Chapter 112: 109: Holy Flesh (Subscription Request)
Before coming here, Chu Zhou actually had many ideas about the situation in Anyue City.
He thought about fighting and killing every day; he thought about not being able to eat peacefully and having to be careful about being assassinated by others; he even thought about turning against Zhou Wu and driving him like a beast of burden.
But even in the best of scenarios, he never thought that he could really study and practice here in peace and stability, and he never thought that his life could be more regular than that in Xuanzhen Temple.
There are even enough medicinal herbs, endless secret manuals to read, and plenty of time to practice...
There were too many unexpected things, but the current situation was that Chu Zhou really managed to turn a deaf ear to what was happening outside the window, and focused on practicing and studying in class.
During those ten days, Chu Zhou picked out a free day and finished the fifth lesson of "Basic Control of Water Magic", and also learned the last technique, "Water Escape Technique"!
This concludes this basic course.
However, Chu Zhou did not rush to proceed to the next lesson. Instead, he reviewed it again from beginning to end and tried to look at the content of the course from a higher perspective as much as possible.
Then, he discovered that the most essential part of this course was to tell him the basic characteristics of water-attributed spiritual machines.
And, what is the most important thing about mana?
Take control!
Only with absolute control can you cast spells from your heart, and that’s the entry level.
Of course, the course is completed, but the work is not over yet, and you still have to keep practicing.
One has to become proficient to the point of being almost instinctive before being able to activate the three techniques at will.
So Chu Zhou thought about it and decided that it would be better not to practice during the day as there would be too many people around and too much noise.
So, he put it off until night time, and before drawing the Qi into his body, he would practice for an hour, exhausting as much of his magical power as possible, and then meditate to enter a state of concentration.
However, in this way, even if Chu Zhou did not enter the Reception Hall, he could not sleep for more than three hours a day.
That is to say, drawing Qi into the body, the spiritual inspiration is extremely effective in replenishing the essence, energy and spirit. He did not feel that he was sleep deprived, but instead felt more energetic.
As for the daytime time, although he did not go out, he practiced martial arts to strengthen his body, read books, studied strength-based martial arts, tried to integrate magic power and strength-based martial arts, and so on, of course, he never stopped.
It was also during this process that Chu Zhou completed the second and third lessons of "Basic Immortal Martial Arts Fusion".
In the second lesson, he learned how to carefully refine the magic power when using it as internal force, how to push it to the limit, and even how to control it with the will of martial arts to unleash the greatest power of the moves as much as possible.
In the third lesson, Chu Zhou learned how to take advantage of his magic power.
That's right, he used magic power as internal force, but magic power is magic power, its advantages are extremely obvious, and even attracting free inspiration from the outside world is an instinct.
Therefore, if possible, when mana is used as internal force, it can play an attractive role.
In this way, the moves will be slower to use, but their power can definitely be greatly increased.
These two lessons were of great help to Chu Zhou, and made his originally crude methods of applying magic power more mature and complete.
And this is directly related to Chu Zhou's combat power level.
Of course, during these two classes, Chu Zhou was beaten badly by the Yellow Turban strongman.
It was so heartbreaking and stimulating that when Chu Zhou saw this person, he even felt an uncontrollable fear in his heart.
After finishing two classes, Chu Zhou chose to take a few days off to digest the knowledge.
Try, practice, think, record...
There is no need to say more about these. Chu Zhou is really addicted to the fact that he can feel his own progress and gains every day.
It’s a pity that people will always have to deal with complicated trivial matters.
The drunkard old man Feng Yan came back from a mission and went to have a drink with him.
But after three rounds of dishes and five kinds of wine, this old drunkard actually burst into tears. The reason was simple: he failed in his attempt to break through his innate state.
He used the calming incense and the elixirs he had accumulated over the years, and he did not hesitate to use them all. However, breaking through to the innate realm was too difficult.
He had been preparing for so long, but all his efforts were in vain. The only thing to be thankful for was that after he realized something was wrong, he turned to consolidating his cultivation and did not cause any irreversible damage.
It was also through his chattering that Chu Zhou learned a lot of key points about breaking through the innate realm.
For example, the internal force needs to break through the Ren and Du meridians and connect heaven and earth. Only in this way can the internal force be compressed and changed in the direction of true qi.
Although the two have the same origin, internal force is like qi and true qi is like water, so there is a huge difference in quality, and naturally there is also a huge difference in power and effect.
Another example is the innate martial intention. The reason why it has the word "innate" is because when one reaches the innate stage, without the martial intention, it is impossible to carry out subsequent practice.
In addition, the innate warrior is a kind of qualitative change. He can draw the power of heaven and earth into his body, which can increase his lifespan.
That day, the old drunkard talked a lot, and Chu Zhou just listened quietly. He didn't know how to comfort people, and the old drunkard didn't need anyone to comfort him. It was enough for him to vent.
During these days, Cao Bao, the leader of the Black Mountain group, also came and had a drink with him.
Regardless of the previous misunderstanding, this dinner was a great pleasure for both the host and the guests. Chu Zhou talked a lot about his insights in cultivation, and Cao Bao also talked a lot.
There are various difficulties in the training after becoming a master, and on the road to becoming a master.
There are also his past experiences, for example, his previous nickname was actually 'Mighty Hammer', and he was quite satisfied with it.
But later when he achieved the status of Xiantian, others added the word "king" to his title, thus becoming the Divine Hammer King, which always sounded weird.
But even though he was a natural warrior, he had no say in the matter and could only accept it.
