Chapter 5 Assessment
Balza strode forward, his serious gaze fixed on Bai Ling.

Long Haochen looked worried, and couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat for Bai Ling.

Normally, the head instructor always treated my sister with a smile, and had never shown such a serious expression as he did today.

Everyone was equally worried, but none of them dared to plead for the elder sister they admired.

“Instructor Balza, don’t be so serious. I’m just cleaning up the scum for the Knights’ Temple. Why are you acting like I’ve done something wrong?”

Bai Ling spoke slowly.

After she finished speaking, she saw that Balzac looked at her with disbelief.

Left with no other choice, Bai Ling had to move closer, stand on tiptoe, and half-cover her mouth as she explained the whole story to Balzac.

"So that's it."

Balzac's previously serious expression softened considerably. He nodded and asked helplessly, "Are they alright?"

Bai Ling shrugged: "Old man, how could I cause you trouble? They're just temporarily unconscious; they'll wake up naturally in a while."

Knowing why the two had been demoted to Balzac in Odin Town, he decided to turn a blind eye.

He stopped asking how Bai Ling had injured the two of them and instead turned his gaze to Long Haochen, who was sitting at the very back.

When Long Haochen saw Instructor Balza staring at him, he mistakenly thought that his sister had gotten into big trouble and that he needed to share the responsibility.

So, Long Haochen ran to the front, stood up, clenched his right fist over his heart, bowed deeply, and apologized in one smooth motion.

Seeing this, Bai Ling's eyes twitched a few times. She looked at Balzac suspiciously, her lips slightly parted, as if she wanted to say something.

Her kind-hearted younger brother still doesn't seem to have learned from the cunning old man how to argue with him in front of everyone.

The elixirs and elixirs given to Balza's family seem to have gone down the drain!
Feeling guilty, Balzac subconsciously touched his nose, then made a fist with his right hand and put it to his mouth, pretending to cough: "Long Haochen, begin the test!"

Long Haochen was stunned.

But he quickly realized what was happening, took the wooden sword, took a deep breath, and slashed at the wooden stump.

With a plop, the stone bead bounced up.

Everyone held their breath, staring intently at the markings on the wooden block, fearing that Long Haochen would be unable to pass the test due to his pitifully low spiritual power, just like last year.

The stone bead kept bouncing upwards.

It quickly rose from ten to thirteen, and finally settled at twenty-five spiritual power!
Balzac's previously calm expression suddenly became incredibly interesting.

For a moment, most of Long Haochen's peers who were good friends with him couldn't help but cheer.

The children of Odin Town couldn't comprehend the chain reaction brought about by such high spiritual power; all they knew was that Long Haochen had passed the test and become a first-class squire knight.

"Seven years old, twenty-five points of spiritual power!"

Balzac's voice rang out in shock.

The moment Long Haochen saw that his spiritual power had reached the required level, he rushed to Bai Ling's side, hugged her tightly, and choked out, "Sister, I did it!"

Bai Ling looked down at her younger brother, whose eyes were red and whose beautiful blue eyes were filled with tears of joy. She nodded and patted him on the back with satisfaction.

"Yes, you did it, Long Haochen."

Standing to the side, Balzac couldn't help but smack his lips.

In less than a year, Long Haochen went from being at the bottom of his class to becoming a genius boy in the palace.

It should be noted that, apart from Long Haochen, the best performing youth in the Knights Hall is Jiang Hu, whose spiritual power has reached thirteen points.

Shocked, Balza looked excitedly at Bai Ling, who was coaxing her younger brother with an extremely gentle expression.

He knew who could do that today.

Aside from the various temples, the only high-ranking person who holds access to high-quality resources is Bai Ling, who is right in front of us.

Balza first asked everyone to be quiet, and then ordered Long Haochen to supervise everyone to continue taking the assessment test in order.

After issuing the command.

Balza looked at Bai Ling with anticipation.

Bai Ling raised an eyebrow and preemptively said, "Don't even think about it. Even ordinary families don't have the money to provide their children with Earth-grade pills and Earth-grade medicinal baths."

