Chapter 199 Two Stripes

Shen Guining rubbed her stomach, opened the door and went out. She took a sip of water from the maid's glass, then went back to the sink and spat it out.

The maid reminded her, "Madam, have you had your period this month?"

Shen Guining thought for a moment, "It's been postponed for eight or nine days."

She realized what was happening and instinctively reached for her lower abdomen.

Although we haven't been using contraception since the wedding, it shouldn't be this fast, right?

Once the discomfort subsided, we returned to the restaurant.

It's more accurate to take the test when you wake up in the morning.

The phone suddenly rang.

She glanced down at the screen and answered the phone.

Qu Yanci's voice came through: "Are you awake?"

Shen Guining didn't answer, her gaze fixed on the two pregnancy test sticks.

Hearing no response, Qu Yanci spoke again: "Why aren't you saying anything, baby?"

He calculated the time difference; she should be up by now. Shen Guining's heart tightened, she gripped the pregnancy test, and her voice involuntarily rose, "Honey, two lines!"

Qu Yanci was uncharacteristically stunned for a moment, "...Pregnant?"

Shen Guining smiled and said, "Yes, we're going to have a baby!"

She placed her hand on her lower abdomen and said, "No wonder I haven't had a good appetite lately. I felt like throwing up yesterday when I smelled mutton."

"Still uncomfortable?"

"I don't feel bad now. I ate two servings of plum cake at my grandma's yesterday. It was very appetizing."

"Rest well at home, and I'll take you to the hospital for a check-up when I get back," Qu Yanci instructed.

Shen Guining obediently agreed, "Okay."

After hanging up the phone, Qu Yanci dialed his assistant's number, "Book the earliest flight back to China."

Jason didn't know why his boss suddenly changed the schedule, "But there's a business banquet tomorrow..."

Qu Yanci interrupted, "Cancel it."

Jason could only comply, saying, "Okay."

After learning she was pregnant, Shen Guining couldn't help but browse baby-related products on her phone.

The kids' clothes and toys are so cute, mini versions, they're absolutely adorable.

She always wondered whether the baby would resemble her more or Qu Yanci more.

Fortunately, both of them are good-looking, so no matter who they resemble, they will be a beautiful baby.

She had barely gotten pregnant when she couldn't wait to find out what her baby would look like when it was born.

I vomited twice during the day, and didn't eat much for lunch or dinner, but instead ate a whole bag of sour plums.

Shen Guining had never been able to eat sour food so much before, and she was also prone to drowsiness, so she went to bed early at nine o'clock at night.

Shen Guining hooked her arm around his neck, saying, "I'm not a child. I can take care of myself."
