Chapter 243 Ending Constantine
Chapter 243 Ending Constantine
For the professors and students of Hogwarts, this period of time is destined to be unforgettable in their lives.
The fall of Minister Fudge is an established fact. Although the various departments of the Ministry of Magic are still functioning, it has still not chosen a suitable leader.
The wizarding world was in turmoil, and almost all wizards had become much more honest, even the dark wizards were no exception. No one wanted to touch Dumbledore's whiskers at this time. The old man was just old, not dead. If you angered him, he would really kill people.
The reconstruction of Hogwarts is still in full swing and is expected to take half a year. During this period, students will have no choice but to study at home.
Of course, professors would visit their homes regularly, and some owls would bring them homework and test papers.
These assignments and test papers have been cast with anti-cheating magic, so even if there is no invigilator around, there is no need to worry that students will cheat secretly.
In the headmaster's office, Dumbledore and Constantine were conducting research on irony magic.
Dumbledore was very curious about this magic from another world. This special existence aroused his studious talent that had been dormant for many years.
"It seems that you have mastered this magic, Mr. Constantine."
Seeing how just one sentence could turn a Boggart into a cute squirrel, Dumbledore's eyes flickered with a strange light and he couldn't help clapping his hands.
Boggart is a magical creature that can transform into something that people would be afraid of. To deal with it, wizards can only use a spell called "Funny Funny" to transform it into a funny appearance.
However, Dumbledore had never seen anyone like Constantine, who could be transformed into a squirrel with just a few words. It seemed like an advanced form of transfiguration magic.
But after listening to Dumbledore's words, Constantine shook his head slightly. "I have not yet mastered the true power of this magic. I can feel that the power of this magic is very strong, stronger than I imagined."
"We all know what you can do with this power. Anti-speech magic seems more like a power to change reality through language, which is completely beyond the magic of our world."
"Do you think this is a good thing, Dumbledore?" Constantine frowned.
"Any magic related to reality cannot be considered a 'good thing'. Reality is fragile, like a bubble that can burst with a poke. The stability of this world is carefully protected, and once this layer of protection is broken, the chain reaction will be terrible, just like what happened to Tom."
Dumbledore said calmly, looking at Constantine meaningfully.
Listening to the other party's words, Constantine fell into deep thought. He didn't know where this power came from, nor did he know why he could master it, but he knew that whenever he used this power, he would always feel at ease.
"You don't have to worry too much. I believe you will use this power properly, even though it doesn't seem to fit you as well as you thought."
"You see," Constantine sighed.
"Don't forget that our magic comes from our blood." Dumbledore smiled and continued, "I believe that even in your world, not everyone can learn irony magic. This magical talent comes from family inheritance, or it can be said to be a blood talent."
This is not entirely wrong. Constantine discovered this when he started using this kind of magic. Although the power of irony magic is very strong, he always feels very awkward using it, as if something is blocking him.
Constantine also guessed that perhaps this kind of magic did not belong to him, which was why he could not use the true power of irony magic.
Now, listening to Dumbledore's explanation, Constantine also figured out some of the key points.
Perhaps, as Dumbledore said, this magic was not innate, but taught to him by some being.
"The magic in each universe has a completely different origin. Just like the universe we live in, the magic in the ancient times originated from 'emotions'. When some gifted beings have drastic emotional fluctuations, they will cause some incredible things. This is also the origin of wizards."
"Some wizards in ancient times learned to master this power and use it in an appropriate way, which formed the most basic 'ancient magic'. As time went by, magic continued to improve and evolve, and finally took on the form we have today."
Dumbledore spoke, then turned his attention to Constantine.
"I think the same is true for the universe you live in, but the magic power in you is too magical, far superior to the world I know, so there is nothing I can do to help you with this matter."
"Mr. Dumbledore, what do you think magic represents, or in other words, what does the magic I use represent?" Constantine asked.