Balza chuckled and rubbed his hands together: "I know, but increasing spiritual power by twenty points in a year is basically impossible, so about the pills..."

"Old man, everyone in the entire palace has witnessed my brother's hard work. What makes you think it's impossible?"

Bai Ling was unhappy.

So the old man put all the credit on the pills and didn't mention Long Haochen's efforts at all?
Just as Balza was about to explain, an unpleasant, hoarse voice came from the doorway. "I've arrived at just the right time. The criminal who injured my knight is currently plotting something private with Chief Instructor Balza."

The visitor was Xavier, the person in charge of the Prince's Palace.

Behind him were several knights dressed in full uniform and wielding swords.

They were all near-level four squire knights, with spiritual power around forty points, and no more than sixty at most.

However, what is puzzling is that these knights are wearing special medals awarded by Bright Moon City.

Balza's expression turned serious, and he loudly rebuked the group: "Lord, what are you planning to do by bringing the Punishment Knights and Guardian Knights here during the assessment?"

Xavier chuckled, his eyes fixed on Bai Ling and the two knights lying on the ground.

"Could it be that the head instructor can't hear what I'm saying?" Xavier repeated again, "I'm here to arrest a suspect."

Bai Ling pointed at the two people lying on the ground, her face full of disgust: "Lord Palace Master, are you going to protect these two scoundrels who accepted two silver coins as tolls from those who came to the palace?"

Xavier was so angry he laughed, and a hint of rage appeared on his face.

"Slandering a knight is an even greater crime! Guards, seize her!"

Balza stepped in front of Bai Ling, drawing his sword: "Let's see who dares!"

A level 10 squire knight is no joke.

Even though everyone had special medals representing disciplinary and guardian knights, they dared not face the enraged Balza.

Xavier's eyes widened, his anger rising: "How could she, a woman who isn't even a squire, knock out two level-five squires with her bare hands! She must be a human-demon hybrid, a monster! I'm going to capture her, and you must not disobey my orders."

Long Haochen frowned, stood next to Balzac with his wooden sword in hand, and looked at Xavier seriously: "Apologize to my sister, she's not a monster!"

"Very well, very well! This has turned the world upside down! Today, I, the Palace Master, will clean house and purge the heretics of Odin Town! I will also report your actions, every word and deed, to Bright Moon City in full!"

Xavier saw several officials in the hall who usually disliked Balzac rush over upon hearing the news and stand by his side to silently support him, so he arrogantly revealed the Hall Master's Order.

Seeing the temple master reveal his token, the knights were about to take action when Bai Ling, who was being protected, decisively took out a round crystal ball and casually threw it on the ground.

"A recording crystal ball?"

The person in charge, who had some knowledge of magic, instinctively threw out a badge from his sleeve, shattering the crystal ball.

In the blink of an eye, a lifelike scene and an extremely lewd voice appeared before everyone's eyes.

This greatly shocked everyone present.

Among them, Long Haochen was the most angry.

He never imagined that his sister had almost had her face slashed with a sword.

This person is actually a knight.

Thinking of this, Long Haochen clenched his fists, his angry blue eyes glaring at the gray-haired man and the brown-haired man who had just gotten up from the ground.

"Lord Xavier, is this evidence direct enough? Is it enough to clear me of the fabricated charges against me?"

With each word Bai Ling spoke, Xavier's face paled a little more.

"This……"

Xavier's eyes darted away, his previous arrogance and ambition to clean house gone.

He never expected that the other party would have a recording crystal ball.

Outrageous.

Bai Ling stepped forward and took the sword from Long Haochen's hand.

The flames covered the wooden sword again.

This time, the surface of the wooden sword is predominantly decorated with gold flames.

Everyone can feel warmth, comfort, and peace of mind from this flame.

Balza affirmed, "It's the power of the Light Element Priests!"

Bai Ling blinked, a smile playing on her lips, and said mysteriously, "There's a prize for the correct answer."

After saying that, the golden flame detached from the wooden sword, passed over the crowd, and struck the wooden block behind them.

"I wonder if the Palace Master will be surprised that I possess such spiritual power?"
