Chapter 125 Picnic
One-and-a-half-year-old Xinyao was toddling around the living room, exploring this new and exciting world with her still unsteady little legs.

Her eyes sparkled like two twinkling stars, filled with curiosity about everything around her.

Jiang Man looked at Xin Yao, who was playing happily in the living room, and her heart was filled with tenderness.

She turned to Qin Yishen, who was sitting to the side reading a newspaper, and said, "Yishen, the weather is so nice today, let's take Xinyao out to play."

Qin Yishen put down the newspaper in his hand, smiled and nodded, "Great, it's a good opportunity to take her out to experience the outside world."

Without hesitation, Jiang Man immediately began preparing the items Xin Yao would need for her trip.

She took out Xinyao's cute floral dress from the closet. It was embroidered with delicate little flowers and came with matching sandals.

Jiang Man gently picked up Xin Yao and tenderly changed her clothes, saying softly as she did so, "Baby, we're going out to play today, to a super fun place!"

Xinyao seemed to understand her mother's words, clapping her little hands happily and babbling in a language only she could understand. Qin Yishen, meanwhile, was preparing the picnic basket.

He carefully placed the prepared sandwiches, fruits, juices, and other items into the basket, and didn't forget to bring Xinyao's favorite snacks. Once everything was ready, the family of three headed towards the park.

Throughout the journey, Xinyao sat in the child safety seat in the back seat, extremely excited.

She would gaze at the scenery rushing past the window, exclaiming in amazement; then she would pick up a small toy and play with it by herself. Jiang Man would occasionally turn back to look at Xin Yao, her face beaming with a happy smile.

Qin Yishen focused on driving, occasionally glancing at his wife and daughter in the back seat through the rearview mirror, his eyes full of doting affection. After arriving at the park, Qin Yishen parked the car and took Xinyao out of the back seat.

When Xinyao saw the vast grassland, colorful flowers, and butterflies fluttering happily in front of her, her eyes widened instantly, and she excitedly reached out her little hand, wanting to touch those beautiful things.

They found a scenic lawn, spread out a picnic blanket, and arranged the food from their picnic basket. Xinyao sat on the picnic blanket, curiously looking at everything around her.

She picked up a sandwich, took a bite just like an adult, and got crumbs on her lips, looking very cute.

Jiang Man smiled and used a tissue to wipe the crumbs from the corner of her mouth. "Baby, eat slowly, don't rush."

After they finished eating, Qin Yishen took Xinyao's little hand and led her on her first steps across the grass. Xinyao walked unsteadily, but every step was filled with determination.

She would occasionally let go of her father's hand, wanting to walk independently. Although she would fall down after only a few steps each time, she never cried or fussed, but would immediately get up and continue trying.

Qin Yishen followed behind her, ready to catch her if she fell, his eyes full of encouragement. Jiang Man watched this heartwarming scene from the side, her heart filled with emotion.

She took out her camera and captured these beautiful moments.

Sunlight bathed them, painting a picture of happiness. As they walked, Xinyao was drawn to a cluster of flowers in the distance. She broke free from her father's hand and ran towards the flowers.

Qin Yishen quickly followed behind, afraid that she would fall.

Xinyao stood before the flowerbed, gazing at the vibrant blossoms, excitedly reaching out her little hand to pick them. Qin Yishen gently grasped her hand, "Sweetie, the flowers should stay here so everyone can see their beauty." Xinyao nodded, seemingly understanding, but her eyes remained fixed on the flowers. Just then, a butterfly flew over and landed on a flower. Xinyao's attention was immediately drawn to the butterfly. She tiptoed closer, trying to catch it. The butterfly seemed to sense the danger and fluttered away.

Xinyao watched the butterfly fly away, a look of disappointment on her face. Jiang Man walked over and gently picked her up, "Baby, the butterfly is going to play with its other friends. We can go find other fun things to do too."

They arrived at the lake in the park. The water was crystal clear, and fish swam freely in it. Qin Yishen found a spot on the shore, squatted down, picked up a small pebble, and taught Xinyao how to skip stones.

He gently tossed the pebble into the water, where it bounced a few times before sinking. Xinyao watched, mesmerized, and picked up a pebble herself, imitating her father.

Although the pebble simply fell straight into the water, she still smiled happily. Time flew by, and before she knew it, it was almost evening; it was time to pick up Shi'an and Shi Ning from school.

Jiang Man and Qin Yishen packed their things and took Xinyao to the children's school. Many parents had already gathered at the school gate. Jiang Man and Qin Yishen stood in the crowd, their eyes fixed on the school gate.

Finally, the school bell rang, and the children poured out of the school gate like a flock of joyful birds. Shi An and Shi Ning spotted their parents and younger sister at a glance, waving their arms excitedly and shouting, "Mom and Dad, we're here!"

The two, carrying their schoolbags, jogged all the way to their family.

Shi An hugged Xin Yao tightly and kissed her on her rosy cheek. "Little sister, did you miss your brother today?"

Xinyao laughed happily and reached out to grab Shi'an's hair. Shi Ning then affectionately took Jiang Man's arm, "Mom, so many interesting things happened at school today, I want to tell you about them."

On her way home, Shi Ning chattered away like a little sparrow, sharing the interesting things that happened at school.

"Mom, today in art class, I drew a picture of my family, and the teacher praised me for drawing well!"

Jiang Man listened with a smile, occasionally responding, "Really? Honey, you have to show it to Mom when you get home."

As Qin Yishen drove, he glanced at the children in the rearview mirror, his face full of satisfaction. Shi An, on the other hand, was playing with Xin Yao, who giggled and laughed, her clear laughter filling the entire car.

Back home, Qin Yishen placed Xinyao on the sofa, and Shi An and Shi Ning also put down their books and gathered around her. Jiang Man went into the kitchen to prepare a sumptuous dinner for the family.

Qin Yishen played with the children in the living room and suggested, "Kids, how about we play a game?"

The children clapped and cheered excitedly. They played a riddle game, with Qin Yishen giving the riddles and Shi An and Shi Ning vying to answer. Although Xin Yao didn't quite understand the rules of the game, she watched her older siblings and father having fun and smiled happily beside them, occasionally making some cute noises.

After a while, Jiang Man called out, "Dinner's ready!" The children immediately gathered around the dining table.

The table was filled with dishes that the children love, including sweet and sour pork ribs, cola chicken wings, stir-fried seasonal vegetables, and steamed egg custard, which is Xinyao's favorite.

The family sat together, enjoying a warm dinner. Shi Ning suddenly said, "Mom and Dad, I feel especially happy to be with you and my sister today."

Shi An nodded in agreement: "Yes, I hope every day can be like today."

Jiang Man and Qin Yishen exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with emotion. Qin Yishen said, "As long as our family is together, every day will be this happy."