Hearing this, Dumbledore smiled and shook his head. "I'm sorry I can't answer your question. If you were my student, I would tell you that magic represents what you desire most in your heart. But for you, I can only say that the answer to this question needs to be found by yourself."
Constantine smiled bitterly. "But now I don't know what I really want."
"You have a power that I have never seen before, Mr. Constantine. This power that can distort reality is enough to change the entire world. It is up to you to decide how to use it. Similarly, it is up to you to decide how you want to go in the future."
Listening quietly to Dumbledore's words, Constantine nodded slightly.
Just then, the sound of footsteps came from the stairs of the principal's office, attracting the attention of the two.
"Have I disturbed you?" Su Ze heard the voice before seeing the person. He quickly entered the principal's office, looked at Constantine and Dumbledore, raised his hand and greeted them.
"You came at the right time, Professor Black. Mr. Constantine and I were discussing the subject of irony magic." Dumbledore said casually. "The power of that magic is truly eye-opening."
"Really? You have already mastered that power?" Su Ze looked at Constantine curiously.
"I'm just skilled at using it. I can't use this power to change the world." Constantine shrugged his shoulders and then asked, "How are you doing? Have you found a way to deal with Tom Riddle?"
"Speaking of this."
Su Ze's smile disappeared and his expression became a little serious.
"We have already completed the preliminary method of time travel. As long as we use the quantum channel and Pym particles, we can find Tom's location without anyone noticing. However, we have encountered a problem now."
"What's the problem?" Constantine asked.
Although I don’t know what exactly happened, but since Su Ze has such an expression, I guess things are probably not that simple.
Su Ze didn't keep the secret and looked at Constantine with complicated eyes.
"Tony and Bruce tried to test the quantum tunnel, but something unexpected happened along the way. I think we may have accidentally found your universe through the quantum realm."
As soon as these words were spoken, the entire principal's office suddenly fell silent.
Even the portraits on the wall put down their work and looked at the three people below with curiosity.
I don't know how long the silence lasted, Constantine frowned and broke the silence.
"What do you mean you found the universe I'm in?"
"Literally, Constantine." Suze said. "You come from the DC Universe, which is similar to the universe Rocket and the others are in. In your universe, there are also superheroes like the Avengers."
"In other words, the quantum field you mentioned just now communicates with the world where Constantine is?" Dumbledore frowned.
"It shouldn't have been like this, but I don't know how to explain it now. There's a hole in the quantum realm of our universe. I guess that hole is the reason why Constantine came to our world. This matter is more complicated."
Su Ze explained. "First you came from the quantum realm, and then Rocket Raccoon was accidentally sent to your world because of the quantum tunnel test. I think there must be some connection between them."
"That's good news." Dumbledore turned to look at Constantine. "At least you can get your memory back as you wished."
"Well, about this." Su Ze rubbed his temple and continued. "Things are a bit messy now. That world has apparently been invaded by some kind of force, and the problem is quite serious."
"Invaded?!"
Upon hearing this, the expressions of Constantine and Dumbledore changed at the same time.
"What do you mean by invaded? Like Tom Riddle?"
"Not much. We have confirmed the source of this power - the Mind Scepter. Anyone who possesses it can freely influence the mind of any life form, including but not limited to reshaping the spirit, false memories, and changing cognition. Now the Earth in that universe is in chaos, and all the heroes are in extreme danger."
Listening to Suze's words, Constantine and Dumbledore looked at each other.
They all saw the solemnity in each other's eyes.
After a moment of silence, Dumbledore looked at Suze. "Do you think this power is the same as the one that affects Constantine's memory?"
"I think it's very likely. Apart from the Mind Scepter, I can't think of any other power that can erase all the memories in Constantine's head."
Su Ze nodded heavily and then turned his gaze to Constantine.
"It seems that what Constantine said at the end was not groundless."
"How about going back to save the world that is on the verge of losing control?"
