Chapter 8 Treasure Hunt
Lying in bed, Bai Jing pondered where to go tomorrow.

"Mom, can I skip work tomorrow?" She now has a system, and if possible, she wants to figure out how it works as soon as possible so that she can plan for the future.

There's some money in the system, enough to improve things at home, and I need to make sure my mother gets better.

When she woke up the next day, no one was home again.

"Mom, you're back! Come wash up and come eat. I caught this pheasant today by setting a trap. I just wanted to try it out, but when I came back from getting grain, I found that two pheasants had fallen into the well."

Bai Jing pointed to a pheasant that hadn't been cooked yet and smiled as she asked her mother for a reward.

Luo Chunhua looked at it and was very happy. "Keep an eye on things while you're cooking. I'll have your fourth uncle watch over the fields on the back hill today."

There's a road right next to my house leading to the fields in the mountains. If he smells it, I'm afraid this meat won't survive.

Bai Jing naturally understood her mother's worries.