In addition, Zhou Wu also hosted him for many banquets, mostly as a companion, and introduced many people to him, such as the right guardian Xie Lihuang, the eldest disciple Yin Shengyun, the eldest elder Shi Tingshou, another innate worshiper Zhongli Linghui, etc.
After participating in it a few times, Chu Zhou became a little tired of such banquets where everyone was flattering each other. He found Zhou Wu privately and politely declined.
Zhou Wu was a little surprised, but didn't say much. He just didn't call him much later and helped him block it while he was recovering from his injuries.
It is worth mentioning that after Zhou Wu knew about the feud between Chu Zhou and the Yi Ren League, he actually took the initiative to ask for the fat monk.
According to him, he would use the fat monk as a bargaining chip to settle the feud between the two.
Chu Zhou didn't have a good impression of the Alien Alliance, but he didn't have any good way to deal with such a secretive esoteric organization.
He was naturally happy that Zhou Wu was willing to help.
Of course, before the fat monk left, Chu Zhou still drained his arsenal. The few Buddhist martial arts he majored in were fine, but the "The Sutra of the Past Vows of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva" was a refreshing experience for him.
From the surface, this "Sutra of Original Vow" is just a Buddhist scripture and there is nothing special about it. The fat monk probably thought that Chu Zhou couldn't tell, so he gave it to him happily.
But Chu Zhou discovered with the knowledge he learned in the Jieying Hall that as long as this sutra is recited, reciting it sincerely over and over again, it is equivalent to constantly sketching out the image of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva in the mind.
Over time, as the image of the local Tibetan Bodhisattva becomes clearer, one's own spirit will also be greatly trained.
In other words, this is an extremely rare method of refining the spirit, which starts with visualization and can be used to temper the soul.
But this is only the first step. If the visualization is successful and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva becomes as clear as a sculpture, a Buddhist force will be born in your body.
If this Buddha power is used as internal force in martial arts, it will naturally be half the result with twice the effort and the effect will not be good.
However, if used to exorcise evil spirits and ghosts, it is extremely powerful.
However, only Chu Zhou knew that this Buddha power was another form of magical power. Only with true Buddhist teachings could its power be exerted.
From this perspective, the fat monk is a true genius in Buddhist practice, and he even has great compassion in his heart. Otherwise, it would be impossible for him to achieve this with just a copy of the "Sutra of the Original Vow".
Chu Zhou had also asked about it, and found out that although he drank alcohol, ate meat and was greedy for money, most of the money he earned went into the orphanage, saving countless lives.
Because of this action, Chu Zhou had a better impression of the monk and was willing to let him go.
Of course, what Chu Zhou was more curious about was, in this heyday of martial arts, who could understand the true Buddhist teachings and pass them down so cleverly?
The more Chu Zhou studied it, the more he felt that there was a lot of water here!
However, trivial matters are trivial matters after all, and after dealing with them, Chu Zhou did not take them to heart.
After digesting what he had learned, Chu Zhou directly started the fourth and fifth lessons of "Basic Immortal Martial Arts Fusion".
What these two classes talked about was actually marrow cleansing and blood transfusion to break through the limits of the body.
If we say that the stage of training muscles, skin, bones and internal organs is to temper the body to the healthiest and most perfect state and reach its own limit.
When it comes to marrow training, it is all about breaking through the limits of the human body and taking a new path.
Whether it is the martial arts of this world or the body refining methods of heaven, they both believe that the physical body has limits. This is due to genetic limitations, the highest limit that carbon-based life can reach.
But with the inspiration from heaven and earth, there is an opportunity to go further.
The so-called marrow cleansing and blood exchange appears to be a tempering of the bone marrow, but in reality it is the high-quality bone marrow that produces higher-quality blood, replacing old blood with new blood, and being able to accommodate more spiritual ideas.
By refining your body with higher quality spiritual energy, you can break through your limits and reach new heights.
In concept, the marrow training techniques of this world and the body training methods secretly passed down in heaven are both like this.
But the difference is that in this world, marrow cleansing and blood transfusion can only be done once, and the quality of the internal strength can only support it once.
After training the marrow, warriors can only shift their focus from the physical body to the spiritual will and true energy, which is also the path to the innate level and even the master level.
However, the knowledge imparted to Chu Zhou by "Basic Immortal Martial Arts Integration" shows that this kind of marrow training can actually be repeated.
In other words, by training the marrow once, replacing old blood with new blood, breaking the upper limit of the physical strength, and supplemented by body training methods, one can continue to make progress.
When it reaches the limit, if the cultivation of immortal ways can also keep up, then you can undergo a second marrow cleansing and blood exchange to obtain new blood of higher quality and continue to temper your body.
This process can be repeated six to nine times, with the marrow cleansing and blood exchange being performed as many as six to nine times, and the body tempering and refining also undergoing multiple qualitative changes.
Over time, the strength of human body will be beyond imagination.
The course ended abruptly at this point, but Chu Zhou felt that there was more to come and he was still not satisfied.
So, Chu Zhou gritted his teeth and started the fifth lesson directly.
Then, he realized that the unfinished part was clearly the essence of the immortal body refining, and it was also the most correct direction and ultimate goal of this path.
This is the way to sanctify the body.
This road is, of course, extremely difficult. Even in heaven, there are few people who can walk this road to the end, but Chu Zhou is inexplicably excited.
Because he suddenly realized that what he had learned and practiced before was not useless, but rather the foundation for him to make further progress on his immortal path.
Here is the second update. Although the result is not good, I tried to update as steadily as possible this time.
