.

Seeing this, although Kingpin was terrified, he took advantage of this opportunity to quickly start the car, holding Vanessa tightly in his arms, and using the car body as a cover to further resist the remaining attacks.

With the last swing of the stick, several killers were knocked down by Matt.

Kingpin breathed a sigh of relief. He ignored his own injuries and instead checked Vanessa's body to see if she was hurt.

"It's over, Vanessa, we're..."

Looking at his wife who was smiling at him, Jin Bing could not continue speaking. He felt something sticky in his hand, and there was no doubt that it was the touch of blood.

And this blood was found from Vanessa's back.

"Perhaps I am still too late."

Matt, who was outside the car, watched this scene and murmured silently.
